Reliable, easy to install, perfec
Bought a couple of these for an installation for a customer. Having used much more expensive ones before I was a bit nervous that they wouldn’t perform very well. How wrong I was. Installed, up and running and working for over two years without a fault. One of the units was a spare which was waiting for the customer to get a TV which, for various reasons, took until recently to happen. Unfortunately when I went back they had thrown away the box which had the IR emitter in it. I contacted AV Access who are sending one direct to the customer without complaint. Now that is customer service!

Purchased 2 units: HDBase-T extender (4KEX70-L) and HDMI Extender (HDEX40-L). Both are quality build, very small and fit perfectly behind the TV even with a low profile wall mount. Both have worked flawlessly so far and picture quality has been perfect. I would definitely recommend these products.

Sky q essential but price is too high
Product works perfect for sky q which I use regular . I’ve gave it 4 star due to the price but I’ve had cheaper where I’ve had none stop problems good for this but I’ll be trying to source a cheaper alternative very hard selling point to customers on installs but it’s a winner.

I’ve been really impressed with this extender. I have a Virgin V6 box in an upstairs cupboard and the TV in the kitchen connected via cat6 cables and patch panel. Picture and sound quality are great and remote control works perfectly remotely. Power over Ethernet means I only have to power the transmitter, so literally just have 1 small box cable tied to the back of the TV. Am going to purchase another one to send to another room shortly.

Alex was superb, walked me through several things to check that were very straight forward to do and easy without needing any tooling or advanced skills. On determining either the transmitter or receiver IR cable was dead, he shipped me a new one that arrived next day.

Would recommend and when the time comes to go up to 4K, would look at the AV Access products again as part of that upgrade.

Test avec 25m de cable entre PC et video projecteur. En 2k et 4k sans problme. J’avais eu une premire exprience mauvaise avec un adaptateur DBaseT: instabilit, sensible aux parasites, reconnexion longue. Mais avec ce modle aucun problme.

The signal was transmitted over 6- feet and this HDMI extender was able to deliver a great picture .I am very pleased with the image .It is good value .

Been running for a month now with no issues. Picture quality just fine (but tbf it was with the old HDBT ones, until the transmitter packed up in its 6th year of service).

Worked a treat straight out of the box. Only needs a power supply at one end of the network cable (my previous extenders needed power at both ends – a pain, as one was in the loft). Been running for a month now with no issues. Picture quality just fine (but tbf it was with the old HDBT ones, until the transmitter packed up in its 6th year of service).
Solved my problems. Easy setup, easy to use. Don't skimp on a good cable.

Wish they had an option to connect two HDMI source cables. I am using this to supply my tv with a satellite receiver and will also be using it to watch DVD's, however I will have to switch the HDMI cable from one device to the other.

I bought an AV Access 4KEX70-L set to replace an old HDMI extender that did not see eye to eye with a new Virgin Media V6 box. I plugged the 4KEX70-L in, and it just worked. Easy as that. The units are smaller than my old ones, neater, with fewer wires (power is only required at one end) and deliver an even better (uncompressed) signal.
I did not test the IR extender, because the Virgin Media remote control can operate a hidden V6 box anyway.

Against the advice of an AV engineer I know, I bought a cheap HDMI extender before this one. It worked fine for a bit, and then packed up. You definitely get what you pay for. This item is much better made, has a number of indicator lights which would make it easy to diagnose a problem if there was one, is more versatile, and works brilliantly. The Infra red remote pass through is excellent as well.
Update: I’ve recently had a problem with the IR pass through. Alex at AVaccess couldn’t have been more helpful, and the issue is now fully resolved at no cost to myself. Another good reason for buying this item.

TIA 568B Wiring Needed - Red Blinking power ligh
I wired my house with TIA 568A but this device requires TIA 568B to work with POE. The manual does mention the need for this, but does not explain what the flashing Red power light means in the troubleshooting page.
After re-punching down the wires to 568B the unit worked as it should.
The build quality is great. The IR works perfect. The case is the slimmest which makes it easy to mount anywhere.

Reliable, even at 4K
I bought 2 sets to replace the totally unreliable E-SDS HDMI Extenders. These new units work brilliantly, even at 4K. They are slightly expensive, but reliability counts.

Have been experimenting with this for use on my regular multi room installs, and so far it seems to have no issues working perfectly with all combinations and lengths of network cables hdmi cables , sources and displays. Very economical compared with other hdbaseT kit.

Excellent product, about 10m of cat 5e cable from loft where sky Q 2tb box sits to tv in living room on wall, picture quality is 4k at 8bit and picture is very good. Didn’t use the ir senders that come with kit tho as Bluetooth remote still works that come with Q box.

Ho acquistato l’extender per sostituire dei Lindy, di vecchia generazione e che non supportavano il 4K. Purtroppo nella mia installazione l’extender non si mostrato all’altezza, riuscendo a trasferire solo il segnale HD interlacciato, esattamente come i Lindy. Per tale ragione l’ho restituito anche se non ho potuto stabilire se il problema fosse l’eccessiva attenuazione del cavo Cat5/6 che uso. Il servizio stato perfetto, sia in consegna che in reso e ritengo che comunque gli extender siano ben fatti.

Worked a treat with Sky Q, I used about 30 meters of good cat5e, if it works with Sky Q 4k that`s a good sign.

Working well so far. Im using CAT5e and skyQ box is going over it nicely in UHD. No problems. CAT5e limit for UHD is 35metres. Mine only has to go to the next room. So not far. I have never had to replace my old 1080p converters I got 8 years ago….so it will be good to see how long these last. They are expensive enough so I hope they last at least 5 years. Well packaged etc…

I wanted to extend the connection from my Virgin V6 Media Box to a Samsung Smart TV using my home network cabling (via a Patch Panel). When I received the HDMI Extender 4KEX70-L I was impressed by the build quality, and how small it was. After connecting the extenders in accordance with the manual, the Receiver failed to acknowledge a Video/Audio signal. However, after an email to AV Access I got a very quick response with clear instructions on how to change a setting on my Samsung TV. I am pleased to say that I can now watch television through my home network cabling and I would recommend this product to my friends.
I should mention that I my TV can no longer control the Virgin Media via the HDMI cable, but as the new V6 remote control uses a RF signal I can use that remote from another room

Great product and good value. The fact that you only need to power one end is a god-send. Many other products need power at both ends!
These work just as good as the big companies. Worth every penny. I am an Automation / Integrator and am now using these in my projects. No need to spend double or more in a Non Video Matrix system.

I only partially tried it out yet, but so far I love it. I will use it to drive my projector from across the room via a 15m long CAT6 cable, and I absolutely wanted a product that can even cope with 1080p and beyond if necessary (3D, maybe 4k in the future, HDR is not a must as for projectors it could very much be impossible). The CAT6 I have are all wall-terminated by Legrand outlets, very good quality termination I think as there were absolutely no issues finding sync across the room, and keeping the HDMI sync.
Build quality is top-notch, and basically it was plug-n-play, set it up in just under 1 hour, and the majority of time was spent on getting cardboard boxes up to hold the test equipment and actually cabling with brand new cables from plastic bags. It must only be powered on either side, so it gets very flexible. LED indicators are super tiny but very well observable, so they will not bother too much blinking all the time. There are red-green-blue, so very easy to distinguish them also from far away. Picture quality itself seems super awesome, I tested it with 10-20 minutes of Kodi with 1080p material, and the picture was sharp and fluid. When I will have my projector I will test with whole movies, but I do not see why it would not work.
A minor thought: For me the receiver end gets a tad bit hot on the touch, I hope it will not be an issue on the long run, but be prepared for heat dissipation to be something to look for.
All in all, for the current (discounted) price, this is a no-brainer for someone wanting an HDBaseT Lite kit to provide 1080p without issues, and even beyond that. Highly recommend to get these if you are in the lookout for a cheap solution for HDBaseT Lite, all the rest I could buy was way over this price-range.

Excellent device.
Used these to replace a previous system that kept hanging up during operation such that it required a power reset of the receiver. This system was easy to install, only requires one power supply as long as you have a power point near the transmitter, provides excellent signal quality and the IR units work well with a Panasonic DVR. The only downside was only one connector is supplied for the RS232 connection.

Had to get a 1080p signal from my youview box downstairs into my bedroom upstairs. As I may be upgrading the youview to the UHD model soon chose this extender. Ordered this as a replacement to a different HDMI extender that didn’t work. I have cat 6 cabling throughout the house but the patch panel and sockets I have are all cat 5 so wasn’t sure if it would work. As I mentioned another unit didn’t. Was thinking I would have to change the patch panel and sockets over to cat 6 but this worked straight out of the box with great picture quality. Very happy!

ich habe das Teil fr meinen Vater gekauft, der sehr unglcklich war, da er ein hnliches Gert gekauft hatte, welches leider nicht das tat, was er erwartete. Das andere Gert hat zwar das Video ganz gut bertragen, aber beim Ton gab es nur Stereo, noch nicht einmal 5.1. Dieser Extender hat dagegen alles entsprechend gemacht. Vom Bluray Player zur Denon Anlage, Denon erkannte Dolby Atmos und steuerte auch alle 7 Kanle an. Andere Richtung: Bluray Player an der Denon Anlage, zweiter Videoausgang (ja, der Denen hat zwei HDMI Ausgnge!!) zum 3d Epson Beamer, 3d Video super bertragen, kein Ruckeln, keine Aussetzer. Beide Male wurde ein 15m CAT7 Kabel verwendet. Wir sind begeistert. Werde jetzt mal Dauertest machen und sehen ob es so bleibt.

Easy to set up and use. It has allowed me to move my media boxes down to the mechanical room so as not to clutter my master bedroom two floors up. The infrared receiver and transmitter works as expected. I have not tested of the 4K compatibility yet. No issues.

Pour l’instant je ne constate aucun problme pour afficher du 1080P en 24 frame par Seconde .
Mes anciens convertisseurs taient trs sensible et l’image disparaissait lorsque j’actionnais un interrupteur dans la pice.
Je n’ai plus ce phnomne avec ces 2 botiers . Pas encore test en 4K mais c’est le but de la manuvre. Je prvois d’acheter un sony VPL 320ES
Had some initial problems – like being unable to get the IR facility to work. Then it did not play nicely with the splitter causing the second tv to lose sound when turning off the first. However, after some persistence and some friendly and helpful advice by email from AV Access it now works well and I can get 4K pictures (albeit 8 bit only) on both my TV’s. Picture quality much better. I think this represents good value for money compared with some of the other HD Base T extenders out there. It would have been nice if the technical chaps had been available on the end of a phone rather than to-ing and fro-ing by e-mail but the end result has been worth it.
Never did sort out the IR problem but I am now using the Sky Q Touch Remote (the new one with proper buttons) and the bluetooth on that is much more powerful and can control the Sky box from the adjoining room so no IR pass through needed.

It's not cheap, consider the fact that I'm just replacing a 1080p extender (a $50 dollars device). but it just works. 5 mins and my problem is solved. I haven't tried it with 4k though.

These work perfectly, out of the box. I’m using them over around 40m of cat-6 STP, and they’re more reliable than units costing several times their price.

Sur Ps4 l’hdr ne marche pas depuis la console. Il faut configurer la 4k en Yuv sans hdr et ne pas oublier de dsactiver l’uhd hdmi sur votre tlviseur sinon impossible d’avoir l’image.
Pour le reste a respire la qualit mais je n’en ai pas l’utilit puisque impossible d’utiliser des CPL avec.

J’avais achet un premier extender HDMI plus bas de gamme et j’avais rgulirement des pixels qui clignotaient l’cran.
Avec celui-ci le problme a disparu (je l’ai eu une fois mais il a suffit de dbrancher puis rebrancher le cble HDMI pour rgler le problme). De plus cet extender fait POE : l’extender qui envoie le signal alimente celui qui le reoit par le cble ethernet, ce qui simplifie l’installation et fait conomiser une prise de courant.
En clair c’est un produit efficace et de qualit.

No plastics on.this little box all metal and power source is connected and one end also you screw it in so the lead will not come out never seen this before on items at this price very good.

Wanted to write this review to specifically talk about the support from this company, I had disconnected my system for a few months while my home was going through renovations and when I went back to set it up I couldn’t get it to work again. AV Access’s customer support was very helpful trying to troubleshoot the issue and in the end when we couldn’t solve it, they sent me a new unit. I always say that a company can be judged be how they react when there are problems and they did an excellent job

Excellent product to duplicate a monitor situated in another room to a desktop PC 30 metres away. Various cheaper devices had been tried over my 30 metres of Cat 6 ethernet wiring with little success; they either failed after a short time, gave poor resolution or no result at all. I received excellent resolution with no degradation on the duplicate monitor with this HDBaseT unit.

I am so glad finding this unit with such a nice price. I just installed it to extend the 4K signal to my bedroom and it works perfectly. What impressed me the most is that the unit only needs to be powered one side which is really convenient.
