Loving this bit of kit however not sure on if you have one than one radiator in the room does this mean you have to put a thermostat on each radiator? And how would you use it appropriately? Would this be a waste of money?

Acquistato con sconto, un apparecchio molto semplice da installare e configurare seguendo alla lettera la guida digitale (ben fatta), nella sua versione kit base attualmente pi che sufficiente per le mie esigenze, molto interessanti ed utili le funzioni ‘finestra aperta’ e ‘away’. E’ un sistema che ha una notevole capacit di espansione.

bzw. die besten smarten Thermostate die ich fr Homekit kenne. Die Anwesenheitssteuerung funktioniert meines Erachtens im Vergleich zu anderen Thermostaten hier am Besten. Pferdefu ist sicherlich, dass dies ber einen externen Server luft, den man theoretisch hacken knnte und so An und Abwesenheitsdaten sehen knnteaber gut.
Gre Nachteil ist fr mich der Batterieverbrauch. ca. 4 Mignonzellen pro Jahr sollte man schon einkalkulieren.

Der Preis? Naja, billig ist es nicht bei mehreren Heizkrpern 🙂
Sollte mehr als ein Heizkrper im selben Raum gesteuert werden empfiehlt sich auf jeden Fall noch das externe Thermostat.

Brilliant system, installation took 15 minutes and decent instructions were provided. I’ve added the reading or valves as well.
Once installed added everything to Apple HomeKit and tied it to my existing automations. In less then 90 minutes I’d got all of my heating automated.

Arrived on time we’ll packed. Unboxed it and found the quick install guide and thought help. I had already spent a day putting trv’s on all my radiators which was a challenge on it’s own because I had to change the tails which ment getting a special tool, anyway started off following the instructions disable the wired thermostat, plug in the tado hub the start adding bits and it was very easy after you select the bits you have , boiler/programmer them it give you detailed instructions on what to do my biggest problem was getting the old programmer off but after that simple then at the end change it to gavity from pumped that’s done then. Just set the schedule . Then fitted the rad valves realy easy took about 3 minutes a rad the longest thing was to set the schedule most were the same for every day it the office was different two days which ment you got to set it 7 days which is a bit slow but it all works great would recommend it, not sure it will save any money but the house is warmer no cold spots.

Acquistato per sostituire il mio termostato analogico. Facile da installare, facile da utilizzare e molto molto completo come prodotto. Da remoto funziona benissimo, attivi i riscaldamenti tramite wifi e controlli consumi, dati sulla caldaia ecc. il funzionamento della base a batteria mentre il dispositivo wifi va collegato tramite usb (o con il suo trasformatore ad una normale presa elettrica)
Consiglio acquisto.
L'unica pecca e che essendo attaccati al termosifone la temperatura resta falsata.
Il prodotto funziona bene, il costo un po’ eccessivo, per nell’insieme fanno risparmiare.

Can’t believe how easy it was to replace 2 Honeywell wired thermostats with these Tado ones. The instructions were simple, screen by screen on phone, everything connected and worked straight away. Setting the schedules was easy enough via the app but would’ve been nice if you could copy on day to another(small gripe).
Only just installed them but really happy so far.

I bought this during the Black Friday event for 135 and was a little nervous about installation as I’m no electrician. Straight out of the box, the internet bridge connected seamlessly and quickly and simply paired with the wireless thermostat.
Tado provides bespoke installation instructions just for your particular heating setup taking into account makes and models of boiler, programmer and existing thermostat, I basically picked my thermostat from the drop down box and followed the very easy to understand wiring instructions. This procedure was then followed for replacing my existing programmer with the wireless receiver. Tado made this daunting process easy, so don’t be put off, the instructions were provided on an easy to understand step by step and now we have complete smart control of both our heating and hot water. I have also purchased a pack of 4 smart Tado thermostatic radiator valve heads to allow heating zoning on a room by room basis.
The installation took less than an hour in total.

Facil de instalar y de programar. Solo una pega, imposibilidad de programar distinto, los dias de la semana.
il secondo Tado che acquisto, uno per la casa dei miei ed uno per casa mia. L’installazione semplice, la procedura specifica viene comunicata solo durante l’attivazione del termostato: impossibile reperire informazioni pubbliche sugli impianti supportati, ho cercato per giorni se potessi sostituire il mio crino termostato Geca Unico, collegato al riscaldamento a pavimento centralizzato senza trovare nulla. Partita l’installazione, scansionato il codice del bridge comparsa la possibilit di consultare il database di tado un cui ho subito trovato le istruzioni di installazione specifiche per il mio termostato. Tado dovrebbe indicare meglio le compatibilit per aumentare la platea dei clienti.
Per quello che riguarda il funzionamento in se niente da segnalare.. se non che in caso di problemi alla connessione ad internet o ai server di Tado il termostato rimane impostato sull’ ultima modalit: la programmazione non salvata localmente ma sul cloud, dunque se ad esempio a mezzogiorno la temperatura impostata a 25 gradi e la connessione si interrompe il termostato rimane in riscaldamento a 25 gradi anche se era programmato che alle 13 la temperatura impostata sarebbe stata di 20 gradi. E solo al ripristino della connessione la programmazione riprende a funzionare! Nonostante molti utenti si siano lamentati a riguardo, l’azienda non ha fatto nulla e non credo lo far fino alla prossima versione del termostato . Questa dipendenza dal cloud dell’azienda (bypassabile solo se si in grado di smanettare con la domotica, ne parlo dopo) ci mette in mano totalmente ad essa.. il giorno che Tado decider che la v3 non pi supportata, ad esempio, il termostato cos com’ sar inutile! Altra grossa pecca che si pu avere una solo abitazione per account; niente casa al mare e casa propria senza disconnettersi e riconnettersi con un’altro utente! I servizi realmente smart poi (disattivazione del riscaldamento quando nessuno in casa, tramite rilevamento gps dei telefoni su cui l’app Tado installata e che vengono inclusi nel nucleo familiare) e la disattivazione per 15 minuti del riscaldamento quando viene rilevata una finestra aperta (solo grazie alla estrema sensibilit del sensore di temperatura/umidit del termostato stesso e che spesso ha delle false rilevazioni) a pagamento in abbonamento.. mi pare 25 anno o 3 mese, non tantissimo ma se si considera che nelle versioni precedenti l’abbonamento non era necessario anche troppo. C’ da considerare comunque che il geofencing, ovvero la rilevazione della posizione per cui il termostato, pagando l’abbonamento, decida se attivare il riscaldamento o passare in modalit away (fuori casa con una temperatura impostabile a piacere ma pi bassa per risparmiare) utile solo per chi ha un riscaldamento a risposta rapida. Attivare un riscaldamento a pavimento quando si a 2km da casa e si sta tornando non da nemmeno lontanamente il tempo all’impianto di iniziare a riscaldare!
D’altro canto questo Tado si integra molto bene con gli ecosistemi domotici pi diffusi: posso confermare che funziona bene sia con Google Home che con HomeKit di Apple, e tramite quest’ultimo, ad Homeassistant: chi in grado di far funzionare homeassistant pu fare la sua programmazione e le sue automazioni senza dover passare dal cloud del produttore.. proprio per questo motivo l’ho riacquistato e do quattro stelle anzich tre, e per il prezzo che finalmente sceso ad un livello accettabile (109 quando ho acquistato il secondo).
Lo consiglio? Solo se avete ben presente i suoi limiti, lo trovate ad un buon prezzo e se siete abili smanettoni!

Gute Ergnzung wenn es darum geht die Temperatur in einem Raum genauer einzustellen.
Durch Gardienen und einen Schreibtisch der Teileweise die Tado Thermostate an den Heizungskrpern verdeckt hat, hatte ich leider immer eine Differenz bei der Raumtemperatur die ich dann oft in der App ausgleichen musste.
Ich habe einen Raum mit einer Gre von ca. 50 qm die mit mehreren Tado Thermostaten an den Heizkrpern ausgestattet sind.
Nun habe ich zustzlich den Funk-Temperatur Sensor von Tado an die Wand montiert.
Das Gert funktioniert mit Batterien und kann entweder geklebt oder verschraubt werden (Einfache Montage).
Die Temperatur ist jetzt immer richtig eingestellt und deckt sich auch mit meinen Messungen mit einem Thermometer.
Fr alle die eine Differenz in der Raumtemperatur aufgrund von z.B. PC, Gardienen, Sofa und sonstiges in der Nhe von einem Tado Heizungshermostat haben, kennen diese falsche Werte vom Thermostat.
Das hat aber ja auch nichts mit Tado System an sich zu tun, einfach nur weil diese nicht optimal durch die Verdeckung messen knnen.
Das Problem ist aber durch dieses Zusatzgert gelst.
Der Preis ist leider etwas zu hoch, allerdings fr mich ein groer Mehrwe
Gives me control of heat in a room(s) without radiator controls
I bought this item, after conversation with Tado, to solve the problem described below. It works!
The problem is this..
Not all radiators can be fitted with Tado valves. When using the Tado system, when the rooms that do have Tado valves reach their set temperatures the boiler is shut down. Thus other “non Tado rooms” don’t get any more heat.
This means that, for example, my bedroom, only gets heat when the living room is being heated. But I want warmth in the bedroom when the living room can be cold.
Using this sensor (in the bedroom) allows me to keep the boiler on until the bedroom reaches the desired temperature.
Other “non Tado” rooms will also receive heat but their traditional radiator valves can be used to control the heat in those rooms.
Hope this helps others with a similar problem.
I have a couple of Tado thermostatic valve actuators working successfully and have generally been quite happy with them. However yesterday I tried to add one to a recently installed Pegler Terrier III valve (see attached picture). The Tado product doesn’t work with this valve (or others in the Pegler Terrier range) although it does fit quite well. Tado support have confirmed it is not compatible and it would appear that the actuator does not reach the valve and there is no adapter. The solution is to fit an alternative valve.
To be fair to Tado they do mention this on their website although finding the compatibility information is a bit tricky.

Questo termostato intelligente veramente molto bello e semplicissimo da installare. Per chi come me avendo un appuntamento del 99 con un termostato che comanda la caldaia con un semplice contatto pulito e non ha voglia di passare dei cavi per l’alimentazione questo risolvere tutti i problemi. Ciliegina sulla torta si integra perfettamente in Home Assistant infatti viene rilevato automaticamente. A dire la verit ero un po’ scettico prima avendo visto recensioni negative ma ora posso dire che molto semplice da montare e configurare. Il funzionamento al momento sembra perfetto. L’applicazione migliorabile ma nel complesso, per chi non vuole perdere tempo rende tutto perfettamente funzionante in pochi minuti e offre la possibilit con un piccolo abbonamento di fruire di funzioni avanzate basate sulla localizzazione che spingono un po’ oltre le funzionalit del termostato automatizzando gli stati. L’integrazione con Alexa istantanea e funzionale. Altra cosa degna di nota la possibilit di espansione futura con valvole termostatiche. In definitiva un buon prodotto anche carino esteticamente, molto simpatiche le animazioni e funzionale il controllo diretto sul termostato. Pienamente soddisfatto ne consiglio l’acquisto.

I wanted a simple system to control heating and wasn’t interested in controlling hot water as we have this on constant anyway. (Have a hot water tank, not a combi boiler) I went for the wired Tado thermostat as I like the fact if your broadband goes down you can still can control the heating via the Tado thermostat. Also liked the fact that I didn’t have to change my timer unit and have to purchase the extension kit
Very easy to install, online instructions very clear. Replaced existing old dial Honeywell thermostat. Kept my existing timer controller next to boiler and just put heating on constant mode to enable the Tado wired thermostat to take over the heating function by creating scheduled times in the app and then adjusting heat as you want.
I understand other people views on the geo fencing about paying extra for this on a monthly subscription. This doesn’t bother me and you still retain quite a lot of functionality. If geo fencing is a deal breaker though then perhaps opt for a different system.
Overall, very pleased with the product and would recommend on ease of setup. Took me about 1 hour to install.
El envo rpido y sin contratiempos. El producto es sencillo de instalar para cualquier persona con nociones bsicas del tema y habilidades de bricolaje. El funcionamiento sper intuitivo desde la app. Llevo poco tiempo utilizndolo espero que el ahorro energtico que venden sea cierto. No he probado la integracin con Alexa que entiendo funcione bien.

Funziona benissimo e non ho nulla contro il prodotto ma un po’ sono dispiaciuto dal fatto che sia necessario per controllare la temperatura stanza per stanza correttamente. Il problema che gli attuatori dei termosifoni non hanno temperature precise proprio perch si trovano molto vicini ai termosifoni quindi il sensore della temperatura diventa indispensabile. Avrei preferito un sensore mini ed economico tipo aqara ma pazienza. Almeno funziona bene

Acquistato termostato cablato e 4 valvole termostatiche in offerta.
Penso siano indispensabili per chi come me ha il riscaldamento autonomo e la stufa a pellet che per non sufficiente per scaldare adeguatamente tutta la casa. Ho risolto con l’acquisto di questo sistema, cos ogni camera pu richiedere alla caldaia di accendersi per poter alzare la temperatura.
Avevo acquistato il sistema simile ma Netatmo, del quale ho effettuato il reso appena accortomi che non avrebbe risolto il mio problema.
Tado molto pi semplice da installare in nemmeno 20 minuti aveva gi installato e configurato il tutto. Un po’ macchinosa l’impostazione dei programmi personalizzati ma niente di insormontabile. Ho i termosifoni con valvola FAR, che l’assistenza tado mi dava per non compatibili, ma si riesce a montare la valvola senza nessun problema. Non posso che consigliare l’acquisto.
NOTA:. Le funzioni automatiche spegnimento riscaldamento con finestra aperte e alcuni funzioni avanzate funzionano solo dopo aver acquistato un abbonamento, a scelta se mensile o anni, io ho optato per quello annuale a 26 , e penso che sia una cosa da avere.

Living in a a townhouse were often met with the issue of it being cold on the ground floor and hot on the top floor. These valves have helped to automatically balance the temperature much more evenly across all three floors of our home, whilst also reducing the number of radiators to heat up by fully closing the valves if the room is at or above temperature. Installation was very easy and straight forward. Even if we don’t see a cost save or return on investment, the improved comfort factor alone is worth it for us.
Useful to have to complement Tado TRVs
Bought this temperature sensor on offer otherwise it becomes a expensive necessity. They are useful when used with Tado TRVs that may be obscured behind furniture where it is not able to capture an accurate room temperature from the TRV itself. It has prevented the heating being turned on/off when it is or isn’t required
We’d previously purchased the Tado Wired Smart Thermostat V3+ Starter Kit and this was simplicity itself to install in part thanks to the Tado app. So it made sense to add some Radiator Thermostats for our bedrooms.
Installation begins in the Tado app, which takes you step by step through the process. It took seconds to remove our current thermostatic valve, but the lack of a brand mark meant we were uncertain about the brand. A Google search (combined with support pages on Tado’s website) directed us to the right combination of adapter and pin. It took us about 20 minutes to fit the first valve, but the others were each done in about 5 minutes.
One quick tip: on our first radiator we encountered a calibration error, E04. Refitting the original valve and opening and closing the valve a number of times, corrected this issue. On the others, we did this before removing the original valve and had no configuration errors.

The thermostat was so easy to fit just follow the instructions on the app once you have the thermostats, it was only 2 wires in my install…It is important you check with Tado before purchase they will let you know if there products is compatable with your system. I got these on a offer on Amazon that was far cheaper than buying direct from Tado…watch out for the offers saved me a lot of money
La parte critica iniziale, cio l’installazione, ben guidata dall’app pu essere fatta in autonomia nella maggior parte dei casi senza ulteriori spese aggiuntive. L’app ben fatta, e anche se alcune funzionalit aggiuntive sono a pagamento la cifra tutto sommato contenuta. Nel mio caso non la uso, ho collegato il termostato a Home Assistant via HomeKit controller: in questo modo il controllo indipendente dalla connessione Internet e dipende dalla rete wifi locale. Uso Home assistant anche per tutta la parte programmazione. In ogni caso senza Internet le programmazioni nell’app si perdono momentaneamente (sono salvate nel cloud) ma sempre possibile impostare le temperature direttamente dal termostato. Non si rimane mai al “freddo” come a volte sostenuto. Per ora il giudizio positivo.

I use two of these in rooms with Tado TRVs installed. They monitor temperature in the room rather than on the TRV giving more accurate control and managing open window sensing. Rather than stick them to the wall I have them on stands.
Desde que tuve la idea de empezar a poner domtica en casa fue de lo primero que compr y de un de las cosas que estoy mas contento.
Estas vlvulas hacen que pueda independizar cada estancia de casa con la tempera que consideres en cada momento .
La instalacin depende de tu sistema de radiadores para encontrar el adaptador adecuado de los que incluye, pero el montaje es fcil y bien explicado desde la App.
Si le puedo poner un pero es que esos adaptadores para el radiador con de plstico y si el radiador est en una zona de paso cabe la posibilidad de que “arranques” la vlvula y que si esto se repite continuamente el plstico de la rosca s vaya deteriorando. A mi me ha pasado pero no creo que sea lo habitual ya que los otros tres estn como el primer da.
Una funcin muy interesante que han aadido mediante actualizacin es que se pueda dejar la vlvula para solo controlarse por la App y que aunque toques la corona de la propia vlvula, esta no funcione evitando as encendidos inconscientes.
Overall, five stars, because it works really well. For value, hard to say, but the outlay was significant in total for the system and it will be difficult to assess any savings made through Tado alone.
But I do like the system very much. Our old dumb thermostats were all defective and did not function as thermostats after 33 years, just simple on/off knobs. So replacing them with these smart valves was a revelation. Now the radiators are controlled properly, and accurately, with proper temperature sensing instead of vague, meaningless numbers on a dial.
At first I just installed seven new TRVs with the bridge, but two days later I added the smart wired thermostat to replace or dumb timer/thermostat. Now the control of the system is so much more refined. Any room can request the boiler to turn on, even if the main hall thermostat is already up to temperature. Switching from simple mains on/off relay to e-Bus control now means that there is a lot more intelligence to the heating operation all round.
I feel that Tado really puts us (well, me) back in control. I now know exactly what is going on with the heating and can fine tune room settings and insulation to maximise cost savings without sacrificing comfort. For a gadget nerd like me (or anyone else economically minded) this system is great.

Ich habe mir letztes Jahr zwei Thermostate von tado gekauft, mit denen ich sehr zufrieden bin. Und jetzt habe ich noch einen Funk Temperatursensor gekauft um die Temperatur, im doch recht groen Wohnzimmer, besser regeln zu knnen. Die Installation war wie gewohnt sehr einfach und alles funktioniert einwandfrei. Ich wei nicht warum es so viele negative Rezensionen gibt. Habe die Thermostate seit einem Jahr im Einsatz und bin sehr zufrieden damit und denke das der Sensor eine gute Ergnzung ist.
I had no idea how to install it and I was very afraid that I would end up calling someone to come as I would have to get it fixed as we couldn’t do without a heater. However the STEP BY STEP guide on the app was amazing. It took only 40 mins to install it. Over the performance and attention to detail of this brand was 10 out of 10.

This is a useful extra to owning the wonderful “Tado” smart central heating control system. The valves themselves, like all radiator valves, sit too close to the radiator to be able to read the room temperature accurately. If there’s only one radiator in the room, then this hardly matters as you will just alter the temperature to what is comfortable and ignore that it is not the actual room temperature. However, if you do want an accurate room temperature, then this wireless sensor will be the only way to go. You can create an artificial “offset” to the valve using the app, but, well — that really doesn’t work well in my book. Also, this wireless sensor is surely a ridiculous price, shocking, I feel; and the plastic stand, lovely as it is, is just a c-r-a-z-y price. But… if you are “into” the Tado system, then buy these you will eventually feel you must and, in the end, like me, you’ll forget the price and be happier than before. The Tado system is excellent, after all — it’s just over-priced. We’ve even bought it for our son and his family in their new house. They like it, too, but, oh the price!
Wir haben mehrere Thermostate und Sensoren im Haus verteilt. Alles funktioniert perfekt. Auch wenn die Sensoren zustzlich Geld kosten machen sie absolut Sinn. Die Temperaturmessung durch den internen Sensor der Thermostate direkt an der Heizung ist in groen Rumen nicht wirklich gut. Der Sensor kann dagegen berall im Raum verteilt werden und misst so immer richtig.
This add on sensor is ideal for a room where there are multiple radiators fitted with TADO smart radiator Thermostats fitted . My hall has 3 radiators fitted with TADO smart radiator Thermostats, these were all control by one SRT. This Wi-Fi sensor allows all three radiators to be controlled by it, this has the advantage of being installed in the most favourable position in the hallway. I experimented with positioning the sensor in differing places in the hall and comparing the balance of the heating using a thermometer before fixing it to the wall. The sensor is a bit pricey but works really well and is a very Easy to Install add on.

Abito in un piccolo condominio con riscaldamento centralizzato e avevo la necessit di un sistema che mi permettesse di riscaldare la camera da letto raggiungendo la temperatura desiderata. Infatti, come noto, le valvole termostatiche, essendo posizionate direttamente sul termosifone, percepiscono il calore molto velocemente non permettendo alla stanza di raggiungere la temperatura richiesta. Con questo sensore ho risolto il problema. Inoltre grazie all’app ho tutto sotto controllo grazie anche ai programmi che mi permettono una gestione della temperatura in base ai giorni e orari.
Habe das Funkthermostat zur Erweiterung meines bestehenden Tado-Systems gekauft, da die Temperaturmessung am smarten Thermostat zu sensibel auf die (leider deutlichen) Temperaturschwankungen an einer Auenwand reagiert hat. Dadurch wurde ein vermehrtes bersteuern des Ventils verursacht (zu viel Heizen bzw. zu langes Auskhlen). Doch seitdem der zustzliche Temperatursensor nahe der Wohnungsmitte sitzt, wurden die Temperaturschwankungen und intensiven Heizphasen minimiert. Die Regelung ist deutlich genauer geworden. Auch die Montage htte einfacher nicht sein knnen (direkt auf die Raufasertapete mit den beigelegten 3M Stripes geklebt) und die Einbindung in das Tado System war ebenso unproblematisch. Eine Einstellung zur Toleranz von Temperaturschwankungen/ Regelempfindlichkeit wre innerhalb von Tado recht praktisch – aber kein direktes Defizit von diesem Artikel, sondern auf Tado allgemein zu beziehen. Zudem ein relativ hoher Preis fr ein Zusatzgert, was eigentlich nur ein Thermometer darstellt. Doch solange mein Vermieter nicht einsieht, die Dachwohnung zeitgem zu dmmen, sollen zumindest Komfort und Gasrechnung nicht darunter leiden. 😉

purtroppo in molti casi necessario perche’ la rilevazione delle temperature fatta dalle valvole stesse inaffidabile, soprattutto nel caso di caloriferi posizionati in nicchia. Avevo piu’ volte chiesto al servizio clienti di commercializzare una cosa simile, ma assurdo che costi come una valvola termostatica che oltre al sensore di temperatura ha la valvola !
Comunque funziona, ora la regolazione della temperatura funziona molto meglio

I really like the whole Tado system, controlling all my radiators and underfloor heating all on one place. Love the extra feature in the app, a real standout product.
Hab mehrere Thermostate im Einsatz. Es war aber immer so das nach einiger Zeit es gefhlt klter im Raum war als es angezeigt wurde. Nach dem ich nun das Wand Thermometer benutze ist dies nicht mehr der Fall. Raum ist dauerhaft wunderbar warm. Einrichtung wie immer ganz leicht. Toll auch das man dadurch nun Zehntel genau die Temperatur steuern Kennung nicht wie zuvor im 0,5 c Bereich. Bin so begeistert das ich ein zweites bestellt habe fr einen anderen Raum.

Fantstico genial. Sin duda muy recomendable. Yo tengo 2 inalmbricos y uno de pared, avise al servicio tcnico ya que al subir la temperatura en el inalmbrico no me activaba la caldera, pero me los enlazaron desde Tado.
Es genial ya que si una habitacin es mas fria que otras, activas ese termostato para que no sea la habitacin mas caliente la que controle. Sin duda es la mejor comprar.

Beste Entscheidung ever. Bei smarten Heizkrper-Thermostaten sitzt der Temperatursensor halt direkt an der Wrmequelle. Den Temperatursensor kann ich da positionieren, wo ich es warm haben will. Konkret: Bad in einer Altbauwohnung. Jetzt ist das Bad warm wenn ich es im Zeitplan einstelle UND ich habe die Heizkosten ber die App unter Kontrolle.
A really useful addition to the Tado environment.
Great device for controlling zones, group of radiators, floors, whole heating system, you name it. It also measures the temperature where it should be measured, so no more over- or underheating because the sensor on the radiator is saying that’s 20 where is 17 really or vice versa. Our living room is now at the just right heating level all the time. The RRP price is a little bit high so I’m waiting for another deal to buy at least one more for kitchen.
Sensor gives accurate room temperature
This is a great Add-on to my radiator valves as one of my valves is too close to a wardrobe so give inaccurate temperature. This well made & small wireless temperature sensor, works well in giving an accurate room temperature & sending that info to the radiator valve in that room.
I would definitely recommend this to any one that has a Tado radiator valve that is giving inaccurate temperature due to direct sunlight or being covered.

One of the things I noticed with the iOS app is that it notifies you that you are out of the home radius (GEOFENCING) so it shows a notification but there is no option to switch to AWAY mode. You have to open the app to be able to set it.

Respond is slow
Try several times to find out adequate setting. It works well now but when using Siri or OK google to control it, the response is a little bit slow.

Purchased to cover our living room which did not have a TVR, works really well and looks smart on the wall. alexa integration was easy to setup and now “Alexa set living room heating to 20′” turns the heating up to 20 for 1hr perfect. Combined with all the other TVR’s i belike we are using less gas but time will tell.

I have replaced every radiator valve and underfloor heating thermostat in the house. I did it myself and it was extremely easy. I hated the idea of the heat coming on even if we weren’t in the house, and this is not a problem anymore. Hopefully our electricity costs will come down soon because underfloor heating is expensive (was already installed when we bought the house and I had no idea how costly). Alexa integration is ok, because Alexa is only ok (my partner’s decision to buy, not mine – she drives me completely insane).

I really like it. Works fine and is very accurate.
It might take a bit to install and do the settings, but once you figure out how Tado works then you’ll love it.
I recommend to read the instructions and make use of their online chat. They will help you with everything you want to know about how the Tado gadgets work.
If you want to activate the Auto-assist feature then you’ll have to pay a subscription of 2.99/ month, but you don’t want to pay you can use the Smart schedule feature.
I’m not disappointed I’ve made this purchase.
Amazing control
This is an amazing product . and the installation was so fast… I was a bit scared as my a/c are from the Philippines but they were all recognized immediately.
Just one bad point, the usage on the remote itself (so not with siri / tado app) is not easy at all… the touch screen is not responsive enough and the navigation is hard.

Slick, not cheap but constantly improving and growing
The thing about tado is that they have a feel of a small company that is trying to improve, the app and software is regularly updated and their helpdesk is not bad, which in itself is a rare thing. It’s not cheap but like that it is non-google as I think I give google enough info already!
The only downside is their manuals and installation guide – they have a questionnaire so they send you the right manual, if that fails you have to call up – give people a backstop and put all installation guides on line. If you have circuit breakers and an existing thermostat you can do the installation yourself.
