These are an efficient way of stopping cats and foxes and squirrels from digging plants and bulbs out. they won’t stop them pooing on your garden or the strips which can be very difficult to clear away. Win some lose some. There are not enough pegs in the kit by a long way.
It does exactly what it says, no cats have been lurking around my plants and using the area as a toilet. One thing I would of liked would of been more spikes to pin the plastic mats into the ground. But very pleased so far.
Whilst not the easiest to put down if your are old and have pain joints, once down, no more daily cat crap all over the broader 😀 Shame they down make it a roll and can cut to length than loads of squares to put together (i brought zip tags to make job easier)
Doing exactly what it supposed to. Bought it for my big plant pots as always found some cat in it. Since I put those in the problem is gone . Highly recommended
A little time consuming to distribute but effective. My neighbours (several) have cats who like to deposit in my garden fringes. I have positioned several ‘guards’ around these areas and the problem has disappeared. Not discussed with neighbours for obvious reasons. You need several guards per square metre especially in dry weather cats do not like wet soil to deposit in.
I watched a cat drop into the garden wouldn’t go over spikes so went back over the fence
Definitely worked but I need to buy more, the cats not going where the mats were placed but have found space where there are no mats.
Item arrived within a reasonable time scale, and had concerns as the outer packaging was a bit torn. However the item was secure in two boxes and tightly packed, no signs of damage. Delighted with the size and looks of good quality, sturdy material. I look forward to using them in the spring time, for that’s when the plants will get re-potted. These are perfect for protecting my pots from getting tipped over by the cat! I’ve used similar larger and longer pieces for the fence area and they definitely deter the cat from going through or over the fence. So have no doubts these will do just a good a job of deterring the neighbour’s cat.
had a cat problem digging and dumping in my planter this has stopped it in one go
