Battery lasts ages, while it cuts through almost everything
Cut two massive leylandi hedges, with some thick branches, with no problem. It took ages, but the battery showed no signs of fading, and the blades cut through everything. Really impressed.

    Does it do the job
Seems to do the job but heavier than I had hopped although this may be due to the fact that it seems a little unbalanced. Not easy to put together had to ask my neighbour for help

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReally good cutter but heavy
This cuts really well and battery life is really good. As others have said it is heavy when fully extended and battery loaded. Don’t think I’ll ever test the full extent of the battery because 30 – 40 mins is quite enough on the arms in one go. But no hesitation in recommending it’s cutting ability.

Great but heavy if not Arnold.
It is a handy piece of kit to have in your hedge trimming arsenal. But one thing to note,it is heavy. Unless your like the man in the vid with arms bigger than my legs, you will find it heavy to use for long periods especially when extended to reach height. Saying that though,it is marvellous. No wires to worry about cutting through or tripping over. A very usefull tool for the garden. More pros than cons. Only four stars because of weight, and Im feeling bad for that.

    It is heavy!
Nice bit of kit but really designed for high hedges only. I’m a 72 year old man of average strength. My hedges are between 5 and 7 foot high but up to 5 foot wide. This means that I have to use this trimmer fully expended at shoulder height most of the time. My arm, wrist and shoulder muscles were complaining loudly yesterday after about 30 minutes of work because the leverage effect makes it very heavy and today my back has kicked in as well. It is also quite cumbersome and unwieldy if you have to work in confined spaces. Wish I’d bought a smaller and lighter model. Having said that, and to be fair, the machine itself is well constructed and cuts very well, but it will be at its most effective when used on very large hedges with plenty of space to work in.

I forgot to add that the battery life, on first use and compared to my previous model, is spectacularly good. 75% remaining after 30+ minutes use!

    Good produce
This is a well made product my only criticism is a little bit heavy but otherwise good value

    Nice bit of ki
Bit on the heavy side but aren’t they all. Just the job for reaching those hard to reach Bits of hedging, folds up nicely for storage .

    Great Garden Tool
I normally use a petrol hedge trimmer and step ladder. Although this is fairly heavy, nowhere near as heavy as a petrol cutter. Telescopic feature is brilliant. Easily cuts what were normally hard to reach spots.
Battery life is good, only used 20% to cut the hedge, which took 45 minutes.
    Great tool for the price.

    very well made
On a high hedge about 7 foot tall and about 60 ft long this really gets very heavy with arms stretching out.

That apart it is a nice purchase.

    Fabulous tool
One of the best garden tools I have ever bought. It makes hedge cutting a pleasure instead of a chore.

Does the job and a decent battery life. Was able to chop through the top of my hedge and not overly heavy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNot the most powerful trimmer but certainly the longest - and the battery is not to bad!
Does a decent job. I have heard people mentioning how heavy these extendable trimmers are. You can pick up a bag of sugar? Now sellotape it to a broom handle and hold it out horizontally – the same principle applies here. I made a shoulder strap (from…an old bag shoulder strap) and this makes for easier carrying.

As far as the battery. I spent 60 minutes cutting on and off and it lasted no problem.
Power of cutting? I would low-medium. If you are familiar with plugged in electrical trimmers – or petrol versions, you will notice the step down in power here. It gets through bigger branches..eventually ( a bit like a baby knawing a biscuit).

I am happy with the purchase. I have two 12 foot high bushes and I can now (safely) reach the top. Job Done.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGood trimme
Very good trimmer in terms of design and battery run time and ease of use. Downside is the weight when extended to maximum length. I’m a fit male but I struggle after 5 or so minutes. I wouldn’t recommend it to people who are not very strong physically.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersWorth consideratio
This review falls into two parts. What I got and my first use experience.

Firstly, what I got. Well it was what I ordered with a tiny addition. When I got it was patently not the original customer as the box and its content had plainly been opened before (broken and resealed packaging, wires on the charger coiled and re-stuffed in the box). Pre owned? Returned and repaired? Either way I have been charged the full price on the day with no indication that what I was buying was, essentially pre-owned(?). Not advertised as such.

In use, this is pretty good. It says best for moderate sized hedges. I have no idea what a moderate sized hedge is, but I am guessing that its not the two hedges that run the length of my property, so it will get a good run and a couple of recharges by the time I have finished (this written after the second day in use). Thus far the battery claimed life of 1 hour doesn’t seem unrealistic as that would be the approximate adjusted run time I ran it down to 10%, but that is on a “new” battery and from 100%.

Ergonomically it fits me fine. It isn’t light but I have certainly seen heavier and it lacks the trailing cables that can be a bit of a nuisance. The front handle is close to the head which gives a more braced posture but I can see that it might be a bit of a bind for those with a shorter reach (mine is roughly average for a male). Might be improved by including a strap, but that would be a personal preference.

The battery is not compatible with my Yard Force lawn mower I purchased earlier in the year, which is understandable given the weight implications (small amounts on the end add up the longer that you are wafting something like this around). More of a bind, the chargers are not even interchangeable, which is not necessary as far as I can see, even if the batteries are sourced from different manufacturers, they sit in a case which surely can be homogenised. It would also be a good marketing move as some other manufacturers do use a whole system approach.

And the tiny addition included in my repackaged item?

    A rusty nail.

    No, I don’t know either.

Beautifully made, if that is all you need!
Because the plastic collar that joins both parts together is made of crap plasric and not aluminium. And strips very easily, please strengthen this Terra Tek, it’s so powerful l had to buy another one as nd live with the fact that I will never separate the two parts, that’s the only way it will last.

It could do to have a shoulder strap to take some of the weight.

    Very good so far.
Only used three times so far, but very practical, and seems as safe as hedge cutters can be made. I mainly bought it to use on my leylandii hedge for which it is very good.

Quite heavy as mentioned by others but very effective for what I need and multiple angles for the blade are a blessing.

Saves a lot of hassle with leads.
Very easy to use. Saves a lot of bending. Cuts tall hedges without the need for a ladder.
