This is a lovely sturdy product, able to take large, heavy canvas and boards, and whatever I slap on them. Alongside this easil was a wonderful bonus 3D jigsaw puzzle, given that there was a significant lack of any kind of instructions. But hey, I’m a creative and it added a bit of fun to the building process!

I really liked the easel, it is well made, sturdy, easy to move from one place to another in the room, and it does not take a lot of space.
Not Easely buil
To start at the end… The finished easel is solid and well designed. However, as many others have said: the diagram and building instructions are a bit vague. I found that I had to undo and reverse a few bits as they were not well depicted in the building blurb. Having said that, you are only going to build it once, so get a drink (in my case scotch), and be prepared for about 30 mins of construction, with occasional swearing and re-arranging bits. Once built, everything is adjustable and it could support a gigantic canvas. It also has a handy shelf for brushes, paints, doughnuts or whatever. Now to create a masterpiece……
Beautiful and well made.
I am very happy, beautifully made and well designed. All holes were drilled out perfectly and every piece fitted like a glove. It was well packaged and different sections of wood came in cloth bags as well. Each bag of screws and bolts came labeled and although it came with an Allen key you do need to have a cross head screwdriver to hand as well. Only negative are the instructions, they are not that clear. I did put some things on backwards the first time and had to redo some parts. However it still only took me 20 minutes to complete. I would highly recommend and say that it’s worth the extra cost over a pine version which although cheaper are not as strong.

It stands in my art room permanently in use! Its wonderful and has transformed the way I feel as I work.
It has just one downside and that’s the height of the central upright attached to the board; when the board goes up, so does that! To get the correct height I am almost skimming my ceiling hey ho.
Really pleased with size and quality
I needed an easel for large box canvases (up to 48″/120cm from ledge to top) and this one is perfect. The assembly was a bit of a jigsaw puzzle and I had to undo and redo bits of it. However all the parts were there and once assembled I am surprised at how sturdy and stable it is.
Have just built this on my own fairly easily. I’m absolutely thrilled with the quality of materials and manufacturing of this easel, for the price I was expecting much much less. It’s a great size and designed really well, can’t wait to get painting again!

I was very pleasantly surprised by this product. It was bought as a gift for my flat mate so I didn’t want to spend a fortune but wanted a decent one. This product is so sturdy, doesn’t wobble and is easy to use. The finish of the wood couldn’t be better and the instructions and the way the parts are lettered makes it easy to assemble.
Fab easel - assembly really not that bad
Excellent easel! As for the reviews regarding the ease of assembly: it really isn’t that bad! It took me half hour to do it on my own. I admit the instructions could be a bit clearer but honestly I’ve seen worse (IKEA). Love this easel and very pleased with the quality and it looks slick

It’s a good, strong easel, perfect for studio use.
Assembly instructions were not in English so that made it a bit trickier.
Die Staffelei wird im nicht montierten Zustand geliefert. Die Holzteile sind mit einem separatem Flies geschtzt, die Schrauben nach Typ jeweils in einzelnen, separaten Ttchen, die wiederum nummeriert sind. Ebenfalls liegen zwei, fr den Zweck sehr hochwertige Schraubendreher bei, mit gummierten Griffen. Der Aufbau klappt sehr gut, dank der Anleitung. Das Holz ist super verarbeitet. Keine Risse, keine vermakelten Lcher, keine Spne. Die Staffelei funktioniert perfekt. Die Ablage ist hhenverstellbar. Da kann sich selbst Ikea eine dicke Scheibe in Punkte Qualitt, Zusammenbau, Preis und Werkzeug abschneiden. Klasse Produkt! Herzlichen Dank Artina.

Very good value for money. Sturdy and copes well with a large portrait canvas. A large landscape canvas does wobble around a bit. Would definitely recommend for a keen painting enthusiast.
This item arrived very quickly, it had one little bit of damage, a small crack on one piece of the wood, I decided that it was not worth doing anything about it as it was unseen and didnt affect the easel from being fully used. I personally found it quite complicated to put it together, it did come with tools to do the job though. My husband managed to put it together using photos from the internet to judge where each piece went as the instructions were not great. The finished easel is a fabulous looking piece of equipment, it is very nicely finished and changes position and height very easily. All said I would highly recommend this item.

I am very pleased with this easel. We did not have any problems putting it together. We found that looking at the photos of the assembled easel on the website helpful and don’t tighten the screws until the whole thing is fully assembled as you might have to backtrack a couple of times.
It is easy to adjust the height of the canvas and stable enough to rest your hand against the canvas when painting.

Be patient, this comes in pieces, flat packed. Excellent protective packaging, and all the pieces were there. The instructions require quite a lot of imagination to work out which is which and which way up. But its possible. Drink wine afterwards! Seems well made, sturdy and a worth while purchase.

Excellent quality. The assembly instructions are not so great, but looking at the pictures and the instructions together, didn’t take to long to assemble. This easel is of top qualit, bought this as a birthday gift for my wife, and she is extremely pleased with it, At it’s highest setting this is very tall, and will take very large canvases. Looks great, and as mentioned the wife (the artist) is extremely pleased with it.

An excellent easel for the money
I was looking for an easel that was sturdy enough and not too flimsy, something midway between a flimsy travel easel and one of those huge bulky beasts I used to use at art school. It arrived very quickly and assembly was very straight forward and hassle free (very clear instructions and 2 quality screwdrivers are included). My first impressions are it’s an extremely well made product, quality wood and fittings, and gives the impression that it will last a fair long time. It is stable enough to take reasonably large canvases without any worries. All in all exactly what as I was looking for, especially for the price. Would definitely recommend it.

Saw a cheap one of these and was a little reluctant as I had already ordered this. Really glad I payed the extra now though as you can tell the quality is better. The height can be adjusted for all sizes of canvas so you wont have to crouch to get the bottom.
Took a bit to build but not hard.
The easel is brilliant, worth 5 stars. It’s very solid, well constructed, and easy to adjust. I’ve knocked off a star as the instructions to assemble it are terrible – very small, and 10th generation photo copy. It took two of us a whole evening of struggle to put it together – largely by trial and error.
Ceilings Beware!
This is a nice product and well made. The addition of screwdrivers was a nice touch.
The only problem I have with easel is that when you raise the mount, to get the box section at a nice height, the actual bar it slides along also goes up. This makes sense, because it means you don’t have to loosen the top bracket (and your painting) if you want to change the height, but what it does mean is that the height of this product can soon be hitting your ceilings!
In my old house, with low ceilings, I have had to cut over a foot off of the top of the easel to get the box section to a decent working height, which is a real shame. If you have decent headroom you should be okay. Just a warning.
Still a nice product but a shame they couldn’t make the back bar with a removable top section.

So happy with this easel. Good value and so easy to put together. It come partialy assembled with clear instructions. It took me less then 30mins to fully assemble. Skrew drivers supplied with individual and labled bagged nuts and bolts. The delivery of this item was amazing…I ordered late evening 22nd December and did not expect delivery until after Christmas. I bought this easel on the strength of the reviews it had received. I am now honour bound to add to them. This is an excellent piece of kit; well crafted and manufactured and the preparation put into the packaging to aid the constructor is the best I’ve seen. If I have to crtiticise..the written instructions I received might have been the end of a print run and were a bit ‘greyscale’.. a denser copy might have made live easier. Nevertheless the timber was prepared to high standard and the fittings..screws, bolts etc were of obvious good quality. I put it together at a casual pace..it took me 30 minutes. Plus the fact that included in the fitting were a couple of decent quality screwdrivers..crosshead and Phillips… that’s service. Very highly recommended.

I could not be happier with this purchase. It arrived in perfect condition on the stated date from Germany. Excellent materials (solid wood) and solid construction once assembled. Assembly very simple and all parts numbered or lettered in accordance with the clear and simple instructions. (All parts were present as well, which was welcome!)
Two screwdrivers were provided, although the Philips head one just about lasted through assembly before starting to wear down.
Can’t ask for much more at this price. Definitely recommended if you are looking for an inexpensive, quality easel for pictures with a longest side of 1m or less.

Bought for a birthday present for a keen adult artist who had only previously used a table top easel. The delivery time estimated between 6-23 days! I had ordered it a bit late, just a week before her birthday, so feared it might have to be a belated present but it arrived within the week! Took me about half an hour to assemble, I’ve kept the screwdrivers provided for myself as they’re great!
The recipient was over the moon, not knowing how much of a bargain this easel is, she almost suggested it was too much of an extravagance; it does not look cheap.
The wood looks beuatiful and the whole thing can be enjoyed as a lovely piece of furniture too.

The wood is really thick and strong, nice and heavy so it won’t fall over.
You do have to put it together, but it was very straight forward, and came with the all the tools you need.
Easy to assemble
This is a very nice, sturdy easel with adjustable heights. It’s quite tall and has a place to put your paints and jars whilst working. Most canvases even quite big or small ones will fit very comfortably ans will be at a good working height. This took us around 15 minutes to assemble (2 people) and wasn’t much of a hassle at all. Sadly this arrived with a small bump in the wood which is the only reason I haven’t given it full stars. It couldn’t have been from the shipping since all the pieces were wrapped and protected. All in all, very sturdy, functionable and good quality.

Fast delivery which was nice. I had to build the easel as it came unassembled, and after a couple of minor mistakes putting it together I had it finished in about 45 mins. It’s well made, from solid wood which I feel will last. Lots of adjustment settings to cater for most canvas sizes. It folds flat for easier storage. This easel was at about half the price of a similar D&R that I wanted to get initially. It appears to be made in Germany and it is very well made and thought out. It comes almost completely disassembled but my wife put it together in about 15 mins using the guide that comes with it.
It comes with two screw drivers and all the bolts and screws in separate little bags which are numbered according to the instructions.
I really love it as it is solid beech wood, I used to have a simpler one for years (made of fir wood) and that one was a bit flimsy. This model can also be tilted to keep the canvas vertical, one of the features that I was looking for, and also the excellent value for the price.
Can’t find any faults except that you have to assemble it yourself and it is a bit heavier than the one I had before but again, much more solid and stable for larger canvases. So all in all an excellent product, highly recommended!
