My phones battery knackered after 4 years. Cheaper to get a battery bank than a new phone. Cost of living hack. I’m ashamed!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI used it for the London Marathon app, my phone would have conked out without it. The London Marathon app is really useful if you are running the marathon for 4-6 hours, but it’s juicy and the phone would have conked out without this auxiliary battery charger. I got down to 20% battery life, plugged the charger in and it juiced up my phone to 100%. It did the same with my Garmin watch but there were complication. I found this to be an essential piece of equipment which saved my bacon today. Highly recommended. Oh yeah, it’s easy to use and seems to be built like a tank.

Built well with a good amount of storage, however doesnt charge particularly quickly and is a shame it only has USB C to recharge rather than as a charger.

This does about 6-8 charges of my phone, in my opinion it’s worth it because I rarely remember to charge a portable charger after using it once.

Worth noting that it is quite heavy (which is understandable) and probably not sensible to carry around in a pocket.

I purchased this as a backup for a 3 day trip to ensure I was able to keep an iPhone and another mobile device charged while out and about – I got home with the power indicator on the power bank down to one which is incredible! For the money this is an excellent investment! It does take a while to charge up but it’s well worth it!

Absolutely amazed at just how much charging capacity this item has. Charged and iPhone 7 four times and iPhone 11 once only to use a quarter of its capacity. Admittedly the batteries in both phones aren’t brilliant so wouldn’t necessarily say they were proper full charges but it extended the amount of life considerably.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this as the Wife was going to see HM Queen Elizabeth lying in state and obviously the queue was long and there would be a need to charge her phone. She has an iPhone and the Anker performed perfectly on about 75%charge. That was all I could get into it between it’s arrival and first deployment. She loved it. I intend to use it for camping trips etc for my p30 pro. Very good for the price.

Slightly larger than ones I’ve had before – this one less suitable for carrying in a pocket, but the advantage of its size is extra capacity. The ability to charge with usb-c is also a bonus as it’s quicker and more reliable.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI tested this battery pack charging two phones and an Apple Watch every day, only using the power bank until it ran out of battery after one full charge. It lasted from Tuesday am until Sunday pm. Some days I even charged my phone twice.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought as a gift for my Brother who travels almost every weekend of the year around the UK and Europe either on trains or to gigs in the middle of nowhere. He doesn’t often stay in hotels (tents/hostels/overnight trains and flights are more his style) so this works brilliantly for when he doesn’t have access to electric. It’s not failed him in his 8months of travel so far and it fits in his travel bag with ease.

This is an amazing power bank, simple to use and doesn’t take that long to charge (especially if you use a lighting charging cable and plug) But if you plug it in at night your good by the morning. I’d recommend this to anyone.

With a family of mobile device users – phones, tablets, watches, headphones, etc – who never seem able to plug those devices in when they access to wall sockets, having portable power is more essential than ever.
This battery is slim enough and light enough to fit in a pocket that can hold a modern phone, yet power two such phones.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this mainly for travelling but have a couple of camping festivals along the way. It charged my iPhone 11 4 times and still has 2 blue lights left on. (Not had to charge it up yet) which means I probably could get another 3-4 charges off it depending on when the 3rd blue light will flick off. I’d advise charging your device whilst not using it and having all background apps turned off to get most efficient charging from pack.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersThis is more a comment than a true review. After reading a number of reviews regarding charge time, I would like to make a suggestion to those who are having issues with long charge times.

Do not use those weedy USB plugs that come with your phone or other low(ish) power chargers. These powerbanks need a decent current to charge in an acceptable time. In fact, I have bought a extra couple of the chargers that come with the new Kindle Fire’s (the 10 inch models). These have a higher current rating. The fact you can get 4 to 5 phone charges from each full power bank might give a clue as to how much charge the powerbank holds and consequently the charge time for the powerbank cannot be compared a single charge to a phone which holds a quarter of the power the powerbank holds.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersBit of a beast, from a decent brand. It takes a while to fully charge but once done this thing will power my phone from dead to full at least 4 times. Spent 3 days on an island with no mains electricity. Keeping my mobile charged wasn’t an issue at all. If anything happened running out of power was something I didn’t need to worry about – well, for communications and music anyway. And this was after my son nicked it to charge his phone.
It isn’t the lightest power bank I have but then again it’s not a brick either. Considering the charge it holds this is a very handy thing to own.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhen it comes to anything to do with charging I only use Anker, all my chargers, cables, adaptors are Anker, they are by far the highest quality and the price rivals other top brands like ugreen

I bought this powerbank as an upgrade to my previous Anker powerbank, this model had more ports and a bigger battery, feels just as high quality as all my other Anker gear

Mainly use my powerbanks for trips away or if your a really heavy battery user, it`s lightweight so could take with you on nights out or visits to friends and family

Exactly what I was looking, a worry free power bank experience where I kinda only need to charge once a week. Gave my OnePlus 7 pro and galaxy buds 2 a full charge and still shows 4 batteries. This power bank will easily last a few years, in that sense it is definitely worth it if you use it everyday.

Comes with nice pouch and ….. A micro usb cable? Come on, not even usb C?

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGot this to replace my previous Halfords battery bank which was a chunky beast. Very happy to see this one is a lot slimmer, despite having a larger charge capacity.

As others have noted, it doesn’t fast-charge, but it gets my Samsung Galaxy S9 from 1% to 100% so it’s pretty manageable. I managed to get 4 full charges out of the bank, plus a few more part-charges, so I’m happy with it.

It does take a few hours to charge the bank itself, but leaving it overnight is just fine, and given how many charges it can give your phone it doesn’t seem that it’ll need to be recharged itself too frequently.

Also pleased that it comes with the little mesh carry case, which is just about big enough to be able to slot my phone in aswell, so I can keep them together and not worry about them rustling about in my bag potentially pulling the wires out!

Have bought two of these now, one for my partner. Really happy with my first one after 2 years of use, can get days of use with this – very handy for long treks.

Great to have multiple inputs to give you flexibility with multiple cable types and 2 outputs also is useful.

Last useful feature is being able to check the charge with the button, which lights up some LEDs on the button for charge indication.

Solid purchase, core requirement for modern tech enthusiasts.

Perhaps next upgrade is to have USB-C out, to further reduce the number of cables needed in life.

I know these devices don’t always age well but so far so good.

Would have been better if came with the same multi-option USB-C charging lead as the ‘Anker PowerCore 10000 Redux Power Bank, 10000mAh Portable Charger with USB-C Power Delivery (25W)’ – only comes with USB-A micro cable.

Always tricky to decide on weight to life.
This one seems spot on for slightly longer (long weekend to a week) trips.

As you’d expect you get what you pay for! I’ve have had countless Anker packs cables etc and if I’m honest I wouldn’t recommend any other brand for the product. I do a lot of trekking and it’s awesome knowing that I can charge up my 20 pack and not need anything for the week even running gps and things. I’ve tried hundreds of products that list the same battery capacity mAh etc. “theseare not true” for me this is the only one I by. The only reason they are 4 not 5 is 5 should be perfect right? Reason is first pack I bought had a great double layer sleeve so you could chuck your phone done one side cable from the charger side into it. When your phone wasn’t in there just wack the cable in second section. However your new cables do not have that. Whilst this seems like a small difference it has made a large difference.

I regularly use this anker power bank to recharge my iphone and ipad mini pro. It charges them up almost as quickly as their regular power supply.

When it comes time to recharge the power bank, I use a 20w usbc power socket and a usbc to usbc cable, bought separately, in order to charge it in 6 hours.
If I attempt to recharge the power bank via the USB sockets on a normal computer, either by using the supplied micro-usb to usb cable or my own usbc to usb cable it takes 20+ hours to charge because those sockets only transmit about 5w.

I often recharge this power bank off my solar-charged camping battery, so I effectively charge it for free. Anything to save a couple of quid in these expensive times.

I travel a lot within the country (way less since the pandemic started), and I need my phone being always charged (I use it for almost everything, excl. reading and listening music). I have a few different kind of Power Banks (from different price range). I just had a 5 days trip that was planned to be a 3 days trip only, and I never had to worry about my phone, thanks to this charger.
UPDATE after a few various length of trips: I still found no fault. I wild camped with friends, and my Power Bank was enough for supply two different mobile phones for a few days.

I’ve had plenty of cheap or free promotional power banks in the past but this is vastly superior. It does take a long time to fully charge but once done we got several charges of an iPhone 12 and XR out of it. Great! Can’t wait to take it camping which was the main reason for purchase. It feels solid, a little heavy (but I find that reassuring!) and seems like a good investment already.

I bought this battery for topping up our mobile devices whilst our and about on holiday. It’s compact in size (smaller than S20) so easily fits in a bag or pocket. It’s also very well built, with a reassuring rugged, solid, feel, and a great capacity. The charge indicator lights are effective but not overly bright which I like. As a bonus feature it also offers a trickle-charge mode for smaller devices like ear buds, or when you want to leave a device plugged in for a while. All in all very pleased.

Early days, but so far I’m highly impressed with this portable power pack. I’ll be using it for powering up a lens dew heater on astrophotography sessions, so I’m hoping it will give a good few hours use between charges. The unit arrived already with 25-50% charge, and was a doddle to charge with a mains adapter (not supplied)…overnight it easily reached 75-100% capacity. The capacity is easily checked by just pressing the single button. 2x USB sockets for devices is plenty for my use, the unit is extremely well made, but subsequently quite heavy. Finally, I can’t quite understand the few negative reviews that state the unit wouldn’t charge…as I said above, I just plugged it in, left it overnight and it’s fully charged.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have only been using this battery for a few weeks testing it. I meanly chose this battery for camping because it has a big 20,000 mah capacity and it can charge 2 items at once, it also can be charge with a USB c or micro usb. I haven’t tested if you can use both for faster charging yet. It also charges fast, I can play Pokmon Arceus on my Nintendo switch while it still gains charge. The size is pocket size so its not to bulky. Overall I’m happy with this item at the moment.

Bought this power bank for my wife as her old one broke after she dropped it . The device came nicely packed with a little Anker bag and lead . To charge it initially I charged it with my Huawei Mate 40 pro charger usb c at 66w it took approximately 30 mins . The device is nice looking a bit heavy understandably due to its heavy load . She charges her iPhone 13 and vape simultaneously and it hasn’t even dropped two bars yet , 6 days now and it still does not require charging . I would certainly recommend this product .

Initially I didn’t think it was working well. My phone was only charging slowly. After more time than it should have taken, I realised I needed to push the USB connector in a little deeper. Brilliant product!! Takes a bit longer than overnight to fully charge but once charged the performance was really good!!! Took it with me on a very long trip and it was very reassuring that i would not struggle with a low battery. It was able to charge both my phones very fast together just like if it was plugged to the mains and would not even take 1/4 of its charge. Extremely efficient. It is heavy but totally a life saver. It charged my Ipad too very well.

Used Anker Power Bank for a number of year now – previous was smaller capacity but still going strong. Went for the larger capacity version and not disappointed. Bit heavier and certainly not something for the smaller pocket – but it has great capacity and provides power for hours and hours to my phones/portable speakers/Ipad etc.

Normally, I’m a bit hesitant about buying electronics online, but this is really good! It’s about the same size as most mobiles phones, if a bit thicker, so it’s very portable. It charges my phone (moto e5 play) fully without losing one light of battery itself, so the battery life is really long – great for camping. It comes with a short micro USB cable and a net bag as well. Really good, would highly recommend.

I’ve always had good experiences with Anker products so chose this power bank for when I do long journeys. It holds plenty of charge, just over 4 full charges of my phone (Huawei P30) or about 2 and a half charges of my Tablet. Very happy with my purchase. Has the capacity that it says it does and it charges my phone very quickly. If you are looking for a good power bank, I strongly recommend this, even if it does have a slightly higher price point than some other off brand ones. You get a slightly premium feel as they have gave a protective pouch along with the power bank. The trickle charging was actually more useful than it seemed and worked very well with my fitness tracker. 5 out of 5, would buy again.

Having used a smaller device from this Company for a number of years, without problems, this larger capacity device seems to be performing well. Let me just say I’ve been given a few freebie power banks and they always disappoint me. This one won’t though. You can be sure once you fully charge this product, it will support you and your phone consumption for at least 1 full day without having to charge it again at home. For the first time in my life, I am finally free from the worry of my phone dying, or powerbanks not having enough energy in them to support my daily consumption. The only drawback is that it takes forever to charge but I guess that’s only reflective of the energy the product is trying to save inside its sleek body. Overall, highly recommended!

I’m on an S9 and it’s charged this 3+ times without depleting, so I’d definitely recommend it.

I bought this as a replacement for my previous anker metro core essential 20000 I was dissappointed as it is much heavier,
    It charges very slow .
However battery life is excellent. In the 5 hrs it took to charge my phone it dropped only one light. A few days later it charged a phone and again only dropped one light. So thats ok.

I have had this portable charger for almost a year now and I can say that for the most part it does the job. If I need my iPhone or AirPods charging, it will do it easily. However, it really struggles when it comes to my iPad Pro. I use my iPad for work and I plug it into the battery pack when it gets around half charge. The charger does not recharge the iPad when using it for work or when it is left on standby. It simply retains the charge at the level it was at or slows down the rate in which the power of the iPad depletes. It is disappointing, but when used on smaller devices, the power pack works well.

Came with one blue light lit and took approximately 10hrs to fully charge with my samsung s8 charger. It has charged my phone twice so far and still has four lights lit so I’m very content so far as it does everything I purchased it for.

I purchased this to vharge my Garmin watch on ultra runs. The trickle charge facility is required for this low voltage watch. It works well. My only concern is units weight. It’s quite heavy and keeping overall weight low is a key consideration when running long distances.

It charges easily, and has both micro-USB and USB-C for charging. But only USB-A out, which you are told when buying so not a surprise.
It charges up, and works for charging devices as expected. No fuss at all.
Not sure the point of a mesh bag/case that is smaller than necessary – and the mesh catches on everything if you put it in a rucksack or handbag. When I take it out with me, it is in an old zip-up hard case that came with my previous Easyacc battery which had eventually lost its charge capacity after many years use. That gives space to also carry the cables you need for actually using the battery!
There is a later version of the case, and if you find it on Amazon it shows this power pack as a combined purchase – but not the other way around!
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/EasyAcc-PowerCore-20100mAh-Carrying-Earphones/dp/B015PNYHQY/ref=sr_1_10?keywords=Easyacc+battery&qid=1636722763&qsid=261-7840430-3737059&sr=8-10&sres=B094NM9F3Q%2CB07352KD2Y%2CB07PGRGD5X%2CB0876RBKDQ%2CB08ZD869HZ%2CB08XK9DGW7%2CB07D9KV2TW%2CB015PNYHQY%2CB08C5CXWY4%2CB08972GRCC%2CB07QXV6N1B%2CB08NBDT4NG%2CB08H8BG4QF%2CB07W5YG32K%2CB07PM9PBQY%2CB093X1HZZ8&srpt=POWER_BANK

Does what it is designed to do. The carry pouch is a bit pointless.

We have 2 of these now.
We just take it for granted that if we are out for the day/weekend we’ll get more than 2 full charges from empty to full.
I regularly get part way through a video call and my phone/tablet gets low on battery, you just plug in to this and carry on chatting.
If everyone else has beaten me to chargers or USB points in the house I just fetch one of these. It’s faster than some of our other charging points too.

I’ve got an Anker Bluetooth speaker and an MP3 player too, would buy this brand again when looking at other tech now.

Used this little twice and whilst it does take a little longer than expected to actually charge the main unit it’s surprisingly really good, just what you need if there’s no where to plug in your tech

Highly recommend this product. Maybe on the more expensive side slightly but the money spent is well worth it. Multiple charges from one full charge of the pack. The actual battery life of the pack is a long long time. No idea exactly as i haven’t counted, but plenty of time for you to charge your phone multiple times to 100%. Also supports fast charging however i only know this for samsung and not apple as i only use samsung phones.

Perfect gadget for travel where more than one item needs recharge. eg DSLR/MacBook/iPhone.
Used at night, cold, to test performance.
Charged all with power to spare.
Seems I’m an Anker fan having now used multiple products and having no issue with any.
    Thoroughly recommended.

Too often the power banks fall extremely short of their capacity ratings mostly due to falsly advertised products.
This power bank from Anker is not one of those.
I tested the capacity for the first few times of use and was as advertised if not better.
So far after quite a bit of use the capacity is still very good.
There are no problems charging although it is best to use a high power rapid charger as it can take quite some time to charge if using a standard 5v (500mA) charger. (A really long time!).
It charges using the supplied Micro USB cable, this is very short thought. It can also be charged using USB-C but this is not supplied.
Has 2 USB outputs to provide power and has a level indicator in the form of tiny blue lights around a button on the top. The button is used to check the battery level and is NOT to turn the power bank on and off. It will also indicate the power level whilst charging.
It also comes with a nice little net carry bag which is a nice addition.
Extremely pleased with it so far.
Buying from a trusted brand is worth the extra cost from those cheap fake types.

Works well, I’ve used it to charge multiple devices on a daily basis. Plenty of capacity, decent charging speed, exactly what you want from a power bank.

Only con is, there’s no USB C output, but that hasn’t much of a problem for me.

Avoid the cheaper unknown power banks, they lie a lot about specs. Stick with a reputable well known brand like Anker.

I charge my phone with this almost everyday for a week before it needs charging again. It also charges from empty to full very quickly. I have been very impressed with it. I also like that I only need one lead, the same lead charges the power bank and my phone (USB C).

The parcel arrived a little to late during the day, but once I’d opened it I knew I’d made the right choice.
Well packaged, very neat and professionally designed boxed container.

Heavy, which in my eyes shows quality and very sleek in design.

Mainly bought for when I go fishing for 36+ hours. Will update, but pm far so good.

I have been using Ankers product for years and as expected, this did not disappoint. A little bit on the heavy side but then it is 20,000 mAH so this is expected. I managed to charge my iPhone 8 Plus 6 times before needing to charge the powerbank again. The Blue LED on the front gives you an indication of how much juice is left so very handy as well. Overall i am happy with the product.

I have had several Anker products over the years as I find them to produce reliable, high quality stuff and this is no different. Straight out of the box it feels like a sturdy, well made, product. It takes a reassuringly long time to charge – around 10 hours or so, but the wait is definitely worthwhile. I took it away camping to a 4 day festival and it kept me fully charged all weekend – with around 4 – 4.5 charges of my iphone 12 mini and about 3 charges of my JBL flip speaker and still had some juice left in the tank. I haven’t timed how long it takes to charge my phone but I was very impressed with the speed of the charge and seemed faster than charging directly from a plug but, like I say, I haven’t conducted any tests to compare as I’m not (quite) that sad. Overall, extremely happy with this Anker Power Bank – I definitely recommend this is an essential bit of kit if you’re travelling. 4 thumbs up!

Great, this Power Bank charges my phone 6s really fast, it charged 3% in a minute and charged 50% in about 30 minutes The only downside is that the Power Bank itself takes ages to charge which isn’t bad unless u need to charge it during the day, otherwise like I do just charge it overnigh

I took this with me, while doing the Thames Path 100km challenge, I walked over two day, use it to charge my phone and watch over night, also used to make sure my phone was top up, it still had lot of power in it, after I finish the walk.
It’s little bit heavy but not as bad as some, definitely worth buying.

I didn’t hesitate to buy an Anker PowerCore Essential 20,000 mAh power bank for recording presentations and band at a forthcoming music enthusiast meet. This all-day event is held in a hall where there is no ready access to plug in power so recording the sessions with an Apple iPhone 11 Pro in full HD at 60 fps would drain the battery before lunch.

This power bank will keep the iPhone topped up and give me five full charges should I require it. We have quite a number of portable devices in our household (two iPad Pro 2nd generation, two iPhone 11 Pro/Pro Max, iPhone 7, Kindle, Apple Watch, etc.) so this will come in handy on holiday while out and about too. Great device, highly recommended, indeed essential kit if you enjoy outdoor pursuits which require GPS mapping gadgets such as hiking, orienteering or for camping to keep your devices fully charged.

We’ve only started going camping the last few years and we didn’t realise these existed till last year when our friends devices were always fully charged and ours were only charging when we were in the car (the rest of the time we left them on airplane mode to preserve battery). Our friends recommended this product and we used it this year. Absolutely great, lasted whole week charging all our phones. Looks good, sturdy, comes with a travel case. You might just need to bring your phone leads. Would recommend

Yep, good product! I knew it would be as I had a smaller Anker before that still works great. Bought to take away to a festival for 5 days and I was juiced up to the max! So far it’s charged my iPhone 11 twice, my friend’s vape twice and her Samsung phone once or twice too.

Bought this for a holiday where being out all day with a number of family phone devices that would need recharging would be necessary. Charged this before setting out (takes about 12 hrs) but it kept everything recharged as advertised. If I need another one I would definitely by this again.

This product is well made very durable. The charge of the device can take up to 7-8 hours but once it’s fully charged devices can be used multiple times until juice runs out.

Took it out on a full day trip used it charging 2 devices a few time at a time and still had 1 bar left so very happy with the duration.

Brilliant piece of device, works very well with my little mobile fan in which the battery does the job and make it last to use for. A bit heavy but that doesn’t bother me at all. I certainly recommend this lovely piece of this device.

It’s a good product and it does what it’s meant to do, very reliable unlike other brands I’ve tried, not the cheapest and would expect a better finish on the product and would expect QC and PD charging at this price point but however I would buy this again.

At 20,000 mAh capacity this powerbank lasts really well. Its a great thing to carry with you when you need to keep your devices topped up, and its got a very reasonable size and weight for the capacity. I tested the power output and it easily outputs 2.5A while keeping the voltage at 5V, which is a huge improvement on other power banks I have tried. I keep mine with me on my commutes, so I can keep my phone and headphones charged, and it does an outstanding job.

I was a bit worried that this item would not fast-charge my Samsung model, but I plugged 2 Samsung S10e phones (USB -> USB-C) and they both showed up with the same “time until full” as they showed when plugged into the wall charger. In the time it took to write this review, my phone went from 25% to 32%.

I am also using 2 Anker USB-C cables I bought at the same time. The pack is about 5mm longer than a Samsung S10e, and weighs twice as much.

I honestly couldn’t think of a way to fault this if I tried.

It has two USB-A power outputs. A micro-USB and USB-C (thank god) to charge the powerbank, 4 increment LED’s to show the capacity, and a mesh bag to carry in (which lets me bring the single USB-C cable I need to charge this and charge anything from it).

It lasts a long time, and charges fast. Well done Anker.

I bought this as an extra battery pack for weekends away. I was worried it would be too big and heavy but I was surprised by the weight and size. It’s fatter and slightly heavier than my 10,000 mAh one but the sizing is similar. I have many Anker products and this one didn’t disappoint. Sometimes it doesn’t automatically start charging my phone so doesn’t charge if I don’t think to press the button but that’s a minor issue and mostly my fault for not checking it. Overall very happy with this product!
