I have had this hoover for 3 months. I like it so much I treated my mum to one too. The suction power is good, it’s relatively quiet and it does a cracking job.
A little tip when setting up the timer on the remote control- you have to have the remote almost touching to hoover to set the timer. If you are too far away it won’t register with the beeps to let you know it’s set. My hoover runs every day and I have to empty his tummy almost every day – two days at a push. We have one dog and the hoover keeps the carpets looking great. It’s fab on hard floors too. It very cleverly does not chuck itself down steps either. I love this little thing – couldn’t be without it now.
Last week it started making an awful noise. I sent a video to bagotte and they sent me a new one without quibble. It arrived so fast I didn’t even have time to get dirty floors in between! I am astonished at the customer after sales support. You just don’t get support like that anymore! Well done Bagotte – you are the best!
I bought this to avoid bending and spraining the back. For that purpose it has been perfect. Its no substitute for a standard vaccum cleaner that most of us have in our homes, which are undoubtedly more powerful and noisier. Does pick up a lot of dust and hair. But on carpets it doesn’t pick bits of tissue paper or flower petals that fall off the bouquet. Also, my house has no mess ever on the floor so I just turn it on whenever. But if you got kids n their associated toys then you need a tidy up before letting this boy loose on the floor.
I decided to purchase two of these robot vacuums having read the reviews and recommendation. The vacuum is surprisingly quiet compared to the Dyson vacuum. The robot vacuum has a brain of its own sometimes crashing against walls and settees and does also get stuck on rugs and cables. The vacuum is great for picking up fluff and small particles. Its recommended in the user manual to replace the filters every 2 months and rolling brush 6 to 12 months side brushes 3-6 months. This could be addition cost compared to traditional vacuums. One of the good feature is you can select the time you want it to clean off it goes. On the auto setting the robot vacuum does all sorts of cleaning patterns. There is also an option to select edge to edge cleaning which is a useful feature. I feature I do like is its small enough to go underneath the bed and clean. When the battery running low the vacuum returns to base to recharge. The vacuum is more suited for open plan living space rather than small rooms. I found its better to remove fluff with a fine plastic nit comb rather then the tool provided.
Perfect value for money robot hoover. We have a mixture of hard wood flooring and soft carpet/rug with a couple of door saddles thrown in.
The robot handles all this with ease. It’s best left to its own devices and will eventually work it’s way around the rooms. We’ve found that it’s easier to sweep out the tightest corners so it can pick up the dirt easier
However if you use it regularly then it’s no bother at all.
Very quiet.
Very efficient.
Very easy to use.
Prompt delivery and well packaged. Does exactly what you want it to do.
We live in a 2 story house. Both floors are a mixture of hard surfaces and carpets The BG600 cleans all of these surfaces with little fuss and without supervision. We also have a 300 Shark vacuum and the BG600 outperforms this easily and I therefore consider it great value for money. I particularly like the autodocking. It would not be suitable for surfaces that are cluttered with toys or clothes but it manoeuvres effortlessly around our 3-peice suite, dining table and chairs, TV and sound system. We like it so much that we have ordered a second one so we can do upstairs and downstairs at the same time. Although we are retired, it would be great for working people. In fact our working son and his wife have ordered one for this very reason after seeing ours in action. Fancy coming home from hard work to find a clean house!
I use this both upstairs and downstairs. I live in a 4-bedroom house with a mix of hard floors, carpets and rugs. this device allows me to do the hoovering while I do other things as well. it needs a little bit of babysitting because it can get stuck occasionally. For instance when it tries to tangle with the laces of a shoe. You need to keep a timer so it doesn’t use all its energy in one room, and it takes longer to hoover than you would because it covers the floor in a random pattern until you hit the edge button. you also need to know that it’s worth rearranging the items you like to leave on the floor like my music stand a box for magazines and I rearrange the chairs a little bit to make it more effective. Having said all that it’s really worth it because the floor is a lot cleaner now. Recommended put keep your old hoover for the big clean up.
Have owned the bg600 for a few months now, was very sceptical of how good a robotic cleaner could be but the bagotte is amazing. As a test we cleaned a room with a top of the range cordless vacuum and then set the bg600 to work. The dirt container was nearly full !!. Very impressed.
Picks up pet hair no trouble.
The spare parts are very reasonable priced 20 for a kit with new roller brushes and filters.
Only criticism is the unit is quite heavy so a handle built into top would be handy.
The remote control is well made and easy to use.
Overall a great product
Now have two bg600
It does everything it says, and for the price it is a very good purchase. We used it for almost a year and unfortunately one of the wheels faulted. However, the customer service provided was impeccable, within less than a week after reporting the fault, we had a brand new vacuum. If I stay with this brand in the future, it will be not only for quality but mainly thanks to their customer service.
Vacuum is great! I had it replaced as had a problem with my wheel, but Bagotte customer service has been extremely helpful and within a week I had a bran new vacuum cleaner!
Cleaner by itself is a great solution for my house as I have a small child and a dog and it cleans hair amazingly! It’s not as quiet as I thought but that isn’t a problem for me. It’s not loud too. Easy to turn him on while you doing loundry or dishes- when you’re done- floor is ready to mop. Would definitely recommend it.
Knowing how dubious I was about buying such an inexpensive robot vacuum cleaner, I feel motivated to leave a review to say how brilliant this product is.
We’ve been using it for a few months now and it is fantastic. After a few days of getting full of carpet fluff, it now half fills with a daily run (no pets but two very young children, for reference).
There have only been a handful of occasions where it has had any kind of trouble, and has been easy to sort. When we forget to put a doorstop in front of the door, it can nudge it slightly closed and get stuck, and when the sunlight is very bright on the floor, it stops. Both these have resulted in different kinds of beeps, the key to which is on the back of the vacuum cleaner so you know what the problem is (if you can’t already tell!), and just moving it and pressing the button to start it again has immediately resolved the issue.
This is one of the best things I’ve ever spent money on. It’s such a game changer. Highly recommend.
Being a virgin robot vacuum owner, I wasn’t sure what to expect, however the reviews of this model were promising.
Friends of mine have the ‘posh’ brand, but at over double the price tag, that wasn’t an option for me.
Plus points are:
Its size- very small compared to my friend’s ‘posh’ one and my bagotte version has 2 brushes, so cleans a greater surface area with each sweep. The roller has a mix of foam and bristles which appears to be effective.
It’s fairly quiet, so no problem popping it on and going to bed, only to be greeted with a clean kitchen/utility floor in the morning.
This model is very good at finding its way back ‘home’ when its battery is almost flat, (but you must keep a clear run up for it line itself up.)
Emptying the dirt couldn’t be more straightforward, the dust container, is located at the back, and is easy to remove empty and replace when the bot is charging, and also it will beep to say it’s blocked when it’s going.
This vacuum is great on hard floors and carpets, in fact I love that it cleans the large mat by my back door with greater ease than my upright vacuum, as it works more like a carpet sweeper with suction than the big vacuum and so it doesn’t pull it up and get all tangled in it.
The sensors make this gentle on skirting boards as in normal mode it stops before banging into them and it’s gentle when it gets in close, to do the edges.
On a negative note:
Obviously it cannot achieve the same level of cleaning as a proper full sized vacuum, but in 90 mins or so, it tackles my kitchen, dining and utility rooms whilst I’m in bed or at work, but there is a fair amount of prep, so it can do its job. I stack the 6 dining chairs on the table and put the bar stools in the hall, move the bins; block the gaps under a couple of units,(where ‘bottie’ gets stuck!), pick up 100 nerf darts, 10 pairs of shoes, bags, odd socks and other paraphernalia! But the result is worth the effort for me, albeit every other day.
I can’t let it clean in my living room, as no matter how careful I block one end of the sofa, it always finds it’s way underneath and gets stuck!
The kids use the remote sometimes, but I prefer the automation, as if I had the time to watch it, I’d vacuum the house myself.
I cannot vouch for the stair sensor, as I got it do the downstairs the really, (and there’s always way too much crap on the landing anyway !).
All in all, a great gadget for those prepared to prep, (or those with an immaculate house, no kids or pets!)
For me it’s a welcome aid for housework. Well worth the money…
I don’t like vacuuming, so I decided to buy a robot which would do it instead. It sucks the dust well but it doesn’t pick all the debris. It doesn’t get everywhere and it needs a lot of space for the base: one meter on each side plus two meters in front. I prepared a smaller spot for it and had to put it in a different spot which was supposed to be taken by a sofa. It doesn’t like dark floors and long pile carpets. I think I should buy a more traditional vacuum cleaner for heavy duty cleaning keeping this one for everyday preprogrammed light work.
Little Dude is my pet name for the BG600 and he probably does more housework than I do and definitely complains a lot less about it. Straight out of the box it took less than 5 minutes to set up. Although I did have to wait a couple of hours for him to fully charge before first use. This was painful as patience is not my friend.
Once I started him up using the “Auto” button on the remote, it was a wild ride. He was off, everywhere in what seemed like a totally random pattern. But here’s the thing everywhere was done and done well. Nowhere was missed. It also put a wee smile on my face watching him climb back onto his base charging station and go to sleep.
It was worthwhile keeping an eye on him the first couple of adventures to find the snagging points. My dining room curtains are too long and he would get stuck on them, I now lift them up before sending him off. He also used to shed a side brush on collision with my saxophone stand, which is now isolated with the magnetic tape provided that acts like a virtual wall. The BG600 also has an ample size dirt collection box that I never have had to stop him mid-adventure to empty, but it is a good idea to empty it after each successful mission.
I love the little guy so muck that after a year of loyal service I have given him away to my girlfriend who also thinks he is wonderful. Don’t be sad. The reason he is going is that I have just given myself an upgrade. I have just purchased the BG800for downstairs and a BG600 Max for upstairs. The main reason for the upgrades is that the optional water tank can be fitted in place of the dirt box to allow these new guys (not named yet) to mop my large conservatory and large upstairs bathrooms. So far am delighted. Bagotte may not be the same household name as some of its better known competitors but to be perfectly honest I have more effective kit for less money. Would definitely recommend.
Confession time! Little Dude comes with a very comprehensive looking User Manual which is printed in a number of different languages. I have never opened nor read it. There has never been any need as the remote and controls are totally intuitive. I probably should red it one day as there may be some really trick features that I never took advantage of. Or maybe my girlfriend will read it as she is a lot less lazy than me.

I’ve had five iRobot roombas – both lower and high end – but each developed problems, and were never the same when fixed. Decided to have a change this time. This robot is much cheaper. It’s a lot lighter, which frankly I appreciate. I didn’t expect much – just hoped that it would be ok for a while. But it is a great machine. Charged fully it scoots along quietly covering a fairly vast area. It can find its way home from some way, including with obstacles. No idea how it’s so clever. It doesn’t hold as much dirt as a Roomba, but I don’t care. I think it more hygienic to clean each time. It’s easy to clean, and deposit the dirt. It’s lower than a roomba so can get to places we used to have to clean by hand, such as under the TV unit. It gathers big bits it encounters, and neatly spits them to one side. These would have stopped our other robot. It’s managed all our rugs and carpets and does a great job on our tiled floors. It’s been such a nice surprise, and we’ve decided to get another for upstairs after Christmas. Haven’t tried the remote, but it’s a nice thing to have for many. Highly recommended.
I don’t know how I have lived without one of these. Absolutely perfect for cleaning up fluff, crumbs, dust etc when the house is just looking a bit scruffy. Good bin size and the noise level is much lower than for my regular vacuum cleaner. I can set it off when I’m asleep or just watching telly and it returns to base when finished – like magic! Battery lasts for ages too. There’s a bit of maintenance required after each clean but nothing major. It would never replace a regular vacuum cleaner completely, and you do have to move things out of the way when you want it to do a really thorough clean, but on balance I can get by for three weeks using this alone – and I am pretty houseproud. Would definitely recommend. One issue is it was quite hard to register on the website – instructions were icons I couldn’t follow. Still trying.
I’ve only had this hoover for 5 days but absolutely love it!
Considering I had hoovered a day prior to this new hoover arriving; I had put this hoover on and the tray was full in 40 mins!! Both satisfying and disgusting lol.
I will say that when you put him on, don’t watch him cause it’s annoying when he rolls right past bits on the floor. But magically by the time I come home there’s no bits at all.
He does “act” a little drunk and bumps into things, spins around etc. But I think this adds to the novelty.
Also each morning I have woke up I have found him somewhere random in my flat, even though I had left him on charge before going to sleep. So I think he’s hoovering off his own accord.. again, not something I mind.
The hoover is much quieter than my last one but not as quiet as the reviews make out.
I have mainly wooden floors with shaggy rugs, he does have trouble getting on the rugs at certain angles but once he’s up there he manages to clean them thoroughly and haven’t had any issues with him at all!
I think it’s one of the best things I’ve ever bought, only bought it as I have an active lifestyle so housework is my last priority.
Love him! Called him Stanley haha
I have an older dog and two cats, so before I bought this hoover, I was vacuuming on a daily basis. So I bought this hoover, thinking that it would take some of that burden and I would only have to vacuum once every 2 or 3 days.
Well, after a few weeks I can honestly say I have only had to use the dyson a couple of times!
Once you get passed in initial obsession of watching it and worrying about the bits it misses, you’ll realise its strength is that on a single battery charge, it runs for nearly 2 hours (I have hard floors, I suspect it’d be less on carpet). I tends to randomly react to it’s environment, rather than cleverly work out a floor plan, but in the time it’s running, it essentially ends up covering all of the floor space… And I’m suprised at how much it has picked up after a single run.
I have it located under an armchair as I don’t really want it as an ornament! However, it always finds its way home, despite the fact it doesn’t have the metre clearance that the manual suggests.
The timer is great, it comes on once a day, so I don’t even think about it.
It however, is not perfect, some downsides:
Although the hoover is relatviely quiet, I have quite high thresholds between the rooms and when it goes over them, it’s pretty noisy, so I can’t have it run over night.
The aforementioned thresholds have been scratched a bit as the hoover clatters over the top!
The remote is fine, but unless you point it at the hoover and it responds with a beep, you think you’ve changed the settings, but you haven’t.
I had to block off my sofa, as it could just squeeze under it, but tended to get stuck.
Would I recommend, yes, especially if you have hard floors. I am going to let it loose upstairs at some point, to see how it deals with carpet, but it’s not really the reason I bought it.
Don’t know how i ever got on without one. I am writing this a month after purchase
I have 6 cats, in a flat that is 95% laminate flooring. I like to walk around barefoot, and the act of constantly brushing the fluff, and other bits off my feet has always been a pain.
They track all sorts of bits in on their paws, along with the obligatory shedding of fur, cat biscuits, and bits of cat litter, not to mention the stuff that i track in on my boots, which adds up to a lot of cat hairs and grit on the floor.
My trusty Henry does an excellent job but dragging him around on a daily basis, although necessary, is somewhat irksome, and not liked by the cats, who make a beeline for the outdoors when i pull the lead out of its storage.
I have lusted after a robovac for some time, and finally decided on the BG600 after reading loads of positive reviews and watching a few YouTube videos.
Best investment ever. After the initial fascination, where i actually followed it around, I set the timer for an hour after i left for work, placed 20 small cat biscuits (the little round ones that always get left at the bottom of the food bowl) in strategic locations around the flat and went to work.
Expecting to play “Hunt the Robot” when i got home, was pleasantly surprised to find it docked with the indicator light pulsing in pink and a full dust tray, and 19 biscuits.
Since then. I have let it run its course while i was present, and it went on for 2 hours 10 minutes before returning to base, which is impressive, but understandable considering the amount of laminate floor i have.
After a month of use, i am delighted. And now actually use it as an alarm clock. I set it an hour before i want to get up, and not only is it a gentle way of waking up, as it not too noisy (usually when it is navigating around under my bed) but i also get up to a freshly cleaned floor.
Although it will go on for a couple of hours, i usually hit the home button on the remote (which is amazing, reaching 40 feet and around corners) after about 45-60 mins, as it has already covered everything at least 5 times and is about as clean as it’s going to get. I will often hit the auto button and let it run round for 20 mins in the evening as well.
I also let it run round on the mattress of my bed (On Max mode) between sheet changes, after monitoring it to make sure it wouldn’t go over the edge (it didn’t) I let it run around for half an hour, and amount of dust collected was astounding. And will be doing it more often in future.
It’s not a smart bot, it cleans by means of random approximation, with random switches from general cleaning to concentrating on edges.
It is quite good at detecting obstacles that are white or light coloured. Dark, or matte surfaces not so much, which is where the microswitches behind the bumper come into play, so it does tend to bump into dark objects but it’s not a hard bump as it responds very quickly and reverses away slightly at the lightest touch, often with a little chirp of wheelspin (i was a bit worried that it would spill the cats drinking water bowl, but no problem)
As for the cats, they seem to have accepted the alien intrusion, and have gone from mild trepidation, to haughty contempt. I know, hard to believe from cats right?, but it will often bump into them, with no more reaction than a disdainful sidestep, then disgust when they discover it changed direction on contact, and they’ve sidestepped into its path again.
In short, for me it’s perfect. Not too smart (Who wants a vacuum more intelligent than they are?). Does a good job. Well made (very) and priced righ
The sensors on this thing are rubbish> Switch the Hoover on and all it does is keep going back to the same corner of the room backwards and forwards totally ignoring the rest of the room
Update to review Bagota sent me a message offering a replacement or refund which I thought was very decent of them. Before I proceeded. I decided to give it one more try. Imagine my surprise when it started to perform quite well. I have no idea why it wouldn’t work properly at the start but hey ho better late than never. It still sometimes has a wee problem traveling to the docking station but I can live with this. Very good customer service though
This product is wonderful. All my carpets look so much cleaner. I use the vacuum about 3 times a day. It will run for the best part of an hour. Such a labour/time saver.
It goes under chairs/sofa.
Some wear and tear already, will need to replace side brushes soon, but it has been working hard.
It struggles in our kitchen because of the design of our chairs, but does really well everywhere else.
Quieter than any other vacuum cleaner I have had, although I would not choose to watch TV in the same room.
Such a shame nobody has invented a stair cleaning version yet – our stairs are looking sadly neglected!
Look, robots aren’t quite ready to replace humans, and this is no exception. But it certainly makes the job of cleaning a whole lot easier. Switch it on, and it runs around, industriously criss-crossing the room and mapping it out, and then directs its attention to corners and wall edges. The hard to reach bits under sofas, beds and chests – that’s where I think it does the best. The dust pan is super easy to detach and clean. Doesn’t like wires and occasionally chokes on large pieces of paper, so best to put them out of its way. Does a decent job on pretty much everything else, carpets included.
Customer service is excellent – when there was an issue with my robot, they responded immediately and arranged for a repair/replacement.
Been thinking about getting one of these for a while. It’s such an amazing price and it does exactly what you would expect. It picks up so much dust that you’d never be able to reach with a normal hoover. Make sure you lift up any wires or anything up from the floor before you use it, to get a better clean and so it doesn’t catch on anything. It changes direction when there’s something in the way though and it detects stairs. It tells you when there’s something wrong so you can properly maintain it. I love it. It also comes with a little remote in case you want a bit more control over which direction it’s cleaning too.
I bought this in early to mid June and it’s absolutely fantastic, really is one of the best things I’ve honestly bought!! I recently got a new carpet too which is a bit thicker than my original carpet and it also cleans this fantastically well and does it very thoroughly too.
The vacuum seriously never misses a spot, it does all the cleaning around the room randomly and then does all the edges which it does numerous times, everything is cleaned every time it comes out to clean.
Emptying it is easy too, just slide the tray out and empty it then put it back in, takes 2 minutes to do if that and this honestly cleans much better than any other vacuum I’ve used and it cleans it for me while I’m able to do other things.
Not only that it cleans under places that are hard to get under with a big vacuum or even a hand vacuum, it’s just brilliant.
It’s pretty quiet too, you can have a few settings so obviously when you put the max clean on then it’s obviously a bit louder but you don’t need to do that when you vacuum comes out to clean every day anyway and cleans really well also when it does.
It very rarely bangs into things and when it does it’s very gently too so not a problem, I have noticed it only ever does this on black or really dark items, even more so if your room is less lit at the time but even with that it rarely does and is so good how it knows where things are.
It still amazes me now how it goes around everything and how it knows to go back to the charger when it’s done and ready to be charged again, it’s brilliant.
The only thing is the obvious one and that’s to make sure all wires are tucked in and not stuck out, such as charger leads for example but that’s obvious as you’d move these anyway if you were using a vacuum yourself you’d pick it up, so just remember to do that and keep all wires out of the way when you set off the vacuum or if you have it on a timer.
It’s honestly really really good and you won’t regret buying this whatsoever.
I love my Bagotte – I have bought one for each of my children as well – so useful when you have small children and loits of crumbs lying around the floor … I did have a problem with my first one but it was dealt with swiftly, politely and I was more than satisfied that this supplier cares for its customers … and little Henry has become my friend when nobody else is at home. Sometimes I find myself just watching him thinking …. “will he actually see that thread on the floor?” ….and yes, he does, every time! I simply wouldn’t be without this gadget now – he has been a lifesaver during lockdown … and has given us some laughs as well 🙂
Didn’t really know what to expect with a product like this but was very pleasantly surprised.
Firstly it arrived promptly and very well packaged.
Setup was minutes. Take charging station out of box, position and plug in.
Attach the 2 brush attachments to the Hoover and place on charger.
Light on top indicates when charged.
Then either set the time you want it to start cleaning else press the start button and let it go.
Robot Hoover then rolls off with a reasonably quiet hum and goes about its business cleaning up.
Seems a capable enough device and battery life is more than adequate.
Device then returns itself to the charging station to wait to be called back into action.
A simple press of the home button also returns it to the station at anytime.
Emptying is simple to pull collector out and tip. There is also a filter which is easy to remove and clean.
So far very impressed and finally we have a Hoover that cleans under the beds!
Very Happy, love it.
I don’t know why I waited till now to get this. It does all that’s required of it, quietly and efficiently.
It’s like having a useful pet, as it scoots around the floor dealing with the detritus of everyday life.
It is especially efficient in picking up all my loose threads, of which there are many, as I’m a dressmaker.
It is not as quick as an upright, but you can be getting on with your life while it works away on your floors.
It deals easily with carpet tiles as well as fitted carpets.
My only negative point with the product is that I let my children name it. I now own ‘Malpus Poo Bum Hoovery Hoover Ear Wax Man’. This is besides the by though..
Malpus is a great addition, thorough, great cleaning ability and more than anything he just cracks on whilst you’re doing other things! We have two cats which have plenty fur, and two children who are like miniature hurricanes. You can tell where they’ve been by the swathe of destruction and detritus left in their wake!
Malpus calmly takes this so in his stride, efficiently cleaning away in the background. He’s quiet enough to run any time without waking the aforementioned miscreant spawn also. We’ve only had one issue which was when he became blinded by a late, low and fierce afternoon sun shining in his face. Meaning he stumbled around blinded for a while, easily rectified by pulling the curtains. (Also was amusing to witness as he was unerringly human in his reaction!)
I’d recommend the googly eyes modification mentioned in a previous review! Your kids view him as alive /a friend so leave him be, also does add an element of amusement after a couple of gins!
The fact you can just chuck him on means the house is immaculate with no effort, get one!
I have been very pleased with my robotic hoover. It is well made and potters around, getting the job done. I have a lot of carpeted areas. You will need to cordon off areas with a lot of wiring or low level things on the floor like lamp bases which it will try and mount or get tangled up in. It will go under sofas and beds if there is enough clearance and nothing else under there. I tend to empty it after every room and it is usually full which shows it is doing its job. It picks up hair well and this can be removed from the roller reasonably easily. The roller and dust box are easy to extract and clean. It is a little bit of a pfaff before you start but the house is certainly being hoovered more! A rubber seal split early on and Bagotte sent two replacements immediately. Would recommend.
I have been looking for a robotic vacuum for a couple of years now and it has been really hard trying to find one where it can effectively work on black tiles. When I have asked if a particular vacuum will work on black tiles, the responses have been sketchy at best. Sometimes a clear ‘no’ and sometimes a ‘should work’. I asked if this one would and the responses were more positive so I bought it. I can confirm this does work on black tiles.
The vacuum glides from our cream coloured carpet to the cream coloured laminate floor to the black slate tiles in the kitchen with no issues at all.
I also have a cat and the vacuum picks up hair and cat litter. It is amazing.
We have had this for two weeks now and have not dragged our standard vacuum out of the cupboard once other than for the stairs!
Four of us in the house so we do have to vacuum a couple of times a week normally. Now, we just take this to wherever it is required and let it do its thing. Over the weekend for instance, we were having breakfast whilst a bedroom was being vacuumed! We then moved it to the landing and it sorted that too (and it did not fall down the stairs!).
The options on the remote are pretty good especially the spot cleaning where it will clean a smaller area rather then the whole room.
It does seem to be quite random where it cleans when cleaning the whole room but that is probably because it is also mapping the room at the same time. It isn’t too loud either.
Each time you turn it on, it will map a room as if has never been there before which is excellent as you can use this in different rooms. Also, if your furniture changes in one room, it will be mapped the next time you use it.
Edge cleaning is good as the brushes sweep the edge so the vacuum can capture all the bits etc. It is also amazing at picking up talcum powder and the filter stops this flying into the air. The suction power is brilliant. The vacuum just finds its way back to the charging unit when running out of battery or when you use the remote to send it there. It will work for about 1 hour 15 mins on a charge. I have not timed the charging but would say it takes roughly 3-4 hours to fully charge.
Our cat was a bit dubious of this at first but a couple of weeks later, doesn’t pay it much attention at all.
My final verdict is this is worth every penny (it cost 169 in the sale June 2020). The only place we now use a standard vacuum is for the stairs but otherwise, this has saved us a few hours of work each month and the rooms are clean all of the time as you can use this every day if you need to.
I am converted as is my husband! Love it and would never be without one now!
One of the best things I’ve bought in ages. Saves me so much time and picks up a surprising amount of dust. Especially great on tile/wood/laminate flooring.
Things to be aware of of:
-It doesn’t work on thick, deep pile tasselled rugs (as you would suspect)
-It works on a thick pile carpet but it isnt always effortless on this surface
-Medium pile carpet is absolutely fine
-You will need to tuck away cables, wires etc and ensure nothing is left around
-For me, this meant I had to find a permanent home for things and get organised in order for it to work, which is a double win of you’re a glass-half-full kind of person
-You’ll need to go over the edges of the rooms every once in a while if you have high standards
I was quite happy with my previous robot vacuum (a Neato) but after 4 years the battery life had dwindled and performance was dropping off.
I got this Bagotte BG600 Robot Vacuum Cleaner about a month ago and, so far, I’m very pleased. It is quieter than the Neato and cleans more thoroughly, and it is also less inclined to get stuck in my relatively cluttered rooms.
The only down-side is that it takes rather longer to clean a whole room than the Neato did – but maybe that’s related to the fact that it does a more thorough job.
I haven’t used the remote control, so I can’t comment on that, but generally I found the deice to be easy to assemble and use.
One caveat: I’ve only had this for 1 month so far. It’s too soon to comment on the product life span.
I got this bagotte 1.6 for my mother a year ago so now I feel it the appropriate time to review it! In a word amazing ! She uses it almost every day and has never had a single problem.it picks up dust from corners and crevices that a push vacuum would not be able to access.. fantastic for under beds etc.. she has asthma So it’s important place is kept dust free..
I ordered the wrong replacement kit so had to contact bagotte directly.. there customer service was excellent – promptly delivered the correct replacement kit to me Without any problems.. they were extremely pleasant to deal with.. so glad I purchased from a reputable company!
Highly recommend !!
I’ve had 2 roombas previously, which I’ve loved to be fair – but the price tag not so much. When I’ve then encountered charging problems with both of them after a couple of years usage – I wasn’t going to pay that amount again.
Just under 200 for a robotic hoover, I was willing to take the risk with this. The reviews were great and I’m so glad I took heed of them.
To me, (my house and floors deal with a lot of crap from us as a family) this doesn’t completely replace my ‘proper’ Hoover but it does cut down how much I need to use it.
I set it to run daily at 11pm when we’re all in bed and it’s quiet enough that it doesn’t wake us (for reference we have hard floors everywhere apart from the main lounge).
It’s a massive help keeping on top of the *constant* fur layer we seemed to have on our floors (hazards of a German Shepherd but she’s worth it ). It really is very impressive for the price.
The main differences between it and Roomba that some may see as negatives are;
– there’s no wifi connection
– you can only schedule for a clean at a certain time, that will apply every day (you can’t select different times for different days)
– it seems you can only programme the auto clean schedule via the remote control, so if that runs out of battery or you lose it and you wanted to change the schedule you’d need to get another.
That’s honestly all I can think of, and I’m not an easy person to impress. I really like it. It looks and feels way more expensive that it actually is too.
Well. My friend bought something like that and when I first saw that one I tought it just a waste of money. I was wrong. It is an absolute time sawer and good enought tool. My missus using it in the kitchen and after when its done she only needs to mop up. (BTW now im looking for buying a moping one as well :D) Anyway it is saves lots of time for my missus cus she doesent need to sweep up and it is does a fairly good job. A little bit pricey but worth it.
This vacuum cleaner is gorgeous. It’s our new home help. At the moment, I’m getting rid of something else at home. It makes no noise and is smart. I really liked that it has a base to load and you don’t have to worry about how much to unload its garbage container. It is a high quality robot. It is very easy to put brushes on them or add them. From the remote control you can program how to clean it. And if needed, it can be cleaned only in one room or the whole house. At the moment I am satisfied with them. I got rid of something else at home.
Received my little house buddy 2 days ago and so far I am very impressed!!! Very easy to set up and easy to clean. Charged her up as instructed and once the little light on the charger said she was ready I set her off. Usually I read instructions first but i was itching to see her work so randomly pressed a button (turned out to be the clean button) and off she went!! Dogs didn’t seem too bothered about the new addition to the household. One of the dogs attacks the normal hoover at any opportunity and is very gobby (barky), so was pleasantly surprised at how he just walked around her and went away!! Big Bonus! Another bonus was how quiet she is, my normal hoover sounds like I have a pneumatic drill going off in the house, so this was very unexpected and quiet lovely to hear!!
She doesn’t really use a specific pattern just zig zags around the rooms!! But she managed to get through to the kitchen from the living room with no problem over the door bar! She trundled around for a while and then I decided to send her back to the charger. Only issue I found was that due to the sunlight she took a little longer than I expected but I think that was because she couldn’t pick up the charger laser (which i think she uses) due to the sun. Set her up on a schedule for the following day and moved her to her permanent home in the bedroom (I live in a bungalow).
Next day I was waiting for 10am (time of schedule) but forgot to check on her (I was in the office outside working). Once I remembered I ran in the house and found her cleaning the bedroom… she had already done the bedroom she lives in and she had done the hallway too!! She started to run out of juice (she had already been running for about an hour on carpet) so slowly made her way to her home…. didn’t go too well as she couldnt get over our very large door bar from the carpet due to lack of juice. I helped her… Decided to move her to the living room as a permanent home instead.
Today, she trundled off and done her thing in the hallway, living room and Kitchen and once I had remembered her she had already done about an hour of these 3 rooms and was still going!! Checked on her again and found her back at base, 3 rooms clear of dog fur and happily charging ready for tomorrow!
All in all very impressed as this means I am not cleaning every day (I have arthritis so its painful to keep hoovering!). She is definitely worth the money and just wish I had got her sooner!!!
We bought this to clean to use on the hard-flooring which has been put through our entire downstairs extension. It also comes in pretty handy on the kitchen floor. It is well worth the money, and I will tell you why…
It is a fair lightweight unit. It is sturdy and it’s brushes have a far reach – meaning, that it does a surprisingly good job getting into corners and getting around chair and table legs. Two spare brushes are also provided. When it is doing it’s thing it is very quiet – which is great as we prefer that it gets to work at night. We do this via a schedule which can be set on it.
The dust bin inside it is actually very big, it will take a while to fill it. When it does start to fill it you will see how good a job it does. Brushes can be taken off and cleaned but I haven’t had to do that as yet.
It comes with a solid dock which indicates when the robot vacuum is being charged. You will get at least an hour on it’s max setting. It’s quite a joy watching how it navigates itself back to the dock.
Extremely chuffed with this. For the very reasonable price, it is fantastically reliable robot vacuum cleaner.
Very powerful vacumn. Not the smartest one as it often got stuck under things it shouldn’t have tried to get under. But it was able to get over the edge of the persian rug most of the time.
About 2 months into it, it stopped working although the light would still be on. Was ready to give it a 2 star review then went to the website where it said to make sure the power switch was on…and so now it’s working again.
The product is well packaged, easy to use and I like it.
Pros:
– quiet, moves over different floors smoothly
– cleans the place like a charm without any interference needed
– Works pretty much on any type of floor except for hairy carpets
– A max option is available which I use on carpets and it worked brilliantly for initial month or so.
Cons:
– There is no app to specify what areas to avoid but magnetic tape is provided to control movement.
– After the initial month, the machine became a bit noisy but still does the work perfectly
– Hairs do get stuck to it, but nothing that a scissor can not resolve
Piece of advice:
Do get extra front side brushes. One extra pair is provided but in a month or so they do get slightly bent, kicking some stuff towards the corner of rooms which because of it’s circular design it can not clean.
I have been using my Bagotte for 6 days and am extremely impressed with its performance. The machine is compact and light, operates quietly and effectively, has excellent suction, and it’s run time lasts sufficiently long (1 hour 40 minutes) to make a real difference to floor cleanliness.
Using the remote (simple to set up) the vacuum exits from its docking device once a day and travels around the house from room to room, sometimes moving randomly or more precisely along the edges. At the end of the cycle the machine finds its way back ‘home’ to recharge. Emptying the cassette is easy and I was surprised by how much debris had been collected. Removing hairs from the roller and side brushes is also straightforward.
This product represents excellent value for money in terms of quality and performance. I would highly recommend it.
The hoover is remarkable. Yes it covers all the room including under the furniture and picks up all the dog hair which is the main reason for the purchase but more remarkable is my wife still believes I’m hoovering to a high standard each day. Customer care were prompt and helpful in sorting out a minor issue. Now to see how long my wife believes that I have a new circular laptop in the corner of the room.
I was always jealous of my sisters robot vacuum, and after some research chose this one based on price and the amount of reviews.
I have to say I love it! It’s perfect for my two bedroom flat. It’s quiet (for a vacuum), and has really been great in cutting down the time I spend on my daily chores. It has small brushes that gather dust and dirt from the corners and hard to reach places.
I have programmed it to turn itself on every morning to do each room, and returns back to its charging station ready for the following day.
I also use it once I have finished cooking. I just shut it in the kitchen to tidy up after myself whilst I eat!
This devise makes me very happy and it’s worth every penny. Now I just need to find a mop version too!
We were talking about getting a robot vacuum for a while. With the recent lock down we spend all the time at home which also means there is much more dust and we had to clean a lot more frequently so we decided to really buy the robot.
The robot is really good. I timed it to run in the middle of the night. I just use it downstairs for the kitchen and sitting room area (it was getting stuck in the corridor due to extra obstacles there). It picks up all the crumbles after our 2 year old, all the hair and a overall pretty much all the dust. It’s great to come downstairs to a clean kitchen every morning.
I clean the dust container every 2 days. It is easy and you can really see how much the robot picks up.
The movement of the robot can seem a little chaotic but I am quite sure it knows what it is doing. It runs around the room and all over the surface. The brush lets it reach to the corners pretty well.
I would definitely recommend for any families who are looking to save a little bit of time on cleaning.
I have to say that this little cleaning Robot is making my life a lot easier, as well as keeping my floors a lot cleaner looking!
Since the lockdown began, it was noticible that the floors were getting dirtier more quickly due to us being at home all the time. the thoughts of having to bring out the main vacuum cleaner every other day filled me with dread.
However charge up the Bagotte and let him loose to clean up the dust , hair and debris – so I dont have to worry about it.
his route to claning floors mihgt be like a drunken man on the way home from a bar – ie it is all over the place – but after a certain element of time the floor in that room is clean !
I would highly recommend this robotic cleaning device. I might buy one for my parents !
I absolutely love this product. There are three dogs in this house and this little machine is set to work on a daily basis in various rooms. It makes me less lazy as because I do not have to lug the vacuum out I am happy to dust and lift anything that may get in its way before setting it off. I empty the bin and brush the filter after every use – each time I use it I leave it until it runs out of juice and it either goes back to base itself or, if I have shut it in an another room from the base, I take it back to recharge. It is a quality item and simple to operate. My model is the basic one as I hate anything to do with mobile phone or App operation. I quite often set it off in the sitting room at bed time and return it to its base in the kitchen in the morning. It has transformed my life!
I was so excited for this item, it came super fast and I got to spend a few days playing around with the different functions. Suction is great, although for small light debris you should let it go over the area a second time, which is does. There’s so many functions too for whatever you need it to do, I love how it came with a dyes brushes and filter. By far way better than other robot vacuums I’ve experiences so far, and so worth the money for what you get.
Ive had the Bagotte for over three months now and it is the best device ive bought yet. He is a complete life saver and im so glad I bought him. It took about three days to find out what parts of the house he didnt like (wires, corners he might get stuck on etc) before the rooms were fully suited to him. He just takes off, cleans like a pro and returns to charge himself. The dustbox will surprise you at how much it picks up off a seemingly clean floor. The box is also quite large so there is no constant running to empty him. Our floor space is quite large, approx 2400sq ft, and two stories so I do tend to section him off into the rooms that I need done. He has a great battery life, even on the Max power mode and he is very good at getting himself back to his charging port. THe nosie level is minimal and his alert system tells you immediately what is wrong with him if he does stop by using a combination of beeps and flashes. The magnetic strip is also quite handy, especially if you dont want him to leave a specific area. I thought i would regret not getting the wifi enabled version, which was much more expensive at the time, but no, he is a great machine and he works perfectly well without being wife enabled. My negatives are few, one of the main ones is the charging base is quite light and he does struggle to get himself on to it but he does always manage it, it just seems it could have been more solid but again, a small issue which does not detract from the great work that it does. I would also say that this wouldnt be a great device in a house with very small children if you are primarily cleaning up wet/mushy food from the floor as id imagine it would destroy the bristles and cause unpleasant smells. My youngest is 7 and this works perfectly in our house.
If you are debating buying this and view it as a luxury item, please dont, it will buy you so much time and takes a load of your mind and your to do list. Worth every penny. Its also quite a classy looking device and looks quite expensive and sturdy.
Had this a few days now. I bought a Rumba about 10 years ago when they came out and ended up giving it away. I now have this which cost around 150 and a more powerful 2000 pa one with Alexa and phone integration by eufy which cost 20% more.
I am impressed with how Quiet this cleaner is, it does a pretty good job of cleaning dog hair from carpet too although the Eufy with extra suction on max is quite a bit better. The big negative though is that my robot just stops mid clean – it doesn’t even get close to returning to the base unit. My guess is the battery level reader isn’t accurate enough/working so it does not know to head back to base when it has still has enough battery to make it. I only have set to clean a small (3 m by 3 m lounge) so it doesn’t have far to go. Update: I relocated the base and for the last four nights it has returned to base.
The other issues are that it doesn’t usually go through the entrance to the dinning room and clean that. The base is next to the entrance so the robot seems to focus on the area in front but not behind the base.
It also gets trapped with Apple lightning cables if you have those, but I am guessing all robot cleaners would have the same issue personally don’t deduct stars for that. I think for the price it is a good buy, but if you can afford it (and they are still on special offer) the extra suction and control via phone app and Alexa are probably worth the extra 30
This is a cracking little roomba! Especially given the price and performance. Very well made given that Bagotte is not on the “high-end” level of the market. It comes securely packaged, with manual, spare parts and charging dock. The owners owner’s manual goes into particular detail around all aspects of the roomba, device care maintenance etc. The only negative I have is that the Bagotte’s crash sensor struggle to detect narrow barriers such as a chair leg, which is funny to watch bump into then turn in the opposite direction to continue cleaning. I would recommend this product to someone wanting to buy a roomba, without breaking the bank. I’m very pleased with my Bagotte roomba, and would recommend to others. Vacuuming has become less of a chore and certainly more fun!
My life is busy and I decided I need some help in the house. I bought vacuum robot as my friend recommended it. I bought it and I have not been disappointed. Came packed well, instructions attached, but I did not read them. I understood how to use it without them. Remote control is easy to operate and it’s clear to understand. Design is nice, compact, goes even under my bed. There is less dust now there. Works quietly, not so much noise. Goes around a house and cleans everything well. Sweeps away hair and skirts. Goes on a thick carpet with no problems. Has 6 different cleaning models and 4 different routes. You can choose what you want. I use this vacuum robot upstairs and it never fell down stairs. It has a filter and dust bin is large enough to clean all house. Cleans both wooden floors and carpets. You need to make sure to empty dustbin regularly and roller brush to clean from long hair for the best results. Very happy with a purchase as I come back home and my house is clean.
My parents and some other people I know have different robot cleaners and wanted to buy one for a while. Finally after some research I decided to stop on this one and what can I say is that it is pretty amazing! Great value for money.
It does all the work for you. It effectively sweeps away all kinds of dirt (except liquid tho, but that is fine). It gets over the carpet without any difficulties, like I heard from other people this is a pretty common negative of other brands. Goes easily under the couches as well, which is very important for me.
Noise-wise I can’t complain. Way quieter than doing the hoover. Only gets a bit louder when it is on the Max suction setting.
Easily controlled from the remote, which is cool as sometimes I want to clean certain areas only. I really like the corners only option.
Charges quickly. Lasts about an hour and a half on Auto, more than enough to go around the flat several times.
I like the design as well. It’s simple and cool. The glossy top is slick. Overall it seems like good material and feels rigid. It comes with spare brushes, which can be useful in time. The dirt tank in the back is easily removable, so cleaning it is not a big issue.
Again, I love it, great value for money, so I highly recommend it.
I can’t believe it! This amazing robotic cleaner is remarkable. It cleans my carpets, hard flooring and even clambours up onto thick shag pile rugs. That was a surprise! It’s incredibly quiet as it goes about it’s business without any supervision from me. There’s an auto option. A maximum power option, if necessary, and a spot cleaning option. The spot option is interesting. Perhaps you want to clean a small area. It doesnt go beyond a couple of feet in a random circle. I did wonder if it could cope with my thick rugs and to my surprise it did the job without a shrug to the rug.
I do have a problem though, which is in no way a reflection on the robot cleaner. It’s so fascinating that I find myself following it around instead of getting on with something else. I follow it around my bungalow watching with marvel as it navigates under the TV cabinet which cannot be reached with my main vacuum cleaner. It shoots under an open kitchen cabinet and cleans all the debris that accumulates underneath there, even my main cleaner can’t reach those places. So I either have to man-handle the furniture or attach the pesky tools.
The suction is incredible, far beyond my expectations. I’ve used it everyday and it picks up dust, dirt, general debris like sweet wrappers, breadcrumbs anything that is normally found in a domestic situation. I have 2 cocker spaniels and I wondered how it would cope with dog hair. No worries.
By the way his name is Dusty as he’s part of the family now. Dusty is so quiet he doesn’t disturb the peace. My dogs ignore him, possibly because he doesn’t have any dog treats on offer.
It has a remote control which I use often because I’m a saddo. It has a home button and when pressed Dusty makes his way back to his charging station which is located in my kitchen. The battery lasts for 60 minutes but I’ve never had to work him for that duration. When his battery is getting low he’ll make his way back to his station.
I love my Dusty.
He comes with extra spare parts like side brushes and a handy tool to clean the brush roller.
The collection compartment should be emptied after each use. You’ll be shocked at how much he picks up. It’s also very easy to empty and the instructions are chest and concise.
Highly recommended I can’t fault it.
I have constant chronic joint, muscle pain and fatigue, Dusty is my wonderful little helper. He enjoys his work. Even my hubby is impressed. Possibly because Dusty has taken over his cleaning chores!
If you’re thinking of getting one think no more. You won’t regret it.
I just which he could make the tea!
Love it. With lots of pets in the house, and working full time, my house only gets vacuumed once a week, and looks grubby all the rest of the time. Now, upstairs is done every morning as I get ready for work, and downstairs every day when I get back from work. My house has never looked so clean, and the edges of my room have never been so clean. Much as I love my shark, it can’t do edges like this baby can.
I sharked the whole house, then let this little one loose. At first, I was getting full dust bins every time, but this decreased over two weeks to half a bin.
Then I sharked the carpets again, and only managed 1/4 of a bin for the whole house!
The battery lasts over two hours if it’s charged overnight, and just over an hour if charged for 5 hours. I use it on max suction – it will last longer on lower. But one hour is enough to cover either all upstairs or all downstairs, and I’ve got a house with two large living rooms and an enormous dining kitchen, and 4 bedrooms.
Works just as well on carpets as hard floors, rugs are fine, but doesn’t like tassels or shag pile rugs. Just fold the tassels under or lift deep pile rugs out of the way.
If you’ve got shag pile carpet throughout your house – firstly, why? and secondly – this bot is no good for you. Otherwise, go for it.
The cleaning tool is great, and so good at removing hairs from the roller that I use it on my shark too.
I could time this to clean when I’m out, but it does sometimes get stuck under the rockers of my rocking chair when doing downstairs, so I prefer to be around when it’s on. It’s no big deal – whistles for help if it gets stuck, then switches off after a minute so doesn’t waste the battery. You just free it, turn it back on and away it goes.
Even with all my dogs, cats, mice, tortoises and lizards, with loads of hair, sawdust and straw, this is great at coping with it all. I guess I only really need to get the big one out every couple of weeks, just to make sure nothings being missed, but to be honest I could manage with just the baby as my only vac.
I read lots of reviews before buying this model, as well as articles comparing different robot vacs. This one comes top everywhere, above roomba and other models costing 1500. Nice one, me. Am well happy with this. It’s nice you get two spare brushes and a spare filter with it.
Highly recommend.
Before having this vacuum cleaner, I never thought I could have so much dust in my. house.
It’s very efficient in picking up the smallest dust particle and for sure, nothing remains behind.
It’s very practical, as you can set it up to clean on certain time intervals or just assign a cleaning task on the spot, without too much effort from the confort of your couch.
Charging wise, it charges only on it’s dock after finishing a task or whenever the vacuum cleaner has a low battery and needs top up.
An interesting feature is the border barrier where with the magnetic strip provided, I can stop the robot entering certain areas of my house, like my son’s Lego playing area where you can imagine the outcome
I don’t have stairs but the anti collision sensor does the job and doesn’t bump into furniture.
Overall, couldn’t be more happy about it!
We’ve had it for a week and it’s been life changing! Since I am heavily pregnant now I cannot do as many housework chores as I used to. We purchased it to help to maintain our floors clean in between thorough weekly cleanings. I didn’t want to spend lots of money on a robot and this was 165 with the discount. So far very good value for money.
Some of the patterns are very random and at the beginning I found very frustrating to see how it moves. But once you see it eventually gets the job done, you forget about it. I set it up before I leave for work to clean the whole apartment and it feels good to come back to hoovered floors everyday. You need to empty the dustbin after each clean, since it collects quite a lot of dust and debris.
I find it does not substitute the weekly cleaning since it doesn’t clean narrow spaces, skirting boards, etc., but makes a huge difference to the state of the flat. Your place will be tidier too, because you need to be careful with cords and other objects before you start the cleaning, hence it forces you to do some basic tidy up every day. I use the magnetic strip to protect the cords under the TV stand.
Sometimes it seems to struggle to find the charging base, and it dies somewhere in the middle of a room. It’s happened only on a couple of occasions though.
I was a little dubious going for an unknown brand (at least to me), but I’m super happy with my choice now. It doesn’t map, or at least not obviously, so if you’re looking for that, you probably need to go up a model or two. It seems to operate on a random walk principle, but that also means that it doesn’t struggle with multiple rooms like our old Neato did. It handles pet hair just fine (we have two dogs), and handles minor spills without problems (it doesn’t slip and slide like the Neato used too if it bumped the dog water too hard). It handles thick pile carpets reasonably well, but sometimes struggles at the corners lighter carpets because it lifts the corner up as it goes over, then struggles to get over the bump it’s just caused. The dirt bin has a decent capacity, two to three rooms, and it’s simple to clean.
Very fast shipping. It came 3 days after ordering. Very well and securely packaged. The first two days he got to know the environment and the room around without much sense. But he quickly learned the layout of the rooms and now he is doing very efficiently and definitely less time is needed for him.
A remote control with many functions makes the work much easier. The option of programming the time allows you to schedule cleaning. You can also choose the way you want to clean it as well as you can control the robot yourself using the remote control. He easily finds the charging station after work or when he sends it to. The container is quite large, so when I forget to empty it, there will be no problem with vacuuming.
Got my Bagotte vacuum cleaner yesterday, set him up and put him on charge,my cleaner came round as usual and did her stuff and left,so I thought get BOB going so he could map my rooms ect, called him BOB coz he clears all the crap up lol,any way to my horror after he had finished the amount dust, hair, dog hair and tiny particles of soil which the dog brings in from outside, the bin was nearly full,I told my cleaner she will not be needed anymore, because obviously shes not been doing her job thoroughly enough, but didn’t tell her that, and with being disabled carnt do it myself. All the fantastic reviews are completely true and BOB has excelled himself at doing a deep clean, very very happy with my new purchase and would recommend it to anyone in my situation or others without the time time to do it themselves, and it dont rob you either which I’ve had problems with previous cleaners in the past, another plus for BOB.One last thing my normal vacuum used to be terrifying for my staffi poor thing and used to shoot outside when it was turned on,this one is powerful and really quiet and it doesn’t bother her one bit ,so win win and the dogs a happy puppy again. 10 out of 10
I use this every night bumbling around downstairs when I go to bed. It hoovers up dog hair from the day (I have 3 spaniels) so I come down to a fresh smelling room each morning. I also have lines across the carpet where it has travelled around. (it doesn’t do stripes, it randomly bumps and turns and goes off again but it does cover the whole area eventually). It runs for an hour and 20 mins. It is always sitting happily back on it’s charger when I get up and I empty the box out and pull any fluff off it’s wheels, ready to go again. Since using it I have less than of the amount in my regular hoover bin when I use that one, so it is picking up well. It’s not noisy and I can watch TV while it’s running if I choose too. Dogs barked at it at first but now ignore it. Goes under table and chairs and behind sofas too as long as it has room. I have one cabinet that has legs and the gap underneath it is just big enough for the robot to go under but then it gets stuck so switches itself off for safety. I got over this easily by folding a pretty throw under the cabinet and now the robot bounces off it and carries on. I don’t use it upstairs in case it falls down the stairs but you could easily block your stairs off with a rolled up towel if you wanted to. It crosses the door grippers easily from lounge to hall to kitchen, and picks up on my thick carpet and in my kitchen lino and my hall laminate just as well. It doesn’t like long strings/threads on the carpet, or water – Keep away from dog water bowl. I’m loving my little helper. It wasn’t the most expensive but it had good reviews which I agree with xx
I have a golden retriever and was fed up of constantly looking at hair. I thought I would take a punt on a robotic hoover, thinking that if it was even the slightest bit good it would help. I researched the best robotic hoovers and this one compared well, even to ones 3 times the price. Having used the hoover now for a month, I have to say I’m blown away at how good it is. I use it on tiled floors, where as you would expect, it picks up dirt really well. But, it’s in the carpeted rooms where it has impressed me the most. I have good quality, medium pile carpets, I’m not sure it would overly good on really deep pile carpets… But for what I have used it for I have been nothing but impressed.
I would advised to empty the dust compartment after each room you use it in, and keep the brushes free of hair by cutting the hair free with scissors after each use… These simple procedures should ensure many happy years of a hoover free house… If you are thinking of it…. BUY ONE NOW!!
Love this remote control hoover. With two dogs in the winter months, my downstairs floors need constant cleaning. On the plus side, the Baguette 3600 is easy to set up; the sensors. are excellent (ie it didn’t hoover up my inquisitive dog’s tail – obviously they are usually supervised but this pup escaped), and it looks stylish and neat. Down side – suction could be a little better on carpets (no good for pet hair) but moves up and down rugs no problem. With several animals in the house, I’d never use the remote feature so set it off as I don’t know where the cat is sleeping, etc… and floors need to be cleared before use, but all in all, I’m really pleased I bought it, especially as my back suffers from chronic pain if I overdo things.
Bought the first in July and was so impressed I bought another in August. One for upstairs and one for downstairs.
I always use them on full clean mode, not max power, just let them wander around all rooms. This is done on a daily basis.
I had read in many reviews, of the Robovacs, that the sensors need constant attention. I found this at first, but after a few weeks there was so much less dust that they only need cleaning occasionaly now, be patient.
Runtime differs, one runs for around 100mins the other less by about 15 minutes. I contacted Bagotte who were very helpful, very quick response & very polite. I was satisfied with how they dealt with it matter.
Cleaning is reasonable to good, although neither of them has found a way to clean the stairs yet (Ha-Ha, if only). Corners are not too well cleaned though they are not very dirty. The main areas, which are dirtiest, are generally cleaned well. They do not compare to a vacuum cleaner, if you were to do a full clean of your house every day. They do keep the house clean when they are used every day, you would only notice if you were to look in the areas they can’t reach, behind the settee etc. I spend a couple of minutes each day in emptying & the occasional sensor clean. If I were to do the the same level of cleaning with the vacuum, it would probably be around an hour. So, yes I think they’re great.
My husband is a wheelchair user and this means there is usually bits of dirt & grit brought in on the tyres, this gets ground into the carpets & finds its way into the joints between floorboards. I have noticed in the five months of daily use, all the joints are now free from grit/dirt & the carpets have less ground in muck. As I frequently go barefoot I’ve noticed that the floors feel much cleaner. Oh yes, we also have a cat & it is good at cleaning up the fur.
Overall, I would recomend this model. It is reasonabley quiet & cleans to a good standard. I have not tried a Romba or one of the more expensive models so cannot compare it. Also I didn’t want a complicated version with app control. Just run it every day while you’re out, why
you need to know where it is in the house, beats me. Just extra things which could go wrong.
I have been using this product for about 3 months. I use this product for routine cleaning in an apartment that I do not use frequently. I am checking the premises once every two weeks. The robot is programed to do one automatic cleaning cycle every day. The layout of the apartment consists of practically two rooms connected by a narrow short corridor. The robot has no problem in serving the room that has the charging station. At the beginning, the robot did find its way on the other room, but twice “lost its way back” to the charging station and I found it “dead” in the room that does not have the charging station. Apparently, after a while, I have noticed that the robot has been able to “learn” and find it way to the other room and back to the charging station. It would be nice if the device allowed for programed cycles in specific days. Currently it allows you to pick up the hour, but it will do the cleaning cycle every day. It can get stuck on door sills that are about 2 cm high. The magnetic strip that comes with it is useful, but it would be nice if Bagotte allowed for ordering extra.
I don’t normally write many reviews however, I feel this deserves one. So far I have been impressed with this hoover. For the price this is a great product with a spinning brush and two front brushes this pretty much picks up everything in its path, if it does lent the max suction button gets it.
Completes a whole floor of the house on less than one charge and despite the small size of its canister it can hold a great deal. Robot vacuums have clearly come a long way over the years. Great for pet hair and returns to its charging station every time without problem.
Not many down sides but if I were to pick one it would be that it does push my rug up when trying to go over it which I think we have solved by taping down with double sided tape. I would also say that it could be improved further by providing an app to control it with along with the remote control.
My elderly mother struggles up and down the stairs carrying her upright vacuum cleaner. I have been looking at robotic solutions for the past few years, but was put off by the high-end models costing over 800 and the cheaper products with poor reviews. This vacuum cleaner from Bagoote sits in the middle of the price range and has some excellent reviews around the internet.
It was important to me that the vacuum was able to clean both laminate floors and short pile carpets as my parents house has both. Having used the vacuum for almost a month, I can honestly say I am astounded by how good it is for the money. The charging base is small and unobtrusive; the instructions say to site it along a wall but as this was not possible we placed it between a bed and a cabinet and it has found it’s way home every time, even when the battery is getting low on charge. The motor is extremely quiet even in high power mode and the vacuum has 6 cleaning modes. We let the vacuum “explore” the entire upper floor of the house and were particularly impressed by it’s ability to gently bump into objects without leaving any marks or causing any damage to itself or the stationery object. The vacuum stopped smartly at the top of the stairs and turned to clean along the edge. The battery lasts just under 2 hours on a full charge by which time the vacuum has returned to the power dock to be recharged ready for the next time. The only thing which robotic vacuums don’t do is empty the dust chamber; this is very simple to remove and empty and has a filter on top to prevent dust getting into the motor.
If you are looking to get into robotic vacuums, this is a fabulous model to own. The dust compartment filled quite quickly and we were particularly impressed with the vacuum’s ability to pick up small objects (smaller than a cat biscuit,) dust and pet hair. Before purchasing we checked to see if spare parts were readily available; the vacuum is supplied with 2 sets of rotary brushes and filters and replacement sets are sold by Amazon which is very reassuring. Although it isn’t Alexa compatible, you can add the vacuum control to a Harmony Hub by using the included remote control and from then on, just say “Alexa, clean my room” and away it goes. I just wish I had found this earlier in my search. I don’t think you will find a better robotic vacuum cleaner for less than 300.
Bought to help with the hoovering in the house as I am sick of playing the “its your turn” game with hubby. We did have a Roomba Irobot a while back which we bought in 2013. He unfortunately took a dive off the top of the stairs early this year, we blame the cat but he’s not admitting to anything.
Whilst we missed our Roomba I wasn’t wiling to pay the price that comes with him. This robot vacuum is great for the price, we have named him Barry and as you can see from the picture, we have given him googly eyes so that he can see where he is going.
Barry is great, we have scheduled him to come on once a day while we are at work and does the kitchen, lounge, office and hallway with no issues at all. He stands his ground against one of our cats too, she likes to give him a good swipe as he goes past. The best part about Barry is that he comes with a remote, you can set him to spot clean where he goes around in growing circles, set him going around the edges of a room or you can navigate him yourself, we find this useful to chase the cats with. He also has a “max” suction setting button, we use this on the carpets upstairs.
So far he has had no issues with cat fur, bits of litter that somehow end up all over the house, hair, general fluff and biscuit crumbs. He is easy to set up, the instructions are easy enough to follow so you can set his schedule and he is easy to empty. He goes back to his charging dock when he gets tired, so far he hasnt had any issues and he is always back there when we get home. All in all very happy with him.
So impressed! I’ve had this robot vacuum for over a year now and I can’t believe how effective it is, especially given the very reasonable price compared to some others. It does an amazing job on the parquet floor of my flat- and a very decent clean on the living room rug too. I set it off every few days, and then every few weeks I just dust any hard to reach areas. The flat has never looked so clean. It’s not too noisy, but doesn’t like cables, tassels, my sons clothes on the bathroom floor etc, and can get stuck under things – the radiator and occasionally one of the kitchen units (when it gives a little sad beep until I rescue it). It recognises the drop of the staircase and I don’t have to use any tape to mark anything. I empty the cassette about once a week. It cleans for about 90min (which nicely covers my 75m2 flat), before going back to its base. I couldn’t ask for more. Hope I live to see the same for mopping, dusting, ironing, cleaning bathrooms, folding clothes, making beds.. and packed lunches, cooking, doing tax returns etc etc.
Well I’m no robot vacuum virgin. This is my 3rd. The others were Neato’s. They were smarter and more expensive.
They were also more trouble.
Setting up the Bagotte was easy. It seemed like I was always tinkering with the Neato’s. I spent a lot of time watching videos on how to fix them or phoning the help line. The Bagotte hasn’t been like that. I set it up using the remote to clean at the same time every day and it does it. I empty it when I come in from work. That’s exactly what I needed it for.
I’ve used the function from the remote to clean the edges of the room, a single room and a spill. It worked brilliantly! I have used it on maximum power. Only for a single room though and my guess is that it uses a lot more battery, but it performed admirably and does a decent size room on a single charge easily.
It’s not a smart robot. By that I mean that it maps everything every time you start it up. It doesn’t retain the map from last time. Nor does it clean your carpet in straight lines and leave it looking like a bowling green. I wonder about that function over an extended period the Neato used to leave marks in your carpet as it takes the same route every time. Most noticable in the corners of the carpet as the shape is a bit phallic. Knobs basically.
It does my place on a single charge, but it probably takes a little longer than the Neato’s I’ve had. I don’t care because I’m not there when it cleans.
There is no wifi option, but I really don’t need that. In fact I’m not sure anybody really needs that. It might be nice to have, but that’s it.
For those of you who have never owned a robot vacuum, they clean better and worse than a hand held. Their ability to clean under low furniture is far in excess of what I could manage with my Dyson. Doing multiple rooms, they don’t clean behind the door. This is remedied with a single room clean. Just shut the Bagotte in after it starts and turn up the suction to maximum. It does a cracking job. Because its round, it shouldn’t do a good job in the corners. I really haven’t noticed that so far. It might be taken care of by the ridiculously long side brushes.
So far I have only had to empty the bin and clean some hair out of the roller brush.
Overall the Bagotte has worked effortlessly. Brilliant!
6 months update!
It’s worked for the last 6 months faultlessly. It’s got stuck a few times, but that was my fault. Stick it back on the charger and start again.
Absolutely, trouble free. I can’t recommend it highly enough…
Far exceeded expectations. Gets on with vacuuming with minimal fuss and intervention. Can’t fault it’s cleaning ability. Obviously these devices have limitations (e.g. can’t clean stairs or pelmets) and I must say I was skeptical but, having taken the plunge, I am really pleased with the job this vacuum does. Seems well made and well designed too with easy to empty and clean parts.
One tiny issue: when it passes under some low height furniture the operating button on top can get pressed and powers the machine off unintentionally. If they had recessed the button slightly this would not happen. Still a pretty minor niggle.
So far so good – have used this daily for nearly two weeks and love it. With cats and dogs and adjacent garden the hard surface floors and rugs show every scrap of dust or hair. The Bagotte negotiates furniture well in this overcrowded L shaped open plan kitchen, dining, sitting room and adjacent hall and loo area. I lift the smaller side tables and loose items before setting it off and position the two large dining chairs to allow it full access all round. It docks well and recharges quickly. Occasionally gets stuck cleaning under the hall night storage heater but works its way out of other dead ends. The dust container needs emptying every second run, though I tend to do it each time. I use it upstairs in bathroom, bedroom and landing but have installed a baby gate on the top landing to avoid stair accidents. It copes well with ‘Worlds Best’ lightweight cat litter scattered around cat tray but not heavy or large things eg gravel, twigs, leaves – similar to a lightweight stick vacuum. Have not tried programming it yet as prefer to be around since the cats and puppy stalk it or refuse to move away (it senses them and avoids collisions). So far, very good, no drawbacks. Quiet when running, just beeps when in distress. Very happy indeed and can recommend.
I’ve lusted after one of these for sooooo long… Just wasn’t sure if it was all a bit of a gimmick & worth the price. In the end my husband & I decided to go halves as we struggle so much to keep on top of the housework whilst working & with a child too… I’m so glad we did it, this is absolutely brilliant! Its such a clever little thing, how on earth it knows where to go & then to find it’s way back to the charger is a total mystery to me but it does it so effortlessly. I was a bit worried a few times when it disappeared under the sofa (where no-one has been for many years) if I’d ever see it again, but out it came & merrily went on its way. I also didn’t know if the suction would be up to much, but it literally leaves a clean trail wherever it goes (yes our floors are that dirty). There’s also a handy little strip that comes with it that it knows to avoid so it won’t launch itself off stairs & things. As you can see from the pic, it sucked up a surprising amount in a very small amount of time but the dustpan has a fairly generous amount of storage so I’m hoping it won’t get full too often. I’m actually looking forward to going to work tomorrow & coming home to clean floors – it will be like having a house cleaner that you never have to make small talk with or worry about finding any *ahem* personal items… It seems to come with spares of various things too which is a bonus. I’m hoping it has a long & happy life with us (unless it decides its more clever than us & chooses to overthrow its inferior human overlords, in which case I’m sending it back!)
In a house with 2 kids and 2 cats, it’s fair to say it’s pretty hectic and my house can get annoyingly dirty very quickly. Because of my cats, which are indoor cats, I have to hoover everyday to pick up loose hair and cat litter flicked across my floor. In order to help with this, we discussed buying a robot vacuum after seeing my friends beavering around this living room and searching Amazon picked this one up as their was a money off voucher when I bought it.
The vacuum itself is reasonable size, but not too big to take up wanted space. I have its plugged in the corner of my room and don’t notice it charging away. After a bit of reading up I set it up, not using the magnetic strips as I want it to wander around my full downstairs. You can programme it to go off and clean at different times, which I do during the day when I’m not at home, twice- once about an hour before I get home. I’ve had it a couple of weeks now and such a pleasing sight to come home and not have a pile of cat litter, or a days worth of cat hair to pick up, and it’s like it’s been cleaned up by magic as the robot is sat in the corner recharging itself. The package comes with a controller which you can use to set it up, or just push it to go off and clean, it has some brushes and spare filters which means it should last a good while, the charing dock and the robot.
I do still do a hoover around at the weekend with my powerful plug in, but because of this little bot, it makes life a lot easier on a daily basis. They are clearly a luxury item, and high price for a gadget, but I’m happy enough with the unit and price point to be seriously considering buying a second one for upstairs. (If only the robot could clime stairs lol).
Have already recommended to friends and my brother in law bought the same one! Overall a really cool little thing, which as got lots of comments from my friends. Even my cats have got used to it now!
Top tip- put some stick on goggle eyes on it to make them really come to life. Mines could Vinnie Vacuum. Lol
I did two videos a before and after but i can only upload one video. So i have taken screenshots from the after one and uploaded them along with the before video. It wasn’t quite finished in the after photos but the difference can clearly be seen.
This is my daughters room and i have too hoover it pretty much every day as the finest things show up on it (its black).
Anyway purposely left it a few days ( at least) just to test out how good this hoover is. My current hoover (a well known brand) never normally manages to get all the fine hairs, glitter and little bits of whatever she has been doing off the carpet and it takes me forever if i want it perfect. Anyway.. the results from this hoover after a short time are amazing, it got everything! I never expected it would pick it all up but it did!
Setting it up was a breeze, you basically push in the brushes, charge it up and press the auto button on the remote and off Bob goes! (yes we have followed the tradition of naming the robot hoover – if you do a bit of research before purchasing one you will discover naming them is a thing! lol ) you can set a schedule clean, which is one button on the remote and you just enter what time you want him to clean and push okay. One negative is he doesn’t seem to be able to tell if something high gloss is in his way and bumps into it but its no major thing for me or him, he just turns around and carries on like nothing happened. There is max button for more suction which I haven’t needed to use yet as the suction seems to be fine for our house.
Changing from hard floor to soft is no problem for it, I did worry about this but there is no issues. He has also always managed too find his way home too when he starts going flat, which fasinates me. lool
I am actually considering (if the other half agrees ) getting another one so I can have one upstairs and one downstairs and then i don’t have to move him all the time. Can’t live without it now and I feel like i am living my best lazy life
I am so impressed with this product!! I’ve been looking for a robot vacum for ages so that I can start it cleaning whilst im doing other things, plus all of my floors are laminate so its perfect!
The feature that impressed me the most was the auto clean feature! I set the vacuum to start cleaning at 8:45 and it came out on its own and started cleaning, this is perfect because it means i can time the vacuum to start cleaning whilst i am at work, so convinient!!
There is also a button to send it back to the charging port, which again you can see me demonstrate in my video.
The suction power or the vaccuum is great, it cleaned up my pet hairs no problem, i was very impressed, removing and cleaning the filter was also really simple to do too.
Overall I am so so happy with this product, probably one of the best things ive bought on amazon so far! Cannot recomend it enough. You NEED to try this product!
The Bagotte robot vacuum is excellent. I have to say it was a little bigger than expected but it’s not too big that its cumbersome. The ability to program it is great and it’s ability to self navigate is amazing. It starts off covering the large center areas of the room and then goes off sweeping all the edges. It is much more effective than I expected and navigates the room much better than expected. The robot vacuum even manages to get in under the table and chairs and hoover underneath there, takes a bit of time to get back out, but always managed.
The self charge feature is awesome, once power is low or you take pity on him and push the home button, within a minute he’s back at base charging up for the next round.
Emptying is also very simple, he always back onto the charging pad so the waste bin is exposed meaning it’s just one button push to remove the dust and tip it into the bin.
Overall a very clever piece of machinery that actually does a remarkably good job.
My review is based on my experience comparing this robot vacuum against one I bought a year ago for half the price.
All robot vacuums work more or less the same way, but this machine does have a couple of plus points over many of the others on the market I compared.
Suction power:
This machine is rated at around 1,500Pa, about 4-500 more than my previous robot. Now, my previous machine picked up a lot, but with the extra 50% power, this one picks up more or less every thing on the floor, both on hard wood and carpets.
Cleaning ability:
This machine has three rotary brushes whereas most (including my previous robot) only have two. The central rotary tool is the main reason why I chose this model, as this is why it works so well on carpets.
My previous robot never picked up any hair or first out of our carpets, but this machin picks almost everything up and now means we rarely need to get the Dyson out.
Maneuverability:
This robot is 2.8 inches tall, slightly shorter than my previous robot, meaning it can get underneath shelves and chairs easier. In fact, there’s nothing in my house that it can’t get under now, whereas my previous robot was slightly too tall to fit under the sofa.
Remote:
The remote has a directional pad so you can manually control it, and also has several cleaning modes, including auto, edges and max power.
It also has a feature to schedule cleaning per day – so with this I can set it up to clean at 4pm, which should mean it should complete the clean and return to the dock to charge just before I get home from work.
Battery / Charging:
The battery power seems to last for over an hour and a half, whereas my previous robot lasts only 40 minutes before needing to recharge.
It will return to it’s base to charge when it needs to without any prompting, which is very handy.
Waste storage / disposal:
The waste storage box is located on the back of the machine, instead of inside the top as with my old one. It’s quite large and can fit a significant amount of dirt and dust. Obviously it can’t fit as much as a regular sized vacuum, but it is a lot for a robot.
It’s very easy to empty – just pinch, pull and open, then slot it back in when you’re done.
Noise:
I expected that as this is 50% more powerful than my last robot that it would be that much louder, however, it is actually about half the volume.
The rotary tool is surrounded by rubber edges that I think keep the suction power focused on the ground, which has the side effect of reducing noise.
If anything, this is the quietest vacuum I have heard and at first I wasn’t sure if it was working correctly because it was so quiet.
Price:
I got this with a discount code on Amazon so it was cheaper than normal, but the normal 200 price is still great for this robot, especially when I consider how much time it now saves me.
Conclusion:
A vast improvement over my last robot vacuum and well worth the money for a very quiet, very powerful and very convenient little device.
Overall, this is a great product. Very quiet, with effective cleaning. It goes around on a fairly random route so probably takes a lot longer than if it mapped a room but I guess that would equal much higher cost. The auction is good, picks up most things and is effective with dog hair. I have two labradors and believe me there’s a lot of it! The remote control is useful if only for the return to base button that sends the unit back to its charging station. It comes with a useful selection of tools and spares including brushes, filter and a very useful tool for cutting hair away from the brush. This is a must in my house as the brush gets clogged with pet hair otherwise. It’s great to be able to set this to run on a timer too.
Bought this as a present for my wife because I know how neat-freak she is. This is our first robot vacuum and I chose this over the others as I normally trust ‘Amazon Choice’ products. I would say that this thing does its job really well. It makes my wife so happy as it’s easy to use and helps big time. It’s efficient, effective and saves time and effort, giving us more time together and with the baby. My favorite about this vacuum is that it picks up pesky hair and small insects which my wife really hates. I tried to empty the dust bin the other day and to my surprise, it picked up a hefty amount of dust, hair etc. It’s surely easy to use and clean. Some details I can note:
-It also has a light indicator showing the status of the machine/ battery.
-It goes back to it’s charging base automatically by itself when it gets ‘tired’.
-It’s really quite. won’t even bother my baby while he sleeps.
-It has different mode of cleaning. I put mine just in auto.
-It has bumpers so it bumps carefully on edges and furniture legs
-it comes with a very user friendly manual and it comes in different language.
Overall, I’m satisfied with how this works on our mostly carpeted house. It’s price justifies its efficiency. In regard to it’s durability, I can’t comment yet as I’ve been using this close to a week but so far everything works fine as I use it daily. I will update this post if something comes up though I believe I can trust its company’s customer service/ warranty.
Further update: I received a new robot and this one works as expected. No issue finding its charging dock. Only once got stuck when dealing with the stairs. Great suction power, especially when on Max mode. Enjoy the edge of the room cleaning mode. For the price this is is an excellent purchase – spare parts are included as well as batteries for the remote. I am enjoying a fuss free cleaner home!
UPDATE: FROM 5 TO 1 STAR
Keeps getting stuck in random places, with no sign of the reasonfor said stoppage. Cannot find it’s way home. Emailed support and it’s been a week now with no response. Very poor. I have subsequently bought the EUFY 15 MAX and it is a great piece of kit. Spend the extra 40 and buy a MUCH BETTER product – which includes genuine customer support. Very disappointed and will as a result of this experience NEVER buy a Bagotte product again.
For under 200 I think this is a bargain. The packaging is sound, keeping the robot safe and sound in transit. Comes with a few spare parts – excellent thinking. I have tested the various modes the bot has built in… all work well. I really enjoy the edge of room clean – great at getting rid of the dirt that makes it way there.
Overall a great piece of kit – and as a bonus my two children love watching it when it is zooming around the room!
This robot does a very good job. I always have problem cleaning the carpet underneath my bed, and now the robot can do the job. I wanted to get a Dyson 360 but that one is just too tall to go underneath my bed.
This robot has very good suction power as well. It picks up dusts and hair pretty well. I have deep pile carpet and I am surprised that it can do a good job. The docking also works well.
Overall the robot is very good. The only thing that I want to complain is that it doesn’t have an APP and WiFi connection. But I suppose it is too much to ask for with a vacuum that cost less than 200.
I didn’t want to spend too much money as I wasn’t sure how well it would work. However I am impressed with its ability to clean, both hard floors and carpets. We do not have any long pile carpets, so do not know how well it works. The suction is good, but the debris compartment is very small, so fills up quickly, but that is expected as it is a small appliance. We generally get it to clean one or two rooms and then put it back onto charge. The one thing that is missing is being able to set it to start and stop after a certain time. You can set it to start at a time, but not sure yet about getting it to stop after for example an hour. However there is the facility to get it to work for 30 minutes and it will then stop on its own. I am very pleased with the purchase at this stage.
I bought this vacuum after reading all the great reviews, then worried they were fake, as there were so many good reviews and no bad ones. So I’m here to offer an honest, undiluted opinion of this bot-vac, which I’ve had for a couple of weeks. I’ll come back with an update in a few months to let you know if it’s still working!
So far, it’s brilliant – despite having, in my opinion, a slight design fault, otherwise I’d have given it 5 stars.
This fault can be seen in the pictures I’ve taken. The first shows the vacuum as it comes, with a thin rubber cushion at the bottom to mitigate the impact of it bumping into furniture, which it does. However, there isn’t one along the top edge and this may not be a problem for many, but I have furniture with slanted legs, which means the top ridge of the vacuum cleaner comes into direct contact with the furniture and the bottom, rubber-protected part, doesn’t!
This was remedied with a trip to B&Q to buy a rubber draught excluder and some strong, double-sided tape to make a makeshift rubber bumper at the top. It doesn’t look very nice but it seems to be protecting my slant-legged furniture. (the draught excluder is not an ideal solution as it’s a bit flimsy but it was the best I could find – a thin but robust rubber strip would be best.)
With that said, the vac-bot has great suction and cleans my flat efficiently – I have both laminate and carpeted floors. It’s quieter and much, much lighter than my Henry Hoover, which is now gathering dust, if you’ll excuse the pun, not having been used since the vac-bot purchase. Henry gives a more thorough clean overall as it can reach the parts (ie corners) that the rounded vac-bot can’t get into, but I just use a broom in the corners (or at least the ones that show!).
The vac-bot will sometimes travel in directions I find illogical but if I leave it alone, it WILL makes its way around all of the room and pick up the bits it missed earlier. It does tend to spit out from the rear small dustballs but then hoovers them up again on its way back across the room.
It works well on auto mode, edge-cleaning mode, room cleaning mode and the spot cleaning mode is brilliant. It also has a max power mode, which I use on the carpeted areas. It responds well to the remote control and finds its way back to its charger efficiently.
Beware though – one night I was sprawled out on the couch watching TV and was startled when the vac-bot started up by itself for no apparent reason. It gave me a wee bit of a fright! I don’t think I programmed a timed clean either but this is a minor thing. I just make sure now that I switch off the vacuum while its in its charger and it hasn’t happened since.
Another thing is that it doesn’t like rug tassles or wires, which can cause the small brushes to come off, so you have to make sure your floor is clear of them. If you do this, the small brushes will not come off.
The vac comes with a long magnetic strip which acts as a barrier to stop the vac going into a room or area you don’t want it to. I cut mine into two to make two strips but really you need more, as I end up using my long Nordic walking poles as extra barriers for additional rooms.
With all that said, my opinion after 2 weeks is that overall it’s brilliant for the price and has transformed my life – my flat is so much cleaner because I no longer dread dragging the hefty and heavy Henry hoover round my flat (incidentally a great hoover but very hard work! However, I won’t be chucking him out as the flat will need a proper going over every so often and Henry can get into the corners.
The issues I’ve highlighted would not persuade me to part with my vac-bot – I love it! And if it weren’t for these minor things it would have got 5 stars.
I’ll be back to post an update further down the line to let you know of this vac is still working as efficiently as it does now. but so far it may well be the best 200 quid I’ve spent.
UPDATE: 1 year later: it’s still working, I still like it because it saves me loads of time and means I don’t have to exhaust myself dragging my Henry hoover round the flat…. BUT, it is making a bit of a grunty noise, as if the engine isn’t as robust as it once was. So far it hasn’t conked out and the grunty noise does subside after the hoover has been up and running for 10 mins or so. But I am still pleased with my purchase. Will update again if it breaks down!

A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!!!!! This is the best purchase I have ever ever made, it has saved my marriage as we no longer argue over who is going to do the vaccuming ! We have 2 small dogs and they constantly shed hair so our little Bagotte cleans them all up and the floor looks so clean all the time. It takes away the stress of having to hoover up. It scoots around the room quite randomly and when it has been going for about an hour it goes around the edges of the room – it navigates itself round furniture, dogs, cats – anything on the floor. Then when finished it takes itself back to the charging station. There is a little dust pan that you need to clean and an easily removable filter that you need to keep clean also. FANTASTIC little item and I cannot recommend this enough!
I bought this on a whim after a different brand has popped up on my Pinterest. I detest hoovering and frankly am not very good at it. I had been toying with buying a cordless vacuum and when one of these popped up I checked Amazon to see how much they were. I quickly read some reviews, smirked at all the people who had named theirs and bought this one as it was within my price range. I thought I would be sending it back within the week. I was WRONG.
Dobby lives in a three bedroom house, carpets upstairs and varying hard floors downstairs. Yes, I have named him. I LOVE him.
Dobby lives with two cats who love nothing more than to shed fur all over the house. Dobby is AMAZING.
Obviously, he is not a time saver in the early days as you have to follow him round, checking to see where he can get stuck and preventing that going forward. The amount of dust, grit, cat fur, biscuits and litter he picked up was astonishing. He glided underneath most of my furniture and vacuumed up dust bunnies and cobwebs. Once I had emptied his bin, I took him upstairs and set him off again. Again I was astonished and slightly repulsed by all the car hair and dust he retrieved from under the beds and wardrobes.
Since then, I put him on a timer and he glides off, does his thing and glides back to recharge on his dock without any intervention from me apart from when I carry him upstairs. I do empty his bin and check his brush is free to spin round every day. This is the least I can do for him after he has worked so hard on my house. I have tested all the different features of the remote control and it’s all good. He has never fallen down the stairs and he’s equally good on both carpeted and hard floors. Yes, he may struggle with corners a little bit or those awkward bits around a radiator pipe but he is a thousand times better at vacuuming than I am. While I can’t say he has changed my life, I can say he has utterly changed my house and I have been inspired to tackle some other hated chores to give him a home to be proud of!
I can’t speak for his longevity as I have not had him very long but I can guarantee that when necessary, I would not hesitate to get another one. I once thought these were a luxury for those with too much money on their hands. I now know that Dobby is a household necessity, like a fridge or washing machine.
UPDATE: My grandmother loved Dobby so much, she has bought one for herself!! I took him round her house to show her what he can do and saw an acquisitive gleam in her eye. Her cat and dog were not frightened by Dobby and despite her house looking very clean, he picked up lots of fur and grit just like he does for me. BOOM! An amazon order has been placed!

Great vacuum for a Star Wars fan!
Only had it a few days but my floors have ver looked as good with me doing nothing other than pushing go! We are mainly hard floors down stairs with a few rugs so it’s probably the easiest surfaces to keep clean. We have dogs and every bit of hair / ‘bits’ shows up. But once this has been on a clean cycle I’m more than pleased with it. I love how quiet it is as well!
I bought a Bagotte BG600 Robot nearly three weeks ago and found it working perfectly well so far. The robot does a much better and more thorough job than I expected coping very well with my wooden and carpet flooring. It goes everywhere and never gets stuck, it goes under the bed and sofa and even makes an extra pass around all the edges of everything. I leave all the doors open and it does the whole floor for my two bedroom flat and then returns itself back to its charging station. It is really fun to watch it going around. It is a time saver, I can do other housework while the robot does the vacuuming for me. I can even be at work and have the robot clean the floor. Now I am telling all my friends that they should get one.
As an owner of an Irobot roomba which has been consistently annoying since we bought it 9 years ago for twice the price, I did think twice about buying another robot vacuum. However, my hatred of hoovering took priority.
Compared to our 500 series Roomba:
* The Bagotte is far, far quieter than the roomba, even on maximum suction mode.
* Bagotte does not have an annoying ‘nobble’ on top – this leads to roomba getting trapped under all sorts of furniture. Even top of the range roombas still have the ‘nobble’.
* Obviously it is much cheaper.
* The two brushes on the Bagotte make more sense than the one brush used by roomba, which don’t brush edges effectively at all, and sometimes flick bits of dirt out of its path so it misses them.
* Roomba doesn’t seem to have a good ability to sense objects, repeatedly bashing into them. Bagotte avoids objects much better and those which it does knock, it merely taps, which is also much quieter.
* The dust container looks to be about the same size.
The brush tool isn’t very good. A hair comb or something like that will probably be useful.
The bagotte comes with a piece of metallic tape, which you can lay down to prevent it going into certain areas. Contrary to another reviewer, this seems to work perfectly well. It is better than the irobot ‘virtual wall’ because it can be bent and shaped to your requirements, and doesn’t need a battery.
Bagotte also comes with a remote control. Irobots costing above 400 can be controlled by your phone, but not their cheapest version. The remote control can be used to do a the whole floor, turn on max power (not on automatically), focus on small spot, just do edges. You can also set a timer, which turns it on at the same time every day. This is the only feature irobots have which is better – that you can also select certain days.
The roomba has cost us a lot in repairs. Despite supposedly having technology which prevents it eating cables, we have had to buy two new brush cages plus a new battery, which cost about 70 each. I can’t say about replacement parts for bagotte, but the lower initial price definitely softens the blow.
Another factor which you may wish to consider is that irobot also make military technology; something I only realised after purchasing it. Personally, I would rather not fund war.
So far, the bagotte seems to be vacuuming our carpet very well. The 1500pa suction seems to be at the higher end of the suction spectrum that you can get for robot hoovers.
If you’re buying a robot hoover for the first time, my advice is:
Beware of cables and shoelaces, which can be lethal!
You may have to rearrange some of your furniture to accommodate the hoover. For example, rugs with tassels are incompatible with robot hoovers. There might also be items it gets stuck under (I haven’t noticed this with the bagotte as yet)
Don’t get rid of your manual hoover, you will still need to do edges occasionally and hoover stairs yourself (my dream is that one day they’ll design one that can do stairs too!)
You will have to clean the machine frequently, possibly after every use if you have pets as the hair clogs the whole thing up. I keep a pair of hairdressing scissors near the docking station for this purpose.
Above all, buy one! It’ll change your life. Well maybe that’s hyperbole, but it will save you a lot of time which you can spend on far more productive tasks such as saving the world (or watching TV or whatever…)

I live with 3 cats and a small dog in a house with carpet and this vacuum cleaner is really making a difference in the hygiene of my house!
It’s powerful, collect really well pet hair from both the carpet and the hard floor. Sometimes it miss a spot but I suppose it is because my animals need to hang around it all the time so it feel their presence as an obstacle and struggle a bit to map the room, but in a normal situation I assume it should work well. The battery last long enough to clean all the floor (small kitchen, 2 reception rooms and a small corridor).
It’s not noisy at all, I can easily watch the telly while it goes.
It’s actually really short so it can go under the sofa and most of the furniture to clean well even where I cannot clean with my normal vacuum cleaner.
I planned to use it on a daily basis and hoover with the manual one once a week but (and I’m really pleased) it works so well that after three weeks of using it (and even not every day) I haven’t had to vacuum yet.
The only thing that makes it a bit tricky to use it is that I need to prepare the house in the morning (lifting the chairs, covering some wires, try to put away the dog toys…) otherwise it can get stuck.
But overall, and especially considering the price that I paid, is a purchase that exceed my expectation!
I love this cleaner, we’ve had branded robot vacuums before and everytime they fall short, either the suction isn’t as powerful as it should be or the battery doesn’t last, this one however exceeds my expectations and I love it when a small brand does this and beats the big guys hands down. The battery seems to last so long it does our 4 bedroom house ground floor easily on a single charge, it gets in all the nooks and cranny and seems to pick up loads from the carpet… So much so we hardly have to vacuum anymore and we have a dog and children. This is definitely a pleasant surprise for the price, I would recommend it to anyone.
I purchased this robotic vacuum mainly for three reasons:
– suction power
– design
– price
Well, I already have a Roomba that I’ve paid around 500 back in 2012, and at that time you could only buy crap products if you didn’t want to spend half a thousand quid on a decent robotic vacuum. Luckily, that has now changed.
Included in the box of this Bagotte there are two replacement side brushes and an additional filter, the IR remote control (+ batteries), magnetic stripes (haven’t used them), charging dock (+ UK wall plug), manuals+warranty, and a nice tool/brush/blade that helps with the cleaning/servicing.
There are some details that let you understand this is a very good quality product, and not the classic Chinese mediocre ripoff:
– on the front of the robot there is a rubber line that prevents the plastic bumper from scratching furniture or marking walls
– the two buttons (“clean” on top, and on-off switch button on the bottom) are covered by a rubber shield so that dust won’t get into them, this potentially means the robot will last longer
– despite not having a complete mapping navigation system, this robot doesn’t move completely randomly
– the main brush is of very high quality, the plastic feels very sturdy and the mix of bristles and plastic “blades” on the brush axle make it suitable for both hard floors and carpets
– the charging dock has a compartment, on the back, where to store the
– it slows down before hitting a wall/leg, so it is very gentle when it touches your stuff
The design is very good, the rubber button on the top gives a very good feedback and looks cool when it’s highlighted in blue/purple/red, and the main surface on the top I believe it’s made out of glass (or anyway very scratch-resistent plexiglass).
Battery-wise, it lasts around an hour and a half in normal mode, and a full hour in max power mode. In both modes, it’s much quiet than my Roomba. In auto mode, the robot will run until it gets low battery, then it will dock to recharge. In room mode, it will run for 30 minutes and then dock.
And in max power mode it goes at up to 1500pa, which is very good for 199, as most of other robot vacuums at this price have between 800 and 1300pa.
Talking about navigation, it goes very well around the house, first it goes back and forth in straight lines, then it does the edges, then again in the middle of the room without touching the edges, then again back-and-forth up to edges, edge cleaning, and middle of the room, kind of in loop. Which is much better than Roomba’s random navigation. Also, having not just one but two side brushes, it cleans the edges much better than Roomba (much much better).
Thanks to his reduced height, it also can go below my wall-hung toilet, where Roomba couldn’t.
The dust bin is HUGE (there’s no official capacity stated anywhere, but I’m sure it’s between 500 and 650ml – again, much bigger than Roomba’s).
Let’s get to the negative points then:
– it’s only possible to schedule cleaning based on a single hour, so you can’t select which days of the week you want the cleaning. Just the time, and it will run at that time every day (unless you delete the schedule)
– when it starts a scheduled cleaning, it will always use normal suction power, you can’t have it starting a scheduled cleaning with max power (not a big issue anyway, since a scheduled cleaning will run everyday, it doesn’t need the maximum power)
– it has no Wi-Fi or fancy “smart” features, there are other robots at this price that have them, however they have lower vacuum power, worse design and materials, and old-generation brushes. So, no thanks. I’ll stick with my Bagotte with no Wi-Fi but that knows how to clean
– the side brushes are made of a quite soft plastic, so they’ll need to be replaced a bit more often than let’s say the one of a Roomba (not a big issue, they works very well anyway, better than Roomba’s single one, and they’re very cheap to replace – literally less than 2 for a two brushes set on AliExpress, shipping included)
– the glossy rim around the clean button is made out of plastic (unlike the main material of the top, which I believe is glass, as it’s perfectly smooth with no marks whatsoever), and after two weeks it’s all scratched (but that’s also because it can clean in places that are too low for other vacuums, so kudos for that)
I might update the review in case I realise I forgot to mention something or should something change.
If you’ve got any questions, feel free to comment here below! 🙂
(I know comments are only available if you’re on Amazon desktop site, not on mobile unfortunately)
Anyway, very very satisfied with the BG600, at 200 I think it’s overall the best vacuum cleaner.

Anyway, very very satisfied with the BG600, at 200 I think it’s overall the best vacuum cleaner.
This product is very good, very excited when I received it. Its packaging is very professional and safe. The delivery attitude is very good. Its appearance looks very upscale. If you have it, it can save you a lot of time to do other things. If you are not using this product for the first time, don’t be careful, it is safe and the instruction manual it carries is very helpful to you. First you must read it first. And the store’s after-sales service is very good, as long as your product has any problems, they will answer your questions very carefully. That’s why I give it five stars
Because the son is allergic to dust. So I bought this robot duster to clean it every day. The first thing every day is to turn on the switch or set the time to let the robot automatically sweep the ground. It is really convenient. If it is not powered, it will automatically return to the charging station to charge. Amazing
My daily life. Every night children go to sleep, I have to start tidy up toys and clean the carpet. Now clean carpet is robot’s job.Since it has it, it has saved me a lot of time. robot has low noise So it won’t wake the child up, it is amazing, it actually has 6 modes. Of course I use the maximum power mode every time. It has synthetic intake, don’t worry about it crash at All. It is very thin, clean under bed under sofa under cabinet … all no problem. The children like it. It can be a toy and a cleaning robot.Don’t worry it won’t hurt the child, and child also It can’t be broken the robot. I’m very confident about its quality.
Cleans under the sofas brilliantly and much quicker than reaching under with a stand up hoover. Charges quickly with a discreet charging station. It was great for cleaning up after a party, so when we got up, the floor was done. It was just everything else that needed to be done. I would be lost without it now. Very pleased !
This robotic vacuum cleaner is really good. suction is really strong, battery is durable. It’s quiet, you can set its time and everyday when it is time, it will do its job. When it is full of rubbish it is easy to clean, when it needs charging it will automatically go to the charger it’s self. Very worth having and I will show it to my friends!
