This works really well as long as you have a USB 3 port dedicated to your kinect, a shared/daisy chained port will cause errors.

I found this a very competitive price as my Kinect didn’t work on an up to date Xbox. It’s works and I’ve had no problems with this product my child is happy so good value for money

This adaptor was out of my price range when I originally looked at purchasing the Xbox Kinect sensor and at the time there were no alternatives to the expensive ones. 2 years later I finally got hold of the Xbox Kinect sensor and was glad to see common sense had prevailed in the pricing of the adaptor to connect to your pc. Although I’m pretty sure they’re of Chinese origin and the reliability of such units would make you think twice I can say so far the unit has worked well without any issues and allowed me to get on with using the Kinect with its many applications through a pc. That said we’ll see if reliability becomes an issue later on. Will keep you posted

Was sceptical but really wasn’t needed. Do be aware that you will need to do a hard reset of the new gen consoles after the kinect is connected to recognise the device.
I have used this as a webcam on my PC (works with both camera and microphone). It allows the use of Windows Hello (ie login with your face) and 3D scanning. I have also used it to dictate into Word and other apps. I believe it will allow you to use Cortana with your pc but I’ve not tried that.
Worked seamlessly, allowing for conversion of kinect camera to webcam.
I had to look under device manager, find the kinect under USB and update a driver (I forget the details – google “kinect 2.0 windows10 driver update”) but now it works with Win10 PERFECTLY.
I use it as my defualt webcam now, PLUS it enables Windows Hello – which means it unlocks my PC by looking at it. This is not available to most webcams, but the kinect 3D sensors means this feature is now available to me.
In addition to decent webcam quality, the microphone sensor array in the Kinect is brilliant. Handy for those family zoom meetups RN.

Having been an early adopter of both Kinect devices across two different Xbox platforms, we’ve become accustomed to the great functionality it provides.
It does everything all the numerous remotes do, allows us to control all of our entire entertainment systems in one and signs us in when it recognises us. Microsoft’s attitude towards Xbox One X users and Kinect was appalling – removing the Kinect-shaped USB port from the XB1X and then stopping manufacture of the converter. Microsoft provide Alexa skills, that don’t exist outside of the US – not that we’d want an Amazon anti-privacy device in our home in any case. At least with Microsoft we know where we stand.
Thankfully this adapter resolves the issue and we’ve had our Kinect friend back (reliably) ever since. Once or twice we’ve accidentally knocked the connector out whilst cleaning, but reconnecting it seems to resolve the problem without issue.
It also avoids the unscrupulous sellers who bough the Microsoft Kinect Adapter en masse, jacking the prices up 400% – plus this will work if you want to use your Kinect device on a Windows PC / embedded device.

Does the job I guess. Having not used my kinect for nearly 2 years now since I got my X, I wanted to try this out at last. Simple to setup and works perfectly, but unfortunately takes up a whole wall plug, and therefore I’ve already stopped using it.
I bought twice this adapter from other sellers and neither worked with my XBOX One S. This one was my last hope an it just perfect. Work as it should do. Thanks!
It arrived pretty quickly. Looks and feels the part. Was easy to set up and works perfectly. Still a tad expensive, but cheaper than most, and needs must.
I brought this to use with my Windows PC and the Driver4VR software to add full body tracking affordably to my VR setup.
And using this adapter and the Microsoft Kinect driver software I was able to add this well enough.
I’m happy with my purchase, and it’s a lot easier to buy this than open up the kinect and hard modify it.
Got an Xbox One S over the christmas period and have been interested in trying out the Kinect 2 both with games on the Xbox One and software to do things on the computer although I am waiting to receive a compatible USB 3 card for my PC so haven’t tried it on the PC yet.
Works perfectly, have long cable lengths so can be relatively far from your console if you need it be and what I understand the power brink itself is smaller than the official adapter that is a bonus.
The adapter works perfectly and was trivial to setup. What a lifesaver after Microsoft abandoned the Xbox One Kinect.
Easy to install, just follow instructions click and play, just need to set it yp in yoyr game ie you can be seen and move etc, then your good to go
