AfterShokz Trekz Titanium Wireless Bone Conduction Headphones Bluetooth Sweatproof Earphones with Mic for Sports, Canyon Red
Runners powered by their favourite sound track but still able to hear the traffic around, biker hearing both GPS navigation and cars approaching from behind, office worker enjoying music still maintaining communication with colleagues, mom listening to her podcast but won’t miss a single sound bit of her baby in the cradle, vision impaired going around the town hearing both GPS and surroundings… isn’t that a beautiful world? Better yet, there is nothing in their ears.

What is bone conduction?
We hear bone conduction sound while eating, drinking and scratching our head, etc. We also hear ourselves talking partially through bone conduction. That’s why we perceive our own voice differently from what other people hear. Taking advantage of this natural phenomenon, bone conduction transducers guide micro-vibration through the cheekbones to the inner ears, delivering sound without plugging or covering them.

I love running and cycling but find it hard to stay safe while listening to music. Plus sweat dripping in my ears and ear plugs dropping out. I tried the AfterShokz out in a shop and was amazed by the sound quality but did not purchase them as they were cheaper here on Amazon. Just done my first run in them around York along the river and town centre bearing in mind it is 26 degrees today so I knew i was going to sweat. I did not have to have the music on loud as its coming through your bone rather than directly into your ears. I could hear traffic people talking and still hear my music. Sweat did not affect the sound quality and they did not slip or move.
If you want a pair of earphones with great sound like Boss these are not for you. If you want a pair of earphones for fitness and to stay safe by hearing traffic these are a great product.
I bought the Normal size and my head is 57cm circumference and they fit fine. They come with instructions, carry bag and charging cable. They took about an 1 hr to charge and that was from a power bank.
All in all, very pleased and i would recommend them.
I was abit sceptical about these, as I had never used anything like them before, and I don’t usually leave reviews. I run about 4 times a week, and sometimes on my own, so I felt I needed to be aware of my surroundings whilst listening to my music. I can tell you now I wasn’t disappointed. The sound quality is excellent. I can hear traffic, and also bicycle bells whist still being able to hear my music. I can voice dial too, which is good if there’s ever an emergency. They feel very secure during my runs too. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
Great for running out doors. Music is clear but I am able to hear traffic as well. Living in a rural area with no pavements and windy roads I can feel safe running but can also relax with my choice of music. Great battery life. My last set only lasted a couple of hours without the need to recharge.
The fact that you can wear these and still ,be aware of what’s happening around you. Great for cycling, jogging etc
Have been using daily no issues with the headphones Sound quality is good for audio books and podcasts not great for music
One of the best items I’ve bought off Amizon. I have always hated earphones as I believe playing music in the ears cant be healthy. These earphones provide crisp, clear music to the ears via the bones adjacent to the ear allowing you to hear external sounds, which is essential when driving or running.
I use them while out running and love them. I can here what is going on around me like traffic and other people but still clearly here the music or podcast that I am playing on my phone. Used in all weathers and still working great.
Wasn’t sure about getting these but needed them for a race that doesn’t allow normal headphones but have been very impressed. They keep the Bluetooth signal very well, the sound quality is great ( a bit light on the bass but that’s to be expected) and most importantly they are loud enough to be great to run with while still hearing whats around you . I have used them on 2 runs so far a short fast run and a half marathon distance and they are super comfortable ( first time ever I dont feel I have to keep adjusting headphones ) For the price a solid 5/5 .
Easy to pair and great battery life and really sit nicely when you are active or running. When my phone is in my lower pocket, there are some issues with Bluetooth but I have in a running vest and so interruptions to sound.
A great buy
Wow. What a piece of kit.
Sound quality is fantastic considering the speakers are not in ear.
Bit too much vibration at high volume so not sure how comfortable this would be if you were in a noisy environment.
For me though for fairly quiet runs round the local park etc these are perfect.
Love the neckband as opposed to wires as makes them very secure and compact behind the head.
I’ve got a large ish head and don’t feel they are too tight.
Battery could do with being longer I suppose, but I guess that’s down to the vibration.
Bluetooth range is superb and not had them cut out once.
Very happy.
2 years manufacturers warranty with registration.
I was originally a bit concerned that bone conduction would not work. But it does! Unless I am somewhere extremely noisy, I can hear my music or audiobooks just fine. It takes a little getting used to as you can still hear your environment, but I adjusted quickly. Its great for helping me feel safer as I can hear when someone is approaching me – or even friends just saying his if we bump into each other. I have never been a music quality aficionado, but these are the best quality headphone I have owned in that regard so very happy them!
These headphones are a game changer for me. I wear hearing aids and have always had problems with headphones, needing to remove my aids to listen, then being unable to hear people talking to me. With these I can keep my aids in, hear my audio books or music more clearly and pause whatever I’m listening to if someone needs to speak to me. Another great feature is being able to take and make calls at the touch of a button! I love them!
I went for these bone conduction headphones due to me suffering from slight hearing loss in my left ear. Having tried a multitude of fixes, none of which were satisfactory I tried these.
Well, its a bloomin revelation, i can hear evenly through these, so i fear i have a middle ear condition and not inner. The sound is strange, in that i cant get away from the fact that the sound I’m hearing is at least partially coming from the grill on each side, as sound leakage is a very real thing here. And so I dont know how much bone sound I’m getting and how much actual sound I’m getting, if you know what I mean.
They are comfortable for about an hour or so then they can start to hurt, due to the pressure being exerted on your cheek bones. It’s not a massive amount of pressure but nonetheless you will notice it after a while.
The actual weight of them is negligible and charging is pretty quick say an hour will get you 8 to 9 hours playback. Bass does tend to tickle somewhat as it just vibrates on your cheek.
Sound quality wise, it’s not going to be rivaling any pair of decent conventional cans, however it is a different kind of sound, and is very clear and bass is evident and quite meaty.
All in all for sports or if you have hearing issues they are a God send.
A great device to preserve ambient sound whilst listening to your own music or source via Bluetooth – feels like another extra sense. I wear hearing aids and this enables me to experience both without any compromise. I have not tried them whilst cycling or exercising but imagine that they will allow you to be aware of the surrounding environment. They need some careful positioning around the ear bone area, but once established, the sound is very impressive. They also impart a vibration that gives the listening experience an additional dimension. Highly recommended.
These are great, purchased so my husband can make a phone call whilst cycling. The headphones enable him to hear the caller whilst not cancelling out the important background traffic noise. I’m still not sure how they work without being in the ear but they do work!!!
These headphones are fantastic. You will not be disappointed. Buy them. I use them for the gym, cycling and running. Due to being clumsy I usually get through a pair every couple of months. Most seem to have small pieces on them which I either break or lose. For me these are bombproof. They sit on the outside of the ear so no wax or sweat issues or sore ears. The sound quality is great, and they fit me fine. (I have a large head of 63cm). They are not cheap, but well worth every penny.
Bought these as I wear hearing aids and wanted headphones that for once give my ears a rest from having something jammed in them, I have found the fit and sound quality to be excellent for when I run.
only issue I have found is that they annoy behind the ears but I can live with that.
I look forward to wearing them on the Chester Half Marathon this year.
These aren’t audiophile headphones, but they are great when you’re running out riding as you can hear what’s going on around you while listening to music.
Great fit, battery life is very good.
The sound quality is better than I expected!
The call quality is excellent at both ends.
Bought for husband for xmas. He loves them. He says its good to be able to hear whats happening around him but also listen to his music when out running. Battery life is really good. 2 charges in a week when went on a holuday abroad when used for thd full 4 hour flight and running evety day plus resting by the pool
Bought these for my wife who loves them. She has some ear problems and can’t always stick ear buds in her ears. These solve that issue.
They do leak a lot of sound so not the best for ones commute.
The battery life is okay – not amazing but okay – they’ll get you to work and back and maybe a work out too if you remember to switch them off.
They do charge pretty quickly .
It’s great to be able to hear the outside world and listen to music.
Excellent design. I feel that they won’t fit all heads, in fact I believe mine are meant to stay in place a bit higher in my head, but my head is too small. Suprised about the sound quality, don’t expect noose proof headphones but I can now use this ones while running or cycling and hear the cars around me. They are super light as well and come with a nice little bag to carry them.
These headphones are perfect for my hard of hearing partner. No longer do I need to tholl a blaring TV and if I need his attention he can hear me. As an added bonus, he doesn’t complain about his ears getting too hot as the the over the ear models do. Can’t comment too much on the durability yet as we have just got them. The only issue he has is the tendency for them to move slightly if he leans his head back on the chair as the band isn’t adjustable but very comfortable otherwise. When he gets his hearing aids he may not need them but a good investment so far. Overall delighted!!
A few people mentioned how the continous pressure starts to give you a headache after a period of 30 mins or more – it’s true. That said it’s hardly a massive headache, more like one you don’t notice when you’re very active or distracted. I regularly wear them for hours at a time.
I wear them for cycling, running and sitting at work and the most annoying thing is how the back band hinders wearing hats, especially when cycling in the winter.
These are great if you’re active and bluetooth range is adequate.
I’m convinced the battery notifications are probably only accurate to 10 or 20% as after a night spent connected to my phone it still said 100% charge. Battery life has been fine though.
Don’t buy them if you’re trying to block background noise, I plan on buying a separate pair of noise cancelling ones for sitting at my desk but I always knew I’d have to
I run marathons and at the moment I’m training for a 1/2 marathon. This race will only allow bone conduction headphones. I’d never heard of such technology but thought I would try it out. So far, so good. It paired to my iPhone 6 immediately. The instruction guide is excellent and user friendly. The headphones sit well around my head and it doesn’t feel weird that nothing is wedged into my ears. Sound is great. But it started snowing (excuses!) and so I haven’t been able to test it while on a long run. BTW, it is water resistant but not water proof.
The ease of set up was very fast and i was using the product within 2 hrs. I use it mainly when driving, but also in the garden, so i can still hear everything going on around me.
… because they don’t. Particularly if you use them as handsfree for your phone, the other party will ask you if they are on loudspeaker. On the other hand, for example to wear them during lunch, they’re the best … in-ear noise cancellation ones (AKG) will make you hear the sound of your bones while you’re chewing, while there’s always a risk that one of your earPods fall into the soup.
I still recommend the AfterShokz, particularly at that price.
I bought these mainly for podcasts and audiobooks… I already knew the limitations of the tech (very little bass) so was not expecting audiophile quality sound and these are wonderful.
Easy to put on, stay in place and comfortable for long periods of time… Controls are solid and work reliably and the microphone for hands free calling is clear to the other person. They are audible to others at high volumes and have a strange but not unpleasant vibration when turned all the way up.
Overall, one of the best things I’ve bought in a long time and it’s great fun seeing people’s reaction when they try them!
Wanted Aftershokz for a while now, they haven’t disappointed me at all. Spend most of my running time on the roads and listening to music, these make it so much better to hear around. They fit oround the head very well, tight against the cheekbones, but not in any way uncomfortable. They’re going to get plenty of use in the coming months as I marathon train. The build quality is very good, they don’t seem like they’ll be easy to break. Nice touch they supply a small pouch to store them in (however I’ve purchased a more robust case for protection)
I’m also cycling all the time and I’ve used them this week on the bike, they fit perfectly well with my helmet on, no interference from the straps. Very good to be hearing traffic around for safety.
Now obviously, as others have said, sound quality isn’t outstanding, but it is very, very good. I absolutely love these and can’t be more happy with the purchase.
I’ve been tempted for ages to get these for running and at 79 they seemed to have come down to a sensible price. The Bluetooth connectivity seems to work fine with my iPhone 6S and although I haven’t tested the battery life really I can say that after a couple of runs and a few hours listening around the house I got bored of waiting for them to go flat and charged them up. I’d say battery is more than adequate for my needs and will easily survive a three hour run. They are comfortable and fit well…I have a size 60 head which is quite big but they are fine.
The sound quality is ok – pop music sounds punchy enough and podcasts are absolutely fine. Jazz and classical sound ok too in quiet surroundings but these aren’t going to be anyone’s first choice for high sound quality. It seems to me that the bass comes through the bones and the treble is mostly coming directly into the ear through traditional means. For that reason they are a bit leaky and might not be great for the train and so on where others could be annoyed. For running our outdoor stuff though they are great as you can still hear what’s happening around you which is obviously the USP. Wireless is brilliant if you’ve never had it – you don’t realise how annoying wires are until they’re gone.
Where these have really come into their own for me is pottering round the house doing chores, cooking etc, where I quite often want to listen to stuff but also want to be available to family. They don’t close you off to the world like trad headphones.
All in all, these headphones seem to hit a bit of a goldilocks spot for me. Battery life, sound quality, convenience, comfort, safety…no one thing is blowing my socks off but combined these headphones are just right.
Great headphones and great quality. But despite I checked the size (the official webpage has a ruler to print in order to measure your head) I have to say the normal size is too big for most of women (my friend she also purchased the same and had the same problem) what makes them uncomfortable but the size mini is great for woman. Normal size ones fits really well on my dad and other male friends who tried them.
I use it to listen to podcasts around 90 mins a day when commuting . It beats all my expectations. Battery lasts more than 8 hours as I recharge it weekly without being warned. It’s very comfortable and let’s me wear my glasses and helmet with no problem. Is not heavy at all. In general I’ve had a very nice experience in past 3 months
hese are great. 10/10
love being able to run whilst being aware of my surroundings, bonus that they can be used in events which normally dont allow headphones. bone conduction technology is really clever and works well
I was hesitant at first, so I bought cheaper ones. They did not last but the technology works, so I upgraded to these. I am very happy with them. They fit comfortably, the sound quality is good. It’s not great for talking, but I bought them for running so they serve me perfectly.
I have used iphone headphones, Beats over ear headphones and have been quite happy with both of those. However the new rules when running in competition means that we can only use bone conducting headphones. I got these based on running recomendations and i wasnt disappointed. They fit perfecty, the sound quality is very good, despite being told it wouldnt be, they dont slip, the battery life is good and i really am happy with these. I havent used another pair of headphones since.
Great prduc
I got these as normal ear buds irritate my ears. I was a bit worried that they would have to be a tight fit and would not have a good frequency response. These concerns have proved groundless. They give a good sound and battery life is much better than my Tom Tom ones. The audibility of ambient noise is both an advantage and disadvantage but the former outweighs the latter and you are provided with a set of ear plugs in case it becomes a problem, I have not had to use them yet. They are comfortable to wear and I find them better when using them in the gym as my ears don’t fill up with sweat anymore. Highly recommended.
I bought the headphones for running . I have had a number of headphones over the many years I’ve been running and these are the best for a few reasons. I have given them some good outings in rain, wind and heat and they have performed very well. Ok they are not your Bose sound quality but they are easily good enough for running, the quality is good. The battery life is good and comfort is good. Bit weird at first with them sitting on the bone and not in the ear but a couple,of runs sorted that out. The main reasons I bought them , one because I wanted to be able to hear a bit of ‘outside noise’ when running , they work very well for that but the main reason I bought them was to help protect my ears against infection and build up of too much wax. The headphones allow the ear to sweat naturally I.e the sweat has somewhere to go and not stay in the ear with conventional bud headphones. Since I’ve used them my ears have felt great and much drier after a run so I think my hearing will stay better with less build up of wax and thus less trips for microsuction.
I am visually impaired and use this product with various voice applications. The sound quality from music would be relatively poor but this is not the key purpose for me. If you want good sounding headphones for music, do not Tuesdays. If you are interested in a set of headphones that will keep your ears free whilst allowing you to enjoy spoken word, these are for you and, although they are expensive, they are durable and quite good quality for this type of product.
Originally bought these for the bike but found that I am using for everything. Love the fact you can still hear what’s going on around you while listening to music.
I wear glasses and find they are still comfy. Music quality is what you’d expect, never going to be in ear quality but still good.
Can’t recommend them enough.
Only down side is maybe storage but not massive issue.
I would give these headphones a 4.5 if possible.
Pros: The ease of use is brilliant, the sound is fantastic (considering its bone conduction technology), are aesthetically pleasing, they last for a whole day of constant use. I also use them on my bike and its great still being aware of your surroundings.
Cons: They dont fit on my head perfectly, and its not really just my head thats an issue. Around 50% of people that tried it, found it a bit loose. They really should find a more universal model, so something more “compact” or “tight”. I would advise trying it on before buying if possible.
Overall a good buy.
Usec these for months now. Took some getting used too but for exercise would be without. You can still hear the world around you whilst running or cycling… they dont fall off. Amazing battery life…quick recharge… these and my airpods are my go to headphone out and abou
The battery life is EXACTLY as advertised. The volume is very good, connectivity is simple and strong and the overall design is pretty convenient (I wear glasses and they fit perfectly.)
Sound quality is surprisingly amazing. I was incredibly skeptical of this when I got it and it just did not disappoint.
But to clarify, this product is *NOT SILENT* people can still hear your music if it is playing loud enough so be wary of this before you buy.
Fantastic product.
These are great.
Use them every run. They could do to be a bit of a tighter fit if anything but perfectly good enough for me.
These are very good, particularly if you’re wanting to use it as I do, to help with navigation.
Not very easy to wear them though when you have a coat on, the bar keeps catching on your collar and pushing them out of place.
Very stable when running. Cant put it too loud or it vibrates so much you feel like an insect entered your ear and you have to rip it off immediately.
After that one bad experience, I have been careful with the volume controls and have been very satisfied, theyre very comfortable
I use these mostly while walking my dog. They allow me to briefly greet other dog walkers without taking on and off all the time.
Sound quality is OK, can be a little finnicky to get them sounding good and the quality doesn’t compare to headphones or ear buds.
Third set of bone conducting headphones, these the most expensive to date as others eventually failed after a few months use. Out of the box you can instantly tell the quality of these, they feel and look good. No problems connecting with devices, on run sound is clear and distinct. Just hope these go the distance, only time will tell.
Sound quality is worse than ordinary headphones, but that was to be expected due to technology. They work great for speech and ok-ish for music. Battery lasts 3-4 days, which is great.
The one complaint I have is that low battery warning sounds too close to headphones shutting off. Like 5-10 minutes ahead. IMO it should be at least an hour.
Purchased product for running. Love the choice of colours and the product is really good with quality sound. Reaply impressed. Delivery was next day. Only commebt is that on the official aftershokz site it gives you a measuring tool to decide if you need mini or normal headphones, either amazon should use this or before you purchase print the tool to save time returning goods. I used before purchase. Love the battery length as well 6hrs is more than enough.
Very good set of head phones. The first time I’ve not gone for in-ear headphones. They are light and when you get going they are great. They allow me to hear traffic but also my own breathing which helps as sometimes with loud in-ear headphones this was not possible. I have ran a half marathon or so with these and they were a little bit uncomfortable at the end but I would have felt the same with my in-ear ones (and having to put them back in throughout). The thing I like is how they connect much easier than any headphones I’ve had/let me down before.
I was skeptical at first, when I first put it on, it did feel a bit weird to wear it off the ear. Playing music, it was good but still wasn’t sure, then I notice the ear plugs. So I blocked my ears with my fingers and that surprise when I can hear crisp sound and clear too.
I have to say, I am impressed and they do feel comfortable to wear.
My friend tried it on but it did not fit properly, as his head is large.
So for a con, it fits most size heads but not on a larger head.
This could be upgraded with extension frame to fit all head sizes.
First impression on opening box was “Wow”, these look good. After charging I tried them on (purchased these as they were recommended for people wearing hearing aids). Found controls hard to operate whilst wearing them and although perfect for listening to music I could never get the sound right during movies. Spent the whole time removing them, re-adjusting and fitting them back on. The 4 stars are from My Wife who had nothing but praise for them. However, they were purchased specifically for myself so had to return them
These are great headphones and really comfy. I recently bought them for a half marathon that wouldn’t let me wear in ear ones(they fall out my ears anyway so wanted something different) These are great once you are away from all the noise of the crowd and the PA system at the start and finish line. To be honest they won’t be any good on windy days as it does interfere with what you can hear and you can’t turn them up to full volume as it vibrates your jaw bone too much.
An excellent portable device which is much preferable to wired ear-phones and much less bulky Han most head-sets. Not really suitable for use while undertaking strenous exercise and not indestructible. as it is also also an inconvenient shape to carry in a pocket it is best to buy the carrying case mad for it by the same firm and costing about 10.
Perfect for all environments apart from busy gyms. Safer for using in public spaces as you can hear your surroundings. Great to use at home to catch up on podcasts or listen to audible, whilst listening to the kids playing etc.
I use it for work.
Allows me to hear music, phone calls, as well as hearing what my customers are doing.
Bought this for my brother and partner and they all agree!
Wish it was adjustable, but that’s just me being picky, it’s comfortable and I wear glasses and a hearing aid,
Remember to put it on first, before fitting specs.
Very light, easy to setup. I was able to pair both my phone and PC at the same time, although the headphones don’t like it if both stream audio simultaneously. They are comfortable for reasonably long periods and the sound is clear and balanced. Moving them around slightly in front of the ears results in a huge difference in sound balance overall. Can be worn under a hat or under a sleep mask and also in conjunction with earplugs at night which yields a much deeper bass and louder result. Recommended.
Pros:
Decent enough sound quality
You can easily hear what is happening around you while using them
Connects easily to bluetooth devices
Comfy after you’ve broken them in
Decent battery life
Cons:
For the first month or two they felt tight and uncomfortable after 30-40 minutes’ use (but eventually they adapt to your head shape)
Reliability issues – my first pair broke after 8 months
Volume isn’t always loud enough, e.g. if there’s loud traffic nearby
You can’t skip forward and backwards from one track to the next using the headphones
If you want seriously good sound quality then this style of headphones can’t deliver
The range of the bluetooth connection isn’t great – maybe a couple of metres
But overall I really like these – brilliant for keeping an ear on what’s around you while you’re exercising or moving around the house
Great for running, walking and listening podcasts, ebooks. Not so good for music. New experience. Good to try bit over priced.
Awesome headphones that do exactly as described. I use them while running and sleeping and currently have two pairs (one for each). I bought 2pairs from IndieGoGo originally. One failed and one is still working. Aftershokz replaced the pair that failed (stopped charging) without question, and bought my last pair from Amazon. I have recommended these to many of my running and cycling friends and all are in agreement: these are a great addition to their training gear. They allow outside sounds to maintain awareness but the bone-conducting sounds are still clear and audible
I was pleasantly surprised at how good the sound quality is … especially listening to podcasts, which I tend to prefer to music when running. Weird the first time you wear them on the open road cos it’s like the sound is inside your head but you can hear everything around you. Really good fit, but I’m looking forward to warmer weather so I don’t need to wear a hat, as this tends to push them down.
Unfortunately a local run has decided to ban these too even though they are allowed under UKA rules … all because they claim they can’t tell difference between these and normal ones ! Pathetic excuse.
Best headphones I have ever owned! I have owned many over the ear/ in ear headphones (eg Sennheiser, Philips, Sony), but these are the most comfortable (and don’t fall out). Excellent as I can hear music as well as the traffic! Easily connected to my mobile phone and the battery life is excellent (can run several half marathon distance runs and more, before recharging)!
The sound quality isn’t brilliant but that’s not what I bought them for. I bought them to cycle and listen to music and be able to hear vehicles approaching and they do that well. Oh and in the rain they seem to be fine too but I haven’t been in a deluge yet.
Update: I seem to be listening to a lot of podcasts whilst cycling. In heavy traffic I have to turn the volume to full which does largely mask out the sounds of single vehicles approaching when I am in the quiet bits. So not perfect but still better than in ear headphones
Since my mum had a stroke a few years ago we’ve gradually introduced more tech stuff into our lives to enhance everyday living. The most successful of these has been the Amazon Echo which has given her talking books, radio, music, control of the heating and many more random things. The only drawback has been, because she’s hard of hearing, the whole house had to listen to her books too.
Until now! This headset is wonderful! Very easy to pair, even to a second device, excellent sound quality and, she tells me, very comfortable too. The look of pure joy on her face as the book came through, clear and easy to listen to, brought tears to my eyes. Then we realised that, because there is no other sound out, she can listen to it when she’s awake in the small hours – more delight!
I guess we’ll see how the battery life goes but so far, so wonderful! I’m going to enjoy a catnap now while she listens to her book, and that’s a firs
My wife love these as she is deaf in her right ear and partial deaf in her left . Blown away the first time of trying but decided to buy the newest aftershock upgraded produc
I bought this to replace my Blue 2s.. and it does the trick! One thing though is that the wire band is a lot thinner than the Blue 2s that it coils up into a loop which is a little annoying for me… otherwise, i like it. same performance as the Blue 2s.
I like the idea of not haveing to insert into my ears. When the volume is high they do vibrate quite a lot.
They move too much whilst walking and cycling.. sound is okay, you get used to i
I purchased the Aftershokz Titanium for jogging so I can listen to the running APP and also, traffic etc and I’m very pleased with the product. It was quick and easy to charge and pair with my phone straight out of the box and it provides a unique listening experience. I like the fact that they are flexible, durable and so far, reliable. They don’t move around while I’m running and the sound quality is perfect for my requirements. I’d recommend them.
These are awesome!!!! Good enough sound quality considering how they work – perfect for wearing in the office so you can still hear the phone ringing and colleagues whinging about the air conditioning. Couple of people who tried them on couldn’t hear the music – probably due to them having disproportionately small heads, so worth checking the Aftershokz website for the sizing guide in case you need the mini versions. Shirt collar can knock the headphones but this is a positive as it makes you correct your posture!!
goods certainly different and everyone can here your music, but comfortable and not hurting ears. Planet Gizmo delivered these next day and super cool at keeping me updated on delivery status – well done them!
Let’s get the obvious out of the way. If you are used to a decent pair of cans or in ear beasts, the sound from the AfterShokz is going to disappoint. However, to buy them to listen to on the train or indoors would be pointless. Their purpose is for those on the move and the more moving the more they make sense.
The build quality is excellent and for me they sit nicely over my ears. I bought them to help when I cycle to help with road awareness. For this purpose they are perfect. My helmet straps help to anchor and push the pads against the bones in my cheek / ear canal which improves the sound.
Overall I’m very pleased. Charge and battery time appears to be as advertised and the Bluetooth rock solid
Work well, reasonable sound quality, only downside is that everybody else can hear what your listening to.
Bought for hubby as a present. He loves them. 4 stars as they as a tad pricey
They are exactly what I wanted. They allow me to hear things around me, while listening to music. I use them for running and on my bike. So much easier than other headphones for running. I can even wear and have a conversation. Perfect.
Love them however they are a little bit big. When I went running with them I had to constantly keep repositioning them which I found quite annoying. I now use a clip to keep them in place which seems to work. Not for the smaller head!!!
Truly awesome! Sound is so clear, great frequency response, range and sensitivity, you can easily have a conversation without taking them off. I use them with the Echo Meter Touch bat detector module on my ipad for bat surveys and ability to hear the ambient and social calls whilst also hearing the ultrasonic calls is simply amazing and truly useful.
These are brilliant. I’ve tried cheaper induction headphones and it’s just not worth the hassle. These never lose the bluetooth connection and battery life is great. Great when running or cycling as you can hear the aproachuing traffic whilst still listening to the music. I’m not an audiophile so can’t really comment on the quality of the music that comes out – it seems perfectly good to me.
Was a bit unsure if these because of the price and the quality of music they provide but they are absolutely fantastic. Really easy to use long battery life and superb music quality. Has also reduced the risk if being run over whilst running on narrow country lanes
I love these headphones. I bough them to replace a pair that kept falling out of my ears, they are very comfortable to wear & quite simply do not shift when you are wearing them. So the sound quality is not the best but I really like the fact they keep your ears free to hear traffic etc.
After always finding issues with fitness headphones, whether it being longevity, comfort or sound quality, I’ve found my perfect pair.
These are brilliant for running and cycling. I can still hear approaching traffic whilst enjoying music. They have survived many sweaty workouts and a good few rain showers. They still look like new and so far seem to be built to last.
Connection to my phone (S8) is always quick and has never dropped out.
I LOVE THESE!!
Best money I’ve ever spent on earphones. Excellent sound quality, put them on and they stay on whilst running and you can still hear what is going on around you. Music automatically fades when strava voice kicks in & you can make and answer calls. Excellent piece of kit!
Probably the best outdoor headset I’ve had. No more pain in the ears. No more earpieces constantly falling out. No more useless and ungainly wires dangling out of pockets or backpacks. Audio relatively good and even mike seems to be good enough for people to understand what I’m saying while walking in the street with all the background noise. It’s light enough for me to even forget I’m wearing it. Great buy.
Oh my gosh! Once you get used to the way the sound comes out, they’re brilliant! I honestly now can’t use my in ear headphones……….. I’ve noticed that even if I put them on the headband of my hat, I can still hear sound quite clearly, even though it looks a little odd. Brilliant buy! Highly recommended
I was surprised at how good the sound was, charge seems to last a long time too. Only 4 stars as I do think they are expensive, but if you can afford them, I do recommend them.
Great product. Still fine tuning to find the most comfortable fit but no major issues. Excellent sound quality over the sort of range mentioned ie about thirty feet. Currently paired only with my iPhone but I can leave the phone on my office desk (upstairs0) and freely wander the house with perfect reception. Would certainly recommend this product to anyone (like me) who, for whatever reason, wishes to be not only wire-less but wire-free.
Love these. I can hear my music and be aware of the traffic around me.
Its great for music, comfortable, battery last days. However, using it as a headset for the phone hasn’t been great. I have been told people can’t hear me clearly.
I use these when I am out riding my mtb and they are perfect. I am a bit of an audio file and these are no pure sounding headphones but the whole point of these is that you can listen to your music while riding your bike safely. The position of the headphones dose affect the sound quality so you may need to play around with the position. I have tried lots of headphones and these are the best so far for listening to your tunes and hearing a car come up behind you. They are expensive but worth the money in my opinion.
They’re not sonically the best headphones around at the price – but they are superb for what they are intended to do – giving you decent quality music without blocking out surrounding noise. Really good connectivity to IPhone 7 – and comfortable to wear and run in
The only small downside is when cycling and wearing glasses and a helmet it does take a bit of careful layering around the ears with straps and arms to fit them comfortably. That’s fixed with a bit of juggling and you’ll forget they are there once you get them se
Well built and stylish. Very comfortable to wear. And it works remarkably well… the sound quality is good, although the bass is a tiny bit absent. But of course the key reason to buy this is to avoid blocking out the rest of the world while jogging etc. – and it’s perfect for that role!
Got these yesterday and tried them out on a run. They do the trick! Really quite cool to hear my music as well as my surroundings. Also, the in the ear headphones used to make my ears hurt. These ones, because they sit on top, are fab
Very good sound for something that does not go into your ear.
+ fairly cheap
+ good for driving a bike
+ stable
– leaks sound
– not very high volume
– quality is not ideal
– bothersome if you have a hood or a scarf
Believe the hype…. they work…sure the sound isn’t HI-FI but you don’t look like a loser with 2 dustbins over your ears … and to my ears, the quality is fine – the phone function works well – and the product comes very well packed ( Apple good)… very good item – happy to recommend. As you can hear through your “normal” ears – marathons such as Brighton allow you to use bone conductor headphones so ;if for you, music is a must when you are out with your sneakers on – these are worth serious consideration.
Very very good for audio books and podcasts. They are ok for music but as my music is old school reggae and especially dub, which means I need to hear deep bass. They’re still good but I know I hear better
These headphones are perfect for people who cycle or run as you can still hear ambient sounds.
Solves a very unique problem for me. I cycle to work and dont want to cover my ear canals. Quality of music (vibrations) is never going to match up to an equally expensive pair of headphone from Bose but I still use them every day and will continue to do so. Quite strange when you first start wearing them but you get used to them very quickly.
Took a long time to decide to purchase. So glad I did, comfortable to wear and able to be aware of what is going on around me. If you like your music but need to still me able to hold a conversation or work in an environment that requires you too still be aware of noises around you, I would highly recommend
I bought these on the basis of a recommendation, and they are great. I run and also plan to cycle so hearing my surroundings is important. The sound quality with my nexus 6p is great, they connect and work very well. Back to the sounds quality of its really quite unnerving how clear they are, it is like a high quality set of stereo had phones
Just the best I’ve been out cycling already in these and the.music is still as clear as anything I was a little sceptical about these as they are not in the ears but I can talk to my wife and listen to music at the same time they are also very comfortable and look good. There is a little vibration on the cheek but that’s not an issue well worth the buy
These were my first bone conductive headphones and all I can say is that they are awesome! At first, after using them,I got tickling sensation on my cheeks where the headphones were, but later I got used to bone conduction. The headphones are great for cycling or running, they sit firmly and don’t fall off. Battery lasts way longer then I expected. I charged them once and was using them for more them mouth! I found only one flaw: you can’t use them with a winter hat. But anyway, these are the ultimate set of bone conductive headphones!
I got these same day I ordered. Walked the dog in Bushy Park. Spoke on the phone with these things. Had conversations with people while I was listening to music. They could not hear it unless it was very quiet. Only one person said they could hear it after I asked them.
These things will not compare to Shure SE535 — which I own — but they are amazing. Very good sound quality with music. I can hear my surroundings and use my phone. Phone not in hand, listening to very good quality sound, can answer calls and aware of your surroundings. Can’t beat it.
