After spending a while looking for a new chef knife i thought id give this a go even though i hadnt heard of the make. This is by far the best knife i have ever used or owned. Absolutely razor sharp with a great point and rock for detailed work. Comfortable fat grip with a hook on the end making it really comfortable for long slicing jobs. Sharpens up again nicely on a stone and looks great too. My knives take a hammering every day so if this stands the durability test i will be buying more Zelite knives in the future.

I promised to treat myself to a quality knife,I chose the Zelite 9 inch chef – Alpha Royal. When I received the knife the package alone showed you had bought quality, on opening the box it was pleasure to hold a perfect well balanced knife and beautiful to look at product. Well done Zelite.
How good these knives are
As stated in a previous review the fact that I own six of these knives is testament to how good they are I have owned many different brands of knives over the years, now all gone I now have one set which will far outlive me, so just buy them try them you will love them
Bought this and the Japanese style 9″ chefs knife. Both items were dispatched promptly and arrived as specified. Packaged in a beautiful display/storage case. Both knives are perfectly sharp, that is, sharp enough to make working with meat and vegetables a sinch but not overly sharp so the cutting edge is less durable. This 6″ knife in particular feels very nice to use as it is quite weighty but very well balanced with a deep blade making it ideal for most tasks
The knife arrived beautifully packaged and clearly beautifully made but the icing on the cake was on discovering the tiniest of problems with the knife I had my complaint dealt with instantly by Sam of Zelite customer service who resolved the issue perfectly. I have been a chef for 35 years and am switching to Zelite for this reason.
Well worth the money and the best I have owned.
Arrived on time. The knife boasts superb craftsmanship and was delivered in a high quality box which in turn was well packaged. The balance and heft of the knife is perfect for my (admittedly small) hands. The blade is exceptionally keen out of the box and shouldn’t need sharpening for a good while, although I would recommend a good culinary whetstone to help keep it’s edge. The handle is comfortable and well finished; a pleasure to work with. The included leather sheath is a very nice addition that emulates the quality of the overall package. If you are serious about cooking then it’s worth investing in a product that feels good, works well and gives great satisfaction of money well spent.

Well my search is over! Finally found a knife that I can say I’m 100% happy with. Weight and balance is spot on for my personal prefences and after going through what the other “big” brands had to offer over the years I think this crowd have nailed it, I look forward to testing out the rest of the range now. Sharp quality
I have been using this knife for about a month now and it is awesome! It looks beautiful, is very well made, has a satisfying weight to it and is extremely sharp straight out of the box. The blade retains it edge very well and takes sharpening on a stone very well. I am now using this knife for nearly everything! I must also credit Zelite for their amazing customer service. I have not come across such good aftersales service in a long time.

I waited 2 weeks before actually using my new knife – huge mistake! I opened the box yesterday whilst prepping for a large family barbecue – wow. I cook a lot and have always invested in good knives but my new Zelite was perfectly balanced, well weighted and effortlessly cut everything despite being cheaper than my usual brand. I was so impressed I purchased 2 more last night ( upgrading to the Executive Pro this time with leather sheaths – these knives are seriously sharp…) and will be adding to my collection over the next few months. I think that is probably the best endorsement a customer could give 🙂 Excellent, personal service too from this British family business – 5 stars!

Brilliant value and quality build!
I use this knife in a commercial kitchen, it’s a great knife for the money, I think you would struggle to get a knife of this quality and build for less. Extremely sharp on purchase, and hones nicely. It’s still quite new and I’ve only had a couple of weeks out of it but a great knife in my opinion.
This was a present for my boyfriends 40th birthday, needles to say he loved it. He has tried it out and it cuts beautifully. Probably the best thing i have brought in a long time. The presentation and leather case gives it a really special touch. Would highly recommended this product.
The is the Japanese all rounder knife. The quality is outstanding. It feels a very balanced knife in your hand. Be careful as it’s extremely sharp. This is a great addition to my kitchen as it’s a versatile chefs knife.
A nice knife to use
The knives are very sharp, the handles are very comfortable and they feel nice to use. They cut through most things with ease and are far sharper than my old chefs knife, even after sharpening it. I cant speak to their longevity at this stage as ive only had them a couple of days. The layered damascus pattern on the side of the knives is alot more subtle than the photos would suggest, but this is made up by the great customer service ive already experienced from Zelite.
Incredible knife
Had a lot of knives over the years, but this one is outstanding. The build quality is superb and it feels very well balanced. It is literally razor sharp and cuts through food so easily. With it being steel of the highest quality, it should keep sharp for longer.

Bought this for my partners birthday, very impressed with the fast delivery, I ordered it on a Saturday and it came the Sunday afternoon. As for the actual knife, wow. It is amazing we were both so impressed! The blade is nice and sharp so when you’re cutting your meat for dinner or whatever you don’t have to spend ages faffing around this knife just cuts it in one slice!

My husband recently purchased some Alpha Royal Series as we already have the Japanese version of these knives and have used them for about a year (they are still super sharp and a pleasure to use) and my mother got a bit jealous as she was still using her old knives, had been going on about how excellent they were, so I thought I’d buy them as a gift to keep her happy!!. The previous Alpha Royals were superb and I expected that these would be no different….I wasn’t disappointed!!. The range of photographs attached show the variety of foods that were prepared using the set.
Firstly, the Knives arrived in quality packaging. I was particularly impressed, once opened, with the look of the knives in the box….they look super cool, the Ziritsuke has a distinctive end which curves upon and looks fantastic, and were in keeping with the quality look of the other Zelite knives I’ve seen and used.
The knives themselves are super sharp and you need to be extra careful when you first use them and remove them from the pouch. I cut my finger despite expecting them to be this sharp from prior experience with the Japanese versions!
Since they arrived on a Saturday my mother was cooking a Sunday dinner the following day , so it was a great chance to try them out for herself. She was particularly impressed at how very well balanced and easy to use they are and don’t feel overly heavy in the hand. They sliced through whatever food was being prepared with ease and all done their jobs with extreme ease.
These are on a par with Zelites previous range as they continue to produce outstanding quality knives whether for the occasional chef or the more hard-core ones. Either way they are a definite plus for any kitchen and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Now the big question for me.. “Do I keep these and give mother my Japanese ones”!! I don’t think I would notice the difference either way!!

This is the third addition to my growing collection of beautiful Zelite Infinity knives and is just as breathtaking in looks, performance and sharpness as it’s “Sisters”. The Length looks a little daunting when you first take it out of the very safe and secure case it is provided in, but once you have the knife in your hand and begin to use it, you realise how magnificently the design and workmanship has come together to give you not just another kitchen tool, but a extention of your arm as you chop, dice and slice very smoothly and with very little effort as the marvellously weighted handle and blade do the work for you. Bought for a working chef. He’s bowled over. He keeps finding things that desperately NEED cutting up… Beautifully sharp, beautifully constructed (full tang), beautifully embellished. There seems to be an entry-level Zelite range and then a “better” range, but discovered on research there seem to be two levels within this better (Alpha Royale) range. This was the better of the two but the adverts are not clear at distinguishing, so check! But beautiful, brilliant knife!

This was my second ZELITE knife purchase (I now have 5). It is a lovely knife to look at and it doesn’t stop there… The weight is just right for me, as I like a bit of weight to my knives, it has great balance and it is sharp, although it does not seem as sharp as the paring and Utility knives.
I have had this for a year now and it is still sharp, but I think it is starting to lose its edge slightly. I am going to look for a professional knife sharpener to sharpen all of my knives as I do do not want to risk damaging the blade or taking the edge off using a stone or electric sharpener.

The chef knife is perfectly weighted. Solid comfortable handle providing safe grip to this awesomely sharp blade. For all the cooks and chefs out there that have chopped up a butternut squash. We all know how difficult it is to safely dice up this tough vegetable. The Zelite Infinity Chef Knife make the task a simple one, shaving off the skin and easily cutting through the flesh without much effort. I was that happy with the product it led me to purchase the Santoku knife. The knives have now taken pride of place within my cooks tool box and are being used daily.

Having bought several cheaper knife sets over the years and recently had gorgeous kitchen rebuild I had a massive clear out! .I was quickly drawn to the zelite range and read reviews and you tube clips and thought I’d go for a general purpose 8″ chefs knife as I have a quality pairing knife and cleaver already.The zelite really is lovely with perfect balance and beautifully made and the blade wow!durable and very sharp!infact for less experienced cooks you need to be careful!.I’m very happy with it and fully recommend.

The knife is an object of beauty; but more importantly it is very sharp, and has remained very sharp so far despite the daily use, although no doubt I will soon have to hone it.. A minor point is perhaps the manufacturer could have included a protective sheath, albeit with a small additional charge for it. It is the best knife I have ever owned or used.

They lasted well but these look and feel a lot better. Expensive but cheaper than wasting money on poor quality knives.
This knife, like other Zelite knives, are very carefully packaged in a strong quality presentation box. Ideal for a present to someone. Knives have a safety cap at the tip, which is a good idea to keep on when not in use. These are sharp knives, so I’d advise investing in a magnetic knife holder rather than placing in a drawer.

Very sharp, very pretty and easy to handle.
Bought by my other half as a birthday present for me as I am always complaining that his knives are blunt and I don't have the right equipment to give them a new edge. It is very comfortable to hold and use. The dimples mean that slices of food don't stick unless coated in lots of sauce. Very smooth and easy to handle. Very pretty design and lovely case.
Only complaint is that the dimples can be a bit of a pain to get completely clean with some foods, but that's not the end of the world.

Joy to use like all my other Zelite knives. Pretty large and ideal for larger vegetables or cuts of meat. You need a smaller one too and I have both the 4 inch and 6 inch ones. These are also fantastic to use.

It was quite a step for me to spend 100 on a single kitchen knife, and having used it now on a few occasions I’m relieved to say that it was a sound investment. Its cutting ability is unparalleled by any of my other kitchen knives, plus the weight and balance make it fantastic to hold and use. My partner used it the other day for the first time, having previously avoided doing so, fearing that she’d finish up one or two fingers less! She was equally wowed by its cutting ability and ease of handling
Bought it because I thought it was comparable to a Shun knife. It’s a nice knife, but not comparable to Shun.
I have tried numerous knifes and must admit I keep trading up for something better. This was my latest trade up and BOY what a difference from other brands I have tried.
One of the most impressive things about these knives is the boxes they come in. I’m sure I am not alone in feeling awful throwing away the packaging because it is SO well made.
The knives are super sharp (I guess that is normal and expected for a knife at this price), well balanced and have a solid, well built feel about them. They are easy to clean and, as other reviewers have already said, look just beautiful.

Probably the best knife I have ever owned. It is truly a professional chefs knife, easy to use, with care, as it is extremely sharp. Very comfortable in the hand and well weighted. You get what you pay for in this instance!

Hello, bought this item at 16/04. When it recieved to my place the amazon box was kinda damaged but didnt reflect on the item box. They wasn’t joking about being sharp. Cut myself straight away. However, while examine the item alone… They has a few dents and chips while been made. Also the top hasn’t been polished right. You can see how the item was fused and for some reson near the handle? Not saying this would have an issue. Everything they said is perfect. Just hoped they take care of how the products is being polished and finshed off for next person. The handle was perfect. Sturdy and lightweight than global.
**TESTED** One of the best knifes i;ve ever tried. Easy to dice, cut and split. However still slight annouyed with the finshing. Still perfect for cooking. Hope this helps.
