It charges devices well, and quite easy to fit into my pockets, though I have quite large pockets so might be a problem for regular sized pockets. I have two phones so using this on the go has been a life saver. Highly recommend. Just be aware this is not fast charging so it does take a while to get your device up to 100%.
So far so good. Battery pack has lasted almost a week which I was very surprised about.
Quick charge feature is great as well.
Slightly heavy but doesn’t bother me to be honest. I still carry it around in my pocket.
Worth its weight in gold. I have an iPhone and the battery life isn’t great so this battery pack keeps my battery topped up.
Got this to charge my phone and works ipad.
my phone charges well with the (Samsung S10e) and it does charge the ipad too but it does take time and the ipad does use a lot of the power bank up.
it does last a good amount of time. Great if you are spending a couple of days away at a festival or camping.
I keep mine in my work bag as I don’t always have a place to charge up my phone etc.
It’s not to heavy either, it’s about the same size as my phone and about double the thickness of my phone.
Easy to use, has both micro and c usb slots for charging. same size as my mobile so no problems. has enough charge for my phone, tablet and bose bluetooth headphones with two lights still avalable. great price as i think there is a newer version out.
Have a few anker products car 12v adapter, multi charging adapters and some cables. All are of excellent quality, I look for this brand above other suppliers which might be a bit cheaper.
Minor niggle is that only micro cable is provided.
The battery lasts a long time and charges my S10+ and iPhone 12 Pro Max very quickly.
It doesn’t heat up too much and is pretty thin and light weight, especially for being 2000MAH.
Only downside is it can take a whole day to charge to full but to be expected for a large power bank.
PS. It comes with a nice cove
Excellent piece of kit up to Ankers usual standard. Packs lots of power, though best to charge with a beefier mains unit as takes ages with apple iPhone charger. Nice to see usb-c input. But would be nicer still to have built in lightening or usb-c output.
Bought this to use as an external power source for the Oculus Quest 2.
The battery life is brilliant, takes a while to charge initially but that’s due to the high capacity of the power bank itself.
It’s light enough that it fits in your pocket securely!
I have used many Anker products all of which have been good quality and this seems to be the same. I have only had it for a couple of weeks but it seems to do what its supposed to do. I don’t foresee any problems. Anker products are usually good. My only concern is that it is larger than my phone.
Really good. Charges my iphone 6-7 times, and much faster than plugging it into the wall. The net-bag it comes with is great as well as I can put the charging cable for my phone in it. The only slight downside is that the battery itself takes about a day and a half to charge fully, but considering how much battery it holds, that makes sense.
These little battery packs from Anker are really good; I have two now and both hold a good charge which will recharge a phone multiple times before it needs recharging. They are ideal for travelling and once charged they have a decent battery life. *Recommended Purchase*
I’m one of those people who has to be constantly charging their phone and having had an Anker powerbank previously snapped this up on a lightning deal. We’ve just been on holiday and took this out every day- once charged it holds for a good while and devices don’t drain it. It’s a good solid size and weight but I don’t find that an issue- highly recommended
Always been with Anker, never had a problem with any product and the reputation persists with this power bank.
My only dislike is charging time and the weird plastic crosshatch/file finish on the top. I hate touching it as it feels like a file and it makes noises that make my teeth cringe. I keep it in the included pouch but even with that it slides around inside.
Very pleased with the build quality and styling of this and it is very easy to use with all the connections you need and a simple 4-dot readout for how much charge is left.
But as others have mentioned, it is not quite the 20,000mAh capacity you might expect. It’s probably a single lithium cell with a 20,000 capacity, but because lithium cells are nominally around 3.6v, and a usb output is nominally 5v, the voltage is stepped up inside the power bank and the effective capacity is reduced. But it is still around 14,000mAh at 5V (see readout in my photo from running a USB lamp).
As a “70Wh” power bank, it’s a good product.
One of the best if not the best power bank in market, Anker is doing excellent job in everything they make, kudos to Anker and all of it’s product, since buying first portable speaker never looked back. I highly recommend this power bank for very long lasting performance! Better to charge with fast charger, as it holds lot of charge it take time to charge with slow charger, but with fast charger it will pretty fast. Can’t fault this product in any way!
I’ve already got an older version of this which I’d bought about 5 years ago (and it’s still going strong) and had recently bought this for a family member who has also found it to be a very useful portable power source if you’re out most of the day and have something that needs a quick recharge. You can charge a couple of items at once as it has more than one USB socket too. Recharging the battery pack will take a day or so, unless you’ve got a higher amp plug (Anker also sell these)
I had been in the process of requesting a refund because the thing took about 30+ hours to charge up, despite my using various cables and chargers. However, after four or five charging attempts, it actually dramatically improved – to the point that I am now giving it five stars. I have no idea as to the physics involved, but I would have no hesitation in recommending this power bank. PS: Capabable of charging an iPhone 11 pro : 4 times. It automatically shuts down when the phone is fully charged, and the LED display system indicating remaining capacity is reliable and useful.
Really happy with this product everything about it is great only things I would change would have it come with a USB type-C cable instead of micro-usb and have the two USB ports on the device slightly more spaced apart so that devices that have a bigger usb plug can be charged without covering/blocking the other USB port thought this is only a problem on the usb charger for one of my drones battery chargers as the usb plug is surrounded by a massive amount of plastic for some reason but that’s not the fault of the Battery Bank that’s the drones fault.
Overall great product would definitely recommend!
Wow I’m so happy with this charger it lasts forever has charged my Huawei p20 lite 3 times so far & still as full charge on the battery charger just what I needed I highly recommend this item comes with a USB charging cable & a nifty little bag to carry it in Anker really are the bes
Holds a heck of a lot of power, takes an equally long time to charge.
Choice of ports is great.
Protective mesh is really good and unexpected.
I use this with the UGreen brand case on amazon (pictured), fits perfectly and can fit whilst charging device ie my mobile broadband on the move.
A point to note:
The size with cable plugged in is 19.5cm.
wouldn’t use any other, this is the best power block, it holds its battery for so long, it lasts days I charge it up and can use it so many times before it runs out, definitely worth every penny and lasts for years too. wouldn’t use any other portable charger. its big but not too big that it cant fit into a small shoulder bag, or coat pocket which I love, and isn’t too heavy either so ideal for festivals or just days out.
I’ve used Anker power banks for years now. I’ve always found them reliable and very handy to have. Yes, I have had a couple of duds, yes I have had to replace them, but hey, I can say the same about my socks. Anker have been in the game a long time now, they know what they’re doing and I wouldn’t get any other brand.
Really sturdy well made power bank. A little heavier than my old one but that’s not a bad thing in a bank this size. It’s almost the exact size as my Huawei P30 just a little thicker. Takes a while to charge initially but most power banks are like that so to be expected. Perfect when out and about.
I use this for work to keep my mobile and iPad charged up. It does the job! These high capacity battery packs are so much better than the ones of a few years ago because you can trust these to hold their power and to charge your device multiple times when. You need it.
If you’re in need of a powerbank to keep all your gadgets charged then I’d highly recommend this one. Great battery life and can charge a Samsung note 20 upto 5 times before it dies.
I use it mostly for work as sometimes I don’t have access to a plug socket. Easily charges my phone quickly and efficiently, three or four times before the power starts to get low. Also great to keep in the car in case your battery fails whilst out and about. Would be very handy for travelling too, if these muppets in government ever decide to allow us out of the country again!
Does the job at charging pretty much anything, good battery life and power output. Works for my Quest 2 as well, but unfortunately the Quest 2 is power hungry and still loses power even when plugged into this. Not sure if it’s the Quest just being inefficient on power our this being unable to give enough power output, it does slow the rate at which the Quest discharges though while in use.
I have had this powerbank for over a year. Not had a single issue with it. And if I have I know that Anker customer service will be there to help.
It holds charge well. It holds a lot of charge. It can charge a Samsung S10 quickly and many times. It’s a bit heavy but that is expected. It takes a while to charge but that is expected due to capacity. I wish it could charge whilst plugged in but unfortunately it cannot be charging and also charge a phone. USB C helps too
Pros
1) Good amount of charge and power in this thing
2) Good build quality and doesn’t feel as though it’ll break
3) USB C is convenient for charging it and easily copes charging 2 things at once
Cons
1) Quite heavy but expected
2) Can’t charge at the same time as charging another device
Nice size, 2 full size USB ports to charge devices and 2 input ports for recharging the bank (one USB c and the other is micro usb). Pretty sturdy although I’ve not dropped it. No rattly or hollow sounding areas and feels solid in general. Slow to recharge unless you have a high watt USB c charger. Paid 27-32 pounds and happy with the cost.
The only issue i have found is that the bank stops powering low draw items after a while for example Christmas led string lights have a really low power draw so even when you set the bank to the low output mode it still cuts off power after a while (would have been great if it didn’t do this as it would probably power such led lights for ages) still not a big deal overall though.
Edit: Anker customer service contacted me following below review and replaced my charger immediately. No problem with the new one at all.
Only had it a month and doesn’t charge fully – wouldn’t recommend
Bought to replace a much loved used but worn out earlier version. I love this charger! I can charge my phone at least 4 times before I need to recharge it – totally portable and ideal for travelling and all those times when you cant access a plug. I use this for most of my charging needs as you dont need to be tied to a plug whilst you wait for it to work. Slimline and easy to slip into a bag and simple to use – just plug and go. Lights on the on/off switch indicate the remaining charge.
Not much to say about this as its a power bank. Nothing fancy just charge it up and then I can charge my iPhone XR about 4-5 times on each charge. I have used it to charge cameras too which is great when out and about and you need a boost of charge.
Its a powerbank that does the job and its housed in a sturdy casing. There are a lot of less well known name brands on Amazon but I have a number of Anker devices and never had issue with them. They are nicely packaged with clear instructions.
This particular product was working fine since I bought it last year and then it developed a issue where some leads would not work with one of the USB outputs. Any lead that didn’t work on that problematic port worked fine on the other port and not every lead I tried was a problem. However I contacted Anker through their website and corresponded with Sophia who immediately dispatched a replacement unit. Friendly and no quibble customer service. I know I have left 5 stars for a product I had issue with but kudos to the customer service resolving the issue.
I have headphones, leads and powerbanks by Anker and its honestly one of the makes I go to on Amazon for some of the accessories I need. This experience only reinforced that mindset.
Although I prefer the older design with the side button and linear charge indicator, this is a great power bank with lots of capacity. I do like the USB C charging as it means you can fully charge ready for the next day.
Purchased this for my eldest daughter as she’s always running low on phone battery. She can take this to school in her bag and simply top up when necessary. Gives me peace of mind knowing if she need the phone she’ll always have charge… Just gotta hope she remembers to charge this too!!!
Purchased before a camping trip last summer. Nicely packaged and feels like a quality product. The weight and smooth finish to the plastic casing can make it awkward to pick up…..you have to have to have one to understand what I mean.
It does what it says on the tin….charges small (comparable) electronic devices. You can’t charge the PowerCore and charge something connected to the PowerCore at the same time. Low power mode for very small devices (like ear pods) useful feature. Can be quite slow to charge the PowerCore battery, but that’s because of its large capacity I guess.
The product I purchased in July 2020 lasted until January 2021 (6 months) then it would not charge anything or accept a charge itself, no LED illumination – it had given up.
Contacted customer service, logged a warranty claim and explained the problem. Within 2 days a new one was delivered that is working fine, we’ll see how long this one lasts. Sophia at Anker customer services was very helpful and responsive to emails. She followed up on things 2 weeks later to see if everything was ok.
Hopefully it was an unfortunate defective product in the first instance (which happens).
Anker produce great quality accessories and this is no different. Charges an IPhone 12 Max up to three times per charge. It is slightly heavy but that’s what you’d expect with the giant capacity battery you get for your money. I’m going to use it for multi-day music festivals (whenever the pandemic is mostly over) so it would be great for that.
Works perfectly, I use it mostly at home and for long travel. It takes awhile to charge fully, maybe 6-8 hours for me (I just leave it overnight). But it lasts a week or two with everyday use. My phone battery is poor so I have to charge my phone several times a day and this powerbank is honestly a life-savior.
But important to know, it’s quite heavy because it stores so much charge. So if you are looking for a light and not that powerful one maybe it’s not for you. For me it’s perfect because I can walk around the house with my phone while it’s charging.
What’s not to like!
It’s a nice solid unit, not too heavy, charges phone/tablet quite quickly. Very versatile.
Have now brought smaller ones for the children’s devices when we travel.
Great power bank I would highly recommend, esp for the price!
I have been wanting one of these for ages and finally decided to get this one. It is fairly heavy but feels good quality. Charges really quickly and multiple times. I leave it to charge over night and its ready for me. Another use for it is that I use it to power a light board and it’s powered it for 3 days now (10 hours use a day) with no top ups! Highly recommend.
This has proven a great product which I use regularly with a motorised camera dolly and action camera for long exposure shots that exceed the battery life of the camera and dolly. I like that it’s a nice durable case and has allowed for a bit of abuse from me.
My only criticism of this pack is it’s very slow to recharge to full (75% to full takes me over 4 hours using a high powered Anker IQ main charger)
Love the Anker power banks I have bought different ones over last couple for years for myself and family members. Never had any problems with any of them. I like the slim look not to heavy plus the bag it comes with is a nice added extra. Have dropped many times from waist height with no problems. They charged my I-Phone fast as I use my I-Phone all day long plus other devices. Have taken them on many camping and holidays trips and have been lifesavers on trips. Well Worth the Price 10/10
If my tablet is low on charge I can revive it quickly anywhere and carry on. With two input sockets there is more choice of cable. Two outputs is generous . My grumbles are few, the most worrying is that this Anker sometimes needs to be persuaded to start charging, usually by turning the tablet off before plugging the charger into it. It is a pity that the instructions are so minimal, some more words would be helpful.
oo early to tell but after a few weeks its solid and charges my phone and tablet. get a 3 charges for my Samsung s10+, over the space of 2 weeks. so i assume the battery loses charge when idle. it comes with a thin bag. doesn’t stop it getting damaged in a fall, but does stop the charger slipping out of hands and pockets [closing the noose]. indicator button is handy. i would recommend buying one with wireless charging as well, as its a little bit of a pain carrying a cable as well.
I’ve had a million different battery packs until I stuck with the older model of this anker battery pack. Finally replaced after dropping it too many times and using it almost daily for 3 and a half years. Two things to note, first it’s not done dainty thing that will fit in your clutch bag, it’s heavy duty stuff but to be fair it’s a lot more size efficient compared to other battery packs with the same capacity. Secondly, if you use the typical usb wall plug then expect it to take 12 hours to hit full capacity. Definitely invest in at least a 2a wall plug so it’ll be fully charged when you wake up.
This battery pack comes everywhere with me, literally everywhere, every holiday, every night out, every weekend trip. I became the go to person at uni when someone’s phone was dying. Even on an international trip on a drunken night ou
I purchased this in need of having a backup power supply when I’m not able to reach for a plug on my travels around the country and this came in very useful for me! Before the power bank even died, it was able to charge my iPhone 11 Pro 3 times before being fully depleted which is very impressive for the price.
Only downside to this powerbank is the material used on the top is very prone to scratches, which doesn’t affect the performance of the product so not really a bad thing in the long run.
I recommend anyone in need of a power bank looks no further than this.
It has a lot of charge, which is fantastic. Leaves you worry free about keeping your phone powered on a long journey, gone are the days of stressing about where you can a power socket!
The power bank is quite heavy, but it makes it feel high-quality too. It is very portable and can charge multiple phones as well.. easily.
Love this charging brick. I have used anker products for years and my last anker charging brick accompanied me on my year of travel last year but unfortunately after using this constantly for a whole year, I needed a new one when arriving home. I was sent a faulty power pack but within a week of contact the support at anker, I was sent a replacement under their warranty. scheme. I. am so impressed with their customer service. The charging brick is great and lasts for around 7 iphone charges. I take it everywhere with me. i would definitely recommend this brand, especially anyone looking for a power bank to take on their travels.
I’ve had 4 power banks so far, all between 2000 and 10000 mha and they were all useless, not worth spending the time charging and carring around. This one is a game changer, finally something I can rely on for a few stable charges to the point I use it at home so I’m not “tied” to a socket. Takes a long time to charge the power bank itself but it’s fine if you do it overnight. Type C charging and 2x USB ports are a must now a days so good product.
Now I’ve given this 5 stars for battery life. Although I don’t know yet. I never expected it to be a house brick it’s very heavy and large. I suppose you could put it in a tractor and have that carry it for you lol but the worst thing about this is the user manual. You might as well get a peace of toilet roll for a manual for all the good it does. The size and weight of this thing it should have a good battery life. To be fair you could probably start ya car with i
I have a few of the older ones but this really surprised me
A lot smaller and lighter, its a Christmas present but with Anker it’s a brand you know you can trust.
Great products, great prices, great customer service!
Value is in the name. Don’t look further, if you buy Anker products, you will be satisfied for years to come. This powerbank gives you the power mentioned instead of the other power banks that claims but dont deliver and I am guilty of buying the cheap power banks that claims same power but then you get disappointed. So, dont waste your money buying other cheap products and spend few extra quid and guaranteed satisfaction.
This was an upgrade from my previous trust Anker power bank. Twice the capacity and not much bigger. It copes much better charging faster. Now I can have power all week in one place for my phone. Great quality product.
Had it only for a few weeks now and I’ve carried this power bank in my messenger bag otherwise it is not something I would carry in my pockets. Too big for that. I’ve used it to charge my phone, my kindle and my wireless headphones. Would definitely recommend.
I bought this PowerCore for camping trips and long days out geocaching, which drains my phone battery. The initial purchase didn’t seem to work and after posting a question on the Amazon website and receiving some useful responses I decided to contact Anker to make sure I was using the product correctly. Anker responded swiftly and after a couple of email exchanges they confirmed that the product was faulty and arranged a replacement from Amazon, which was with me within a coupe of days and worked perfectly. This situation can so easily turn into a nightmare when companies do not respond to queries, especially in lockdown but this worked out perfectly. Thank you Anker for your great customer service.
I’ve got the P….I’ve got the power, I’ve got the P….I’ve got the power, I’ve got the P….I’ve got the power, we got the power!
Would recommend
My aging S7 phone could be renewed but I don’t miss the features that I have never had so only the gradually shrinking battery life is a problem. I thought I would fix it with a better powerpack as the one I had could barely charge the phone once and if the GPS was on and the display some of the time, it might not even see a significant increase in the battery level.
Switching in this unit, my S7 charged over a third in half an hour with GPS on but no display so a fair improvement on the unit it was replacing. Best of all, the powerpack is still pretty much full so I am confident it will give me a few days use which is lucky as the initial charge time was 10h or so with the slow usb charger I was using.
So I dodn’t get all the new high power charging modes but if I get a new phone, I wont need it for a while.
Another high quality Anker battery, bought at a good price, under 30. This wasn’t as heavy as previous batteries of this capacity which made me wonder if it had the advertised power, but it still charges my iPhone 4-5 times. So all seems good, if a little bulky. Well made, would buy again.
I recently took this with me for a week long camping trip in Yorkshire. Despite the cold temperatures overnight, I was able to recharge my phone and action camera batteries several times. I’m really impressed with how quickly it recharges a smartphone – I’d swear it’s quicker than the wall socket at home. After arriving home beyond the end of that trip, I was still able to get several more charges from this device before it needed a full recharge.
Really impressed so far. Recommended. I hope this level of performance continues. I own a smaller Anker powerbank that has never let me down.
Fantastic power bank, holds enough charge for many recharges of my phone. Seems to retain charge well when unused for a period of time too. Only downside is its fairly large and heavy can’t get around that of you want this much capacity. Good price.
I have a Samsung A5 which is a old smartphone a Amazon Fire Tablet and a GoPro Hero 7 Black, I have charged ALL these items multiple times and I still have 2 lights glowing showing I have only used half the charge in the Powerbank. This has more than met my expectations for it’s power, however longevity is something I can’t comment on at this time. I really hope this can stand the test of time because it’s a awesome model.
This Anker power bank is very good for long trips away from electricity for mobile devices. I like how it can charge up to 2 devices at once. My only downside, is that I find the usb c charging (in to the powerbank) doesn’t work very well, but the micro usb does. However, it can take over 10 hours to get a full charge.
Anker Power Banks are simply amazing and they just keep getting bigger. This model features dual input USB-C and Micro-USB charging sockets plus dual USB output sockets. Obviously you can only recharge the Power Bank via one source but you can recharge two devices simultaneously. Discrete power meter with single push (to hold) button switches to trickle charge, great for smart watches / fitbits.
So firstly this product is getting 4 stars for 2 reasons, it does not support fast charge output to phones only standard charge speed.
Secondly the instructions are basically useless they dont offer any information which isnt obvious.
They should explain things such as; what the green light means when you hold the button down?, what sort of charge speed availabe?, should you use a usb-c cable on the the output side?
The product seems of good quality but these issues have really stopped me from giving it 5 stars.
I’ve had a 20,000mah battery pack for years as im lazy and often don’t want to charge up a powerbank after every single use. My old one was heavy, thick, and slow to charge but this is a whole lot better. I was surprised at how small and conveniently sized it was, and it was a lot lighter. Its charges fast too. I got this to use with an ipad pro that i now use as a macbook replacement. I use this powerbank in lectures and its perfec
Amazing little power bank. I managed to charge my phone, Apple Watch and AirPods fully and it’s still on 4/4 lights. I like that I don’t have to charge it again and again for my daily use. I only find myself charging it once a week now. I like that I can charge with USB C or with Micro usb. It’s not too heavy and comes with a storage bag that I keep my spare cables In. Over all it’s the best power bank for the price that I have ever owned.
Great product, I have Samsung s9, its about same size just a little thicker, it comes with mesh type carry case, fast charges my phone fully 5 times, may take a little longer and more battery if you get sucked into tictoc land or the likes while charging. Charge using usb cable provided which takes a few hrs, I charge overnight.
Had an older power bank from another company that unfortunately broke after a few years of use. Decided to buy this as a replacement, it has the same charge capacity, is slightly smaller in size, looks great and has a usb c charging port which is very useful. Charged it up using my phone charger after it arrived, and it took 5-6 hours to charge fully from half way up. Overall. Very happy with it so far.
I’ve gone through many power banks in the last few years of varying brands, Juice mainly. All of them have let me down, the charging port broke or they just wouldn’t turn on anymore.
I bought this in January 2020 as I did some research and almost everyone recommended Anker as the superior brand for your charging needs. I bought this one for myself and the smaller version for my mum and they are just a class above any other portable charger. For context, either me or my girlfriend use this charger every single day. It gets absolutely rinsed and we only need to charge it every 4-5 days.
– Absolute steal at 30
– robust, I’ve dropped it many times and it doesn’t show any signs of slowing down
– multiple full phone charges
– great gift for any one who uses their phone a lot, travels a lot or goes to festivals
The only potential downside I can think of is that it’s pretty large, about the same size as as my phone, a bit thicker and much heavier but unless you really needed to restrict weight in a bag or only had a room for a very small power bank, I don’t think this would be an issue.
As per instructions on the Amazon listing, (it doesn’t say in the box instructions). You need to charge the power bank for at least ’10 HOURS’ fully before using.
After it’s fully charged, really easy to charge your devices. Blue LED lights display the power remaining.
For a power bank, it charges my iPad mini and iPhone rather fast for being portable.
I am very happy with this product!!
I’ve only use it a few times just yet but it’s been great. I had a problem at first charging it and had to contact the company they answered within one hour or less and the problem was in my wall charger, but they were very keen to help me and replace it. I’m really happy with the service and the quality of the equipment. And grateful for the outstanding service provided when needed.
Lasts many charges over – my phone is essentially a landline as it doesn’t hold charge well anymore, so I always have this in my backpack when out and about listening to music.
Takes a while to charge but I leave it on overnight.
Massive bonus is that it can be charged by both USB C and micro USB so you don’t have to have 2 cables for i
Well made charger. Good quality plastic.
Simple to use.
Nice size slightly bigger than a Samsung S7 twice as thick..
Battery life is as expected.
To charge the battery takes around 10 hrs..
Doesn’t charge my phone as quickly as a fast charge plug though. Not far off..
I do like it. Would recommend.
This is a great power bank, I originally had the Anker Astro E1 but was looking for something packing a bit more of a punch and would be capable of charging more devices – which this definitely delivers!
Note: I originally ordered the Anker PowerCore 20100 but returned it as it lacks the fast charge facility.
First Impressions: This is well made, I like the matte finish which doesn’t then get scratches, it comes in a handy protective bag
Pros:
– Massive benefit is the USB-C facility which enables fast charging and is done overnight.
– You can charge 2 devices at the same time so you don’t have to prioritise devices
– Its capable of charging a Nintendo Switch (although slowly!)
– The LED lights give you a simple way of reading battery in 25% increments
– This is just below the maximum size you’re allowed on a plane
Cons:
– No completely accurate power bar
Verdict: Great buy, packs a punch and has fast charging which a lot of competition don’t – I would highly recommend!
Great power bank. Took awhile to fully charge. Once this was completed, it charged by iphone11 faster than any Apple usb/phone plug in charger into the mains supply. Good quality charger, albeit a little heavy & expensive, reliable with a great reputation. This product was recommended to me & I haven’t been disappointed. Would definitely recommend this item.
So I decided to get this power bank due to some upcoming travel where it’s likely I will be away from a power source for several days. Having previously owned a smaller Anker power bank I knew the quality to expect however this is an improvement on that.
In the package you get the charger, a micro usb cable and the protective pouch. Having two outputs allow charging of multiple devices at once (phone & headphones) along with a choice of input. With current tech moving towards USB C it was nice to see a port on the device it’s just a shame it is input only as it could have reduced the amount of cables I carry even further.
It has a rough texture on the top surface which provides some grip to prevent it from slipping out your hand.
We have had a few of these things but bought this one because we were off on holiday and wanted something for my wifes heated jacket (Colorado in the ski season) Pleasantly surprised that it would charge three phones and a tablet yet still have lots of juice remaining but more importantly charge all those devices much quicker than if they were plugged into the mains. An excellent value for money purchase that exceeded expectations.
This PowerCore Essential 20000 comes with a nice protective mesh style carry pouch and a 60cm USB A to Micro cable.
You will need to provide your own wall charger, I use the phone charger that came with my Samsung Galaxy S10+
What’s handy about this model, is that it accepts either USB Micro or USB C for charging the power bank. This means I only need to carrry a single cable with me as my phone also uses a USB C to charge.
Simple but perfect, the single button on the unit is pressed to show the current charge state of the power bank, in LED form. 4 LEDs on the button itself light up to show you an estimated capacity in increments of 25%, so 1 LED is 25% charge remaining, 4 LEDs the power bank is fully charged to 100%.
That’s all you need to know about this product to be honest. It will last you for years without any issues.
I love Anker products, this is my 4th Powerbank from them and no, that’s not because they keep breaking… it’s because the ones I have keep getting snatched by family members, they’re that good.
I bought my first Anker PowerCore 16000 in 2015 and it’s still in daily use to this day (by my wife… that’s why I’ve bought this one)
When it comes to power banks and charging cables, Anker is the only brand I consider.
This is such a robust power bank, top quality, it was way better than I expected. The battery life is amazing and I can charge my phone up to 4 times from empty to full before I have to recharge the powerbank. It is portable, and comes with a handy carry pouch, its not too heavy or bulky but just right. Definitely worth every penny. I highly recommend.
I needed a beefy powerbank to run my 1010Music Blackbox sampler/groovebox, the blackbox can also host a USB controller (Novation Launch Control XL MkII in my case) and it’ provides enough power to do that without any issues at all as well.
Running the Blackbox for 6hrs – 8hrs uses about 1 quarter of the charge so that is brilliant, it can easily get around 3 or 4 days use off a single charge judging by the power level indicators on the powerbank.
Quick points…
1) quite big, but probably just about fit in pocket
2) I have a OnePlus 6 phone, and these phones are know to be one of, if not, the fastest charging phones on the planet, so require powerful chargers. But this power bank chargers my phone really fast (I’d like to say 2/3 the speed of the wall charger.
3) Easily charge my phone 3 times over from 0%-100%
4) Has 2 fast USB charging ports (I believe 3.0?) And also has 2 ways of charging the bank, via standard micro USB, or c-type. But they are for charging the bank only.
It has such a nice feel to it and a really nice fine crisscross design on the top which gives it a nice textured feel.
Nice and sleek button and light design.
I’ve purchased 3 Anker power banks and they’re all really nice quality build, look and feel, as well as great charging speeds. There’s not much out there that charges my OnePlus phones, but Anker always deliver performance and quality.
I would recommend…don’t be left without a charger like those in the YouTube adds, buy one of these. Life saver for me
This battery pack does exactly what I required to combat my 1 year old iPhone 6s failing battery charge.
It holds the charge well & has two standard size USB outlets to charge 2 units simultaneously.
Only downside, is the weight of this robust pack, especially if one carries it in ones pocket!
Conclusion: Excellent.
I bought this power bank as I travel frequently for business and often find myself running out of battery! Whilst it takes time to charge (overnight), I’ve used this x3times to full capacity and it’s been a great addition to my core travel pack items. It’s a tad heavy for my handbag, so I’m considering buying a smaller / more lightweight charger for day trips. Also would have been good for this to have w wireless charge option too! Guess you can’t have everything!
I bought this as I lost my power core 20100n which I absolutely loved! the battery pack itself feels quality and the charging to both input and output is okay. Takes a while to charge the powerbank but its a big battery so its to be expected. I did get 2 faulty batteries, both the original and a replacement that Anker kindly sent out without any fuss but the third works great (I don’t know if I am just really unlucky or if its a fault. But with the ease that Anker dealt with me I am happy now I have a working device). Still comes with the fabric carry pouch which is a nice touch for keeping a micro USB and a USB C cable with the Powerbank so I have them when I need them. My phone has a terrible battery life so have gotten plenty of charges fairly quickly out of the PowerCore, its relatively small considering the amount of charge it holds so all in all I am really happy. I would highly recommend now I have a working device and hope that I was just unlucky having the initial fault units.
Very happy indeed with this one – I have the previous fat and glossy version also, and this new flatter/slimmer, more textured style is very nice.
First time I have ever said this with a peice of tech, but I occasionally wish the LEDs were a little bigger/brighter – they’re much smaller than on the previous style and require a little closer attention when checking the power level.
Bought to replace my old Anker charger that has served me well but is now fading a bit.
I like the new rugged feel design. Takes a while to charge but once it’s full it certainly delivers many charges to my phone.
The lights showing how much charge it has works well and hope they keep working as one bulb failed on my old one.
So far great performance… Well happy
Update to say performance is so good I’ve bought a second one
I bought this for my boyfriend who only asked for a powerful powerbank and this has exceeded his expectations with battery life for 2 devices at once. He has only charged once since he first used it and not ran out yet. He is using it to charge his phone when at work during the week. Although a bit heavy, it’s irrelevant when carried in a rucksack or similar. It charged very quickly too. A must buy for anyone needing a huge battery life and has more than one devices.
As I travel a lot for work and can’t rely on always having power sockets to plug into i need a decent power bank. I looked around and compared loads of reviews and went for this one. I am really happy with it, it holds a massive charge and has been really helpful on a couple of trips already as I can change a couple of devices at a time.
Great quality charger. Bought it for a reduced price and think it’s worth the money. Does about 4 full charges and isn’t too heavy to carry around. I imagine it’ll last a while. Would recommend and buy again.
Ultralight hikers please note – the weight of this power bank as stated in the Amazon advert above (280 or 281g) is incorrect. The bare item weight is 340g (and, with cable and bag, is 360g). Since the relatively low weight was was of the criteria for choosing this one rather than other models this is a tiny bit frustrating (after wasting an hour researching weight vs capacity of different models available). But otherwise it looks good and should do the job (just another 60-80g in the backpack…)
I wanted a powerbank that I could trust actually had the advertisedd capacity. So, I was not interested in any cheap asian units. I chose ANKER on reputation and because they are European and offer a good quality warranty.
Since receiving the power bank, I’ve found that I use it for charging other devices like headphones as it is just so convenient.
Such a shame. I always buy Anker for the quality of product. Had this on recharge for ten hours and light wouldn’t move past 2 and needed to stop there as I’m rarely in one place that long.
Build feels great and output impressive. Shame I threw the box away or I would have sent this back. I never throw boxes away but thought I could depend on Anker……
Update – looks like a known fault. Anker pro actively contacted me and sorted me out a replacement. New one works fine. Thanks
I purchased the Anker Power Bank, PowerCore Essential 20000 Portable Charger as a Christmas present. Although my friends have only had the power bank a couple of weeks they have recharged their phones (they have top of the range iPhones and Huawei phones) a total of 5 times from a single charge and they still have some power left. At this early stage they are very happy with their present.
I wanted this as a gift for my wife I also got her a heated jacket that required 20000ma to make it work and it does.
I might well buy a second one as it will run my iPad Pro all day without touching the internal battery and the price makes it worth it.
it is heavy but if you need the power that is the handoff.
Latest Update
Replacement device working as it should. Too early to provide full review feels premium material. As described. And top marks for Ankers Customer Service.

On seeing my review Anker have been in contact dispatched a replacement. Hopefully the new one will work. Top marks for customer service. Will update review once happy new one is working 🙂
Original Review
Looks and feels good quality but it’s refusing to charge. On charge for 20 hrs and not passed 2 lights which was level it was delivered with. Really annoyed as brought this on same day delivery as need it whilst working away from home.
I’ve always been impressed with anger product, never had any quality issues with them previously
Will be returning for a refund when I get home
Great product for a reasonable price. I am using this to power a usb anti-fog dew heater band around an 80mm telescope for astrophotography. In freezing conditions it warmed the band sufficiently to stop the lens fogging for four hours straight and still showed 50 percent power remaining. Happy customer.
This is an amazing bit of kit. It has never let me down. Well worth investing in for anybody on the go. There customer service is excellent, Sophie was wonderful, intelligent and above all highly informative to all my product questions. Top marks for Sophie and Anker.
Initially I received a faulty product that would not charge but thanks to the exceptional customer support provided by a woman named Sophia at Anker I was able to get a replacement a few days later. All I needed to do was provide an order number and description of the fault before they sent me a new powercore. I didn’t even need to return the faulty product. Sophia was very understanding and quick to respond throughout the process.
About the Powercore Essential 20000:
– The product is very easy to use with LEDs indicating how much charge is remaining.
– High capacity meaning you can charge a phone fully several times. Will also charge Ipads.
– Can be charged via USB-C or MicroUSB
– Can charge two devices at the same time
– The build quality feels solid
– Includes a mesh carrying pouch
I highly recommend this product and Anker as a company as their customer support is some of the best I have experienced.
Pretty much does what it says it does. One thing I did find a little disappointing was the lack of reasonable documentation. There’s no guidance on how long you charge it for in any of the documentation and instead opts for some pictographs which explains what plugs in where. Would have liked more explanation on use. Otherwise, find the device charge time to be really good – charged my iPhone 8 from about 8% to full in about the same time it would if I was connecting it to the wall. Haven’t tried it with my iPad yet but so far, I’m quite impressed with it.
Easy to set up and easy to use… a bit heavy (as batteries always are) but great to have when you might be out of reach of a power point and get low on juice.
Feels really robust too.
Life saver. Gets my sons ipad charged again when we are on the move
