I won this digital gift card on a game. The girl sent me the code for it and it didn’t work! We tried again and again but it wouldn’t work! In the end the girl had to give me 10 to buy another one from my account! As she used her account to buy it and then sent me the code. So I had to buy another one which worked luckily, but I have no idea what happened with the first one?! The girl contacted Amazon customer support but got nowhere so we gave up and brought another one! Be careful wen you buy the digital ones as if it doesn’t work you get no help (u cud contact Microsoft) but I don’t know what they could do? As I said they weren’t very helpful wen she contacted them so 10 was wasted

I was concerned as some reviewers stated the voucher was credited to their own Microsoft account when following the link in the email. I looked up the voucher code in my amazon account (also linked in the email) and let my son use it through the “redeem’ option on his Xbox.
Earlier this year I also ended up with a 25 credit when I used the email link to use the voucher. It’s still sitting in my Microsoft account as I have no need for it and am not able to pass it to my son as originally intended.
Dear Amazon, the description needs updated regarding using it as a gift. More importantly however is a review of the email content to clarify the link will allow the user to credit the money to their MS account. There should be some instructions on how to use it as a gift for someone else. Making the email more user friendly would save a lot of frustration. Thank you.

You can’t get a printable versio
What would have helped was to be able to have a printable option. I was told to go to my games and downloads and not only am I rubbish at that but these were presents (from Father Christmas) so my partner had to make a pdf doc for me to print!

Much SAFER way to keep control of your kids spending. **!! YES FORTNIGHT ! I’m sure I’m not alone as one of many parents who made the mistake of adding their bank card details In son’s Xbox Live account! Until the day you’re out grocery shopping and you’re card gets declined at the checkout. Only then, you discover Microsoft has emptied your bank with unauthorised purchases? What can one say about a gift card? There is very little can be said. However, how the card is reddemed is another thing and Microsoft know how to make the process easy. Microsoft Gift Cards are good value for money as once redeemed they can be used towaeds some good bargains, which Misrosoft regularly have. These cards can be redeemed through a Windows Phone, a PC or an XBox, which gives three sources of redemption. In addition, when used for XBox games the games can be downloaded to any platform that supports them, at no estra cost. Basically, a 10 Gift Card can buy as many as three good games and each can be played on three devices thus for 10 one can have as many as nine games stored on his / her devices. I recommend the Gift Card as the credit is available as and when required, no waiting for delivery, is great as a gift to others and is just so convenient.
