I would highly recommend this product if you have small kids and need to keep your cabinets locked.

We first bought the straps in front of the door but our toddler quickly learned to pull it off. This remains hidden and the lock is strong so our toddler will try to open the door, fail and move on. Adhesion seems strong and is age appropriate.

Could be easier to install but I got there after watching their online videos. The only other knock is that it is not very sleek so if you have cabinets with tight spaces eg washer behind a built in cupboard it may not fit perfectly. While it locks the door sticks out because the lock is too big to fit in between the washer and cabinet top.

I would highly recommend for anyone with kids.

This product is easy to install once you get the hang of it! A word of warning is that the adhesive is so strong that if you make a mistake, it’s hard to rectify. But once installed, it becomes second nature to use the magnet. I find the magnet mechanism better than the push locks, my little cousin figured out the push locks pretty quickly whereas my little one stands no chance of getting into the cupboards now. We love that the lock can be disabled, this means that when my little boy goes to my Mum’s she can enable the lock but disable them when my little one isn’t there (otherwise my Dad can’t figure out why the cupboard isn’t opening lol – maybe a good way of keeping him from getting the chocs!). Love that the pack comes with two magnets, my husband threw the magnet key away once and then closed the cupboard door before realising what he’d done. Thankfully, we keep the other magnet in the utility so he could use that key to retrieve the kitchen key! A slight downside is that we can’t fit them to some of our shallow drawers but we could fit them to the corner cupboards by attached the lock mechanism to the underside of the countertop. I think it’s good value for money having 10 locks supplied in the pack. Overall, I’d recommend these and I’m glad we chose them!!

These are literally a game changer! We have an open plan flat and our 1 yo son was constantly opening all our kitchen cupboards and pulling everything out, ripping off other self adhesive locks which were on the outside of the doors. And due to have two corner cupboards which are hinged in the middle we could not even use the screw in ones as they just were not working.
We were a bit dubious about these working but my husband installed them as soon as they came, a little bit fiddly to do apparently but it was worth it. Getting the knack right to open them takes a while but once you sort this they work a treat. I have already recommended them to other people for cupboard doors. The only thing we have not tried to fit them on a drawer as we have had no need.

I bought the Aycorn cupboard looks because of the excellent reviews and to support a small family business. They are to stop my grandson getting in my cupboards and what is great with these is that you can ‘unlock’ them on the days he’s not here and then slip the lock down just before he arrives and it is very quick to do. Once my husband (helped by my much more diy minded son-in-law) worked out how to install them (it took him a while!) they were fab. They are very sticky so don’t stick them in the wrong place. The magnetic release is very novel.

I have been so impressed by these locks I’ve decided to write my first amazon review. It took a bit of working out how to install them but, once you have, they are fantastic. Our 1 year old had been terrorising the cupboards but since these have been installed he has given up!

What I really like about them is that they don’t ruin the look of the cupboards (they are completely hidden from view), you can disable them for when the little one isn’t around, they don’t require any drilling and, finally, they seem to be super-strong (our little man has given them a thorough test!).

    Well worth the money. 5*.

The installation video was well put together and avoids having to read reams of instructions. The only problem I had was with the adhesive on one of the locks in that the lock came off when I applied too much pressure to open the door when it was still locked. I think this probably had more to do with the fact I omitted to to wipe the area with a dry cloth before applying the adhesive. If necessary I can stick it back with a small amount of superglue. All in all a clever product which I would recommend to others.

We used these in the kitchen to stop our 20 month old getting in the cupboards and draws, took a little time to install them but seem to be working and now he doesn’t even try anymore.
We also used them on a chest of draws however there was not enough surface area to stick the lock and although there is an option to add screws our son managed to pull it all apart. This is more down to the draws than the locks I would say.

We needed locks for kitchen cupboards seen as my daily life is filling the cupboards up after a 1 year old empties them. We did have the common locks with the plastic bit you press in however our little one kept trapping their fingers in the door, I didn’t know you could get different types of locks for cupboards and these magnetic ones are really good.
Easy enough to install, on a cupboard, not so much on drawer as the applicator is to big for the inside of the drawer. I haven’t installed on the drawer yet due to having to measure it out and having the time when I don’t have little hands trying to “help”. The adhesive is strong and they have given you some replacement, I drop a lock out of the applicator which stuck to the floor and still it stuck to the cupboard and hasn’t come off. The lock can fall out of the applicator when installing but just take your time and try not to have a little one being a “distraction”.
It takes a few days to get used to needing the magnet to unlock the doors and I did use the little stickers to mark where the lock is otherwise I am moving the magnet over the door for a while. I love how you can stick the magnet on the wall and it is really easy to get in and out of its seat. When I empty the dishwasher, I unlock the locks which you simply push the hook down so I do have to keep using the magnet, then click back up to lock.
Great product, I no longer have a little one scream because they have trapped their fingers and I no longer have to move all my cleaning products or breakables into the high cupboards.

I bought a pack of these to secure kitchen draws and cupboards. Fitting them was simple – the handy applicator means you can line up each lock with its latch, without any need for measurement.

Several months later most have stood up to the efforts of an inquisitive toddler, however the adhesive finally gave up on two of the latches. Fortunately a few spare pads are thrown in, but if you want to be absolutely sure you might want to screw things in place.

I thought the instructions weren’t too clear but once I watched the video it was a lot clearer. They seem to be holding up so far on the job. Time will tell if they will be able to withstand my little boy yanking on the handles wondering why the drawers not longer open. I would recommend these though.

I didn’t fit these for a while as my grandson was only a few months old, as soon as he started crawling I put them on the cupboards in the kitchen. they are excellent, he’s now nearly walking, so i’ve put them on the drawers too.
he pulls himself up with the cupboard handles and they have not budged, also they’ve had a few hard yanks by the adults, as we forget they are on, and I really love that we can unlock these when he’s not about, so were not constantly grabbing the magnet to unlock, this is a brilliant product, I would highly recommend and I will definitely buy them agai

I absolutely love these!! They are easy to install and you haven’t gotto screw into anything! The only thing I would suggest, is to put a sticker on the front of your door (we went with little coloured dots sticker) just so you know exactly where to put the magnet when trying to open them, seen as you have to be quite precise with placement! Makes things faster and easier when you need access to a cupboard and your toddler is also around! When they’ve gone to bed its a simple click to deactivate the catch so you can freely get in and out of your cupboards. Highly recommend.

Very easy to install – we got sent a video also to help do this correctly which was a nice touch. very neat, wouldn’t even know they were there just by looking. Unfortunately one of our locks hasn’t stuck properly but easy enough to fix as we will just screw on (cleaning cupboard – most important to be locked) would definitely recommend

These little beauty’s have made my life so much less stressful. No more emptying draws and cupboards. They were very easy to install and im useless at following instructions! They seem very sturdy and have good hold but I would personally still use some small screws for extra strength. They have holes where you can put screws in but they don’t come with any which would be my only con. also the added bonus of them being hidden so no more ugly plastic things stuck to my furniture

I did a bit of research before opting for these cupboard locks and with good reviews, thought I would give them a go.

I’ll get it out of the way early, I would definitely recommend these to anyone with an inquisitive child or one that’s starting to crawl etc.

They are really easy to install, make sure you read the instructions first but essentially, they come with a cradle in which you place the lock part of the system. You then line that up with the edge of the cupboard and with an adhesive strip, temporarily attach it to the inside of the cupboard. You then peel the back off the sticky pad on the lock mechanism and just close the door, with the sticky pad sticking to the inside edge of the cupboard door. The adhesion is really good but I made sure to apply a little extra pressure to aid the adhesion.

You then use a pencil to make a small mark on the edge of the cupboard which lines up with the cradle part, which acts as a guide for the second part of the mechanism. You then remove the cradle and attach the second part of the lock mechanism to the cupboard with another super sticky pad, lining it up with the pencil mark. The mechanism is now fitted and ideally should be left for 24 hours prior to using it to ensure firm adhesion. There are small round stickers which are clear but have a padlock symbol which you then stick on the outside of the cupboard to identify the location of the lock and aid opening.

The system is supplied with two magnets which can be wall mounted with a small bracket which utilises the same sticky type pad and to open the door, simply place the magnet against the padlock sticker and the door can be opened. If you’ve ever tried to put two magnets together with the same poles facing each other, you’ll know how these work!

Of note, there is a manual override option (if the little one is out of the way etc) where when the door is open, you simply click the lock mechanism to lock it open and the mechanism will then not engage – you just have to remember to re-engage it! This is particularly useful if you’re cooking or putting the shopping away to save you constantly using the magnet!

The one issue I have with these locks is not a design issue but more of a general issue with this type of lock that you need to keep getting the magnet to open the doors, which after a while becomes a bit of a faff! And if your family are anything like mine, the magnet is never put back in the holder so you have to go on a small mission to find the magnet before you can get to the contents of the cupboard!

That being said, I have bought two sets of these locks and overall, think they are great. My little one will stand at the kitchen cupboards and yank on the doors quite robustly with no failure to date.

    You then

into and line up with the edge of you

Very good locks, easy to fit and would recommend!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’d seen these used at my friends house and was a little miffed at the time how I couldn’t get a spoon out of the drawers as they just work so well! Come post lockdown this proved to be a winner as I bought these to lock all the kitchen cupboards in our office to reduce contact. May sound a bit extreme but rather than have to empty everything out of common areas I simply locked all cupboards with these and they really are effective at stopping adults gaining access as well as your little darlings. There are cheaper ones on the market but I picked these as they were recommended by my friend so I knew they worked. A little tricky to fit but the video instructions are easy to follow and I’m very happy with them. When unlocking, move the key downwards until you hear it click. As they are stuck on there’s no damage to your cupboards and will hopefully be taken off when this madness is ove

Kept putting off installing these as was difficult to find the time while looking after baby but once I’d done the first one it was so easy to do the rest, took a little time but did a few here and there. They have great strength, the door handles often get pull on but the locks have stuck tight. There was a corner two door cupboard and one draw that I was unable to fit them to because of the set up on the inside of the units, however I’m very pleased I was able to baby proof all the others.

Very well manufactured product and I like the idea, however, my son managed to open the drawers and cupboard around one week after they were installed. The 3M tape sealing isn’t great for those cupboarda and drawers that a child likes to open the most. In fact all the ones on top where he couldn’t reach properly are still in place.
If you want extra sealing it’s better putting some screws. I appreciate that the manufacturer has designed the product for it to be screwed in as well.

Absolutely amazing !!!!!! Was a little apprehensive about the product but once opened and watched the install video… WOW! I’ve used cupboard safety locks in the past. Unless you have a 10″ finger to open the lock… Then I seen this product. It actually works. My child has been pulling on the cupboards and hahaha… he can’t get into them! The stickers are strong (3M) so I knew there would be quality. Easy to install, back up holes for screws (if your child is popeye) and this fab ‘Magnet Key’ Takes a while to remember where you left it but honestly, this is an amazing product that I will be suggesting to all my parent friends. Price for the quality, it gets my ***** rating.

Easy to install, itruction are clear and there are videos on YT for you to understand better how to mount it in drawers.
The lock is not really small so for crowded small drawers maybe would be difficult to install.
For the rest is perfect. I have now the peace of mind that my baby won’t open any dangerous cabinets of drawers!

The locks are easy to install. They work well to keep little hands out of cupboards. However I have noticed that sometimes after opening a cupboard the lock gets stuck and the cupboard does not lock when closed again- you need to flip the lock to reset it to close again. You must ensure each time you close a cupboard that it remains locked. Overall I am happy with the product and I have purchased a second set already.

This product is really brilliant , extremely easy to install and use. No screws !!
Customer service is amazing and they have this feature where you can keep the lock in “open” position making things easier when you are cooking and need to open the cupboards more often than usual (and when the kids aren’t around).

Just make sure you avoid the door handle area while installing this kit (like the pictures attached)..I made a mistake and now it’s a bit difficult to unlock my undersink cupboard.

Brilliant product & Excellent customer service

Firstly my “but” in the headline isn’t technically a fault. It is clearly stated in the advert but I didn’t notice. My door is just over 40mm thick so it doesn’t work. As advertised it only works up to 38mm.

However, it’s incredible how many drawers and doors you decide to fit these to after you receive them. Initially I was going to use one of the 10 but I’ve used half a pack already.

Fitting them is super easy as they give you a little template/jig to fit them. One part slots easily into the jig then you stick it on and it ensures alignment is spot on.

I liked the fact they came with screw holes in case you decided the sticky pad wasn’t strong enough but trust me it is incredibly strong and you won’t need screws (you’ll struggle to remove a pad with fingers alone and a lot of force).

Since fitting these my toddler has lost interest in the cupboards under the sink etc. However it is annoying for the adults when you go to open a door and forget it’s now locked. The magnet system works perfectly but it can sometimes be fiddly to put it in the right place. You can disable the lock by clicking it into the “always open” position but I guess this defeats the point. Maybe a good feature for grandparents etc who only want babyproofing when the kids are around.

Great product as described. The mechanism for fitting them is really well thought through, but it is definitely important to read the instructions or look at the instructional video online or you could easily put parts the wrong way around. You have the option of adding screws to the internal latch and personally I would as my 13mth old is pretty strong.
I would also recommend putting the little sticker showing where the lock is positioned on BEFORE you lock the door for the first time, as opposed to trying to find it afterwards like me.

Fantastic product! Received the product three weeks ago and so far – no faults.

Before you receive the package they email you an “how to” video link (great thoughtful touch) which I viewed and was ready to fit the product as soon as it arrived (at that point I didn’t need the instructions).

Comes in a great package, well presented with additional adhesive pads, in addition to easy to follow instructions (not that I needed them after viewing the video).

These are very discreet, which is aspect I most favour. You cannot tell the cupboard doors/drawers have locks on (I chose not to use the stickers indicating the lock location).

Great product – will see if they withstand the test of time!

I used a whole range of products for our first child and never really found anything that did the job particularly well. For our 2nd child we found these and wow, what a difference. They have really nailed it. They’re simply to install with no need for screws. They are easy to operate (although I would have appreciated a 3rd magnet in the pack) and look the part too, i.e. you can’t see them at all when the door is closed.

We have quite thick doors so I was concerned that these magnets wouldn’t work, but honestly, I shouldn’t have worried, these work perfectly.

    Thanks guys, really well designed.

These are amazing safety locks. However, my kitchen drawers didn’t have the space for installation and I had to be resourceful as to how I would fit them. So I modified them a little and it has worked. Its been over 24 hours now, so fingers crossed my twins don’t manage to pull the drawers open. Great product, would recommend watching the installation video to understand how they’re fitted and checking the space on drawers and cupboards are free and flat before purchasing.

So far, so good. The locks work well but can sometimes lock open so we have to check the door is actually shut (I put this down to having a metal liner in the under sink cupboard that pushes the door out a bit though rather than it being a fault of the lock- I think sometimes it doesn’t quite get pushed in far enough).

Easy to install following the instructions and making sure the surface is clean. Surprisingly tough- I can accidentally open the cupboard and I haven’t yet managed to pull on off/ break it- so trust that it won’t submit to toddler rattling!

Added bonus is that the cupboards don’t look awful.

Our daughter is now fascinated with trying to open cupboards and drawers. These locks are the perfect solution.

They are silly quick to instal and work brilliantly. The keys work every time and as long as you have a couple around the kitchen, it becomes almost second nature to open them.

I really love the little lock stickers for the doors and drawers. Super helpful for reminding you where the lock is.

My only issue is that if the cupboard carcass isn’t totally square, the lock will hit the fastener and then push fully open to the locked-open setting. To avoid this if it’s happening to you, just set the lock part slight further back away from the drawer/door edge. This will prevent it going to the locked-open position and failing to engage.

I’ve given it five stars because it fully deserves it. The cupboard carcass issue is mine, not the design of the products.

    Thanks guys. Will happily recommend.

As a parent & a foster carer for over 31 years I have tried all sorts of things to keep the young ones out of cupboards. They were normally a nightmare to fit/use or the little loves sussed them out & found how to open the cupboard doors.
These AYCORN locks are brilliant, whoever designed the fitting tool deserves an award for ingenuity it’s so easy I had fitted the 10 locks in a matter of minutes. The 3m tape is more than strong enough to hold the catches without screws just ensure the surfaces you are adhering too are clean & dry.
The operation is simple just hold the magnet in front of the lock & it pops open, if you are working in the kitchen you can flick the latch to permanently open so you don’t have to use the magnet.
In the pack you are supplied with 10 locks, 2 key magnets, 1 reusable fitting tool & spare adhesive pads, there are comprehensive instructions but I would recommend watching the online video to see how easy it is.
A well made well thought out quality item if you need child proof cupboard door/drawer locks don’t hesitate these are the bees knees.

We purchased these for the kitchen cupboards, however we will definitely now be using them in many other places around the house.
Installation is very straight forward and very easy.
I would recommend leaving the locks open for 24 hours to allow the adhesion to become stronger before locking them and testing them as the 1st one I tested without leaving came off, but we have no problems after leaving for 24hours.
They are not unsightly like the normal cheaper door locks that you see, but instead they are very well concealed and people do not know they are there unless you tell them.
Very happy with this purchase, and even better to be helping a small business at this time.

Golden Review Award: 55 From Our UsersExactly what it says – easy to install and works completely.

Only feedback would be – The best place to install is typically at handle level but I can not fit the magnet behind the handle and magnet is not strong enough so maybe a smaller magnet to unlock or a wider magnet installed. Would really help with opeping doors/drawers one handed.

That being said if I needed more of these I would buy again without looking around for alternatives.

I started out frustrated and assumed our cupboards were too thick (2.8cm) but these are fabulous. In case it’s useful, here’s what I found helped:

    1) Watch the video. I know it’s obvious but it immediately makes it clear where to place/ position each piece to install. Takes 2min to watch, and 2min to install.

    2) The “lock” and “unlock” settings are slightly counter-intuitive. You’d expect “lock” to be when the catch is firmly in place, and “unlock” when you can wobble the catch back and forth, but it’s the other way around. We couldn’t understand why, when we tested the magnet directly on the lock, it didn’t snap into place to lock. That’s because the act of using the magnet simply temporarily pulls back the catch. Which leads me to my next point…

    3) Once installed, you have to hold the magnet over the lock and open the door at the same time. It doesn’t “unlock” the cupboard so much as temprarily hold back the latch whilever the magnet is held in place. Once you get the hang of it, it’s very straightforward. We have very thick cupboard doors and drawers and I just assumed they were too thick and the magnet was too weak. But it was a user error, thankfully (!)

    4) The magnets are quite site-specific so the stickers are really handy – you have to align it just-so from the outside for the catch to open.

Anyway, a fantastic, elegant solution. Much better than the plastic push-down child locks of the 80s where little fingers could still get trapped in an opening. Very discreet and easy to use, and a good temporary solution which means we’ll be able to return the house to normal in a few (??) years time without drilling holes etc in our cupboards.

What to say…. They do the job and they do it very well!

Nicely packaged if you were looking to get it as a gift for someone, instructions are clear and the online video is even easier still to follow.

Installation is a piece of cake (under 2 minutes per lock once I had done the 1st couple) and as long as you follow the instructions I don’t see having any issues with them, one thing I would point out to look out for is the catch plate is to be level with the edge of the cupboard, now the 1st catch caught me out because on our doors we have the little gel pads to stop doors banging if you close them too hard… This means the door doesn’t close enough for the latch to engage…. No real issue, with 2 easy fixs, take the rubbers off or mount the catch plate slightly further forward to compensate, thankfully the manufacturer put a couple of extra fixing pads in the box so you’ve got a couple of practice runs if you need to!

I saw some reviews saying the locks failed and fell off, all I can say to that is they can’t have followed the instructions, because these things stick like poo to a blanket! Clean and dry the surface, warm the pads lightly, leave 24hrs to adhere fully, I tested them minutes after fitting and no issue, the fact you can switch between locked and unlocked mode is brilliant as well, soon as the boys in bed we can unlock them all whilst we’re cooking and just pop them into lock again after.

The only other thing I’d mention is the lock symbol stickers are clear with a black lock so would not be in your face on regular units, we have gloss black doors so you can just about see there’s a clear dot on the door, no issue for us, just an observation.

Overall extremely happy with the product and for the cost I consider them great value too, we’ve just ordered our next set for littluns bedroom.

I read some of the bad reviews before ordering the product and was a bit unsure but then given all the good reviews, I went ahead.

This product is not hard to install, really. I’m not a DYI guy and managed to install them… so yeah, quite easy. However it’s probably best you watch their installation video online just to make sure you know how it works because you may realise (like I did after buying them) that these locks don’t work with all types if drawers.

The adhesive seems ok, managed to tear one after incorrectly placing/closing the lock but had to force it, doubt my child will manage the same.

    I would recommend the product.

    These things are great.

You can switch them off if you don’t need the so people don’t get pissed off.

They stop the cupboard or drawer even opening a little bit so no room to trap fingers.

They can’t be seen from the outside so if you have some furniture pride your piece will still look as you like it.

Little bit fiddly to install but everything has a payoff.

Hit some for our old house and now have just got more for our new house. My wife’s family has a holiday house and we got some for there too. Ideal because you can switch them off so if people go with no kids they don’t need to use them.

    Really top marks for this.

I must admit I was a little apprehensive about relying on essentially 3M tape to keep our daughter from opening our kitchen cupboards and drawers (you can also use screws if you wish), and subsequent opening via a magnet. I’m pleased to say these are very good quality and the 3M tape is plenty strong enough. Installation is simple and quick. My only suggestion would be that the kit comes with some form of little sticker to act as a marker on the exterior of the cupboard door/drawer as it’s not always possible to mount the locks and strikers in the same place on each application. The sticker would make placing the magnet in the correct place much easier. This is a small thing which I will take care of my self but perhaps a suggestion for the manufacturer to improve their product. That aside, this is a fantastic product which is quick to fit, doesn’t leave unsightly screw holes behind and most importantly a safe and effective way of toddler-proofing your kitchen and other rooms.

Edit – the kit does in fact come with small stickers with the image of a lock on.

Nice hidden locks for our kitchen cupboards, and strong enough that even when my little beast is playing Tarzan off the doors they stay shut. Great for cooking with as the locks can be disabled with a flick so you can keep going through drawers and such.

Probably one of the best cupboard locks for a part time parent/guardian as they are both hidden and can be turned on or off to suit.

    2 points of advice:
The location of the lock is important! Make sure you can get the magnet to the back side of the latch without cupboard handles in the way!

Mind the opening direction of your doors, if it’s a corner cupboard, the master door can pull down on the hinges slightly, so if little one is swinging on that door it can open even when locked. I’ve found that bottom is best for a lot of the doors in my kitche

Needed to find some decent locks to keep little fingers out of our cupboards. This is now the second set of these locks that we have bought as we were so impressed with the first lot which we fitted to the kitchen cupboards that when we decided to buy our new entertainment cabinets for our front room we knew these would be ideal at stopping are 15 month old little Whirlwind from constantly opening and closing the doors and drawers.
These locks are so easy to fit and the pads are extremely strong although in our first set we did also receive some screws to use as well as the pads well wind from constantly opening and shutting the doors and drawers.
These locks are so easy to fit and the pads are extremely strong although in our first set we were also be sent some screws to use as well as the pads. In the second lot the manufacture has decided to no longer supply these but luckily I still had enough leftover although I do find this to devalue the product slightly in my mind and really suggest that they go back to supplying the screws.

If you are looking for some safety locks for your cupboards THIS IS IT! I have these installed in our kitchen for 2 months now, they’re doing a great job! Really useful and really handy to “turn off” the lock after your little one goes to bed etc, by a simple click.
A bit tricky to get used to using a “key” to unlock them, so we keep the key in it’s base stuck to the cupboards above, but fab product and easy to use for all visitors to the house/babysitters/grandparents etc.
I would 100% recommend watching the YouTube videos for installation (aka where to stick the pieces) you only need a pen/pencil, no screws or anything.
If you’re in 2 minds about which locks to buy GET THESE you won’t be sorry!
Also really speedy reply from seller , excellent customer service!

This is what you’re looking for!

This is a brilliant product, I have been a childminder for 20 years, and there are so many products that are poor quality and don’t last long, this product is brilliant, I bought them as our sink was replaced with a sink unit with the cabinet of two doors, but it doesn’t have much room to fit standard safety latches, so I bought this on a whim, but I am so impressed, as nothing on outside of doors so doesn’t damage the exterior, and no need to screw in but you can as holes to do if needed, the adhesive is very good, only downside is instructions, I ended up going online to website and they had a video which made total easy way to install, very pleased and I would highly recommend to other parents or childcare providers

For 11 month child these locks are the one, went through 4 different types, these were easy to install! Read the manual tells you how,so simple.

Dont know why people are complaining hard to install or people lock them selfs out…

do one lock see it’s working then do exact the same on the other one, then for drawers same thing try the first time got it right do the rest exact the same.. get 2 spare sticky replacements in my opinion should be more than that incase people do something wrong, so you get 2 spare sticky stuff incase you make 2 mistakes, you get one spare sticky strip for lock alignment stickiness stays just enough for 10 lock alignment. Cleaned all area where the locks were going, slapped them on as instructed make sure you have a pencil boosh boosh boosh on on on.

Locks keep cupboards and drawers shut little man tries and gets no where and goes off else where. So far no issues, will be purchasing more for other peoples homes that he visits.

This is my 2nd magnetic child safety lock after my previous locks adhesive went and all the “keys” smashed on our tiled kitchen floor.

These locks are massive step up in quality from my previous lock. The adhesive is 3M so you know it’s going to last, the “key” looks solid and the locking mechanism is sound.

Some people have complained that it’s difficult to install. I disagree. These locks have to be precisely placed, so there is an element of accuracy required when installing, however the installation tool does the hard part for you. Unlike my previous child locks, there is no measuring, adjusting etc required.

I’d recommend watching the 5min video advertised on the manual, this was much more helpful than the still pictures in the manual.

We fitted a different type of safety lock, specifically on the TV unit draw, our one year old yanked it off. We fitted a different brand again and she once again yanked the draw open, both of these were the type that adhere to the outside.
These locks have an instant benefit of being hidden, they don’t attract the draw and cupboard door ninja to come over and investigate.
They’re very very simple to install thanks to the installation tool included, that amazing little gadget was well thought out, well done to whomever thought of that. You can literally have a lock installed inside 30seconds.
The adhesion so far seems solid but as mentioned above they’re not being tested as much as the previous ones were anyway.

I will be asking my partner to share these locks to her baby group on Facebook.

Brilliantly easy to install, hidden gems.

I think everyone knows that when picking child locks there are 4 considerations:-
    1. How quick are they to install?
    2. Do they stay stuck?
    3. Do they stop the children getting in to the cupboards?
    4. Value for money.
I would have to say on items 1, 3 (generally) and 4 these are brilliant…unfortunately item 2 isn’t the best…so far 4 have come unstuck… 2 due to me forgetting they were attached in the first place so pulling them off and 2 due to my youngest pulling on them. There are spare stickers provided (plus you can screw then if you want to) so this isn’t the end of the world as fixing them is so easy but nonetheless a consideration.
Generally a great product if only for the fact you can install each lock in about 10 seconds!

This is such a brilliant product. I’m so impressed with the neat fit but also they just work. The ability to switch between the lock and unlock position is very clever. The temple used to install them is brilliant and makes fitting so simple but also so accurate. I installed about 20 of these in under an hour. I have an 11 month old who is very big and strong for his age and is using all his might to pull open the doors and no issues. I read that some people were having issues with adhesion but I installed them, gave them 24 hours in the unlocked position before being tested by my son. This obviously gave the glue time to cure and they’ve been flawless since. Well done, great produc

Bought these to stop our little toddling 1 year old from accessing our kitchen cupboards and they work surprisingly and fantastically well! Very impressed at how easy they are to install (following the instructions on the video that they kindly send to you) and given that no screws are required you would struggle to open the cupboards without the magnetic part. Word of warning…do not stick them on cupboards deeper than recommended as the magnet doesnt open the catch – i did this on our under stairs cupboard and found out exactly how tough they are to open!! Cant recommend this product enough – easy to install, works better than expected, no drilling, no mess..just peace!

I’m not one to write much reviews especially where there are to many 5 star review that I’m typically dubious of but this product is the easiest to apply and works in ways that the strap with the two sticky ends cannot work.

The only issue I have found is that I need to place the latch elements a little behind the edge of what the guide shows in order for the hook to be able to latch on securely.

Also the sticky back is nice but they have screw holes as well and I’ve put one small screw for extra security.

This product also looks much better than the strap types because everything is housed on the inside.

If you’ve tried other kinds of child security things and the don’t work properly for the kind of cupboards, I would definitely recommend these.

The only type of drawers they don’t work on is lower pull out drawers since there is no fixed was to latch on to.

Just before our little one was born we had a lovely new kitchen fitted, and it looks great. Now that our daughter is getting older she was forever opening all the kitchen cupboards trying to steal Jaffa cakes (she’s gets that from her mum) we didn’t want ugly white clips on the outside of the doors, nor did I want to start screwing stuff to the inside of the new doors but something had to be done. Then I came across these beauties, they only stick on so can be removed and aren’t visible. They work brilliantly, our daughter hangs all her weigh off the pan drawer trying to open it but the adhesive doesn’t shift. In conclusion, they are inexpensive, easy to install, don’t cause any damage to your kitchen and keep Jaffa cakes safe.

So as my baby has started crawling I was looking for something to stop him getting in the kitchen cupboards and the cupboards in the tv stand, I looked at a few products but found they were very unsightly and weren’t what I was looking for, I saw this but was unsure as I saw lots reviews saying that they don’t stick and come off very easily but as it was what I was looking I bought one pack.

within a few hours I’d had an email from the product producer with a video showing how to use the product.

When it came the following day I got straight to fitting them to the cupboards I used the instructions it came with rather than the video,
What a great idea and extremely easy to fit, I left them for 24 hours for the adhesive to set before putting them in the lock position, I have tried out of interest to pull the door with a fair amount of force and the door didn’t budge so a baby/toddler couldn’t do it, I’d say if you read an follow the instructions it is a great product and works really well.

I installed 2 boxes worth of these around our house and love them! The adhesion is surprisingly good (which worked against me when I installed one on a bit of cupboard that I shouldn’t have, and had to prise it off with a knife!). I love the fact this is completely invisible, unless you choose to put a tiny sticker on the outside of the cupboard door to mark the spot. They can be used on the top, bottom or side of the inside of the cupboard (and works for drawers too). I found these easy enough to install, but would suggest these tips: (1) If you’re not installing all of them at once, make sure you put the label back over the applicator tape, otherwise it does lose a bit of its sticky if left exposed. (2) Leave the catch in the unlocked position until you’re absolutely sure you’ve got the positioning correct. I had to re-do one because I’d failed to check that the cupboard handle wasn’t in the way of where you need to place the magnet ‘key’. (3) When deciding where to put the marker, I found it easiest to have the cupboard door open so I could see the mechanism working best.

Great product, so simple to fit, watches the video on YouTube, so simple to install take 10s per cupboard/draw. Shocked how strong the sticky pads are after warming them and leaving 24h. Keeps the little one out and the odd adult when they forget,
Magnetic keys are simple to use, we find pressing the door slightly when opening helps release the catch, the 7 year old picked it up so quick that it allows her to still get access with out adults unlocking and the feature to lock them so don’t need to be used is great when kids in bed/out of the house so you don’t have to keep unlocking them.

Also no lasting damage screwing them in to the cupboards/ door fronts, and you wouldn’t know you had them on completely hidden, we opted out putting the lock stickers as we placed the locks just lower than than the Handel so we could find the lock to open i

This are so simple to fit I did most of my cupboards in less than 10 minutes.

What I would like is extra sticky pads. Completely my fault not properly reading the instructions but I fitted the first catch wrong so had to pull it off, also I never told my husband how they worked that first day then went out haha so he broke into a cupboard so that’s 2 catches that now don’t stick at all we’ll.

I don’t like the lock stickers but they are necessary I wish they were a lighter colour so that they were more discreet against my gloss white kitchen.

All in all though they were much easier to fit than the locks I had when my 8 year old was at this stage and there’s no way my very inquisitive 10 month old is getting in the cupboards.

Excellent product to keep babies and adults out of drawers!

Installation is very easy and seller emailed an instruction video separately which was nice. However didn’t need it was simple enough for any diyer. 2 tips though –

    1. I would use the screws included as well, not for kids but adults who might try to force the drawer open… as the install is so discrete you may forget the lock is there… doh! But dont screw in till your happy with the lock engaging properly re. Next point below.

    2. Using the special installation attachment gives a very tight fit sometimes and if you dont mind a small give on the lock, leave 1mm extra space when fitting the lock plate. Then you dont need to push the door in hard to engage the lock.

The kit includes spare adhesive pads if you want to move the lock or make a mistake.

    Great buy overall…!

Really like these magnetic locks. I can be a bit of a dimwit when it comes to any kind of DIY, even with instructions, but even I managed to do it (eventually…)
Definitely recommend watching the videos on the website.

I had a bit of trouble initially getting the lock to stick to the cupboard door when removing it from the applicator but that was easily remedied when I just pulled the lock out of the applicator a smidge more.
I also got quite confused with locking and unlocking it even after removing the key from its holder but then I watched the rest of the installation video and realised it should lock immediately and you just unlock – put the lock even further into the “locked” position and worked well. Told you, dimwit!
Absolutely no dramas when installing on a drawer.
    Adhesive is really strong.

And Aycorn have prepared for morons such as myself by knowing that someone is inevitably going to drop one after removing the paper off the adhesive and get it stuck to something else making it unusable, so they’ve provided spare adhesives!!

    Definitely recommend!.

We really did not want to have to drill into our cupboard to fix catches but knew our toddlers safety was the most important thing. Saw these and wasn’t expecting too much as they were using adhesive instead, however, we are so impressed. Our son loves opening cupboards and these have stopped him from doing so. The quality is great, once you can make sense of the instructions it really is an easy process to fit. Adhesion is really good. We put a tiny sticker dot on the outside of cupboard as to where the magnet should be places because it’s quite specific and unlike ones previously owned that swipe across, you need to hold it there whilst opening. I’m not 100% sure that my son won’t be able to pull these open in 6 to 12 months time when he’s 2 year old, but for the cost and the ease of fitting, it’s worth every penny. Great product, easy installation, great price.

Love these cupboard locks! Unlike the traditional catches these magnetic locks really hold the doors closed, leaving no gaps for inquiring little fingers to get squashed in. What we also like is that you can have the locks in open and closed positions which is great for us as we only need to have the locks set on the days when our grandson visits and we can have the doors opening normally the rest of the time. Ingenious idea. They were easy to install and we are sure the adhesion is fine, but with a belt and braces work ethic hubby used the screws too so we can’t say for certain just how good the stick would be. Overall very pleased – although am sure the grandson wouldn’t agree as his investigative forays into the depths of Noni’s cupboards has been bought to a halt!

Very impressed by the Aycorn cupboard locks.
Have been using successfully for the last 2 months on both cupboard doors and drawers and not had a single one detach. Therefore adhesion is very good. My 1 year old son pulls hard on them and they’ve not opened when properly closed.

If you want to be sure about the locks not coming off, optional screws are provided.

The magnets are strong enough to open the catches easily through our 2cm thick wooden doors. The set comes with handy stickers which you put on the face of the doors to let you know where to put the magnets to release the catch.

Easy to install once you watch the video. The catches can be installed in most orientations, enabling them to work with most configurations of doors/drawers and carcasses.

A slight niggle is that the catches can sometimes get stuck in the open position, but a little WD-40 did the trick and they now work well.

Will buy again when all 10 are used and need to secure more areas.

Bought these as we Foster children of all ages and wanted to keep them safe, so we put them on our knife draw and Cupboard where we keep detergents etc. They are very easy to install when following the instructions. Strong 3m adhesive that has lasted over a year so far. No need to use the screws that come in the pack. If you want to keep your children safe these are great.

Only downfall is that it can be a bit tricky to locate the magnet especially if the material is quite thick. We just placed a small piece of tape on the outside of the door so we could quickly locate the magnet.

Fantastic product. As far as safety locks come this is by far the best out there, I did a lot of research before purchasing these locks and I’m glad I went for these.

The 3m adhesive pads are very secure and haven’t moved since attaching them (just remember to clean the surface they attach to first). The product comes with an applicator to help aline the lock on the inside of the cupboard. The magnet key to open the lock (once attached) is plenty strong enough to work on doors up to 1 1/2 inches think, which is thicker than most standard kitchen cupboard doors.

The kit comes with additional screws if you decide that the lock and catch needs extra fixing (which you shouldnt), also with additional 3m adhesive pads.

Once the locks are attached and the doors are closer, the kit provides little unobtrusive lock stickers for the outside of the door to allow you to locate the lock and place the key.

If you do purchase this sagety lock kit you will not be disappointed, I promise.

We have just reached the point where we need to start thinking about baby proofing, and I really liked the idea of these locks – magnets instead of having to contort your hand to press hidden catches?! Amazing!
Well, I am SO glad I bought these! They were so easy to apply and the instructions were very clear! We did have an issue applying to two of our kitchen drawers (because there wasn’t quite enough space between them) so I reached out to the seller for advice. I was expecting to have to wait a day or so for a reply…
By the time I had made myself a cup of tea, there in my inbox was a wonderful, helpful email! Emailing Janine felt like talking to an old friend, which is so rare – usually it feels like you’re being a hindrance to the company. Our ‘issue’ was resolved before I had finished my brew!
I wish I could give this more stars, but I will certainly be recommending this to my parenting friends!!!

Having used child locks for cupboards 10 years+ ago things have come on. These work on bread bins (pictured), drawers and wooden cupboards. A strong magnetic key opens the lock and is so hidden you may need to use the provided decals to show the unlock position. Install in minutes – A clever template guide holds the latch in the desired position, closing the cabinet gently sticks it. with a pencil mark the position of the template and that’s where you stick the ramp down. and your done. Leave the pads to harden for a day while they set hard before giving it any serious pulling. If you get the position wrong and the door doesn’t latch use the butt of a table knife to flick the fitting off before it sets hard and you may restick it or use the provided screws. The latch has an off and on position – if there are no kids around you may flick the latch off and the cupboard works normally. the key has its own wall holder too so it never gets lost. A great design and works perfectly.

Purchased this 2 months ago and would say that it does what it is supposed to do. Previously, 1 year old daughter could not stop in opening the kitchen cabinets and needed a solution.

Found this on Amazon and decided to purchase. Easy to install with the instructions and is discreet compared to the traditional straps used to baby proof cabinets.

Was amusing at first on the face of the 1 year old trying to open the cabinets/drawers. She gave up and now doesn’t even try to open them even if accidentally left unlocked.

What stopped me giving this 5 stars is that the magnet is often misplaced and a pain to look for even with the 2 supplied.

Buy these! They’re amazing!! Took me about 2 mins to install, you basically just stick them on with help from the applicator in the pack. When the cupboard is closed you can’t see that there’s anything keeping it closed. I’m using this on my tv cabinet so I’m storing the ‘key’ behind the lip where baby can’t see it. The key has a screw on cap that you also stick down so that’s really handy. My 8.5kg baby hangs his whole weight off the handle and it’s bit budged. Obviously don’t leave children unattended but these give peace of mind when your back is turned. Great value 10 locks and 2 keys and they sell replacement keys if you lose yours. I’m going to use these on everything!

Amazing - can't tell it's there and totally baby proof

They are easy enough to fit, although I did screw them, I wouldn’t trust the sticky pads alone for the amount of use they would get in a kitchen. The sticky pads make it straightforward to line-up then just screw for added strength. I didn’t use the screws supplied but then I never do use screws supplied with anything as they tend to be poor quality. (not sure what quality the ones supplied are)

They seem to work well although I only fitted them and don’t have to live with them so can’t comment on reliability. They come with a little lock transfer logo and I did use these as it allows the user to locate the right release spot easily.

This is a great idea and when it works it works well. Installation was easy on standard cupboard doors but a little more tricky on drawers. Main issue we have had is the locks can be a little too sensitive and when trying to engage the locks when closing the cupboard, it doesn’t always catch first time and then the lock ends up clicked in the open position. Can sometimes take multiple times of unclicking the lock and then closing the door before it finally engages. Once it’s on it does the job well. We only used the tape supplied, but on one or 2 cupboards this has started to need replacing and finding the right type of tape in the right size is proving tricky (we have used the spare tape provided in the installation of the tricky drawers), does the seller sell tape too? Overall a good product.

I think these locks are great, much better than ones we have used in the past. The fitting of them is relatively straightforward if you follow the instructions and use the applicator, but you may need to readjust them sometimes afterwards. We didn’t want to screw them onto cupboards so have used the sticky pads only, which means they do sometimes come off if someone yanks the cupboard door too hard. I have actually screwed down a few of the catches now as the pads had lost their stickiness. You are provided with a few extra sticky pads but would really like to have received more. We also found that the locks were too wide to fit the type of drawers we had, so managed to quite easily hacksaw the two brackets off either side to make them narrower so they would fit (See photo). Another suggestion for the manufacturer Aycorn is to put a hole through the magnetic key as I can never find one when I need it and would quite like to hang one round my neck or have it on a key ring!

Definitely the best child safety locks!

Bought these as we have a lot of cupboards at floor level in the kitchen and our 14 month old is at that age where he wants to explore(!) I found these easy enough to install, but definitely read through the instructions and watch the video if you’re unsure. My husband finds it a little tricky to locate the magnets but you can use the stickers they provide (I have no issue with using them so think it’s just practice!)
A few months in and 2 of the cupboards have needed screws as the sticky pads started to come off, but the others are holding fine and it took 2 minutes to install screws. (There are screws included with the set so don’t even have to source those!) I’m really impressed with these and would thoroughly recommend them. They give me a rare moment of peace of mind whilst my toddler follows me round the kitchen!

I was fairly impressed by these – they feel well engineered, and worked well without the need for any permanent drilling and / or surface attachments. They come with all the spares and extras you might need (including spare sticky pads, optional stickers to indicate where to put the magnet to unlock, and even screws for the toughest situations, not that I needed the latter). They fitted on all, the cupboards we have, and even some – but not all – of the kitchen drawers: you need a reasonable unobstructed space and a side that can accommodate the catch – for example my photos show how they work with deep-fronted Ikea-type drawers, but with shallow ones there’s not sufficient space. Installation was straightforward (but make sure you put the main part the right way round in the mounting tool!). It’s worth noting that there is a ‘lock open’ option – that effectively latches the hook in the open position – so if you’re not expecting small children around for a while but want to keep the option to have child safe cupboards, you can stop using them for as long as you like, without having to actually remove them.

A good quality, well designed produc

Great product – works better than any other I’ve seen so far – and its invisible, so no tiny hands trying to work out how to open the catch.
    Highly recommended.
Basically you attach the catch inside the drawer, and use a magnet on the outside to open the catch, allowing the drawer to open.
The catch can be set to permanently open mode, so if the little one isnt around, you can have easy access to the drawer – and with a simple click you can reactivate the catch.
The magnet is very strong, and has no problem getting through our drawers, and then sits high on the fridge out of the way of the toddler. (it also comes with a stick on holder for the magnet if you have no metal surfaces to store it on)

The parts are well made, and the stickers are top quality 3M – there are also screws included if you do need to add extra strength (i’ve not needed them)
    11/10 !

Golden Review Award: 120 From Our UsersThese are a very neat solution as I wanted to avoid drilling into the cupboards / drawers. I have only just applied them but they feel very strongly attached so I feel confident they will last. The customer service was good (received emails with tips) and I’d really recommend visiting the Aycorn website to watch the short installation video. They were a bit fiddly to stick on where there was limited space but I think much easier than if I’d have tried to drill / screw in. The video I have added to the review is just to show how the magnet works on the catch itself (I wanted to know this before I stuck them on!)

So didn’t want to use something that would require drilling or screwing a lock in so found these magnetic locks on here and after seeing reviews from many on here I ordered one.

Installation is straightforward once you read the instructions and there is a youtube video link telling you how you install it. Since installing it our 2 year old has now got fustrated not being able to open the cupboard doors and now has given up placing his attention away from it. They are really strong and would need an adult to open it.

And to open the door all you need is the supplied magnet which unlocks the hooks so you can open it. So all our spare plates, pots, pans etc. is out of harms way.

I would definitely recommend this for any parent out there who need a solution where A it works and B you want a clean install which is removable and doesn’t leave any damage.

Difficult to fault these, to be honest. I bought 1 set for my house to test them out, and have since ordered 3 more sets, 1 more for me, and 1 each for my sister and mother.

We tried other types but these were all deemed impractical (you needed extra space around the door to accommodate your finger or other unlocking tool), insecure (it didn’t take much force for the locking mechanism to be pushed out of the way) or limited (no way to ‘permanently’ unlock them without removing the lock.

These magnetic locks don’t suffer from any of those problems – the cupboard doesn’t have to be opened at all to unlock the door, the lock mechanism is a ‘hook’ rather than ‘shelf’ design, so once engaged in the locking slot, nothing short of applying a great deal of force to physically break something or overcome the adhesive/screws is going to open the door without the magnet, and they can be locked unlocked, as it were.

They feel extremely well-made and strong, and the quiet click when they lock and unlock is very satisfying 😉

The little padlock stickers were a welcome discovery as well – as I was fitting the locks, I was already trying to decide how to mark the best location to apply the magnet, and was extremely pleased when I found the stickers.

The adhesive on the 2 parts of the lock is very strong – so don’t press them into place until you are absolutely sure they are positioned correctly – and for extra security you can use the supplied screws.

The ability to place the locks in an unlocked state – i.e. no need to used the magnet – is a life-saver for those of us without children of our own, but who have family children over once or twice a week. 2 minutes to go round and unlock all the cupboards after they’ve gone saves days of annoyingly forgetting to use the magnet, and also makes it less likely that the locks will come loose – the more often they are opened without unlocking, the more often the adhesive is going to be weakened.

If I had to pick 1 relatively trivial negative – and if Amazon allowed half stars, this might have resulted in the loss of such – it would be fitting tool. Not sure quite what purpose it serves. I tried following the instructions (for which a magnifying glass would have been useful), but couldn’t get things to stick to or stay in contact with other things, and after a couple of failed attempts, resorted to lightly sticking the parts of the cupboard and a bit of trial and error. The claim of installation in seconds seems a little optimistic unless you are really stretching by saying that minutes are just seconds all working together 😉 I can fit them much faster by eye than with the fitting tool. I’m sure that 30 seconds in YouTube would give 100 videos of people showing how to use the fitting tool, but after 2 failed attempts following the instructions, I lost interest in it.

Having been using these for a few weeks now, I don’t know why anyone would use anything else.

Golden Review Award: 54 From Our UsersAs with many parents, our daughter has reached the age of crawling and exploring, hence we needed something to secure our kitchen cupboards. With that being said, we didn’t want ugly plastic locks on the outside of the cupboards, or anything that leaves a lasting mark, as we’ll likely be selling in the next twelve months.
Aycorn magnetic locks were recommended by a friend, a quick google and Amazon search, and they were promptly ordered. The packaging and presentation is excellent, with purpose made plastic boxing that prevents everything from falling about and breaking during postage.
YouTube has a specific Aycorn channel, demonstrating how to fit the locks. Literally within the space of 30 minutes, all of our kitchen cupboards were fitted with a magnetic lock, with a small and discrete ‘lock’ sticker on the outside, indicating where to place the ‘key’. Our daughter has tried to open them, she hasn’t been able to, she won’t be able to for many years, as neither of us can open the cupboards without the ‘key’.
A fantastic idea, using such a simple method, with great results! I highly recommend and we’ll be ordering some more.

I’m very impressed with the locks. I got them to keep a new puppy out of the food and cleaning supplies cupboards. They leave no room for paws at all, unlike the traditional plastic catches, which meant she gave up almost immediately. I wish I’d had them a few years ago – I used to have cats who learned to open ANYTHING, and they’d spend all night rattling the cupboards with child locks on!

Another advantage over the traditional child locks is that my dad, who has arthritis, can use these.

They were very easy to install – take the tip about using a hair dryer on the adhesive, because it does seem to make it much stronger. I like the added touch of the little transparent lock stickers, which you put on to remind you where the key needs to go. They look quite contemporary.

I’ve not had these locks for long so I can’t speak as to their robustness, but they seem very solidly attached and I can’t see them coming loose any time soon.

I’m also very impressed by the customer service, having spent time reading lots of reviews and Q&As before buying this product. Clearly the owner is right behind his brand, which is great.

Golden Review Award: 86 From Our UsersMy 9 year old has severe autism and was constantly going into the cupboards and smashing plates and cups/ throwing and spilling food and drink onto the floor.
I bought a pack of these in the hope they’d keep him out, and was so impressed I bought a second pack.
They’re very easy to install, (although I had to re-do the first one), and simple to use, especially with the provided stickers to show where locks are.
Two magnetic keys are provided, although my son has gotten hold of one of ours so it is now missing in action.
I wonder if the makers provide spare keys on their own?
All in all a great product and one that has saved us a lot of money, hassle and sanity!

Golden Review Award: 109 From Our UsersI ordered these and while installing them I didn’t realise that they came “open” as a default. I thought they were defective. I contacted the manufacturer and 10 MINUTES later I got a reply. I was able to install the locks successfully and I LOVE THEM. They look so neat! No awful white straps everywhere. We only put the lock stickers to remember where we have to place the key and honestly… because they look modern and minimalist!
The manufacturer is really behind his product and customer service is unbelievable. Look no further: buy these!

    The best!

Golden Review Award: 62 From Our Users(Actually posted by Helena Mellows). It’s not very often that you buy a product and can’t find fault with it. These locks have transformed our week – our 17 month old twins are into everything. The kitchen drawers, DVD cupboard (yes we still have DVDs) and bathroom cabinet are all emptied on a thrice daily basis.
Everything about these locks has been beautifully thought out from the lock itself – to the re-usable applicator to make life very straight forward – to the discreet little stickers that you use to indicate where to place your magnetic key.
I LOVE them and am back to buy a second pack.
Now Aycorn, could you please develop something to stop them climbing on chairs to get to my knives on the kitchen worktop…?

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe Aycorn safety lock works well and out of sight. A sticker with the lock can be placed at the location of installation, as a reminder of where the magnet to be placed. The lock installation was initially unclear, but after installing one then each instruction and picture steps were easier to understand. The style of installation can seem Limited and if not installed in a vertical position, it can be difficult to open. First of all install with the sticky pad, rather than immediately installing with screws, and practice the movement of the rocking part of the lock. If all works OK then can install the stationary latching point. The sticky pad on the locks are quite good and can be reused. I did not bother adfingbthe screws. If there is difficulty in opening with the magnet then a strong pull, stronger than any baby can attempt, will pull one of the pads off. Overall, nice, useful, and innovative proof. No worries about flour etc all over the floor.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe bought these locks back in February because we were knocking through into our garage to make a kitchen diner and while this was being done, we needed to store a load of our kitchen equipment in a mirror-fronted wardrobe in our 2-year-old’s bedroom (the wardrobe is firmly attached to the wall). We attached a cupboard lock and it’s been brilliant. He is very inquisitive and determined but he couldn’t open it at all. He quickly stopped even trying. Recently we have been able to use the new kitchen again where we have some lovely new curved cupboards. He has shown a lot of interest in these in particular and kept opening them to their fullest extent. It was clear that he was going to accidentally break them quite quickly because the curve meant they seemed to open even further than normal cupboards. However, we had lost the instructions to the locks in all the upheaval. I emailed the seller to ask if we could be sent replacement instructions, and within 24 hours they had emailed more instructions and we were able to fit them to these two particularly desirable cupboards. Since then he hasn’t been able to get in at all and is leaving them alone. Hurray! The only two things I would say is: 1) Be careful with the instructions because, although pretty easy to fit, these locks aren’t intuitive and you will need the instructions every time you want to install a new lock. 2) If other people will need to open the locks, SHOW them how to open them, don’t TELL them. I felt I didn’t need to be shown – how hard could it be? I consequently spent an incredibly frustrating morning when my husband was at work trying to get into the wardrobe for some sugar because I believed I had to hold the magnet to the side of wardrobe rather than the front. I also wasn’t exactly sure where the lock was either, and it’s a big door. Once my husband told me I had to hold the magnet to the front and exactly where, I got into it within seconds! These have been minor issues largely of our own making, but I would hate for anyone else to spend a morning of torment that could be avoided! We had friends round for a meal this weekend who are expecting a baby and they were very impressed with the ease of use of the locks and have taken the name for when they need them, so what more can I say? Great product and I have recommended to friends!

UPDATE 24/11/18 – 3.5-year-old has managed to wrench a wardrobe open, breaking the Aycorn lock on it. Therefore I’ve downgraded this review by one star – don’t rely on this completely for older toddlers! Luckily we should be able to explain to him now why he shouldn’t do that and that there’s nothing of interest inside, but this wouldn’t necessarily work with a child with additional needs.

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant locks and customer service

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI love it.
With a growing child getting ready to explore the new world of opening cupboards and looking for new stuff that comes with it, my wife and I we needed an efficient way to keep our tiny “Godzilla” safe.
I had the idea from a customer of the magnet locks, I looked on Amazan and behold, dozens of products to chose from.
I decided to go by the reviews and I could not be happier.
Being a man I decided to not look up the manual and try it on my own and obviously messed up but it came with spare adhesives so no harm no foul.
It is very easy to install (after reading the manual), and no screws were needed, the adhesive is very good and I don’t have to worry about “Godzilla” getting hurt or something getting spilled all over the kitchen floor.
It comes with 2 magnet keys and the door lock latch can be locked when the baby is not around for better access.

Golden Review Award: 48 From Our UsersThis is amazing. I liked the packaging, speed of delivery and the quality of the product. I am not a great DIY person but the locks were very easy to install, the booklet that came with the locks was splendid. It contained simple and easy to understand instructions. And, the installation was very easy, no drilling or hammering, no damage to the wood or surface. It took me less than 10 minutes to install 3 locks and it worked like a magic. These locks are stronger than a latch from the high street retailer. There are plenty of locks with 2 keys, so it’s a great value for money. I would highly recommend this product.

I am really pleased with these locks which are so easy to use and, once we had got the hang of it, easy and quick to fix. I need them for the two days a week when I am looking after my toddler grandson. They work perfectly and I no longer have to pick my way through the pots and pans which he felt would be far better distributed round the floor than left in the cupboards.
A great advantage of these locks is that I can so easily click them into the unlock position on the days when he isn’t here with me.
Aycorn is an excellent company to do business with and they take a personal interest in their customers. No sooner had I ordered my locks than Jon Greenwood, the Director of the company, emailed me offering any advice and help I might need. When I found that one of the locks wouldn’t click into the override unlock position, he immediately and without question sent me three replacements.
I am so pleased with these locks that I am ordering another set for my daughter.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersYears ago, when my offspring was a toddler, we had child locks on various drawers and cupboards. They were the ones that would allow the drawer to open a few inches. Then you just reach in to release the catch so you can fully open the drawer/cupboard.
Now I needed something similar to keep my new dog out of the kitchen cupboards he has worked out how to open.
I considered getting the type I had before – but I don’t like the idea that the door will open a few inches. This is sure to tempt him to keep trying. And he is clever/strong enough to succeed.
Also there are some that go on the outside of a cupboard door (intended for fridges I think). These would be useless – he would just chew them off.
So I really like the idea that there is nothing visible on the outside, and the door will not open at all until the magnet is applied.

I looked on Amazon and saw these (which I eventually chose) plus various others that looked similar but different.
One of the reviews for the other type said they do not work properly on their side – which is how I needed to place it in my under-sink cupboard.
These ones work perfectly on their side or even upside-down.
Also many reviews complain about weak glue. So I wanted ones with screw holes to be used if necessary. These had the holes & screws; others did not. (Although the glue seems very strong anyway, so I have not so far needed screws).
I checked they would work through my cupboard doors before attaching them. At first the magnet seemed really weak. Then I realised it had some sort of (magnetic) holder attached. This was NOT at all obvious at first sight. When I removed it, the magnet was suddenly able to do its job.
However my doors are only about 1.5cm thick. I don’t think it would work through much thicker doors.
There is quite a useful “applicator” to help you get the lock and latch lined up. It took just a few minutes to fit.
There is about 1-2mm of play when the door is locked – a negligible amount. Nothing for the dog to get a grip on – so far he is stumped!
Opening the doors is a piece of cake, although now requires two hands (one for the magnet, one for the door handle).
One tip – do NOT pull on the handle until after you have released the lock. If you pull too soon the lock cannot release.

Overall, a great solution. I would definitely recommend this brand because they work equally well upwards, sideways or downwards.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersReally impressed with these. They took maybe 20 minutes to fit to the kitchen cupboards, but once done it’s stopped our ‘blessed’ baby from trashing the kitchen. Then use one, of the two, handles provided and the door opens without issue.

ProTip – place them in the same place on cupboards and drawers so that you always remember where the magnets are.

    *** Pros ***
    – Work as expected
    – Easy to fit, but takes time to consider placement
    – Easy to remove
    – Some spares included
    – Works on drawers and doors equally
    – Effective, not able to open without the magnet handle

    *** Cons ***
    – If you don’t place the magnets in the same place, you’ll forget and get frustrated finding it – especially when in a rush or holding something
    – Two handles was good, but I’d prefer more
    – Poorly aligned doors and drawers might take more time to set-up correctly

Work very well and keep our baby out of the cupboards every time

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUPDATED AFTER 12 MONTHS.

12 months in and these are still excellent.
I looked at lots of magnetic locks on amazon and the Aycorn ones had all the things I was looking for
    a) 2 keys in case one is lost or shut inside the door
    b) glue pads for fast installation
    c) screw holes (and the screws) if they ever need to be fixed to surfaces where the glue will not hold (the glue is very strong. It takes 24 hours to bond fully)
    d) ability to lock them in the unlocked position
The two keys even come with a stick on ‘key holder’ so you can stick the key holder to the wall and never misplace the key.
They have a video on the Aycorn web site showing you how to install them (although the printed instructions were good)

So after 12 months they are still fantastic.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI always liked the look of these but put off buying them until now as they looked a pain to fit. The time finally came when I could put this off no longer as toddler was in and out of every drawer and cupboard in the kitchen. Went for this particular set due to reviews saying they were easy to fit. Indeed they are! They come with a guide that allows you to perfectly position both parts of each lock. 10 locks and 2 magnets is plenty and the set also comes with a load of spare sticky pads. I didn’t want to use screws as don’t want to damage the drawers and so far the sticky pads have survived against a very determined little man. I was able to use these on large lower drawers, low kitchen cupboards and also a full size bi-folding cupboard door with ease. I couldn’t use these on some smaller drawers however as there was not enough room for the latch to fit. However in our kitchen the small drawers are at the top so currently not an issue. Really pleased with this set and would have still been happy at the full price. Toddler is less happy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI think the AYCORN child safety locks are brilliant. They are ideal for us as the kitchen worktop has a big overhang that would make other types of lock difficult/impossible to use. It took me (not great at DIY) less than half an hour to fit locks to 10 kitchen units and drawers including working out how to use the them and where we wanted to locate them – I admit I had looked at a video on youtube before I bought them and that was quite helpful. Another bonus is that I’ve also been able to fit them to the wooden cupboards and tv unit in the room and to a floor level bathroom cupboard as well. They don’t allow the door to open at all so there is no risk of trapped fingers which is great as the little one is still at the stage of pulling herself up using handles. The unlocked setting is great for when she is not in the kitchen and will be good when she gets a bit bigger as we’ll be able to leave the safer cupboards unlocked and teach her the meaning of the word no! Obviously they’ve not been fitted long so I hope the “sticky” holds but if not then there are spares and also screws provided.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThese things are brilliant and have proved to be very effective at curtailing the efforts of our very curious 16 month old who is obsessed with doors of all kinds. Very simple to use once installed and no drilling required, although they can be screwed to the cabinets if required. If I had any criticism at all it would only be that the pictures in the instructions are a little small, but I figured it out easily enough and installation is a breeze once you’ve got your head around it – actually a very clever installation system. Once you’ve installed one, subsequent locks take seconds each. The inclusion of 2 keys and self-adhesive holders negated any worries I had about them going astray. A very well thought out product. I actually contacted the seller directly with feedback (mainly regarding the instructions) prior to leaving a review and received a very helpful, quick and friendly response explaining that they already had that in hand. Would thoroughly recommend both the product and the company from my experience so far!

Got these to avoid spoiling the the look of my beech cupboards. Magnets work fine through 20mm wooden door panels. Easy to disable when the little boy’s not around and you need to blitz the kitchen.

Installation was suprisingly simple using the included mounting jig. This holds the catch in place whilst you close the door on it to stick in exactly the right place. You then put two pencil dots next to the jig which show where the other part of the catch. Really – it’s very simple and worked first time. The sticky pads seem really strong – although screws are supplied just in case.

Tip: Mount the catch in exactly the same place on all doors so that it’s easy to learn where to hold the magnet. I didn’t do this will have to go back and change some of them. Fortunately the kit has several spare sticky pads included, so no problem

Another Tip – if like me you decide to your adjust the hinges on you cupboard doors to make them straight, do this before putting on the catches. Otherwise they’ll be in the wrong place.

I contacted the supplier about getting spare magnets too, and got straight back to me and sent me one, he’ll put some on amazon soon too.

Overall, great product and service, recommended.

Great little product, I would recommend cleaning the inside of your cupboard with some degreaser before you install, unless you are going to screw them in. Brake and clutch cleaner from eurocarparts (just a degreaser used to clean the oil residue off brake discs and clutches) in a spray can works really well and costs just a few quid. I didn’t find the instructions very easy to follow. I looked up the AYCORN on google and went to their site where they had a video. Still not completely clear. The good news is that after a bit of trial and error, (the package comes with spare 3M sticky pads if you make a mistake) they are really quick and simple to fit. It took me about 10 minutes to install 8 locks. No need for screws if you clean the surface well. Make sure you don’t install them where the handles are. My little boy was really confused when he tried to raid the cupboards today. My wife is so happy!

Excellent! Looked at loads of childlocks before deciding on these. Someone recommended magnetic locks to me and these looked like what I was after. They arrive well packed with easy to follow instructions and a quick internet search finds a you tube instruction video which is idiot proof. Took me 10 minutes to do the whole kitchen. I was all ready to install them and then screw them in aswell with the screws which are provided as my daughter is clearly destined to be a powerlifter in the future, but so far so good, the adhesive has proved sufficient to stop her getting into the cupboards. Should that change it will be a simple job to add screws. The product is very versatile allowing installation in any orientation to suit the cupboard or drawer and the magnetic catch works faultlessly in any orientation. Can’t recommend enough if you need some don’t hesitate.
