It’s exactly what I was looking for, but what else can be said about clay pebbles?
Very good you will have to wash before use but that is because it is a raw product just rinse before use.
Expensive for what they are but great to have had them delivered so I suppose I paid for their transport.
I’ve also used a few for decoration. See photo. Also to improve heavy clay soil, prone to “caking” and forming heavy clumps.
How they perform as water retainers is yet to be seen, but they allow drainage while preventing soil loss through drainage holes, and that is what I bought them for!
Really thought those were amazing – smaller bag than I thought but key advantage is that those are so light that it is super easy to put in place. I also believe the water just drains through which is absolutely perfect for us as well.

Although some are a little rough, generally good quality and has really improved substrate quality.

Second purchase but much bigger bag: using it instead of bark for my large pot plants unlike bark, doesn’t end up all over the garden, fluffy pets don’t get to bring it inside and I don’t have to top it up every year!
Really great product, good size of the bag and good size the pebbles are great for all gardens or ports, big or small. I originally had an issue with delivery of the item, have the seller was incredibly proactive and offered great customer service and dispatch a new one very quickly. Would recommend.
I bought one bag, thinking that it would be enough for what I needed but I was wrong, I ended up ordering another bag. I am using these (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007OWN2FW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I am currently using one to grow Watercress Aqua and ended up needing TWO bags. Well impressed with the clay balls and will be buying more when I expand my watercress to the other trays.
2nd purchase. Update: my plants are doing well growing hydroponicallly so have bought more to transfer the others.
First review: Transferred a couple of plants to leca and hydroponic care, they’re not dead yet so all is well. It’s a big bag for a little money, will purchase more soon as I’m pleased with the quality. Make sure you rinse off clay debris prior to use a few times
I got the wrong size of these pebbles, but for filling up a really big pot and therefore not wasting bags and bags of compost, there’s nothing to beat them.
Great stuff. Arrived fast and looks nice. You will need to hose off the peddles before use in hydroponics but apart from that, brilliant.
These work alright, I’m severely allergic to peat and the fungus stuff they seem to add to all the potting mix in Scotland… Can’t find actual dirt to save my life here… So this is doing the job along with worm castings. It seems expensive for clay balls, but they’re more elsewhere.

I don’t know how ill be able to use the whole bag as its so big.
Only draw back was the delivery. The box was split as was the bag. It was dreadful and I believe I lost mny pebbles in the transportation process. But this is not a fault of the product.

I was advised to get this for my new planter so water would be retained and it seems to work very well.
Used for lining the bottom of my indoor plant pots and for putting an inch on the compost after potting. Keeps compost moist as well as excellent draining.

Good price, product can be used as a form of drainage in pots. These also absorb water and act as a reservoir for your plants.
Huge bag! Good size. Small pebbles. Great value. I use them for filling the bottom of pots before I put soil in. For placing on saucers with pot on top, for extra humidity and putting on the top of soil for some plants. Highly recommended. And I didn’t bother washing.

Les sac de 10 litres est vraiment imposant,mais j’en ai mis pas mal par pots et il m’en reste un peu.On verra dans le temps si elles font bien leur boulot de drainage.
Parfait en bacs a fleurs ou au jardin , mais qualit mdiocre pour” l’hydro” , deux tiers de billes sont brises et continuent a se dliter en micros-fragments qui bouchent pompes et filtres !
Excellent product for my indoor plants. I put a later at the bottom of every pot before filling with soil. Will try on orchids later when re-potting. Excellent packaging and delivery.

Good value, good quality from a well trusted and recommended brand. If using for hydroponics be sure to wash the pebbles before using, they aren’t as dusty as some other brands out there but nevertheless. This 10 litre bag is plenty for six, 5 gallon pots.

Exactly as described! You get a lot for what you pay and only use a fraction of it. Needed to be washed a couple times because of the clay dust, but they provide really good airflow and drainage.
Un Kentia pour mon anniversaire, il fallait le rempoter. ce fut chose faite et avec les billes d’argile en fond de pot, impeccable. j’ai d’autres rempotages faire alors les billes seront les bienvenues. Produit excellent !!!
Billes d’argile apparement naturelle (non colores). Un peu de poussire et de qualit moyenne.

Use these for my orchids. I have repotted 10 from 1 bag and they have been growing very well.
Les billes d’argile sont de petite taille, ce qui ne m’a pas gne dans la mesure ou elles taient destines tapisser le fond d’une grande jardinire sur pied dans laquelle j’avais pralablement dpos un feutre de jardinage.
C’est indispensable de veiller au bon drainage de l’arrosage si on veut avoir et conserver de belles plantations.

Waoh! 45 litres of clay pebbles is a LOT! Now I have clay pebbles for the rest of my life.
They have a good porous structure and seem to absorb water well. I use them as a darainage layer for all my potted plants.
A bit dusty, so make sure to watch out from where the wind comes from and do it outside.

I bought this for my orchids and it’s brilliant, you need to make sure you wash it first but definitely recommend and I bought the 45 litres it was a bargain I’m ok for life now it’s huge

Great for making big planters lighter, for an extra reserve of water without soaking the roots, to put around orchids and other plants that need moisture but not water. You water the clay and not the plant, everybody is happy.
hey might have a lot of other purposes I don’t know of, I use them for the bottom of plants, and they are nice and handy to keep at home, and much lighter than lugging pebbles around
Arrived fast! Not used as yet as is more for next year when the season is with us, so will write a proper review later. But, delivery was fast and the bag is without holes.

Put 1 to 2 cm layer at bottom of indoor planter does the trick we dont want the roots rotting now do we.
Used these for drainage and topping on pots with Blueberry bushes in . Good drainage and so far no weeds. Look good as well.
These pebbles are great for my plant pots. They are a little dusty when you first open them. I gave them a rinse, soak and then another rinse and they were perfect for use.
I have used these for drainage and decoration, they have been a godsend in the hot weather. Excellent product at a good price

Don’t know about use in aquaponics but great for my purposes – making well-drained composts for bonsai, cactus and curry leaf trees, and adding a layer on top of pots for alpines, seakale, herbs and generally decorative mulch.
Big bag that I thought would last years but I’m finding loads of unexpected uses.

Nice a cheap but not the nice uniform round ones. Theses are all different shapes so not good if you want pretty topping on your houseplants very ugly.

They’re clay pebbles so not much needs to be said. I wish they didn’t have to be washed as much because it took me a while before they didn’t leave a scummy layer around my pots.

I marked these down by one star due to the amount of cleaning they require. I soaked them for half hour in a bowl, drained them, agitated the water, soaked again, rinsed them about 4/5 times, works better if done in small batches. Still black dust coming out after all that! Also these are meant to be 8-20mm, but I had so many particles that were much smaller than that.
These are very light, definitely not for aquariums as most of them float in water. They are brown/grey in colour so look quite good in orchid clear pots.
