My husband purchased this for me for Christmas. I own a luxury picnic business and this tent brings my picnics to the next level. When I first got it a few of the poles were broken. I reached out to customer service and they were replaced immediately. So if you have any issues don't give up on the tent, first reach out to customer service and they will make it right!!!

So far so good but it's not even a month yet so we shall see. Make sure you open the windows when in side so you don't suffocate to death. You would think they would put that as a warning ⚠️ on the box or something as we DIDN'T realize that at first until we all got light head from lack of oxygen and then was like duh open the windows!

Every stitch and seam is strong. Zippers work perfectly. There are several different venting options. This is our second winter using it. We put it up under a covered gazebo, put a heater and some chairs and blankets in it, and enjoy being outdoors in the freezing Pacific Northwest winters. It is like being inside a cozy snow globe. In the spring we used it as a greenhouse for starting our veggies. Well worth the money. It got a couple of tears, and customer service was wonderful to work with. They gave us $30.00 for our trouble and a roll of repair tape just made for this type of material. We bought long sandbags to fit around the inside bottom edge to keep the bubble from letting in any cold air. The only thing we regret was not buying a bigger one. Love this product.

Easy to assemble, we have a heater in there when the chicago Temps are in the 30's it warms up nice. I had a few rips I noticed after setting it up,I was careful not to poke the sides while putting the support poles in still not sure how it happened, I used clear gorills tape which worked well

I bought this tent for my husband, an avid cigar smoker, to smoke outdoors during the winter. So far, this tent has exceeded our expectations. We listened to the reviews that cautioned us to be alert when opening it for the first time because it does have a quick pop-out. So be aware when opening it for the first time, and you need to make sure your face is out of the way!
When in the sun, the tent is warm without a heater, and we’ve noticed that two heaters are needed to warm it when it’s freezing. We purchased two ceramic heaters that seem to be doing the job. We haven’t quite figured out how to properly ventilate it for cigar smoking without letting some of the heat out. We Just had an unexpected winter thunderstorm that came through with winds up to 40 mph, and our tent was tied down to chairs we had inside the tent, and we used the weights that came with it, and it still stayed in place. It’s also shown to be waterproof, which is a plus! So far, we love it, and if I had to say anything negative, it would be that the zipper can be a little challenging to open and close, but once you figure out to push up on the tent while zipping it, that will help some.
The tent nearly sets itself up. When you unstrap the compact circle it comes in, stand back as it pops up. It requires a bit of doing to pull out the sides to make it perfectly round and it does not come with a bottom, so we added a tarp for a floor. Nice hooks for hanging lights and, being from Minnesota, we set it up on a day above freezing but then enjoyed our happy hour outside as a fun adventure. If it hadn’t been cloudy, it would have been great for star-gazing. It came down quickly and easily too and stores all in one narrow bag. Looking forward to using it to extend our outdoor seasons.
We purchased the 15×15 bubble tent for some Christmas photo sessions. The day before the sessions were to start, we received some unexpectedly high winds which knocked the tent down, sending poles through the sides and ripping the plastic in several areas. It was a disaster.
We reached out to Alvantor for advice on how to repair it but we received no support. We fixed it as best we could, just in time for the sessions, and used props and angles to hide the damaged areas.
Over the next few days, Alvantor and I communicated about what happened. They apologized, requested photos of the damage, and then, much to our surprise- they offered to send us a new one. (!!)
We have the replacement tent now but we’ll wait till the spring to set it up since we’re in zone 6 (winter at the moment).
Meanwhile, we have our damaged tent set up in our urban backyard. We’ve had temps in the single digits, a small amount of snow, many frosts, and some winds. The tent is holding up beautifully, in spite of these conditions (note- we’re not recommending this for everyone… we’re just taking our chances since it’s already hobbling along and we have another). We’ve enjoyed many gatherings in it, in the last month or so as it’s considerably warmer inside than out, especially when the sun is shining. We keep tables, chairs, blankets, and faux furs inside all of the time. We’ve used a tiny tabletop fire “pit” in it (also not recommended, but totally doable, imho), and we add a small space heater now and then when it’s especially chilly. At the moment, we have a claw foot tub inside waiting for a winter-hot-tub experience or two. It’s going to be epic.
Three small things to note:
1) The toggle ties that hold the rolled doors up aren’t quite long enough. We extended them with rubber bands and they’re fine now.
2) The tent retains moisture a lot. While we don’t have any active leaks that we know of, the condensation drips from the ceiling most of the time. It’s not a big deal to us, but it’s something to consider if you’re planning to have food or water-sensitive items in the tent. Venting it and leaving the doors open helps with the condensation.
3) We recommend removing the top cover during strong winds. We think it made the situation worse, as the winds were picking it up and shaking the tent violently at times.
To sum it up – we’re so very happy with this tent and Alvantor. The size is perfect (we’ve had 8 in it comfortably), it’s beautiful, it allows us to enjoy the “outdoors” a bit more, and it’s a wow factor in the backyard.
We highly recommend it!
My sister is a bird watcher and LOVES sitting out on her back porch watching the birds at her many feeders. She’s always sad when fall comes and it gets too cold to stay out. This year I got her this bubble Tent as a gift and she was able to stay snug and warm well into December! I got the 6×6 and it was big enough for her lounge chair stretched out and a side table!
One problem was quickly handled by their wonderful customer service. I couldn’t be happier!
We got this product in november in size 12×12 and I must say our whole family loves this. Set up was super easy but watch out and step back when opening because it does have some force. We set ours up to stay under our hard top gazebo on decking and it was perfect. We put 6 mil plastic sheeting from home depot down on the decking first to keep it dry and control drafts then our outdoor patio rug on top of the waterproof plastic. It has Plenty of room for patio furniture and use a Couple small portable heaters to kept it cozy and warm even in very low Temps. It also came with lots of options to secure it from blowing away and keeping snow off the top. Zippers and the plastic that its made of so far have held up very well. My only complaint was the flap that goes around the bottom of the tent that I think was to direct water away from the tent is not wide enough . Had it been more like 12inches instead of 2 inches it would of directed the water to go out further away from the tent instead of being able to come inside the tent . Making your floor plastic inside go up about 3 or 4 inches all around will help with this problem and also keep out the drafts. Overall would highly recommend !!.
Setup was quick. We took a video of it that will hopefully help when we take it down. If the sun is out, it warms up nicely without using the heater. When it was in the 30s outside, it was 75 degrees without heat inside! I recommend you buy the pole. We put it in when we knew we had snow coming, and it definitely saved it from collapsing. We also bought the tarp and the rain fly that’s available. We tucked the tarp inside and placed insulated door draft blockers around the edges, which kept the rain from coming in. Everyone loves it so far, even the dog will want to go out just to sit in it!
Have a gash on my chin and large bruise. This thing opens up quickly and the warning tag is placed at the bottom so you don’t see it until you have opened it.
Looks awesome
Right, so I haven’t got one of these and can’t afford one, long story. But wow I love the look in the photo reviews. Would be amazing to have in the garden.
A little hole but easy to patch
A amazing item love it easy to assemble unfortunately came with a small hole in the door we managed to patch seen above with patch provided but considering the cost I was upset by this amazon would have given a refund but we have a dinner party booked this weekend so no time to exchange but other that that would recommend we will be using it a lo
Heaven in a bubble
Its main purpose is as a wind shield. You can sit out in any weather and without the wind you can feel nice an warm in the sun, dry in the rain, or bird watch without them seeing you. It is wonderful, I highly recommend it. Do take it down in high winds though because the ropes with cause the seams to rip.
Brilliant quality
We got this dome to go over our hot tub. We love it, the plastic is a lot thicker than other domes we have seen. We had a cheaper dome in the past and it ripped in no time. It has some good top vents on the doors so you don’t have to have the doors unzipped to let air in. The dome is easy to put up, I can do it on my own and lift it over the hot tub.
The little tie straps that you use when you roll up the doors are a little bit short in my opinion and I have attached some elastic loops just for ease. (I don’t have a lot of patience though so if you were to roll the door tight they would probably be fine)
Well worth the extra money. We do feel the dome adds privacy when we are using the hot tub.
Very easy to set up
The first experience with the pod was excellent – we sat out under the stars and moon and it was glorious to have the wind blocked but still feel like you are outside.
So far so good lets see
So easy to put up im female 5ft 4 and did it on my own, stood back and let it pop up (luckly no black eyes) it was great, read the reviews before do I knew what to do. Just short of about 4 pegs for the guiders. Hopefully it will last fingers crossed.
Great for Covid Restrictions and Scottish Weather !
This came as an unexpected gift from our daughter, we love to sit outside but live on a windy hillside in Scotland. Straight out of the bag the ‘bubble’ was up in seconds, table and chairs moved in and christened with bubbly. Rather apprehensive about twisting it to pack it away but it folds back into its bag easily. This well designed tent has allowed us to spend much more time enjoying dining and socialising in the garden that we would have been able to do without its protection. It can get lovely and warm inside and makes such a difference on breezy days (obviously not used when it’s blowing a gale) Very happy with our bubble and it has really made a difference during Covid rest when we can only meet to socialise outside. It gives us shelter but we can open it up to allow a safe flow of air and distancing. Very happy with our gift. Expensive but great.
using as pod over above-ground 12ft 6ins swimming pool, fantastically warm - saving on electricity
Using to cover outdoor swimming pool, attractive pod, many compliments. It keeps the cold wind away, keeps the pool water clean, and keeps in the heat so we are saving on electricity. Pool temperature quickly up to 30 degrees already, (5 days after putting it all up) – has two zipped doors opposite each other, one to enter/exit, one to pass my resistance swim belt through, perfect. I am so thrilled with this product – so far. I hope it lasts this summer through. Will take it down for later autumn winter, and hopefully it will go again for next year. I will let you know.
have had lovely time out best thing got for garden
can used it in the rain good to put up good hot tubs
its fab
i bought the alvantor for some where to sit in evenings or when it went chilly its been a godsend with the virus i a thinking about buying a bigger one
This is a wonderful piece of kit especially in the current circumstances. We got it for my son’s 18th birthday. The boys really enjoyed having a place to drink and play video games in the garden.
It was a little bit of a struggle to set up by myself. Be very careful when you first open it because it springs open with a vengeance. Also when fitting the poles at the top fit the sides first without the middle joined so avoid poking the roof.
Be careful when leaving out overnight because it attracts a lot of condensation. I’m not sure if there is a way to improve this. Maybe a cover or tarp. Will report back when I find a solution.
That being said it is a wonderful looking, relatively easy to set up and pack away piece of kit. Definitely worth the investment.
Pop up gazebo tent.
Accurate descriptions, fast delivery, good value for money. Will recommend. Many thanks.
I was dubious about 400 on a pop up . However it’s BRILLIANT! I love it , The 4-6 person is probably best for a 4 with space , 6people IMO would be squashed .
I can easily pop and dismantle on my own . I have taken “my bubble ” ! To other peoples gardens and the park !! In good weather it just so lovely to sit in it in the evening ,look at night sky with a or even in the drizzle
I prefer not to keep the Bubble up as I want to keep it looking clean to maintain it for many years to come .
I hardly ever recommend stuff but this product deserves recommendations
Love this so much. It’s been invaluable for my daughter to b able in chill in with her friends it’s easy to put up and take down and I did it on my own without to much difficulty. It’s small to store we’ve had lots of comments from friends how good it is and it’s certainly been worth having for those cold rainy days when we can’t be inside.
Ever since we have been permitted to meet in the garden – the bubble gave us protection from the elements and has allowed us to meet friends. When cold, we just run a small fan heater from the house to the bubble. When the sun shines, it is ultra cosy! Great investment and will still get a lot of use after Monday 17th lockdown changes. Highly recommended.
The bubble tent is fabulous! I kind of wish I had bought the bigger one as everyone wants to come in and everyone is 9 of us!
We have been out in all weathers so far and it has withstood wind, rain and even hail! I was sceptical as we live on a hill which is always windy….but this is very sturdy. I am delighted.
Just for information (not a criticism) ….. in the full sun….you need a swimsuit! It’s hot like a sauna and it condenses with water when closed and in the sun. This soon clears though…. and its like having a portable conservatory. We have sat in it in the evening….watched the sunset and carried on late into the night.
It’s amazing
This is amazing. Delivery was really quick. I brought the 12ft bubble tent Really pleased with this! Thanks
Excellent quality and perfect for a variety of uses.
Sits beautifully over my hot tub, is a good size for a picnic shelter, may be used as a small meeting venue for outdoor sports – very versatile.
Love my ‘Bubble ‘. Bought this for our staycation as having cancelled our holiday abroad twice now with Covid restrictions. Love how easy this was to put up. Did pop up quite violently when out the bag but had read the reviews prior so was aware of this. Bought the 12×12 one and easily enough room for 6 of us and floor space for the little one to play. Great for sitting out in the evening watching the sun going down. Even when it has been quite chilly outside. Bought the shaped tarpaulin as sitting it on grass to prevent insects and the sun shade as in Scotland you can have every season all in a day. The top and 2 of the sides were quite creased on opening but after a day or 2 of it being up these ironed out. We have a small sofa, 2 chairs, table , 2 footstools, a rug and now( not in the photos) a small unit for decorative candle holders/hurricane lamps and storage. Still room for a play mat toys and a couple more chairs. Feel we have added an extra room to our house. Easily transportable folds into zipped bag which will fit in back of any car.
Just the job for a group.
Well impressed with this, on a still day you can put it up yourself!
Big we fitted 8 people in for dinner easily.
Good clear instructions attached to hold-all.
This tent is really easy to assemble and is great for being outside – inside. The temperature inside the tent is easily 10 degrees warmer than outside whenever the sun is out.
However we’ve had it less than two months and while we’ve been really careful with it, lots of little tears are starting to show. It’s still structurally sound, but especially around the door we use the most, it’s wearing very quickly. I’m sad because it’s a really great idea. We will patch up all the tears with clear Gorilla tape, but I fear more will appear. The door is designed to roll up, but that’s where most of the holes have appeared. Also, some of the creases in the transparent plastic that Alvantor said would improve have now begun to split.
Love it. Does exactly was it says it will do. Keeps off the wind, rain, flies and hugs and holds in the heat. Really toasty warm when the sun shines. My grandchildren love it. They can play outside in the fresh air all day long. There are some flaps at the top of each door which you can open to allow air to circulate so they don’t cook whilst inside
A must buy for hot tub
Amazing tent, perfect for hot tub, the steam adds to the experience, ventilation is easy by opening vents at top of door or zipping door open. Highly recommended.
Background:
We wanted a quick solution to a long term conservatory so I choose this buble tent, see through, for the evenings and late night star gazing from our decking. This is a fantastic solution, it’s clear, strong plastic, durable as we leave it on the decking for days, it works well in the rain as well. You will need to leave it our for a while for the plastic to stretch out to become clear to see through. I just added a small fan heater for the colder evenings, heat is reatained very pleasantly. It comes with all the basics you need to set up and enjoy. We also have afternoon tea and diner at time as the insects are kept out now.
Likes;
Strong durable plastic,
Easy to setup,
Cost of this tent vs similay solutions for such things makes it an easy winner.
Don’t like:
It is a rather large unit, I got the 8-10 person tent, when folded into the bag so a petite person would need some help.
Fab
I just like it, lovely place to sit in during day or night.
A must have !
Amazing Product ! Super easy to assemble and dissemble ( surprisingly ) and it so easy to dress with lights and flowers . We use a heater in ours and keep very warm ! Looks amazing and very impressive !
Easy to use.
Lovely item, if not so warm but sunny lovely to sit in but still see the garden. Easy to put up and even if it rains you can still sit outside. Lovely company to deal with prompt delivery would recommend.
This is a cracking gadget for sitting out on the lawn. It’s quite easy to put up, though the first time included a bit of head scratching. Warm inside when it’s cold and cool enough with the two doors up when the sun is shining. Well pegged down it rode out the recent gales easily. The 10×10 size is big enough for six people if they don’t want to spread themselves too much!
We love this!
It’s a very easy to put up pop up tent which is very spacious! We were unsure which size to buy at first as it’s hard to visualise so we went for 12×12 feet. It was a perfect size for social distancing undercover outside. As we’re currently in the pandemic and can meet in gardens, it is a great peace of mind knowing if it’s rains a little I can still have play dates with my toddler with another mum whilst staying safe. Wind can be a worry, but it does have sand bags provided of which I’ve filled each one with as much sand as it can hold! The guy lines give security also. It’s also easy to put down, easier with two people. So if wind is forecast it isn’t a problem to put down. Haven’t tried it in snowy weather yet but that could be fun! Looking forward to the evenings getting warmer and reading my son bedtime stories in there with a few blankets! I’m sure if this tent lasts there will be a lot of lying under the stars. It is nice to escape the house for a bit being in this tent. Also, we tried an electric heater in there with the doors zipped and it holds heat really well! My Bluetooth music speaker also hangs well inside the tent!
The perfect place to relax in a fabulous Alvantor Dome
Love my Alvantor Bubble Dome . My Alavntor 3m x 3 m is the perfect solution to give me extra space whether summer/ Winter . This Bubble Dome has a feel good factor we’re you can change it from a dining experience to having a gym workout or maybe a relaxing place in nature with 360 degrees views . Expensive maybe ‘ But great experience to have in your garden or to take it up into the country side for a picnic .
Does exactly what it says, pops up (a bit fast so watch out as it could take you out!) folds out easily and I could put it up on my own I’m a 5ft4″ small female! It’s a great size, looks amazing and you can use it for anything! Cozy garden meals, kids parties, sleepovers, a place to snuggle in front of a fire, hot tubs… I am really happy with my purchase and would highly recommend. Am yet to see what it’s like in the rain, but it does say don’t use in extreme weather so I wouldn’t bother putting it up if we were due a really wet spell of weather.
Alvantor bubble tent pop up gazebo 8/10 people ideal product for the garden . It’s used for the hot tub in raining days and also for when we going camping. Easy to assemble and taking down highly recommend well worth the money . Hele
The sand bags are not enough to hold it down when windy . You need to make provision to tie the guide ropes to . It keeps you dry when raining and enables us to eat outside in comfort .
We were looking for something for our garden, for when you are allowed people from other households to visit due to lockdown, when we came across the bubble tent. We only received it last week but couldn’t wait to put it up.
Very easy to put together as it literally does just pop up. There are sand bags on the inside aswell as ground pegs and guy ropes, so very stable.
We had a small fan heater on as it is cold on a evening, but during the day when it was sunny very cosy in there. There are 2 doors to open fully and think you will need them on a hot day. There are also vents on both doors if you just want some air. We absolutely love ours and friends already have placed orders on our recommendation.
Easy to assemble
My wife loves it, roll on warming weather and we can use it. Tested all ok
Many a day and evening have passed where my wife and I would have loved to have sat outdoors but the Easterly wind on good days have prevented, but not any more. I have always envisioned a bubble or igloo which would offer me all round vision plus offering us a wind break whilst sitting outdoors. Research showed up a good few but either pricing, size or dubious quality prevented a purchase. That is until we came across the name “ALVANTOR”. There was the picture, various sizes, the positive reviews, and a price which was comfortable to the pocket. The video showed how to erect it along with bringing it down again though I have to say it looked far too easy. But we bought one and its just great, just what we where looking for.
It came adequately packaged with the actual pop up bubble tent secured within its own circular bag, all very neat. The contents included more than enough stakes to secure it as well as guy ropes and six small bags be it for sand or pebbles to offer more weight for additional security. Carbon fiber poles to fit into sockets in the roof such that they finished off the contour of the roof. Looked simple enough as instructions are also tethered to the bag and tent.
Be careful as you remove the retaining straps, as with the tent in the figure of eight it wants to immediately leap out into its design shape. Once upright its a case of opening it up, one person can do it though two makes it easier, and it is easy to put up. Once opened up it stands and waits for you to secure it. I suggest the fitting of the roof poles first. I found it nigh on impossible to fit the poles into the designed recesses, far too much bending along with a fear of puncturing the see through framed plastic. I left one end of the pole disconnected, placed both ends into the recesses, then pushing upwards and outwards fitted the open ended part of the pole into its retaining sleeve, job done. When taking it apart the reverse is also good.
We have it on our wooden decking and its brilliant. 360deg’s. uninterrupted views of the countryside and the stars at night, all within the comfort of this great product.
Quality of workmanship is excellent as are the materials which it is made from. The plastic is of a good thickness not flimsy, whilst the stitching and zips are manufactured form top class heavy duty materials. I would honestly state that this product will last a good while if care is taken with it and its looked after.
If like my wife and I your looking for a clear bubble to enjoy summer days, and the odd evening watching the stars without the feel of a chill wind spoiling it. Thoroughly recommend i
Absolutely fantastic! Super quick shipping, easy set up. These tents are the perfect size for social bubbles or 8-10 people once covid restrictions start to ease! Great durability wind proof and comes with sandbags for extra stability. Would highly recommend 5 stars! Thank you Alvantor!
Brilliant item. Really easy to set up and pack away. Movie nights have just got better. We wasn’t unsure to spend the amount it was but it really is worth it. X
Brillia
Got my bubble dome I think it’s great struggled to put up at first but it should get easier really impressed.
Great pop up dome
Great dome, so so easy to pop up and down. Durable and easy to clean. The sandbags do not hold it down if it is on a patio so trying to find a solution for that. Very happy with this purchase.
I liked this product as it was easy to use just took 10 minutes to assemble and sturdy. I used it inside for a couple to have an special intimate dinner however it did come with accessories and is waterproof so it can be used outside.
Very easy to put up
Strong
I used it in the winter to cover my hot tub
The vented windows above the door good to let out condensation
Best thing I have purchased
Delightful spa bubble
We really liked this item unfortunately we had a slight problem with it alvantor sorted this right away, we use it for our spa which is brillia
This is amazing. Delivery was really quick. I brought the 12ft bubble tent and I got a table and a blow up sofa in it. Really pleased with this!
This pod is perfect for sitting in the garden but not open to the elements. Does get condensation on inside with cold weather but wipe a bit of shaving foam on inside and works well.
Absolutely love our Pod, it’s easy to assemble as it just unfolds and great quality too!!
I love my igloo. Apart from the fact that as I undid the elastic the whole thing unfurled and smacked me in the face. I had a bruise for a week!
It was easy to put up in my garden. The 3 rods for the top were a bit difficult but manageable. I love sitting in there with a cup of tea, watching the birds. I still need to wrap up but it takes the chill out of the air. When the sun comes out it’s so warm in there. I’ve discovered that a small animal must have gnawed through the lining at the bottom so I have a small chewed hole in it now. We’ve had some strong winds lately but the sand ballast and the guy ropes have kept it in position. I love it.
This is great, huge inside, so robust and durable. Really easy to set up, super warm and only needs a small heater. Postage was quick and well packaged. Looking forward to lockdown in the garden A++++++
UPDATE: customer service came through for me. They asked for extra pictures to see exactly what the problem was, and quickly said they would send me a replacement tent. And they did! I just arrived.
ORIGINAL REVIEW
I just finished putting up the 10 foot version of this tent. Let’s just say it is not as easy as they make it look in the videos.
I installed it on my deck, so securing the tent was tricky, and the bottom of the panels don’t stay put as well as I imagine they would if placed on the ground. They keep curving inward.
The tent does come with several decent tie down options – tabs with grommets for tent stakes (and 12 stakes), hooks for sand bags (and 6 sand bags) and guy wires (6 at 12 inches from the bottom and 6 at about 6 feet high).
The hardest part was getting the roof supports installed. You have to work carefully and have the angle just right for them to slide into place. Tip: start at about a 75 degree angle from the horizontal then shimmy it slowly upwards, adjusting the rod in the pocket as you go, until it is at the top of the tent ceiling. But as you do so, there is a lot of side pressure on the seams of the rod pocket. I ended up with a punctured tent panel because the rod pocket split at the seam and the pressure on the rod sent it shooting right through the PVC panel! Two of the rods went into place just fine, so I think it may have just been a weak seam on the one pocket. I have written to customer service to see what they plan to do about the problem and will post an update.
Also, there are many ventilation holes above each of the two doors and there are two flaps that can allegedly be attached with Velcro to cover the ventilation holes, but I have yet to get the Velcro to attach because the other side of the Velcro strip is buried behind the support rods that surround each panel and I can’t get to them. The Velcro really should be on the inside, and I might try to rig that up with some Velcro tape.
There are two double zippered entry doors, positioned on opposite panels (there are 6 panels in all). One zipper works well but the other catches and is hard to zip and unzip at several spots and I worry about the durability.
So far I am not satisfied with the tent, particularly given the price, but I may change my tune once I use it a few times. And I’m waiting to see what customer service has to say about the split seam and hole in the plastic panel.
