Defo recommend this life saver. Great finish of wood cuts and cuts fine cuts where needed. It is accurate and not bad at all as some mentioned. I have even bought a replacement spare blade so a good investment. Thanks for the quick turnaround on both Amazon.

Not much speed for wood cutting
This is a very nice circular saw in the handling and grip department. however, the speed is not adequate for cutting wood.
Ease of use
Typical proper worx tool excellent build and really easy to use. One downside ,if like me you like to keep your stuff in the case supplied then you need to remove the blade every time or it doesn’t fit in the case.
Good power from a cordless
Used a couple of times so far and very impressed. With the TCT blade cut wood, MDF, OSB, and kitchen worktop to various depth and it did it all easily – I’m impressed.

bought this worx saw today sunday 18th model no wx523.9 body only and i thought that my old saw blades would fit but they do not and i can not get hold of blades that fit this model of saw

Love Worx as a brand and this does nothing but improve their reputation. The saw is easy to use, light, manoeverable, and will accurately attack any job you throw at it.
Watch out for small splinterschunks if wood fowling the inside of the blade, especially on thinslim cuts, otherwise it’s great…..

useful compact cordless plunge saw
Very useful small circular saw. Easy to use, cuts well.
Only thing is the blade protection plate needs careful use when cutting through planks.. have to hold it up with the little tang at the same time as switching on the blade or the plate hits the plank edge and won’t rise…so the saw won’t start ( safety feature) but works brilliantly for plunging and has plenty of power to cut a 2 inch plank.
I would definitely buy this tool…uses the same worx batteries as all the worx 20v tools.

Great mini saw
Used it for chopping pallets, cutting chipboard and plywood. Very easy to use, cuts perfect.
I bought this WX531 to replace my aging Makita 165mm 18V circular. I did think long and hard about the WX530 (Exatrack) vs this WX531. Ultimately, I decided that I rarely cut deeper than 40mm so favoured the smaller, lighter tool. Also if I do need to cut deeper than 40mm a cordless is usually not up to the job so I would use my 230v Makita circular in those rare cases.
Cuts 38mm worktop, MDF, CLS ect with ease. It runs very fast at 6900 rpm so cuts very cleanly.
I haven’t tried cutting tiles or metal pipe yet but I am sure it will work fine.
Remember that any circular saw is only as good as its blade….. currently (28/07/20) Amazon UK dont stock WA5100 replacement blades. However they do have the slightly narrower WORX WA5046 blades which look like they would fit.
Like the others, Its an annoyance that the unit wont fit the case without removing the blade. Also the Hex holder on mine doesn’t hold it very firmly in place, though it hasn’t fallen out yet.
All in all very nice little tool. 4 stars.
Easy to use
Why didn’t I buy one of these earlier? Delivered today and I’ve used it all day, plenty of power to cut though a 38mm work top, hardly any chipping, easy to control and light. Made my day so much easier. I agree with the other review about having to remove the blade so it will fit back in the case, but it only takes a minute.
wx531.9 is an awesome little saw
Plenty of power with a 4amp battery and last a good amount of time, used to cut plenty of 18mm ply and floorboards no to mention a couple of small trees maybe 100mm thick gets through everything just fine, will cut off if you twist it. The tile cutting blade worked great on some 900×900 11mm thick floor tiles small amount of chipping roughly a millimetre whilst cutting as you would expect with a slitted blade. Do like the brushless stuff they are selling also have the brushless impact driver that is awesome, might replace the old worx combi driver with a brushless next.
Good saw shame about the case.
Exelent light saw, very versatile.
But what lightweight thought it was a good idea to supply a case that requires the blade to be removed every time to allow it to fit back in.

I got this as a birthday gift, I primarily use it for chopping up wood for my log burner but have used it for diy jobs around the home, great for cutting skirting boards , floor boards but is limited on its depth, fairly powerful motor, even straining it doesn’t slow it down much. Only bad points is it doesn’t come with a charger but I managed to find an erbauer charger on screwfix that will charge the battery.
So I got this saw to cut out subfloor and cut sheets of plywood to replace, works great runs right through 12mm ply hardwood and right through 23mm chipboard with no trouble, ive found the 2mah battery dont last long and dont have near as much power as a 5mah battery, so my advise is buy the tool and get 5mah batterys on popular auction sites that work with all worx tools. very handy piece of kit I was worried it would not be powerfull enough but it really does work great.

Had to get a replacement battery charger as the first one did not work.

I brought the saw to replace a chop saw the I paid many hundreds of pounds for and the works unit is as good if not better than my last saw this is worth its purchase price but if you need longer running buy the larger batter for the works unit.

It takes a bit of getting used to the fact that you have to push the saw down to.the stop .to cut
You can’t lock the table and blade depth in the position and cut
But saying that it’s a great little saw

I was surprised with how easy it cut a piece of damp plywood. I bought it solely as I had several more powerful inter changeable batteries, the battery supplied with this unit is a cost cutting version as it has no visual power remaining check facility. It’s a tool I will not use often but it is convenient to just go to the van and grab it for those small quick get a floorboard up occasions. If you intend to demolish a rain forest, then this is not the tool you need. Overall so far OK.

Very good tool very easy to handle, if you are doing general d,i,y, round the home it is a very practical saw. I used it to trim 25mm off a stud wall when fitting wardrobe doors as the new ones were 20mm too big and it saved me a lot of time and hassle.

Useful for what I need it for. Do not expect it to cut anything thicker than the blade I have used it to cut thicker wood, IE cut one side then turn it over and cut from other side. But it does struggle with this but remember it is not designed to work like this. I only added this in in case other buyers were toying with the same idea…………….

I bought this today as I thought it would be useful around the house .It seems well made but I won’t know until I have used it more to see how long the battery lasts .
I already have a Circular Saw and when using that one you put two hands on it to activate the two step safety switches and when you start to cut the blade guard slides up and allows the blade to meet the wood.
This saw works in a different way ….the one hand ( right in my case) operates the two triggers to start the saw but you also need to press in a section and at the same time pull up a hook to release the guard hiding the blade which allows the workpiece to be cut . …and I find that tricky ….Is there a knack to do this
EDIT :I think I have sussed how to deal with holding the saw and pulling up the sole plate at the same time so it should get easier in time …not the best designed feature tho’
I tried it out to cut a piece of laminate and I was using the parallel guide and the guide height means the laminate can fit in the gap so thats no good for thin wood unless I can adapt the guide ….possibly by glueing on another piece of wood or plastic .
I was also going to say that somewhere to “park” the Allen Key would be useful but it might sit to one side of the sole plate .
Otherwise I have no complaints but time will tell

Perfect tool for building my shed from scratch. Used old pallets that needed cutting. This little saw was just right. Cutting depth good for it.

Recommend for DIY use
An ideal portable saw for shallow cuts, I separately purchased a larger battery for more prolonged use, but surprisingly I have not had need to use it.

Bought for doing the decking cuts, works is still in progress but so far so good. Laser is good, definitely needed as otherwise difficult to see blade line.

Nice and easy to use
Nice and easy to use. I do wish it would tilt to 45 degrees angle, however its been really useful and easy to use and saw the heavy 19mm plywood sheets into smaller sizes so that I could carry them easily and store them indoors.

Great Product but the battery lets you down, very little staying power which comes as standard with the product. Needs higher powered battery otherwise great to use, lot better than heavy cumbersome Circular saw. It would be even better if it could come with rail platform to give accurate straight cuts.

This is suited to light woodwork and you are still going to need a heavier duty circular saw for the bigger stuff.
Battery life seems good and it is possible to use this with one hand.
