What Makes Sakura Special?
Sakura is a great all rounder – it’s ideal for the growing family or people who just love eating rice! Sakura can cook all types of rice perfectly at the touch of a button but also has useful complementary add on multi functions. Our advanced fuzzy logic technology controls the temperature using phased cook cycles for the efficient and perfect cooking of many different types of rice. Advanced Fuzzy Logic
Sakura uses our Yum Asia designed advanced fuzzy logic programming to control the temperature for the efficient cooking of many different types of rice including long grain, short grain (sushi), brown rice and a quick cook option if you want the rice cooked a little faster. Sakura is designed to cook rice using 7 distinct phases to produce perfect rice every time and to carefully retain nutrients, aroma, texture and give a great taste. This phased cooking and adjustments in temperature are controlled using Sakura’s microprocessor and ensure perfectly cooked rice every time. Sakura also has an improved 10 minute countdown timer for rice cook functions to give you advanced warning of when your perfectly cooked rice will be ready for serving.
24 Hour Keep Warm/Timer
Unique to Yum Asia’s rice cookers is a 24 hours automatic keep warm – it keeps rice at an ideal serving temperature until it’s ready to be served. There is a countdown indicator during the cooking cycle and when the rice is cooked a beep sounds and the cooker automatically shifts to keep warm mode. For added convenience, there is a preset time function which can be set up to 24 hours in advance, so you can have delicious rice ready for when you come in from work or nice, steaming hot porridge waiting on a cold winter’s morning.

Ninja Ceramic Bowl
We have designed every aspect of Sakura with our customers in mind and decided to include a hard-wearing, 5 layer inner bowl with a 2mm thick ceramic coating which is BPA-free and PTFE/PFOA free. Now with improved easy to read silk print water level lines for different types of rice.
3D Heating Technology
Sakura has a heating element on the inside bottom of the unit and a unique 3D heating design. This means that the heat from the heating element is dispersed around the sides of the bowl and heat also comes from the stainless steel inner lid to apply heat downwards into the inner bowl for more even cooking of rice and other dishes.
Easy Cleaning / Good Hygiene
The stainless steel inner lid, steam cap and condensation collector are all removable for easy cleaning and no mess. The slick thermopolymer exterior is easily wiped down for that new appearance every time and added hygiene.
7 Phased Rice Cooking Using Advanced Fuzzy Logic
Sakura uses advanced fuzzy logic to ensure rice is cooked perfectly every time. The graph above shows how the fuzzy logic microprocessor adjusts the temperature using the weight and detecting the heat inside the bowl along with pre-programmed conditions to cook rice on a typical cooking cycle.
Sakura also uses 7 phases of cooking which includes preheat, absorb water, heating, boiling, steam, cool down and keep warm with steam which are each calculated for time and temperature using the advanced fuzzy logic to create the perfect rice for your meal.
1. Preheat – Sakura starts to gently heat the rice and water in the inner bowl to between 50-60°C. This begins the cooking cycle and is key to the release of sugars into the water from the rice grains.
2. Absorb Water – The cooking temperature is further increased whilst the advanced fuzzy logic makes small adjustments to obtain a range of between 50-80°C so the rice can optimally start absorbing the water depending on the setting chosen.
3. Heating – The temperature is increased again to between 75-85°C to start the actual cooking process. This varies depending on the setting chosen.
4. Boiling – Sakura then rapidly increases the temperature to 100˚C boiling point to evaporate the majority of the water from the inner bowl and to further cook the rice part way.
5. Steam – The steaming part of the cooking cycle enables the rice to continue cooking while reabsorbing the sugars in the remaining water back into the rice whilst simultaneously evaporating the remaining water. This part of the cycle makes the rice taste sweeter, more nutritious, have better aroma/texture and completes the final rice grain cooking.
6. Cool Down – Water balancing then occurs using low temperature range cycling to ensure there is no remaining water left and that the rice has the correct moisture content.
7. Keep Warm and Steam – The temperature is then held at an optimal 70-74°C to continue to steam the rice and keep the rice safe of bacteria etc . This ensures the rice is perfectly cooked, fluffy and delicious and ready for when you need it.

What a neat thing
Cleaning has been easy as a lot of it can be removed in parts, comes with a manual with some cooking recipes and advice to help how to make rice just right.

I’ve only used this to make rice and congee.. and I have to say it’s the best thing ever..!
I was soooo reluctant to give up my previous rice cooker as it was given to me by my Mum – but it had had it’s day many moons ago..
Little did I realise, my former rice cooker was nothing in comparison..!
This one, honestly, doesn’t matter what rice you cook (for us Orientals – there is a massive emphasis on always having to buy the best rice in town..! ‘NEW CROP’..!) but using this, no matter the rice, it comes out amazing each and every time..! I can’t big it up enough..!
Also, I love congee, and gone are the days of standing over a big pot stirring endlessly as it spits out at me burning me with Hell degrees..! this cooker, you bung in the rice, add whatever you like in it, and leave it to go have a nap.. 1hr later, you wake up and you have the best ever congee..
I haven’t used this cooker for anything else, and unlikely to.. for me, it’s all about the rice and congee and you just cannot go wrong with this little beauty..!
Also, the controls are touch screen which makes keeping it clean much easier, and looks really snazzy..!
This rice cooker is brilliant! I bought it for my daughter (16 yo) because she loves rice and every time she cooks rice she burns the bottom of the pan. We also have a cheap rice cooker but even there there is always a layer of rice stuck to the bottom. I did quite a research especially for that, because other rice cookers have the same problem with bottom layer sticking and desided to invest in this one and I am very happy I did! Nothing sticks, every grain of rice is cooked evenly to perfection and the pot is not the usual cheap aluminum pot with nonstick layer that can easily be scratched. The nonstick layer looks very sturdy. My old rice cooker was always overflowing and foaming so I had to leave the lid slightly opened. Nothing like that happens with this one. The lid stays clean. The mashine is very easy to use even for a child. My daughter uses it daily for rice and today she has even made cake twice in it that turned pretty well. We are still to try the slow cook and to make soup or porrige in it, but im sure it will do well. She said she is gonna take it with her when she goes to Uni. Fingers crosses it lasts for her. I’m glad I went for it even though it was expencive comparing to other rice cookers. It’s worth every penny. If you eat rice often do yourself a favour and just buy the best rice cooker.
A really decent kitchen appliance, well made. they can be quickly cleaned, quite easy to use. If someone likes to cook various kinds of dishes with rice, I would recommend this product.

I purchased this as a present for my dad’s birthday and also to replace the super expensive 500 rice cooker he bought which broke!! This works just as good in my opinion and no fuss. Very easy to set up and use. Very good value for money and not bulky. As an Asian household we use this every couple of days. It feeds a family of 5 and has enough for left overs. Couldn’t be any happier with the purchase.
Brilliant piece of ki
I can cook rice perfectly well. However this can do it to perfection whilst I do much less boring things. Plus it keeps it hot until ready which is a total bonus. Bao buns are always perfect. It’s easy to use and reliable This is absolutely the best but of kit I’ve bought for my kitchen and worth every penny.
Perfect for Weebs (and normal people)
So I obviously bought a rice cooker cause I’m all about dat anime life cause regular rice in a pot is for normies. Perfect for making jam filled doughnuts (as you can see in the picture).
In all seriousness it’s a very good appliance that doesn’t just do really nice rice but can also do stews (which we tried out and it was delicious), cakes and stuff like that. It’s super easy to use and the instruction manual is so elaborate that you might think Asians regard us as mentally challenged.
That said, if you literally want this thing for nothing but the rice cooking function then you might aswell just get a 30 one from Aldi.

This was bought as a Christmas present for my daughter but I was lucky enough to sample rice cooked in this twice- fantastic. Since then she has used it regularly using different rice & cooking a curry in it. She is over the moon with it- loves it.

This has been a total game changer for our family, it makes cooking rice dishes faster, tastier and all round better! The booklet included makes using the device really easy. This honestly makes rice as good as genuine Asian cuisine/takeaways.

My best purchase for a very long time. I was getting fed up of clumpy sticky rice from a saucepan, whatever I tried I could never get it right, just a clumped up mess. This is fantastic. For a start the instruction manual is very good, friendly and doesn’t bombard you with technobabble. To make perfect rice, it’s a simple case of measuring out how many cups you want, wash it under the tap in a sieve until the water runs clear. Then add the same amount of water, so 3 cups of rice to 3 cups of water, close the lid and select your rice type and press start…. That’s it! The Sakura does the rest for you. I had perfect rice for 3 people in just half an hour. It’s crazy how simple it is. This has won many awards in the UK and the company Yum Asia are so friendly and helpful. Oh and the cleaning!! You know how hard it is to scrub a saucepan clean after making rice. This has NINJA technology whatever it is it’s made by Aliens, just a wipe over with water and a sponge in literally 10 seconds and it was clean. You might have noticed I like it hahahaha. Go get one now I tell you (pokes you in the ribs) 🙂

I’m crap at doing rice. This thing makes it almost effortless to get good rice, and makes for lovely meals. It’s very easy to clean, with just a soft sponge and some washing up liquid.
Comes with its own soup ladle and rice spoon.
While the description says that it’s good for 1-8 cups of rice, the markings on the inside of the bowl only has them for 2-8.
I’m sure I can work out how much water I need for 1 cup and manually measure that out, but without this marking, it realy should be advertised as 2-8 cups.

This rice cooker is amazing. Have used it a few times now and each time I get perfect rice. Gone are the days of soggy over cooked rice and hello perfect grains every time. So easy to use, just set your programme and press start and it keeps your rice warm till you are ready to eat. I absolutely love this addition to my kitchen gadgets. Being half asian, I have been raised with rice. Rice everytime, no bread home. I ate so much rice that I stopped eating and cooking some when I left my parents’ home until I started a family. I had not real interest in it, well cooked rice in a basic and cheap rice cooker was fine for me and others too. Rice was good.
I always used a rice cooker, but my old one died a year ago. I tried many time to do my rice in a normal pan with electric hobs, and I failed a lot, unfortunately. It was not really good, so I decided it was time to do the right thing and after a long research and many reviews, I decided to buy the Sakura, even if I was hesitating regarding the price.
!!! OMG !!!! I think this is the best purchase I have done in years.
We cooked rice, cakes and quinoa so far, always perfect. This is joy in the kitchen! … of course good rice quality makes it better too. But now the rice is not just fine, it’s incredibly delicious! Each grain is perfectly cooked, it’s like rice cloud. Even when I was young I wouldn’t have described rice like that.
We are 5 home, we can cooked till 8 cups, which is huge and great if you have guest. Even with 6 cups I always have left over rice for a next meal in the week. Taste and texture stay amazing and I appreciate rice again now. The thing is that my husband and my kids want rice all the time since Sakura is here.
If you buy it on Amazon you can have EU and UK plugs in the box, which is awesome if you need to change country like us, but if you buy on YumAsia website, you have to choose one plug only. It’s big like a motorcycle helmet, design is nice and discreet. Several languages are available in the booklet (tips and recipes included).
I hope this machine will last long, because we like it a lot!

Just prep everything and leave it be. Have only tried the rice cooking on it, not steaming, but flavored rice comes through perfectly and cannot recommend this enough!

Absolutely brilliant rice cooker. Easy to use, multi function and very easy to clean. The rice comes out perfect every time, lovely and fluffy and tastier than boiling in a pan. I love the steaming basket for cooking veg, adding to the versatility of this appliance. It’s a very smart looking addition to the kitchen without being bulky. Yes, you can buy cheaper rice cookers but this is top of the range and worth every penny. Can’t recommend this highly enough.
Great rice cooke
I had been using a simple, old rice cooker for many years and was satisfied with the results. Due to wear and tear on the bowl, I decided to look for a replacement and saw several reviews for Yum Asia products so thought I buy the Sakura machine.
The quality of the machine is really good. If you have used simpler machines in the past you will notice that the inner bowl is of much higher quality, with a ceramic coating and a lot heavier. The versatility is also impressive – so far I have made rice (obviously), slow-cooked a stew, made yoghurt and baked a cake!
The main thing for me however i the quality of the rice. With Basmati rice, it is fluffy and dry without of the hard crusty bits you often get on the bottom using a simple machine. And it tastes great.

The rice cooker is amazing. Its easy to clean, has a great look to it, easy controls, and it cooks PERFECT rice.
It doesnt just cooke rice either! It has settings for porridge and even yoghurt! You can cook soups in it, rice pudding and even cake!!
The instruction manual even has recipes in there for you to start off with, and even tells you how to make that really tasty sticky/gluttonous rice. It also has a section for troubleshooting, so if something went wrong with your sakura then you can refer to that for help!
I cooked a lot of rice before on the hob or in a tiny cheap rice cooker, but this has just upped my game ten fold. It even has a steam tray for steaming vegetables or eggs while you cook your rice/soup/stew/casserole etc.

Pretty much concur with most of the other 4 and 5-star reviews on here.
It doesn’t have an off switch (you have to turn it off at the mains), the lid does fly up quickly (so use one hand to ‘catch’ it), it is made of plastic (with the exception of the cooking bowl), it doesn’t have a marking for 1 cup of rice (but the instructions clearly tell you what to do in such an instance)…
With all that said, I’ll still go for 5-stars because the most important thing for a rice cooker to do is to cook all different types rice perfectly and evenly, and that it does with flying colours. Oh and it also does a good congee, and you can use it to steam some marinated chicken or chinese sausage over a bed of rice …. mmm delicious. Not tried the other options yet.
Disregard any review that claims that rice isn’t cooked well – these customers must either must have a faulty unit or cannot follow instructions (they honestly are not that difficult to follow).
Should have bought one soone
This thing is a life saver for me I eat a lot of foods that go well with rice and I love making egg fried rice. I have a family of 7 and this can have 8 cups of rice in cooking at one time but I only need 4 in and there is always some left over. It has cooked my rice perfect every time apart from once but that was my fault for not rinsing my rice thoroughly before putting it in the cooker.
Cleaning is a breeze I just use warm soapy water and gently clean the copper bowl and utensils and dry them off and pop them back. I have read about the bowl sticking etc but I think this is due to users not washing the bowl correctly as per instructions or scrubbing it hard and wearing down the coating in the bowl.
I’m glad I bought it and it was expensive but when you have perfect rice all the time it’s really worth it.

Great device to return to after work which allows you to unwind and have a good drink.
When I first bought this after careful monetary consideration as the device is not cheap I was concerned that I could have continued to boil my rice in water in a pot as I have done for many years. However before I eat my food I like to have a good drink after a hard days work and not have to wait for my food when I am ready to eat. This allows me to keep my rice warm, perfectly cooked and nice and separated. Overall this is money well spent and the amount of cleaning after eating my meal is minimal.

Really simple to use, makes great rice (and also great at steaming vegetables!) and easy to clean. The rice is noticeably tastier and better textured than what we would previously have produced in a pan.
Best rice cooker available
You cannot burn/underdo/overdo your rice with this. Always turns out perfect – we use ours most nights. Its more pricey – but it doesn’t spew ricey mess all over itself like cheaper units – even if you for get to turn it off, it keeps rice warm without drying out for hours. Get it.

I’ve used a standard electric rice cooker for over 15 years, The Sakura made the best home-cooked rice ever for me. Remember which way the filter comes out when you clean it or you could be stuck a long time trying to fit it back in.

I honestly don’t know how I did before… I use it almost everyday now. Rice, soups, curries. Haven’t tried the porridge or cake options just yet but I’m already really happy with it. Would definitely recommend!
Perfect rice
This makes perfect rice possible every time. I have used other brands of rice cooker but they never worked. This one works and is worth the cost.
I have also cooked soup, porridge and cake and it was helpful to have a time delay, so I got up to a hot breakfast.
Easy to use, with very accurate cooking guides
This is a compact and very versatile cooker, which is a joy to use. The lid opens a little too violently and the condensation tray handle impedes the path of the carrying handle. However, these are very minor issues and do not affect the operation of the cooker.

Now I got this over the Panda version as we are a family of 4, so I was concerned over the number of cups. What I had not realised is that a standard helping of around 70g of rice is actually about 1/2 to a 1/3 of a cup, so this is considerably larger capacity than I need.
Other than that, fantastic little beastie, I love the image / look of it which was probably the selling point for me over the Kado carb version (which now was probably the ideal size)
More to add once made some more rice, but first impressions good, just a little shocked over quantity sizes.
Brilliant cooke
I’m going to be completely honest, I wanted a Zojirushi – however I didn’t really want to empty my wallet for one.
After some reading up (and Yum Asia’s claims that they’re the first to bring to Zojirushis to the UK and they’ve designed their machines around them). I decided to try the Sakura and I have zero regrets. It makes stunning rice and keeps it warm (and still good) for a long time. It also steams veg beautifully, the build quality is good and the inner cooker is fantastically non-stick.
Although it functions seemingly perfectly, there are some things about the machine that is somewhat irritating – the rice paddle holder is clearly a last minute thought, it clips on to the handle and moves around, just build it into the chassis. The water catcher at the back (that catches water that falls from the lid when opened) is really small, there is plenty of room back there, I don’t know why it’s not utilised. Capacitive buttons should be banned from existence, a good physical button is superior. The cable is messy, retractable cables on kitchen appliances should be a standard.
Don’t let these gripes deter you though, it’s a great cooker.
it cooks perfect rice.
The cooker arrived on time and was very well packaged, it is very well designed and the controls are intuitive and easy to use ,it also sits neatly in the kitchen looking very much like a retro radio.
I followed the first use cleaning instructions but was nervous about the recommended half cup of rice and water so used 2 cups of out of date brown rice to clean it and threw it away, It cooked this rice to perfection which gave me the confidence to jump straight in with my adventures in Japanese cooking.

OK, it makes really great rice. Really really great rice. But so much more. I am making cakes and yoghurt almost daily. Even using the yoghurt to make frozen yoghurt (and I have perfected my own recipe). All so simple and everyone who has tasted the cakes and yoghurt states the best they have had. I have orders for them coming out of my eyeballs. Plus on a hot day you can bake a cake with no oven blasting out the heat (the Sakura hardly emits any heat) and cheaper on elctricity. Look online for some cake recipes, but you can also use packets mixes if needed. They all turn out great. Oh side effect, I have put on a stone in weight since I started using it as I just cannot say no.
Makes rice the main dish!
Purchased it after our old rice cooker sadly “gave up” on us, and it was one the best purchases this year so far.. comes with clear and easy instructions how to cook certain types of rice for the best result and sure it does..also I used it to make a Japanese fluffy cheesecake that turned out to be perfect!

After our second generic ‘pot’ rice cooker gave up the ghost we decided to upgrade to something a bit more feature rich and premium.
This an absolutely fantastic cooker in terms of functiknalty, quality of cooker rice and simplicity of use.

There’s only one night that stops me giving 5 stars.
In the manual it states that it can cook from 1-8 cups of rice. The measuring cup is a perfect amount for one portion of rice.
The instructions are to add washed rice and then fill water to level indicated one the side of the inner bowl that matches your type of rice and how many cups you are cooking.
Brilliant.
Only thing is, all of the markings in the bowl start at ‘2 cups’.
There are no markings for 1 cup.
So when making a meal for 1 you have to use a little guess work.
Not a massive deal, but an annoying and weird design choice for a ‘1-8’ cup cooker.
Otherwise perfect machine.
Upgrade
We upgraded to this from the cheap one I bought years ago. Vast improvement. No steam everywhere and the rice is lush.

Really enjoying not having to juggle several pans on a hob, I can just let this guy do its thing and I’ll have rice in like 40mins. No more being burned and scalded or hectic kitchens.
My 8-in-1 Tefal packed up after three and a half years at the weekend so I took the plunge and bought this. I’m not disappointed – it’s really excellent. The rice is fantastic, the bowl is high quality and simple to clean and I like the display and buttons – the 10 minutes countdown was a key selling point for me over the smaller Panda version.

Very happy only issue is the lid needs a soft open as it flies up and hits anything behind it. So fast I’m sure if you regularly don’t help it to open gently it will break. For this money a a soft open lid would make this product pretty much perfect. Looks cool!
I have only used it to make rice so far, but that’s also the thing I will use it for 90% of the time. I love it! It is just like I hoped it was going to be. The rice doesn’t stick or burn to the bottom, it’s fluffy and not mushy at all. I also left it for an hour in the keep warm mode and the rice stayed the same! I also like that there are recipes in the manual for the different cooking modes.

GREAT PIECE OF KIT
I can now make great sticky rice, it comes out the same every time…! I haven’t used it for everything it can do but so far very happy. Great build quality, instructions are ok but its all pretty simple to use.

I can’t say I am an expert on rice or cooking rice but I have 2 to 3 rice dishes a week. I have been thinking of getting a rice cooker for a while but never knew what to get and how much I should pay.
While browsing I came across the Sakura rice cooker from Yum Asia it had some positive reviews so I ordered it, I have had it for a few days now and I can say that I am impressed.
The unit is easy to clean with the detachable lid inner and steam vent and rice doesn’t stick to the ceramic bowl.
To cook the rice its as easy as measuring out the portions with the supplied cup, washing the rice and then filling the bowl to the required mark and then selecting which program to cook with, the results have been amazing. Today I tried out the delayed start time so this morning I prepared the rice selected the cooking program and then selected the time I wanted the rice to be ready, I went to work and when I came home the device was on keep warm and had been for 6 minuets, once I had prepared the rest of my meal and dished up the rice it was about 20 minuets later I was amazed the rice was as light and fluffy as if it had just been cooked. I would recommend this cooker to anyone who has a few rice dished a week.
Used it a handful of times in just a few days, can’t fault it. Perfect rice every time. Easy to clean, too. The pre-set and keep warm for 24hours features are extremely useful. 6hours kept on warm and the rice was still superb!

It’s a bit of a hefty price tag but the saying that ‘you get what you pay for’ rings true. Got it to try doing sushi rice, and after a couple of tries nailed it. For anyone doing the same I’d reccomend a 1 to 1 cup ratio of rice to water, instead of the 1 to 1.5 cup ratio. Makes good rice, and the steamer tray means you can make whole rice meals in one go.
I used to have a Zojirushi one, which was very good, and then bought several cheap ones. You get what you pay for, and this one is well made and has all the features I want. It is not cheap, but it is good value.
I’ve used this 3 times this week. Once on quick rice cook, once on regular rice cook and once on regular rice cook and also using the steaming basket over the rice to cook some pork. Happy with the cooking. The cooker is easy to clean, but make sure you have the water reservoir attached right in otherwise you get a little puddle of water on the work top. The holder for the handle is a bit pointless as it clips on to the handle (which then gets knocked off if you need to lift the cooker to the table). A magnetic holder would be better to sit on the side of the cooker.
It’s easy to clean and I like it you can remove a the inner lid and also the steam filter at the top for wiping/cleaning.
It’s a nice looking cooker and fits snugly in my kitchen cupboard without taking up too much room.
The cooker is quiet and beeps when the rice is done. Nice machine! Don’t go for the cheaper rice cookers, you pay for what you get and this is by far one of the best cookers I’ve owned over the years

I don’t often leave reviews but this is the best product I bought in ages. Super easy to use, great design and touchscreen is perfect. I had never used such a product before but it’s so useful and makes things so much easier, I highly recommend, worth every penny!
A superb product. The cooked rice is delicious (far better than a friend’s [expensive] Zojirushi), it’s convenient (set it up to prepare rice for roughly the time you are planning to serve dinner and it’ll cook the rice beautifully and satisfactorily keep it warm for hours [in many ways the rice is better if allowed to rest for a period]). Also looks great! One minor criticism: only a weird “rotating dial” indicator of the preparation time remaining. Far better would be a digital countdown timer. And in regards to volumes, we find that one cup will easily serve two people, so maybe the smaller machine would be better for regular family use? However, highly recommended overall.

I bought this rice cooker immediately after a visit to Japan to continue having well cooked rice. So far, this machine has worked wonders. The rice is always perfectly cooked, be it sticky rice or brown. I have yet to try the other functions that are available on Sakura, but I’m very happy with the purchase. The rice spatula fluffs up and gets the rice out really well and more importantly doesn’t scratch or tarnish the cooking pot inside the cooker. It is easy to clean with the removable pot and looks stylish in my kitchen.

Over the years rice cooking failures have been the norm often resulting in disappointment. Keeping your fingers crossed is not the best way to cook rice and we’ve both tried really hard!! “It’s double the water to rice” ……. “I ******* did that” being a common exchange followed by “I’m never cooking rice again”. Well those words haven’t been said since the rice cooker arrived…. Pure rice bliss everytime now. So if you’re in a similar position with your loved one do yourself a favour and get this rice cooker now. It might seem to be quite expensive but compared to a divorce it’s a sound investment.
Superb rice cooke
Machine looks good on the worktop and the handle is great for moving it around. Excellent, clear instructions for rice, steaming veg and cake baking. I’ve only so far tried the rice, which after 2 attempts turned out perfectly. The first couple of times were my fault as I didn’t read the instructions properly. Very confident that any rice I cook in this machine will be perfect. The cooker is well built and a nice touch was a supplied euro plug if needed. Very highly recommended.

Been looking for a rice cooker for a long time. Came across this and best kitchen gadget I have now. Rice comes out perfect eveytime. Very easy to use and very easy to clean. Love the fact u can carry it from the kitchen to the table if u want and that u can lift the inner pot out while it’s still hot without burning my fingers on the handles.

This piece of equipment in a small amount of time has become more used than my stove. I love this machine and it can do so much. Rice is only the tip of the iceberg for this. From banana cakes to fresh yoghurt it does lots of things and also the information and recipes from the yum Asia website is fantastic. So overall a great bit of kit, essential for anyone who enjoys making Asian cuisine.
I never knew I was cooking rice wrong all this time! My Sakura arrived very quickly and I am impressed so far with everything it does. The rice, whether long or short grain is perfect every single time- I’ve tried all of the rice cooking settings and each one produced brilliant, fluffy rice, even the quick cook produces better rice than a saucepan or microwave. Texture is great and the taste is out of this world. It comes with a very detailed and useful manual with recipes included and guidance for cooking other grains and pulses which is great. Included with the rice cooker is a steaming basket and it has a steaming function as well- very easy to steam veg at the same time as cooking rice for whole meals. The Sakura looks really stylish in my kitchen and is very easy to use, intuitive and very easy to clean. The ceramic inner bowl is an excellent addition as when I was looking for rice cookers, all of them seem to have teflon bowls which I’m really not keen on. This was a brilliant purchase, well worth the money if you want restaurant quality rice by just pressing a button without any messing around.
