Pro’s- I was happy with the camera and found the solar panel did the job but obviously in winter time had to charge the battery.
The cons- (and that is just what it is) this camera is advertised with free cloud storage and that was a consideration for me when choosing among a myriad of products. Unfortunately my storage was cut on the first two cameras from seven days free cloud storage then to three then none. Adverts offered cloud plans so I reluctantly took out one at 23.99 and the cloud was restored but only one camera. I contacted Aiwit through their customer service link and they said the supplier (Amazon) was responsible and they were only cloud storage suppliers. I told them they better restore the cloud storage to all three cameras as I expected them all to have that support – they replied the storage plan was per camera so it would now cost 23.99 x3 per month (79.97) per month where I was initially paying nothing. I then contacted Amazon and after some discussion I made it crystal clear I would be contacting UK Trading Standards about this as I am of the opinion it is a breach of trade descriptions act- the advert was as follows when I bought these cameras.

I requested Amazon give me a formal response as I intend to inform Trading Standards on the statements from Aiwit and Amazon.
Amazon were very fair and emailed immediately return labels for these two separate orders, (the first was ordered over a year and a half back). The money was in my bank the following day from posting even before they would have received them. Great service from Amazon – disgraceful treatment from Aiwit. So I wouldn’t use any products from this company again and if you look at reviews as I did the complaints are all around our part of the world including USA – more complaints about storage with door bell cameras.
It’s a shame- they make a good product but blatantly lie on the advert. They should be up front and say the cloud is free on a trial period then will incur a charge.
The replacements camera I have is cheaper, does the job and comes with a free 64gb media card so no cloud charges and less opportunity to be hacked through it.
BEWARE!!

I recently sold my Arlo setup as I was tired of taking the cameras down to charge them every month. Thought I’d give one of these ago and a month in and it’s far surpassed expectations! The battery drops to around 90% over night but is fully charged again the following day, they save any footage for seven days, that coupled with the fact you don’t need a ‘hub’ means that this is a totally self sufficient setup. I’ve since brought another and really can’t say enough good things about them, very highly recommend!

I liked that I can look day or night at the camera and it is so good day or night highly recommended

I now have 2 of these cameras because I was so Impressed with the 1st camera I bought perfect for home security and great battery life

I have tried a number of different cameras from different companies. What I found is that the batteries run out too quick and are awkward to get to tha camera and replace. I purchased the first wongkuo camera and was total impressed with how easy the set was. Secondly with the solar charge panel no more changing batteries. The picture quality I’d brilliant. Both day and night vision. I have now purchased a 2nd camera they are so good.

Easy to set up both camera and app, quality is decent. Only downfall is that the charge isn’t powerful and connection to live camera when wanted is always delayed

It is 100% cordless and easy to install. It is 1080p resolution with over 130 degree of viewing angle which is a fantastic feature as a outdoor camera.
I was really impressed by the solar panel as it takes 2~3hrs to charge the camera from 60% to 100%.
It is wonderful.

The camera is very good at picking up motion and the picture quality is excellent.
Unfortunately the viewing access is not very good.

My access point is saying the signal from the camera is good, while the Aiwit app is reporting only a fair signal at the camera.
Accessing the camera from the app is not always timely, sometimes there is a time lag of several seconds in alerts being received.

Very easy to install, no problem to pair with the app and general functionality is as described. The solar panel maintains battery charge extremely well and the picture/video quality is excellent both during daylight and nighttime.
The only issue I have is that the motion detection is too sensitive, even when set to it’s lowest setting (everything seems to trigger it, from swaying bushes in the wind to passing clouds reflecting on my car). Sometimes I have to turn the motion detection off to stop constant notifications on my phone.

Use this for the back garden picture quality very good.

After contacting customer service on the AiWit App, the only problem I had with the camera was solved with a replacement which they sent very quickly.Their attention to the issue was prompt and very helpful.

First thing to note is I like this a lot, but I’ve only given it 4 stars ….I never give anything 5 because if you tell people somethings brilliant they stop trying to improve it . Now the one thing to note and the only negative I found was you have to fully charge the battery before you put it up not really a problem and my fault for not reading the guide properly other than that it’s easy to install and set up the picture excellent motion alarms are sensitive but easily adjusted and I can watch my oil tank at work 200 miles away with no issues …

Excellent product keeps my camera charged at all times without having to take indoors to charge the battery, very good value for money, I was so pleased that I purchased a second solar panel for camera at back of property.

Had this camera in use for about 3.5 months. It’s been ok so far, mines constantly plugged into a circuit, I disconnect occasionally to help preserve the battery. Previously it’ll stay charged for ages, recently though the battery only half charges, so if you’re reliant on taking camera down to charge it, eventually it could be an issue. Really under 4 months and the battery plays up is not ideal. I’ll probably get a replacement battery but that’s nearly half the price of the whole unit. If they does the same I’ll look elsewhere for a different make. Shame really as it does what it’s supposed to and you can talk through it, pick up video while out and about.

Motion sensor excellent, I can monitor from my phone very easily, see night and day very clearly of my door and car, easy to install, good signal and battery can be charged weekly with no fuse or wiring
Very clear pictures and can review easily to and gain support from customer service via app on phone.

I choose this because of the positive reviews and it was on a deal so i paid under 56 in black Friday week …Very very impressed so far for the price. Easy to set up with free 7 day cloud storage which is more than enough as you can download clips if needed to save them. You can buy more if you want but I’ve no need. No need to buy SD cards so again cheaper at outset. Alerts on my mobile when its activated with only a couple of seconds between activation and notification. Different levels of motion sensitivity so we made ours less sensitive and it still picks up anyone near my cars and door. Sound and voice function so you can talk to someone at the door… useful as I live in a 3 storey house. Lastly the solar panel it came with is very effective. I was dubious it would suffice in the current dull wet weather of December but it is excellent! Camera battery vegetal well over 90% during daylight then his into the 80s over night but gets charged right up again as soon as its daytime. Night vision is never going to allow face ID although we live in an unlit cul de sac with no street lighting and I’ve no security
light working as it needs a new bulb so it may be much better when it arrives. Good picture in the daytime. To be honest this is a deterrent and wanted to be alerted if someone was by my car or house and it does that well…. Really impressed with this over all for what it cost and I’m waiting for another deal price when I will get another for the back of my house.

This works brilliantly! We bought it to keep an eye on the chickens in flockdown, as we put them in a stable for now. We soon found the rat issue and the evidence was sent via (multiple) motion detection alerts! The night vision is really clear (it’s pitch black out there) and the picture quality is really good. We’re getting a second!!
