Sound it good! It’s perfect! Really happy with this. Plays mums old vinyls brilliantly.

This was bought for somebody who wants it purely to play 78’s, while they continue to debate the possibility of investing in a real vintage gramophone. For more-modern vinyl they have a much better quality turntable so this isn’t to compare turntables as that isn’t really very fair.
As far as playing 78’s goes though it does the job very well and the speed is perfect and steady for these.
The built-in speakers seem to suit the sound of 78’s very well, but whether or not it would be good enough for more modern vinyl depends upon your expectations – this is, after all, an inexpensive record player and as such nobody should really be expecting top-end hifi performance.
It arrives well-packaged with a nicely-printed instruction manual complete with diagrams, a power adaptor with attached lead and a couple of audio cables and is ready-to-use straight out of the box.
Be aware that the captive lead on the power adaptor is quite short so there’s not much flexibility of where you can put this record player.
And although the instructions look fine at first glance they don’t actually go into much detail so if you’re really intending to use one of these for recording directly to a usb drive for example, be prepared for some head-scratching and a trial & error learning process. Because the instructions say that the USB system on this supports WAV and MP3, but doesn’t say anything more than that. Nothing about supported bitrates or how to record in either WAV or MP3 formats, nor whether it separates tracks itself or gets output as one long file.
(If anybody is interested, when we tried it out to see we found that it it recorded to one long WAV file and that was recorded at a low volume too. We haven’t investigated further because it isn’t our area of interest.)
So purely as a player of vinyl it is great value for money as long as your expectations aren’t too high, but the supposed “bells and whistles” of USB recording and bluetooth are somewhat let-down by the limited capability of this machine and by poor instructions which is fair enough at this price I suppose.

Our granddaughter asked for something like this for her 18th Birthday and to take to University. In the of streaming it’s nice to see young people wanting to play vinyl records. The unit is very well presented with lovely handles and case. In a nod to modernity it has a USB port so you can record your vinyl onto an MP3 or USB stick. There’s also the option to plug it into better speakers if you want although I think the sound quality is better than most mobile phone speakers.

Bought this as a gift for my daughter and it was a great price. Had an issue with it within a year but the seller sorted very quickly and I would totally recommend this seller. I am very happy.

My partner loves his Christmas present, the only thing is we can’t get it to connect to another speaker. The Bluetooth will connect to my phone but not an alexa. Its very frustrating

Bought as Christmas present. I was pleased with quality. Worked first try but then stopped. Looked at instructions & said this can happen in transit, belt under turntable works loose. Easy to fix & now works perfectly

After a faulty purchase I reordered as this was a gift item. And very pleased that my BFF loves it! Good value for money.

It’s a decent sound for the size and quality of speakers. I like the style alot, and I get compliments about it’s design when it’s out and playing. If you’re looking for that all-encompassing sound, I’d suggest plugging some specially-built speakers for the full LP experience, though I think this is a pretty decent budget option.

I was very pleased to find a turntable to play all discs from 33 – 78 rpm – sound quality wasn’t brilliant but I am able to play sound through my stereo using the audio stereo cable in the headphone socket.
