Very impressive, heavy premium feel.
After reading some of the negative reviews I was surprised by how good these clippers are. I use them for my beard and head hair and am extremely impressed.
The clippers are quite heavy and have a very premium feel to them. I have more expensive Philips and Panasonic clippers and these make them feel toy-like.
I should add I have a very thick beard and experience no hair pulling as others have stated. There are plenty of attachment combs to choose your length and I like the fact you can lock the razor by holding down the power button for 3 seconds.
At 48 I don’t think you can find better clippers.

Anyway, now that things have calmed down a bit I can honestly say that these are worth every penny.
Not sure if the whole shebang is made of Japanese Steel but guess that the crucial bits are.
It is well designed and beautifully made. Lightweight, quiet, quick and effective.
(The case is a bit naff but at least it has one and it works)

Good quality, lots of cut lengths
Have been doing home haircuts for many years now (have saved hundreds as a result!), and this replaced my 20-year-old Conair clippers.
Had thought I would need mains-powered clippers to get the right amount of ‘grunt’, but the BaByliss has plenty of power and the battery last for ages.
Although there are lots of clipper lengths to choose from, I like the fact that you can add extra precision with the rotary control. Not 100% necessary but a nice-to-have.
Solid feeling set of clippers and the blue metallic finish feels like decent quality.
Overall – a good set of clippers for someone who uses them regularly.
Great clippers
Very pleased, we bought these clippers (why is it plural when there’s only one?) to replace an old Babyliss clipper (s?) that was still working after many years but a bit blunt. That made us want to stay with this brand, and these new ones are great, nice and sharp, well designed and nice to hold.
Only downside, hence 4 stars is the box, made of thin cheap plastic.

I have used this three times to cut my children’s hair and it has been a gift. It is less loud than my wahl unit so it didn’t spook my young kids as much, low vibration feedback in the hand, easy to hold and the battery life was great.

Decent trimme
Been using it to cut my own hair – cordless makes a big difference, as does the shape and weight. The carry case for the attachments is a tad poor quality hence the four stars.

So many times I’ve researched clippers with decent reviews,only to be disappointed when they arrive.
I decided to try these as they seem highly rated and I’m chuffed to bits.
They’re nice and weighty, very long battery life with the minutes remaining indicator. The main 2 things they excel at where others have failed: 1) the blades cut like butter,no snags, no motor struggling,just straight through. 2) The guard’s don’t flex (so you get an even finish), and they dont clog with hair.

A few fake copy reviews being posted. Have had mine since DEC 2019 and is still going strong – Genuine Product. Seems a little funny as I also paid half the price they are listed at now during the sales back then. Battery life is excellent, always a decent cut and no cons that I’ve found. If you get anything other than what you see in the pictures then return as you are being mugged off or there’s clearly been some kind of mix up at the warehouse. The genuine product is the real thing and can safely say I’ve only had to charge mine 3-5 times so far over that timeframe. Lightweight and a breeze to use – cordless for the win.

You get what you pay for… I’ve been cutting my own hair for years now and saved hundreds of pounds on going to the barbers.
I’ve had many different hair clippers and I’ve often just stuck with them because they were ‘OK’… This time though as I dropped the charging plug of my old set and broke the earth pin out the transformer plug I was forced to invest in something new.
I bought these… Not the cheapest of all cutters and I was reluctant as I’ve never paid this much on a set!
I genuinely wish I’d bought them years ago. They glide through my hair with ease, no tugging or catching, the cut is perfect, I don’t have to keep repeating passes over the same bit and they are so light and easy to work with.
If you’re in the market for some new clippers, don’t hesitate, just buy them!!

Great set of clippers for home cutting
These were a much-needed upgrade from a more basic Philips set. So glad I made the investment. They have really good battery life; solid separate grade attachments that aren’t too spiky (my son hates getting jabbed in the head); they are fairly ergonomic to hold and not too heavy. I got them at a reasonable price as I held out until they were on offer, but they are a definite improvement on the previous set which had one annoying adjustable grade attachment. Only niggle is the case is a bit fiddly to fit everything back, but only because it has a shaped insert which could probably be removed if need be. Very happy with these clippers.

I’ve had these now for four months and used them throughout this latest lockdown to keep my hair short. Having had many clippers previously from Philips and Braun I expected something similar but these far surpassed my expectations. They feel and look like a quality item, I still haven’t had to charge them yet which astounds me, and the cut is clean, accurate and precise. In short, I’d be hope BaByliss keep making these as I never want to buy a different set of clippers ever again.

If you want a shaver that really works then you need good quality blades and a design that ensures the cutters lift the hair. This is the one and I wouldn’t bother going elsewhere. Up to you.

Started to have my haircut at home during lockdown and first clippers bought were a cheap set as I didn’t expect the lockdown to last as long as it did or my wife to be so good at cutting my hair.
So I decided to invest in something a bit better (hopefully) and did a fair bit of research and looking around before settling on these. I had my choices narrowed down to these or two lithium battery powered clippers from Wahl but neither of them were available from Amazon at a decent price or direct from Wahl themselves.
I am certainly not disappointed with my choice and I wasn’t paying more than I needed to.
These come with all the size attachments I will need (there are 8 of them, they are marked in mm as well as BaByliss own size number).
Fit nicely in the hand due to the size and shape plus are not too heavy or too light.
Attachments go on and off easily and the digital display shows how many minutes cutting time you have left.
Blade is removable for cleaning and replacing if necessary.
Instead of the normal style of clipper which may have a taper swith on the side of the clippers these have a dial which locks the taper length (has 5 settings ranging from 0.6mm up to 3mm). These can cut hair with the attachments fom 3mm up to 28mm.
I have only used these (my wife actually) twice to cut my hair but the difference in how sharp these are and there is no need to go back over areas twice as these do the job first time.
It is important to note than it is recommended that before use you charge these fully. It can take up to 3 hours but while charging there is the runtime plus a little clockface on the display. The clockface symbol flashes when its charging and stops when it is full (it remains lit). The runtime is a maximum of 160mins.
Came with a 3 year warranty which is more than most and less than some others.

When my old clippers died mid hair cut I needed some more to keep my hair cut during lockdown. A lot of items were out of stock, but this one came sooner than advertised. Great battery life, range of grades and adjustable within those grades too. Can’t fault it.

I purchased these clippers to replace a set of Phillips clippers that were still in good working order, I had my eye on these for a while but didn’t want to pay 100 for a pair of clippers so I jumped at them when they were offered at 64.99 back in November. I have used them for several months now and think they are worth 100 all day long, the clippers are heavier than the Phillips clippers but are not heavy enough to be uncomfortable in use and it’s that reassuring weight that comes from a well put together premium product, everything about the clippers feels good quality the materials used for the body, the click of the taper control, the finish, the Japanese steel blades all add to the feeling of a high quality product, I charged the clippers as instructed before the first use and allow them to almost fully discharge before re-charging and the battery life is excellent, I cut my hair using the lowest 0.6mm setting 2-3 times per week and a full charge lasts around 6-8 weeks, what’s more I’m never worried about running out of charge mid cut as the digital screen tells me how much cut time I have remaining, there’s also a 20 minute quick charge for 20 minutes use that I have never had to use. I don’t use the blade guards but I have tried them and they are easy to fit and remove, the carrying case doesn’t quite feel up to the quality of the clippers but it allows me to store everything neatly and protects the clippers. I would buy these clippers again, which is something I wouldn’t say about the Phillips clippers, the Phillips clippers did cut closer at 0.5mm but the BaByliss clippers cut better so I don’t need as many passes and I enjoy using them far more.

This was a gift for Christmas. My husbands old clippers were unreliable and making his head sore. He happened to mention he thought he might try a Babyliss and I spotted these on sale so I swooped and bought them.
He followed instructions and charged it before use, oiled it as instructed. His comments were very favourable, the blades cut cleanly and at a single stroke and his cut hair didn’t fly all over the place. His haircut took far less time, was comfortable and much less messy.
He did comment the cut was not quite as close as his previous clippers but only by a small margin. He was delighted with his new clippers and I was too, particularly as I had bought them at a much reduced cost.

Quality of cut is great. It is easier to use, lighter, and quieter than my previous corded clippers. Combs are easy to attach and remove. Not owned it long so cannot comment on reliability.

These are just what I needed for my families thick hair .other clippers just tug and get stuck in their hair when cutting but boy are these sharp and they cut so well .they are easy to use ,comfortable in hand with a good selection of comb lengths which easily clip over the head and it all comes with a case to keep it secure
Whilst this clipper is quite expensive the price reflects the fact that it looks, feels and performs like a well engineered product. Having used cheaper clippers for several years and experienced comb attachments that snap easily and problems with charging , I would recommend this sturdy clipper as a good purchase.

This is a very high quality hair clipper. It certainly looks and feels nicer than the other ones that I have tried. All of the components are good including the case. It is easy to use and very efficient.
For my needs cheaper basic ones are usually sufficient but if you have enough hair for clippers to be voluntary these will do a good job.

Can there be a “Rolls Royce of Hair Trimmers”? If so, I think I’ve found it.
This Babyliss trimmer is fantastic. It is equipped with superior Japanese steel for a fantastic cutting edge. It also has a digital display, useful for displaying battery life and taper settings. There is also a useful “twist” control for adjusting the taper settings. Those who used to have Sony Minidisc players years ago will be familiar with this style of control. Very good indeed.
In use the clippers are very comfortable to hold and use, grip is good and – so far – battery life seems good too.
Lots of accessories, so everything you need is included. I would imagine due to the quality of this then the clippers will give years of good service.

I really like this hair clipper. It isn’t cheap, compared to many available at the moment, but it is pretty good.
It comes in a sturdy plastic case, along with a variety of hair thickness combs, a mains charger and a small bottle of oil.
This keeps it together nicely.
It charges quickly, and there is a neat display on the unit to show the level of charge. You can see at a glance how many minutes of operating time you have available.
When you disconnect the charger, the display becomes an indicator for the depth of the blade when using it without a comb.
The hair thickness combs attach easily with a click, and they are easy to remove by squeezing in the sides.
No more struggling to wrench them off!
The blade is very sharp, and cuts through most hair types with ease. My own hair is a bit thick and wiry, but it went through without any effort.
I have owned two other (cheap) clippers that just wouldn’t go through it, so this is a great improvement.

These clippers are sensational! The blades are so fine cutting – ready for a very close shave indeed! The kit contains several guards that can help cut in varying lengths.
The lithium battery is a decent size and doesn’t make the unit too heavy. These are low noise compared to many I have previously tried.

Ok, let’s get over the price straight away – these are not cheap. However, think of it like a car. A Ford and a Porsche will both do pretty much the same thing. They’ll both get you to A to B in reasonable comfort. Given the roads and traffic in the UK, they’ll both get you there at the same time. They’ll both have air con and keep you cool in the summer. I could go on and on. But people still buy Porsches and they cost a lot more money.
This is by far the best set of hair clippers I’ve had and the ones I were currently using (BaByliss for Men Super Clipper XTP ) were not that cheap either. You open the black box and go wow, how cool is this. The design and finish on it is really stylish. The metallic blue is lovely, combined with the metal and black accents. Pick it up and it fits perfectly in your hand, the weight is none too heavy. Ergonomically, the design has been really thought out. Sadly, you still get those black plastic combs, but the plastic quality is better than some.
The blade itself is Japanese steel and the honeycomb design on it looks very smart indeed. With this type of steel, the sharpness should last much longer than other ones. It’s also washable, which is very handy. You have a simple on/off button, when turned on, lights up the bright LED display showing how many minutes off use you have before it needs recharging and also the cutting length. The display is clear and bright. There is a twist grip build into the handle, which you turn to adjust this.
Due to the nature of my hair, I have need for only one of the attachments, so can’t really pass judgement on the rest. This clipper really cuts your hair well and cleanly. With less need to go over the same area again. It also doesn’t attack my scalp as much as my other one. You get a good even cut.
Once charged, battery life is good, but not quite the 160mins as stated – more like 145mins for me. To full charge takes around 3 hours, so that’s not too bad at all. You can use off the mains, but your limited to 20mins run-time. Holding down the on/off button for 3 seconds will lock and unlock it. So no worry off it starting up whilst packed in your case.
You get a solid 3-year guarantee. 1-year return to Retailer and for years 2-3 you return it to Babyliss.
First in class hair clipper, if you can afford it.

Better on the cable.
This is a fully-featured clipper set from a very well-known company in hair care. It has everything you need for a good home hairstyling set, and does the job very well. I have been using such products for almost 25 years now, and can say with some confidence that using them connected to the cable gives more power than when they are charged, and portable.
I also can’t be bothered with ‘digital’ information. Plug them in, choose the size of cut you require, and cut your hair. That’s the best way, and this does it as well as any others available.
First of all these are not cheap and 100 for a pair of hair clippers is quite expensive, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for and these I would say are a solid investment.
The build quality on these is brilliant and they are certainly built to last, also with the rubber grip around the top they are nice to hold and easy to use. The blades are really sharp and powerful and cut with ease and precision and I have to say these have been the best clippers I have ever owned. With just a twist you can change the taper and with 45 lengths there are so many options to choose from making this pefect for everybody. The case this comes with is really handy and keeps everything organised so nothing goes missing and making sure its accessible. The accessories it comes with are everything you need so this is the complete package and definitely worth the price. Being cordless you do have to charge ever so often but I found this to be no issue at all as the battery is very long lasting and charges up really fast. Very impressed and would recommend
The BaBylissMEN Digital Japanese Steel hair clipper looks like a cool gadget and built like a tank. Japanese steel is known for it’s longevity and retention of blade sharpness. It comes with a long lasting Lithium-ion battery which will last a whole 90 mins of trimming. I have trimed my head twice so far and only took me 4 to 5 mins max therefore 160mins worth of battery life you can afford to spend time to be more creative with your hair style unlike me half bold person who only needs trims.
Blades perform exceptionally good and cut through hair like a sharp knife through butter.
It comes with lots of accessories combs, charger and even lubrication oil. It is the only cordless trimmer that I have used that comes with a proper plastic box to keep everything tidy and put away safely.
I am very impressed with this product and highly recommend it.
Negative:
Only thing missing from this fantastic kit is tapper ear combs. I used those as it gives a nice and tidy trim around the ear without worrying about. That’s the only negative I can say about it. But overall built quality and precision compensates it.

The BaBylissMEN battery powered Japanese Steel Digital Hair Clipper are simply excellent. The cutting head is a little under 5cm (there are edges that stop it going edge to edge.) The handle has a nice shiny blue grip – and it is two different materials – closer to the cutting head there is some grip to the handle; lower down its just shiny plastic. In the handle is are some led numbers; which shows you the battery life remaining as cutting time – as well as the adjustable trim setting. The display is crap; you can read it but its not as good as an lcd/ olde would have been.
The battery life is excellent; and it charges quickly from the included charger (no 2 pin adaptor or socket needed.) You get 30 minutes of use from 30 minutes of charge – you can also run them tethered to the adaptor if you can’t wait. You cant use these clippers in the shower on battery or otherwise. Battery or mains doesn’t seem to impact performance; it cuts cleanly and with seeming the same constant power in both modes.
The shaver comes with its own plastic blister box which holds the shaver; its mains adaptor (its not usb which is crap in 2019 – and accounts for the only star I removed) and all the shaving length adaptors, a bottle of mineral oil and a cleaning brush. The box does make it easier to store everything; though like those that come with diy tools I imagine mine will quickly be missing parts.
The length adaptor combs have the numbering system 1,2,3 as well as proper length measurements on them = No 1 = 3mm for example. I really appreciate the metric measurements on the adaptors as I have no clue what the number system means. They haven’t included a personal hair adaptor when you aren’t using it on your head; so you need to do that carefully…
It does get a bit more complex the clippers have a tapering feature; if you are cutting someones hair you can get fancy and tune the cut on top of the adaptors size the adaptor a further 3 – 0.6mm to allow you to create a less layered cut if you are switching adaptors. It does this by moving the cutting blades further inside the razer (you can see this in the photos where there is a close up between 3mm and 0.6mm of the cutting blades. If you are doing your own hair this feature is only really going to let you set a longer length outside the included extender clips.
I said at the start these are excellent clippers; I say that as there is a powerful motor that cuts even if you run them through your hair too fast. The battery life is excellent. The instructions are really good; even going as far as to advise you to let them cool down after use before storing them. The fact the combs have metric and number system on them is great; and if you are a hair dresser I imagine the taper dial will let you do a better job than without. The long battery life means its there when you need it. I did ding a star over charging from a power brick which seems wasteful in 2019 when USB charging is essentially ubiquitous. If there were half stars I would have taken another half off for not including a wo/man scaping comb… Otherwise for a touch up of sideburns or a full hair cut these are great.
This is probably the most serious pair of hair clippers I have ever used/owned. They obviously come at a high price and so you expect quality, but I had not appreciated the fact that these clippers would have so many more features than your standard pair.
To start with they come with a really nice, sold case which I LOVE. I hate buying beard/hair clippers and then not having a small bag/case to store them in. The only negative comment about the case is the fact the inside is a bit cheap / plastic… but overall a win.
The clippers themselves have a twist adjuster which allows you to change the fine cutting length, i often shave my hair without a guard and so having the ability to tweak how close I shave is a real bonus.
Lastly, you are provided with a host of larger guards, which is pretty standard. The clipper being “digital” gives you a bit more info/control which is nice.
Overall, an expensive but very nice clipper if you don’t mind spending a bit more money. Not something I had expected from Babyliss.
First cordless trimmer, and seem to have chosen well! Effortless cutting and comfortable over head and beard. Genius of the design is a relatively small contact area between the base plate and the moving blade, which means it’s unlikely to ever clog or seize, especially if oiled as recommended.
Particular mention on beard/stubble trimming is the smooth edges on the base plate.
