Zyklop Speed Ratchets
Featuring Wera’s famous Kraftform handle. Like no other, the Kraftform handle is shaped to perfectly fit the hand for the best possible screw-driving experience. The multi-component design features hard zones for rapid working speeds and also softer gripping zones that provides high torque transfer and extreme comfort during intensive use. Wera’s Kraftform handle – makes blisters and calluses a thing of the past. Zyklop Speed ratchet heads pivot freely, meaning it can be locked into any pre-defined position using the slide switch. Predefined locking at 0° allows the ratchet to be used as a conventional screwdriver with the attachment of a bit holding adaptor and bit. Additional locking points at 15° and 90° both to the left and right ensure safe working without any slipping of the ratchet head. Combine the features of the Kraftform handle, a free-spinning sleeve and an impressive 72 fine-tooth ratchet mechanism… Zyklop Speed ensures fast and precise working in all situations. Simple clockwise/anti-clockwise direction change by using the thumbwheel. The ball lock mechanism securely holds sockets for safe working, with easy removal via pressing the release button on the back of the ratchet head.

Lovely to use.
I have the 42 piece 1/4″ set, and I can say it’s a really lovely thing to use, I often search for an excuse to use it. Some other reviewers are commenting about the heads slipping, but I have not experienced this, and anyway their problem might be with the manufacturing tolerances of the screws or bolts they are torquing.
The 1/4″ seize means this is a small, single handed tool for light duty use. For me it replaces my multi-set screwdrivers and Alen keys. If you want to work on larger jobs like a lawnmower, car or motorbike, the 1/2″ version, or a conventional socket set is more likely what you need.
It’s certainly expensive, but this set includes a big range of tools and stores them in one well sealed case. I think the real worth is perhaps that, although a far cheaper tool could do the same job, this ratchet set makes what would normally be a chore, into a joy.
If you like tools and want to pamper yourself, this is the set to get.

Decent kit, should last a lifetime if looked after properly. I like the sturdiness of the ratchet, the 3/4 kit was rubbish but the 1/2 is so much better so far.

Expensive, but you can see where your money is going.
I think I probably should have got the 3/8″ set, I suspect that’s the best of both worlds. I’ve got a handful of bolts that are too big for this set, so will probably end up buying the 1/2″ as well as the 1/4″ at some point.

This is the Picasso of Ratchet Sets! A top quality product with a number of accessories to make working with it a pleasure. Used only twice so far – but who cares. I think I’ll just sit here and look at it. High price? Maybe, but it is only an accountant that knows the cost of everything and the value of nothing. I have no regrets in buying this beauty.
