Motion detection is good but having to source suitable cable when similar lights come with it is not good.

This light is fantastic as a security light or driveway light. It is very bright and quite sensitive to movement. Fitting is easy and wiring is simple. Our previous security light was purchased from screwfix for a similar price and is nowhere near as good as this one.

This light has been installed for a few months now. It needed professional installation and one additional electrical bit (possibly a connection box?), sorry I’m not an expert and don’t understand the details, but it wasn’t a problem and the electrician had no issues installing it.

It has good sensitivity and reacts to people (and occasionally cats too!) quickly but doesn’t stay on too long. It seems to be well balanced.

It’s exposed into all weathers and at least at this stage (several months in) it appears to be robust and reliable.

    I would recommend this light.

A good bright light that lights up my garden. Motion detection is fine as is the range covered.

Mounting was a bit tricky, but the instructions were fine. You may also need cable if you are fitting this yourself. Don’t mount somewhere with potential for heavy rainfall.

used in back garden 30 watt output .but smaller in size than a lot of others very good.

Not being terribly handy and even less so when on a step ladder, we bypassed some of the installation issues with this light by having an electrician do it, replacing the previous light he’d installed which had lasted less than a year.

Initial signs for this are promising, it gives enough light near the house to see intruders (even if the are more of the feline or hedgehog kind than human) without being so bright it disturbs the neighbours.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI used this to replace a 10w light, and it is like night and day in difference.

Set duration mid-way and sensitivity to for a night light.

Due to the connector, you can fit it and wire it up as separate operations. No screws were supplied, you will need two, plus wall plugs. You will also need outside 3 core flex and a connection box.

A good bright light that lights up my back garden. Motion detection is good but I need to alter the length of time it is on. Too short at present but easy to do. Very happy with it.

I did wonder whether I should have gone for a pre-wired one when I had trouble finding a suitable lead for this. The lead I had in mind came from an old electric lawnmower, but turned out to be only two-core, despite its round outer insulation. You need quite a fat round three-core flex for this to be able to seal out moisture. I wanted to mount it under the eaves of the garage, and run the wire inside to plug into a socket, thus avoiding the need to hard-wire it, which would require an electrician legally. I found a nice fat kettle/PC cable, of which I have lots, cut the plug off, and wired the cut end to the light’s waterproof connector. This is straightforward, if you remember to thread the fittings in the right order, since the mains plug is moulded and can’t be removed. The screws on the light’s connector are very small, and need tightening carefully with a well-fitting screwdriver. I threaded the assembled round plug end through the corrugated roofing sheet and the plug just reached a mains socket.
The light’s flat strip metal bracket can be removed for fixing, in this case a single screw in the centre hole fixed to the wooden fascia under the gutter. All very easy and quick. Re-mount the light unit to the bracket, adjust angle, plug in the connector, leaving a loop of wire hanging down to prevent water running into the fitting, and switch on. Brilliant light, almost painful to look at. The sensor below the light unit can be rotated and swivelled to suit the desired detection range, and also for easier access to the two controls. One adjusts the operating period from on all the time, steplessly through to night-time operation only. The other varies the on-time between about three seconds all the way up to about nine minutes. The sensor is very responsive, and has a good range. The unit is well-made and should last. Overall, a big improvement on the bulkier power-hungry halogen unit it replaces. Recommended.

A very bright and responsive outside ligh

After a few choice words when installing it as I found the screw on connector a little fiddly it works very well. The connector is close to the unit and so if it’s already up on the wall then it’s getting your hands in, connecting first is easier.

The light for 30w is ok, the spread is noticeably brighter in the centre but it does spread pretty wide. The motion sensor is very good and picks up movement from down the end of our drive.

Seems like it will last, this one isn’t bright enough to work under or anything but good for the front garden so the neighbours aren’t blinded.

Decent light and a fair price

We are still waiting for an electrician friend to be available to fit this for us and we will update the review based on actual use once properly installed.

In the meantime our rating is based on trusting the specs and description:-

    Wire length = 1.5 Metres

    Beam Angle = 120

IP65 which means: 6 = Totally dust tight providing full protection against dust and other particulates, which should include a vacuum seal, tested against continuous airflow. 5 = Protection against low-pressure jets (6.3 mm) of directed water from any angle (limited ingress permitted with no harmful effects).

Decent sensor light for small area of our back garden – noting that we’ve opted for a more powerful intruder deterrent motion sensor covering the driveway.

Nice size – not too big like some others: PIR has good range as stated in specification. Connection to mains power cable slightly fiddly for large hands, but is effective and solid. Overall, an effective and well priced item.

I used this 30W LED light to replace an old halogen PIR light at the corner of our building. The cable was already in place so it was simple to remove the old light and replace it with this one. What a difference!! My driveway and garden are fully illuminated by a bright white light. The motion sensor works a treat and has a wide field of sensitivity – no dancing around required to activate it. The timer function is easy to set and adjust. Much more economical than the halogen which also tended to leak a bit and blew the bulbs – this is watertight. Perfect!

I have been sent several of these LED outdoor lamps, and I’m impressed, for their respective wattage, that they are so bright. The light they emit is definitely in the cool range, so not what you might choose for atmospheric lighting, but ideal for security or practical purposes. Motion detection is very good, and the detector can be angled independently.

The lamp seems well made and solid. It’s easy to fix, although the task is a lot easier if the bracket is removed from the lamps before fixing to the wall.

I have one reservation regarding the lamps from this manufacturer, and that is the quality of the insulation on the wires. The outer sheath seems robust, but the insulation on the individual wires is not so impressive, the colours are often muted and not very distinct, in poor light they can be hard to distinguish. The insulation also bruises readily, especially when stripping it back with a wire stripper.

Adjustment of the detection unit is easy as long as you know which way to turn the dials. In practice, it is not so easy, for once installed it is difficult to see the back of the unit and the arrows indicating which way to adjust. Unfortunately, while the instruction show the individual functions of the dials, they do not give any indication of which way to adjust them.

I have this on the left hand side of the house attached to the wall, replacing an old 50w halogen light.
The brightness is nearly as good as the old lamp, while saving a bit of electricity.
It has two controls, one for time and the other for day or night settings.
I have mine coming on only at night and by adjusting the sensitivity and angle I can limit what sets it off.
I have the 50w version as well, which is very good and my family member has the 20w lighting up her small back garden.

I’ve put this motion sensor light up above our garage door. Boy is it bright. Lights up the whole drive area when it turns itself on. Picks up motion from anywhere within about 15 feet (further or less of course if you angle it differently). It didn’t come with a power cable but it was easy enough to fit a two core lead to it and run it through to the power socket in the garage itself. So far the light has been out in a variety of weathers (lots of rain, lots of hot sun) and works just as it when first fitted. Great for putting off anyone from approaching the garage in the dark or just illuminating our drive are when we come home at night.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe built quality is good. Nice design. The motion sensor can be rotated to target detection in the required area. The light is also quite bright.

It was easy to install and a DIY job for me, though I did not like the connector much. It would have been better if it came with wires connected internally instead of providing a connector.

The motion detection was working great, hardly 1 to 2 seconds latency to switch ON light upon movement detection.
I have attached a video to give a better impression of the security light.

It arrived well packaged as shown in the attached photos. In my opinion, the price is very reasonable.

Overall, I am happy with it and it is a good light for home entrance or using it in the garden.

This security light comes in a nicely branded box inside which the light is lightly wrapped in plastic. You also get a decent English only instruction manual. Like most this has a good fixing bracket which provides a lot of versatility for positioning. As it comes without cable, to install the light you will need to connect some 3 core flex to it, so you need to know how to fix it to your mains or outside box, or get an electrician to do the job. You also need to follow the instructions precisely to do the job properly especially to protect against water ingress. As it’s IP65 rated, you’re best placing it somewhere where it’s unlikely to ever get a lot of water cascading onto it (e.g. under a leaking gutter).

Once installed you have some options on what amount of time you want the light on for and whether you want it to come on only at night or anytime 24/7. It may take a bit of tweaking to get the timing right but it’s a simple dial mechanism so easy enough to change it if it’s easily accessible.

It has a brilliant cool white light which certainly lights up any area within 120 degrees of where it’s sited so good enough for basic home gardens and yards. Certainly better light coverage than with similar solar options.

This was a replacement for an old existing halogen flood light that had perished over the years. Simply switch the wiring and replace the unit and this gives off a huge amount of light. Would recommend.

Feels well made and lits up the earth quite well. This particular model comes without a cable and it is a little tricky to install as it a 3 pin connector. The sensor seems to work well also. Overal is a good quality product.

    Lit the area quite well.

This is a great motion sensor light that anybody could find useful if they don’t already have one.

The light comes with instructions and is ready to be used out of box. The installation is pretty standard, it’s the exact same concept that you have probably used before when installing a outdoor light. Obviously being mainly a outdoor light it is certified waterproof.

This would be great to use indoors as well for a basement, attic or garage type of room that you would want automatic light for instead of flipping a switch. The light duration is easily adjustable to last from 6 seconds minimum to 6 minutes maximum. The sensor is excellent because it’s 100% fully adjustable to ensure that you get the exact area you want to trigger the light to come on. The brightness is great being a 30W LED and would probably be comparable to a streetlight for a good example.

Perfect security lights provides super bright light when activated by the PIR sensor that is cradled under the light mounting unit. Very good energy efficiency with it being a LED light

Very easy to install with mounts, screws, and plugs included in the box

The light is waterproof and can be used inside and outside with this feature is needs be, it has a good design and porivdes a very clear concise light where installed

This is a 30W LED outdoor sensor floodlight. The LED is a cool white colour at 6,500K. To keep the waterproof connector working, just remember to cut the wire as instructed. It is IP65 rated and motion sensor is 1-8meters with sensor angle at 120degrees.

    Things I liked:
    * very bright (3,000 lm)
    * option to have sensor working at night mode only
    * adjustable light duration of approx 10seconds to as long as 9mins

Overall, it took a while just to get the angle of the sensor at the optimal position. I was up and down the ladder for a good 5minutes alone. Once setup properly, it’s quite rewarding to see in action. A good piece of mind for back garden security.

    LED floodlight is only 30W

Excellent light. Well made and comes with waterproof connector to fit your own lead. At last no more useless short lead I need to connect to.
    Keeps cool. Strong bracket.

Very powerful. I’ve been using solar powered lights for a while and although they’re good I really wanted something a bit stronger. I also wanted something that functioned well regardless of the weather so mains power was the answer. The lamp is easy to fit and functions well. The last one I bought must have been ten years ago and they’ve improved since then. The lamp has a very versatile bracket allowing you to move it (within reason) and the sensor is also flexible. I like that the PIR sensor has two settings and the time the light stays on is also flexible.

The unit is advertised as IP65 Waterproof, which means it’s water resistant, not waterproof. It gives protection against low pressure water jets from any direction, as well as condensation and water spray. It’s suitable for most outdoor enclosures that won’t encounter extreme weather such as flooding.

Overall I’m impressed with this light and its output.
