Mini-Dock für kleine Notebooks
Der Belkin USB-C-Hub (in der “11-in-1-MultiPort-Adapter-Dock”-Ausfhrung) ist ein durchaus ntzliches Gert fr bestimmte Notebooks. Die Vorteile liegen auf der Hand: Die Docking-Station wird verkabelt (Maus, Tastatur, Bildschirm(e), Netzwerk, externer Datentrger) und liegt betriebsbereit auf dem Schreibtisch. Wenn das Notebook gebraucht wird, wird die Docking-Station per USB-C angeschlossen und alles luft. Kein Kabelsalat am Notebook selbst, ein deutlicher Gewinn an Komfort und Ordnung. So die Theorie.
Die Ausstattung des 11-in-1-Gerts ist in meinen Augen durchaus gut und sinnvoll. 3 USB-Ports, davon einer jedoch “nur” USB 2.0 und zwei mal 3.0. Das ist deswegen sinnvoll, weil, wenn ich eine Tastatur anschliee, bentige ich einfach kein USB 3. Ein Gigabit-LAN-Port, der (bei mir) einwandfrei und zuverlssig funktioniert. Drei Mglichkeiten, einen Bildschirm anzuschlieen: Display-Port, HDMI und (hurra!) ein 13-Poliger VGA-Anschluss (mein “Heimbro-Bildschirm” hat nmlich “nur” VGA und DVI… und ja, er ist schon lter… Der Anschluss hier funktioniert aber hervorragend!). Was will man mehr? Ach ja, da war ja noch was: Kartenleser fr SD / micro-SD-Karten (SD funktioniert gut, micro-SD (noch) nicht ausprobiert) sowie ein 3,5mm Audio-Ein- und Ausgang. Alles, was ich brauche, wenngleich es noch einer oder zwei USB-Ports mehr htten sein drfen. Bisher luft die Docking-Station jedenfalls gut, Strungen oder z.B. zu groe Hitzeentwicklung konnte ich bisher noch nicht feststellen.
In der Praxis habe ich nun diesen Dock einige Wochen testen knnen, mit einem HP Omen 17-Notebook. Das ist -glaube ich- nicht ganz die Konfiguration, die sich der Hersteller fr diese Docking-Station so vorgestellt hat. In der Produktbeschreibung geht es eher um Mck-Bucks oder halt Notebooks fr den eher mobilen Einsatz (mit sehr wenigen Ports und Bildschirmdiagonalen so zwischen 11 und 13 Zoll…). Nutzt man das Gert mit einem 17-Zoll-Notebook, dann reicht die Breite nicht, um unter dem gesamten Notebook unterzuliegen (das Notebook hat keinen stabilen Stand mehr!) – oder das USB-Kabel ist schlicht zu kurz. Ich tendiere hier eher zur zweiten Antwort. Schlimm ist’s, wenn das Notebook auf einem Notebook-Stnder stehen soll, dann ist das Kabel USB-C-Kabel (bei mir) definitiv zu kurz, weil die Docking-Station nicht mit auf den Notebook-Stnder passt (da gibt es ja die unterschiedlichsten Modelle…).
Ein zweites “Problem” ist, dass die Docking-Station halt nur mit einem USB-C-Kabel angestpselt ist. Das ist dann sinnvoll, wenn das Notebook einen sicheren Stand hat und/oder man eine extern angeschlossene Tastatur nutzt und nicht bermig am Gert herumfuchtelt. Der USB-C-Stecker sitzt leider nicht so bermig fest, wie z.B. ein USB-A-Stecker, aber das liegt eher in der Natur der Sache und deswegen werte ich hier auch dafr nicht ab, aber erwhnen wollte ich es schon. (Habe das Problem bei der Arbeit und einem Lenovo-Notebook, das ber USB-C mit Strom, Netzwerk, Bildschirm, etc. pp. verbunden ist – hier ist die Steckverbindung zum Notebook ber USB-C die Achillesferse der ganzen Konstruktion…)
Fazit: Eine durchaus gute Docking-Station, sofern das Umfeld passt: Ist das Notebook nicht zu gro? (Fr 17-Zller m.E. eher weniger geeignet!) Steht das Notebook auf einem Notebook-Stnder, und passt die Docking-Station auch noch mit da drauf? Technisch jedenfalls funktioniert dieses Belkin (11-in-1)-Gert bei mir einwandfrei. Grter Kritikpunkt ist das meines Erachtens viel zu kurze USB-Kabel, ansonsten kann man es durchaus empfehlen. Insgesamt zwar knappe aber dann doch vier Sterne von mir.

Seul bmol est le cable que je trouve trop court, surtout quand je branche beaucoup de priphriques au docks et que je veux l’loigner un peu du laptop et du second cran pour ne pas avoir beaucoup de cables cot.
En tout cas c’est un bon produit, je recommande.

Meinen Home-Office Arbeitsplatz habe ich inzwischen sehr komfortabel und ergonomisch gestaltet. Dazu gehrte auch, dass ich das von meinem Arbeitgeber fr das HP Elitebook gelieferte Minidock recht frh gegen ein Belkin Express Dock HD getauscht habe. Das hat den Vorteil, einerseits ber noch mehr Anschlsse zu verfgen, andererseits geht von dort nur ein USB-Kabel zum Notebook. Beim Minidock musste man das Netzteil separat anschlieen. Das Belkin Dock hatte ich unter dem Tisch platziert, damit man die vielen Kabel nicht sieht. Das wiederum hatte den Nachteil, dass man nicht so bequem an die Anschlsse kam.
Das 11-in-1-MultiPort-Adapter-Dock hat sogar noch mehr Anschlsse, wobei ich meine, dass man auf den antiquierten VGA-Anschluss noch gerne htte verzichten knnen. Das Dock ist so flach, dass man das Notebook drauf stellen kann. Jetzt sieht man auf dem Schreibtisch zwar ein paar Kabel mehr, aber auch nur, wenn das Notebook zugeklappt ist. Auerdem steht das Dock am Rande des Schreibtisches; die Kabel verschwinden praktisch nach ein paar Zentimetern unter dem Tisch.
Das 11-in-1-Dock ist zwar preiswerter als das Express Dock HD, es ist aber kein Netzteil im Preis enthalten. Ich habe fr wenig Geld dieses hier gekauft: Bromae 65W USB-C Netzteil
Hlt man das Belkin Dock das erste Mal in den Hnden, glaubt man seinen Augen kaum. Das USB-C-Kabel zum Anschluss an das Notebook ist nur knapp 20 cm lang und fest auf der linken Seite angeschlagen! Mindestens die Hlfte aller Notebook-Besitzer schauen damit in die Rhre. Bei meinem Elitebook und bei meinem privaten Surface Pro 7 ist die USB-C-Buchse jeweils auf der rechten Gehuseseite. Bis da hin reicht das Kabel aber nicht. Diesen Unsinn hat wohl auch Belkin erkannt und gibt in der Anleitung kleinlaut den Hinweis, dass man das Dock dann dennoch nutzen knne, wenn man es um 180 dreht, also mit der Unterseite nach oben. Das sieht genau solange nicht beknackt aus, wie das Notebook drauf liegt und das Dock somit verdeckt. Und htte mein privates Notebook den Anschluss links, msste ich das Dock stndig drehen, was wegen der vielen Anschlsse auch nicht so ohne Weiteres geht. Ich habe mir hiermit geholfen: Belkertech USB-C Verlngerung . Achtung: Die USB-C-Buchse des Kabels funktioniert nur in einer Ausrichtung!
Hat man erst mal alles dazu gekauft, was hier fehlt, und alles korrekt verkabelt, hat man ein super designtes Dock mit solidem Metallgehuse. Alle Anschlsse funktionieren einwandfrei! Das Dock ist fr den Dauerbetrieb geeignet. Es erwrmt sich im Betrieb, wird aber nicht bermig hei. Ich bin sehr zufrieden, wrde Belkin aber dringend raten, entweder das kurze Kabel abnehmbar und gleichermaen rechts wie links anschliebar zu machen oder ein Verlngerungskabel, wie ich es mir besorgt habe, gleich bei zu legen.

Dal punto di vista funzionale non manca nulla o quasi, sono presenti porte e connessioni di ogni genere, inserite in una struttura di alluminio pronta a svolgere la funzione di rialzo per il proprio notebook, in modo da favorire la circolazione dell’aria espulsa dalle ventole nel fondo del computer e allo stesso tempo ottenere una posizione di scrittura sulla tastiera pi comoda.
Non ho mai avuto problemi durante l’utilizzo con nessuna delle connessioni messe a disposizione, il prodotto si riscalda leggermente durante l’utilizzo ma nulla di eccessivo.
Il costo del prodotto non irrisorio, ma per le connessioni messe a disposizione e la qualit generale del prodotto non lo ritengo eccessivo.

First off the design is simple, effective and practical – having this as a slice that raises the laptop is a great idea though it would be even better of the device itself didn’t get as warm as it does – it kind of removes the advantage of adding an air gap under the laptop. However, so far it hasn’t made things worse, just not really made them better. My laptop is on a stand anyway so the typing advantage is not relevant but if you used this face-to-face then you would possibly really like it.
So – 11 ports! That sounds like a lot! It *IS* a lot! but since one of them is micro-SD and one is DisplayPort, one is USB-C in (and there’s only that one USB-C port) and one is VGA (I mean who still uses *that*?) then you can see that actually this is basically a 7-in-1 hub at best for most people. 8-in-1 if you care about the micro-SD card slot… 😐
But, since it has HDMI (and for my single 32″ 4K monitor it works perfectly, as I expected) and USB-A type 3 x 2 and USB-A type 2 x 1 plus an audio out and gigabit ethernet then is that really ok?
Let’s start with gigabit ethernet, since that is fundamental to the reason I bought this. Let’s face it – wired ethernet is still superior to wireless if you can get it. But so many USB-hubs with ethernet will (trust me, they really will) just fail to initialise when the laptop wakes up. I have drawer full of them – good names too, including Anker. All pants at waking up after a snooze (I sympathise but they do only have this one job). Belkin, OTOH, make the official Apple adapter and they really will wake up when the computer does – especially on Mac – and that matters a lot to me. Performance of the network is solid gigabit ethernet, no issues at all.
USB-A (type 2 or 3) works as you’d expect. I have a much longer 7-port USB hub plugged into one USB3 port and a backup disc plugged into the other and both are flawless. USB-2 is for the odd time I need a wireless mouse or odd random accessory. So far so good.
HDMI is as described on the product page – I am TOLD it doesn’t support dual monitors on Mac with extended desktop using HDMI and DisplayPort but I can’t comment because I haven’t tried. A single massive 4k monitor is more than enough and works perfectly.
VGA? *shrug* never used it, likely never will.
SD card slots both work well though I think they are “upside down” – YMMV but it’s a small thing to me.
Audio socket. Hmm, now you’re asking. It doesn’t show up as an audio output source on Mac volume control, doesn’t “just work” by taking internal audio if you plug in headphones. Not really sure how it’s supposed to work, actually. In the system report it shows as Unknown USB Audio Device / Unknown manufacturer and that’s it. 🙁 Looks like that needs some more work.
(Yes, the MacBook Pro does have an audio socket anyway (and that supports digital connections if you have the right sort of amp) but if you use it with analogue connections it hums significantly when plugged into my amplifier on the same mains ring (so it’s not an earth loop ok). I was hoping this device would sidestep the issue and allow me to escape the lag on bluetooth but sadly that is not the case.)
So, overall, this is probably more like a 6-in-1 adapter but those 6 (or 7) ports work flawlessly and are all I really wanted anyway. If you wanted USB-C out, audio out and multi-monitor support then try it on Windows or find a different product. For now, this is staying on my desktop setup – the single cable connect is great and it does what I need it to.
L’ Hub di Belkin uno strumento utile soprattutto per chi lavora al Pc e necessita di doppio monitor o adotta soluzioni multi-monitor (monitor affiancati per crearne virtualmente uno solo ma di dimensioni doppie). L’Hub funziona bene, l’ho testato con due monitor FHD@60Hz e non ho mai riscontrato anomalie visive, o tearing di alcun tipo. Nei test ho provveduto anche ad occupare tutte e 11 le porte per vedere come si comportasse anche a livello di temperature e non ho riscontrato aumenti considerevoli.
Ottimo il supporto al 4K, anche se avrei preferito fosse a 60 Hz e non a 30 Hz, anche solo per utilizzi di photo editing e video editing, i 30 frame risultano un p limitanti.
Ovviamente non lo considero per soluzioni gaming (anche se il FHD a 60 Hz dubito che nel 2021 chi gioca “ancora” in FHD si accontenti dei soli 60 FPS su soluzione anche multi-screen).
Per quanto mi riguarda non ho avuto modo di testare la porta VGA, ma la trovo un’aggiunta considerevole in quanto rende l’ HUB fruibile a tutti quegli utenti che hanno (per loro fortuna) ancora in attivit i loro datati portatili.

Simple hub covers the basics, but at a high price
Quick, simple review for a quick, simple hub. My experiences with it have been positive – I use it with my work Macbook Pro – a brand-new 16″ i7 so not exactly light on power requirements – and with the official Apple charger.
It works. Everything I’ve connected works, the card reader is good, nothing has failed or dropped out yet. Disc speed for my external SSD is slightly reduced but still faster than I’m used to from my last machine, and the only downsides are no USB-C passthrough (work uses USB-C to displayport on some monitors) and the hub gets warm passing power to the Mac.
Main downside is price. Despite Belkin’s name and reputation we get issued with cheaper generic hubs/card readers – and they work just as well in my experience.
I’ve also used this as a card reader for my 2021 iPad Pro – works fine. Overkill for that!
But this is nicely finished and support is from an established firm. So, loses a star for value (it’s not that much more than competing hubs), but it does what it says, and in my experience does it reliably and without fuss.

CONFEZIONE: Il dispositivo viene consegnato in una scatola di cartone molto curata, con logo Belkin ed esternamente l’immagine del prodotto e le principali caratteristiche tecniche.
All’interno l’adattatore multiporta 11 in 1, un piccolo depliant di istruzioni e la garanzia.
COME E’ FATTO: L’adattatore in metallo (lunghezza cm. 26, larghezza cm. 9, spessore da cm. 0,5 min a cm. 1,5 max) grigio satinato con il marchio Belkin in evidenza sulla parte superiore. Alla base due inserti gommosi antiscivolo a tutta larghezza e sulla parte superiore un inserto, anch’esso gommoso a tutta lunghezza, per appoggiarvi sopra il laptop. L’inclinazione del dispositivo multiporta, facilit anche il corretto posizionamento del laptop/notebook e, al contempo, permette di sfruttare al meglio il dispositivo senza occupare spazio.
L’adattatore, nella parte sinistra, ha un cavo di ingresso lungo complessivamente cm. 19 che termina con un connettore USB/type C (anch’esso logato Belkin). Sotto la base sono serigrafati i vari marchi di garanzia e il marchio CE. Nella zona a maggior spessore, sono alloggiati i seguenti ingressi:
* ingresso/uscita audio per jack da 3,5 mm.;
* porta VGA;
* lettore schede SD 3.0;
* lettore schede micro SD 3.0;
* porta gigabit ethernet;
* due porte USB-A 3.0;
* una porta USB-A 2.0;
* display port 1.2 4K;
* HDMI 1.4 4K;
* porta USB-C PD (power delivery) 3.0 da 100 Watt (al lordo del 15 watt che servono per l’adattatore).
A COSA SERVE: Questo adattatore serve per connettersi, tramite il proprio cavo con connettore USB-C 3.0, alla porta USB-C 3.0 del nostro notebook per sfruttare tutti gli ingressi di cui dispone e aggiuntivi a quelli del nostro notebook. Tramite la porta VGA(Video Graphics Array), ad esempio, si possono utilizzati connettere vecchi monitor video dotati di tale standard, peraltro ormai obsoleto. Inoltre si possono sfruttare al meglio sia la porta HDMI 1.4 4K per connettere una TV o un monitor aggiuntivo, cos come l’ingresso display port, standard nato per sostituire sia VGA, sia DVI. L’abbondanza di porte USB-A 3.0 e USB-A 2.0 (tre in totale) permette di utilizzare i nostri dispositivi al meglio.
Molto interessante la porta gigabit ethernet che pu essere proficuamente utilizzata anche su notebook che non hanno la porta ethernet. Infatti con la porta gigabit ethernet potremo sfruttare la maggior velocit e la minor latenza della rete cablata, in sostituzione della connessione wireless pi lenta e certamente meno stabile, senza ulteriori dispositivi, ma solo utilizzando la velocit della porta USB-C del nostro notebook collegato all’adattatore. In tal modo potremo utilizzare al meglio tale opportunit per il gaming, lo streaming o le videochiamate. Inoltre i due lettori SD e micro SD assicurano letture velocissime dei supporti nei due formati. L’ingresso USB-C 3.0 PD permette l’alimentazione passante fino a 85 W (decurtando i 15W necessari all’adattatore) con ci eliminando la necessit di dover scegliere tra le porte di espansione e quelle di alimentazione. Inoltre lo standard Power Delivery (PD) individua le esigenze di potenza del dispositivo e regola il flusso di energia in base a tali esigenze.
COSA NE PENSO: Questo adattatore di Belkin, azienda leader di settore, qualitativamente inappuntabile molto solido, completo con i molteplici ingressi di cui dotato e tecnologicamente avanzato.
Inoltre posizionato sotto il notebook permette di non occupare spazio dando peraltro la giusta inclinazione ergonomica per lavorare al meglio.

Perfetto per Mac Book
Si adatta perfettamente al mio Mac Book Pro M1 espandendo in modo soddisfacente le due sole porte a disposizione.
Va molto bene, ma prezzo un po’ proibitivo
Nulla da dire in termini di qualit e funzionalit di questo adattatore multipresa; va davvero benone ed avendo un’unica presa di tipo C, lo si pu definire universale.
L’ho provato infatti in abbinata a tutti i computer che ho in casa e devo dire che per il momento non ho avuto alcun problema di compatibilit.
Rispetto ad un classico HUB (o doungle) trovo questa multipresa sicuramente molto pi elegante e pulita; diciamo che sulla scrivania fa sicuramente molta pi bella figura rispetto ah un hub normale.
Le prese a disposizione sono molte e di fatto tutte quelle che si hanno bisogno. Non ho sentito la mancanza di nulla e nell’utilizzo quotidiano questo fa davvero la differenza. Nel dettaglio troviamo:
– Ingresso e uscita audio per le cuffie
– Uscita VGA
– Lettore di schede micro sd e sd
– Presa ethernet

Prodotto davvero bello realizzato bene, se non fosse per il logo del produttore si scambierebbe per un prodotto della mela morsicata. Finitura in alluminio bellissima. un prodotto completo, dotato di tutte le porte di cui puoi aver bisogno, ideale per i Mac che hanno completamente eliminato le vecchie porte USB corredando i suoi ultimi laptop solo con porte USB-C. Grazie a questo HUB puoi avere tutto pi in ordine, funziona anche da rialzo per il laptop per permettergli una migliore areazione.
Qualit ottima potrebbe essere l’hub definitivo dei possessori di Mac Book ma purtroppo non cos, infatti unica nota dolente, non compatibile con Mac Book M1 quindi presumo non sar compatibile con il Mac book 2021 che uscir a Settembre e dato che prevedo di cambiare il mio vecchi Mac mi trover un hub inutile.

Ottimo, ma cavo usb-c per collegarlo al Pc/Mac veramente corto
Hub multiporta veramente ben realizzato, dalla qualit costruttiva tipica di un brand come belkin. Di questa tipologia di prodotti sul martketplace di Amazon se ne trovano tantissimi, sopratutto di brand poco noti venduti a prezzi decisamente bassi ma con una qualit costruttiva veramente discutibile, con gli ingressi (soprattutto quelli video) che a volte non funzionano come dovrebbero, offrendo una scarsa qualit video.
Ho avuto modo di testare l’hub top di gamma della belkin, con 11 porte di ingresso. Il dispositivo si collega alla porta usb-c del proprio computer: una tipologia di ingresso ormai diffusa su tutti i notebook, pc desktop e Mac. Si alimenta direttamente tramite la porta usb-c potendo sfruttare fino a 100 watt di potenza!
L’hub 11 in 1 offre i seguenti ingressi:
– jack da 3,5 mm per cuffie e microfono
– VGA
– SD
– Micro SD
– ETHERNET fino a 5gbps
– 2 x USB 3.0
– 1 USB 2.0

Essendo hdmi 1.4 non possibile sfruttare oltre i 120hz. Ma a ci viene in aiuto l’ingresso DP.
I materiali di cui si compone l’hub sono ottimo, parliamo infatti di alluminio satinato. Al tatto sembra tutto ben assemblato. Il dispositivo non ha bisogno di essere collegato all’alimentazione per funzionare, ma come gi specificato basta collegarlo alla porta usb-c del proprio pc/Mac.
L’unico aspetto scomodo, direi veramente scomodo, la linghezza del cavo usb-c che non supera i 10 cm. Peccato!

Ottimo, gestisce due monitor in maniera stabile, ma...
Funziona molto bene, lo ho provato per alcuni giorni con il mio notebook HP Zbook 15 G5 e doppio monitor esterno 1080p (full hd). molto stabile anche usando una prolunga usbc da 50cm, necessaria perch il suo cavo usbc molto corto. Ho verificato un unico difetto: ha due uscite digitali, hdmi e Display Port, e poi una uscita VGA analogica, io ho due monitor hdmi/vga. L’uscita Display Port non riconosce il monitor connesso con un adattatore Display Port -> hdmi, sono costretto ad usare hdmi per il primo e vga per il secondo e un po’ si vede. Ho verificato che la porta Display Port funziona con un monitor che ha questa interfaccia nativa, anche se era di risoluzione inferiore, non so se la causa sia quella. In conclusione un ottimo prodotto, ma non riesco ad usare le due porte digitali per i display full-hd come mi aspettavo. per questo una stella in meno.
Elegante y perfecto funcionamiento para mi MacBook
Completsima y elegante Base Dock con 11 puertos de conexin, perfecta para MacBook. No solo por su esttica y diseo, sino porque parece un producto Mac y su diseo con agarres y elevacin del porttil lo hacen perfecto para tenerlo en la mesa de casa, en el punto en el que ponemos nuestro mac.
No me parece dado sus dimensiones para llevarlo en la mochila del porttil, pero si para estar en casa en la mesa. Aun as tampoco pesa demasiado si hay que llevarlo.
Respecto a su conectividad es de lo mas completa, empezando por dos puertos USB A 3.0 que vienen en color interior azul para diferenciarlos del puerto USB A 2.0 que tambin incluye.
Tenemos un conector RJ45 (para cable de red Ethernet) de hasta 1Gbps. Una de las mejores velocidades.
Para la pantalla adicional, tenemos conector VGA (para mi me sobra) , un conector display port 1.2 que nos permite emitir en 4k y un HDMI 1.4 que tambin permite 4k. Ambos conectores trasmiten video y sonido.
Incluye tambin lector de tarjetas SD y MicroSd 3.0. Por ltimo incluye un conector Jack de 3,5 mm de entrada y salida
Para la carga incluye un puerto usbc passthrough el cual permite cargar el porttil a la vez que dar energa a la circuitera del dock. Se recomienda utilizar un cargador no incluido de mas de 65W ya que 50W de potencia pasaran a nuestro porttil, dejando unos 15 Watios para el Dock.
En general una base perfecta, con muy buena calidad, y que funciona sin ninguna clase de problema, todo ello con la calidad de Belkin, perfecta para la calidad de nuestro Mac.

Completsima y elegante Base Dock con 11 puertos de conexin, perfecta para MacBook. No solo por su esttica y diseo, sino porque parece un producto Mac y su diseo con agarres y elevacin del porttil lo hacen perfecto para tenerlo en la mesa de casa, en el punto en el que ponemos nuestro mac.
No me parece dado sus dimensiones para llevarlo en la mochila del porttil, pero si para estar en casa en la mesa. Aun as tampoco pesa demasiado si hay que llevarlo.

Para la pantalla adicional, tenemos conector VGA (para mi me sobra) , un conector display port 1.2 que nos permite emitir en 4k y un HDMI 1.4 que tambin permite 4k. Ambos conectores trasmiten video y sonido.
Incluye tambin lector de tarjetas SD y MicroSd 3.0. Por ltimo incluye un conector Jack de 3,5 mm de entrada y salida
Para la carga incluye un puerto usbc passthrough el cual permite cargar el porttil a la vez que dar energa a la circuitera del dock. Se recomienda utilizar un cargador no incluido de mas de 65W ya que 50W de potencia pasaran a nuestro porttil, dejando unos 15 Watios para el Dock.
En general una base perfecta, con muy buena calidad, y que funciona sin ninguna clase de problema, todo ello con la calidad de Belkin, perfecta para la calidad de nuestro Mac.
Indispensabile anche se molto cara

Costoso ma valido
Partiamo dalla prima cosa che si nota: il prezzo. Al momento della recensione questo hub costa 130 euro, un prezzo per nulla contenuto. Tuttavia ritengo che ne valga la spesa.
L’hub di alta qualit e completamente in metallo, questo permette di dissipare correttamente il calore che genera. Esso infatti rimane normalmente solamente tiepido e si scalda solamente quando si ricarica il computer. Questo importante perch stando sotto al computer come rialzo (cosa molto comoda sia per occupare meno posto nella scrivania sia per rendere pi comodo il computer quando si scrive) importante che non scaldi lui stesso il computer.
Questo hub permette di espandere una porta Tipe C con 11 prese, tra cui 3 usb, una Ethernet, HDMI, DisplayPort e un’altra type C che abilitata alla ricarica. Questo permette di ricaricare il computer tramite la porta type C anche mentre in utilizzo (chiaramente solo se il computer supporta questo tipo di ricarica). A differenza di tutti gli altri hub che ho provato, quando si collega l’alimentatore all’hub questo non disattiva momentaneamente tutte le altre prese. Pu sembrare cosa da poco ma se in quel momento state utilizzando un dispositivo esterno o trasferendo dati su un Hard Disk perderete la connessione rischiando di perdere file.
L’unico aspetto negativo che ho trovato, motivo per il quale non ho dato 5 stelle, che consuma sempre un minimo di batteria. Ho notato che da quando lo utilizzo la batteria del computer si scarica un po’ pi velocemente del solito. L’ho notato perch lasciandolo una notte collegato in sospensione la batteria era calata di un 10% pi del normale e per me questo pu essere un limite se non si tiene il portatile collegato alla corrente quando si usa questo supporto.
Per concludere se siete alla ricerca di un hub USB-C e siete abituati a tenere il computer collegato alla corrente questo veramente consigliato. Se invece non siete abituati a tenere il computer in carica potreste notare un maggiore consumo di batteria (che comunque non esagerato), ma bastano pochi minuti di ricarica per recuperare la batteria persa.
Buen dock, pero se nota que pagas la marca
En mi caso lo he probado con un Asus con Thunderbolt para poder aprovechar el mximo del dock y me ha resultado muy cmodo sobre todo como centro al llegar a casa, para poder conectar todo solo con un cable.
El dock es bastante grande y est hecho por completo de metal, con bandas de goma tanto en la parte inferior como superior. Tiene forma de cua para poder poner el porttil de forma cmoda encima.
Su uso es muy sencillo, lo conectas al puerto y listo para funcionar, en mi caso lo uso para conectar un monitor, cable de red, teclado y ratn nada ms llegar a casa, al tener soporte adems podemos usar el porttil como segundo monitor.
El funcionamiento es simplemente el esperado, siempre que tu porttil y la salida sea compatible con todas las funciones, hay que comprobarlo antes en la web del fabricante. El precio es muy alto, pero es lo que pasa siempre con belkin, productos de buena calidad a un precio elevado.

Una barbaridad de Dock
Me ha encantado este dock de Belkin. Nunca haba visto que desde un mismo ordenador usando un Dock se pudiese compartir la imgen en otros monitores. Haba visto, que por ejemplo mi Oneplus 9 Pro saca vdeo a travs de su USB-C, pero no me imaginaba que esto tambin pudiese ser desde un ordenador hacia diferentes monitores. Increble.
Adems de esto, es un dock con el cual, con una sola conexin USB-C, puedes sacar multitud de ellas, en esta ocasin, 11 diferentes, contando con bastantes puertos USB, un USB-C que adems carga a 100W, una autntica burrada, puerto ethernet, SD y micro SD, VGA, Jack de 3,5mm y HDMI. Todo en un mismo dock.
He usado absolutamente todas las conexiones, para probar cual es el rendimiento, excepto la de VGA, y funciona a la perfeccin an con todas sus conexiones en uso.
Es un autntica pasada. Muy recomendable.
Una barbaridad de Dock

In my experience, you get what you pay for and Belkin, although consistently more expensive that some of the cheap generic copies always seems to come up trumps.
I got the 4 in 1 multi port adapter predominantly to be able to connect my iPad Pro to the TV when on holiday to watch Netflix and Prime Video movies. I did get a cheaper one a few months ago but it would not fit into the USB-C post of the iPad with the case on which was a complete waste of time as we never take the iPad out of the Logitech Keyboard case.
The Belkin 4 in 1 comes well presented in a branded cardboard box. The USB-C short lead neatly clips into the iPad with the case on – not even tight – and on connecting an HDMI cable to the Belkin and the other end to the TV, it instantly mirrors the iPad screen on the TV. It DOES allow you to play Netflix and Prime through it (some early models were blocked by the streaming services) and gives proper HD quality on a big screen.
It’s completely 100% fit for the purpose for which it was intended.
The USB-C port allow pass through charging so you’ll never run out of battery again.
We’re in Devon at the moment in a cottage and we watched a family movie last night. No more Firesticks for me. No more connecting my laptop. The Belkin is the solution we have been looking for.
It is expensive – around 50 on Amazon but I think it’s well worth investing in quality peripherals for the iPad which cost an arm and a leg.

Es el adaptador de mejor calidad y diseo que he probado hasta ahora, y tengo algunos bastante ms caros.
Antes de nada, hay que tener en cuenta es que el porttil tiene que ser compatible con las salidas de video a travs del puerto USB-C (Modo Alt) para poder usar los puertos DisplayPort, HDMI y VGA.
Ya nada ms cogerlo se nota que es un producto de muy buena calidad, los acabados son perfectos y el cuerpo es entero de aluminio. La longitud del cable para mi porttil ha sido perfecta, puede que a alguien se le quede corto dependiendo de dnde tenga el puerto USB-C. El cable entero, con conector incluido, mide 19.5cm.
En cuanto a funcionalidad no he tenido el ms mnimo problema, todos los puertos funcionan como deben. Algunos los he probado ms que otros porque son los que uso siempre, en concreto, los puertos USB-A 3.0 y el 2.0, Ethernet, salida DisplayPort, auriculares, el puerto de carga USB-C y el lector de tarjetas. Los puertos VGA y HDMI funcionan sin problemas, aunque slo lo prob para comprobar si funcionan.
Lo que ms me ha gustado es la posibilidad de usarlo de base porque, adems, la altura a la que queda el porttil me ha parecido perfecta. Lo bueno es que, al levantarlo un poco de la mesa, tambin se consigue una buena refrigeracin del porttil. Es muy estable y antideslizante, es cmodo de usar. Mi porttil es de 15.6″
El lector de tarjetas, aunque funciona perfectamente, podran haberlo hecho de los que se insertan y sacan haciendo un clic, estos son de los que se insertan y extraen de manera manual (empujando para insertar y tirando para extraer).
Lo bueno de este tipo de adaptadores es que enchufas todo en l y cuando te quieres llevar el porttil slo tienes que desconectar un cable, el del USB-C del propio adaptador. Ocurre igual cuando lo vuelves a dejar en la mesa, basta con conectar un cable.
En definitiva, con un solo adaptador se consiguen todas las conexiones ms importantes y, adems, sirve para elevar y refrigerar el porttil. El mejor que he probado.

Con los porttiles de hoy en da, que cada vez son ms finos, y tienen menos puertos para los perifricos, en ocasiones, te ves obligado a comprar dispositivos como estos, para ampliar la conectividad del porttil. De este modelo, lo que ms me ha llamado la atencin es lo siguiente:
–Construccin slida. Me gusta el diseo. Al generar un plano inclinado sobre el que apoyar el porttil, me facilita la escritura en el mismo, y quedan todos los puertos ordenados en la parte posterior del porttil. Otros modelos quedan a un lado, y all todos los cables, que segn seas zurdo o diestro te pueden molestar. En la parte superior del dispositivo tenemos una franja de goma, para evitar el deslizamiento del porttil.
–Mltiples puertos: Jack, VGA, SD, microSD, RJ45, USB-A 3.0 y 2.0, DP, HDMI, USBC PD, por lo que puedes seguir usando el porttil mientras lo cargas.
Hay otra cosa importante, que debes tener en cuenta. El cable de conexin USB-C. Tiene dos peros. Uno, es muy corto, unos 12 cm, y el otro, es que va a quedar el lado izquierdo de tu porttil. As que antes de comprarlo, comprueba que tienes un puerto USB C, en el lado izquierdo del porttil, y que con un cable de 12 cm va a quedar bien. En el caso de que el conector en tu porttil, est por ejemplo en el lado derecho, no quedara bien. Es el nico aspecto, que creo que puede estropear la experiencia con este dispositivo.
Máxima calidad y comodidad. Todas las conexiones en tu Mac.
Cada vez ms nos estamos quedando sin conexiones en los porttiles y ms an si hablamos de la familia de los Mac. Con esta base doc de Belkin solucionamos el problema de una ya que pasamos de tener solo conexin USB-C (4 en el mejor de los casos en el MacBook Pro de mayor gama) a 11 conexiones de todo tipo.
Est fabricado en aluminio del mismo color que el Macbook Space grey as que si tienes ese color de Mac no te va a desentonar nada de nada.
Se conecta con un pequeo cable de plstico duro pero flexible y resistente pero con USB-C metlico. Tanto la parte superior como la inferior tiene unos soportes de silicona antideslizantes para que no se resbale el porttil. Eso s, no olvides de quitar el protector de plstico para que haga bien esa funcin.
Al colocar encima el porttil, se crea un inclinacin que para escribir resulta muy cmoda para las manos y adems se produce un espacio para que haya ventilacin y evitar el calentamiento del dispositivo.

En resumen, un producto de muy buena calidad, altas prestaciones y perfecto para ampliar la conectividad de tu Mac, sobre todo si tienes la versin con dos USB-C. Sobretodo resulta muy cmo de colocar y usar ya que est debajo del dispositivo y ni te enteras de que lo tienes. Totalmente recomendable.

Est base multipuerto de la marca belkin destaca por la calidad de sus materiales y de su funcionamiento.
En mi porttil tengo bastante falta de puertos y con este hub 11 en 1 y solucionado todos los problemas gracias a tener un puerto USB C. Los puertos de los que dispone son:
-entrada o salida de audio de 3,5 mm
-puerto VGA
-lector de tarjetas SD 3.0 y lector de tarjetas micro SD 3.0
-puerto gigabit Ethernet
-dos puertos USB tipo a 2.0

La verdad es que ms completo no puede venir y la transmisin de datos es increblemente rpidas.
En general el funcionamiento ha sido correcto en todos los sentidos pero me ha sorprendido el puerto gigabit Ethernet ya que las verdades de transmisin de datos han sido muy buenas y los puertos tanto HDMI como DisplayPort por su calidad de vdeo al llegar a resoluciones de hasta 4K a 30 fps. (Lgicamente necesitamos un ordenador que se engancha capaz de reproducir estas resoluciones para que el hub lo admita)
Haba probado otro tipo de hubs anteriormente pero de marcas poco fiables y el puerto VGA era de los que siempre me fallaba en cambio en cuanto he utilizado una marca de calidad como es en este caso el cambio ha sido increble.
Tambin me ha gustado el diseo en cuanto a morfologa ya que lo puedo poner de base y en el puedo apoyar el porttil levantando unos centmetros y ayudando a la ventilacin por debajo. Adems de eso tiene una tira gomosa antideslizamiento la cual facilita muchsimo la ergonoma.
Un artculo el saca la versatilidad la calidad del material y la calidad de sus componentes por lo que es totalmente recomendable.
Calidad

Tambin me ha gustado el diseo en cuanto a morfologa ya que lo puedo poner de base y en el puedo apoyar el porttil levantando unos centmetros y ayudando a la ventilacin por debajo. Adems de eso tiene una tira gomosa antideslizamiento la cual facilita muchsimo la ergonoma.
Un artculo el saca la versatilidad la calidad del material y la calidad de sus componentes por lo que es totalmente recomendable.

La forma leggermente inclinata quindi oltre ad espandere le porte diventa un supporto che inclina leggermente il computer e quindi permette di avere una postura migliore delle mani.
Il collegamento avviene tramite cavetto porta USB-C integrato all’interno dell’HUB; il cavo corto e non risulta un impiccio sulla scrivania anche se io onestamente l’avrei preferito leggermente pi lungo, ma ovviamente dipende da dove posizionata la porta usb c sul computer che usate. Tried to find right dock for my macbook air to expend ports what I need and for secondary monitor.
This unit is just perfect, plug and start play, very well made and stable to use.
Other dock from Belkin had some issues but this one would be the right one what you need

I have always rated Belkin as providing quality computer accessories. This hub costs about 4 times what a no name equivalent will cost – except they will likely include a card reader or two. This works OK – although I thought the ports were slightly off set – so I was a bit nervous in pushing in some cables. That seems to have sorted now – so maybe being used has striaghtened it out. It does have 100w pass through and it does offer 4K assuming you are using USB 3.1. It’s just the price!
High quality product, but also at a premium price
We cannot fault the product, but the price is rather high compared to how many very well made products are on the market. If you want something you can rely on and don’t worry so much about the price, this one is one to get though
Who Knew it is a Stand Too?
Ok, so I am a little embarrassed to admit that I did not realize this was a stand for my laptop. I got it as a usb c hub for all the external ports and initially planned to just use it off to the side, but then it hit me like a ton of bricks! I guess I was being dense that day. It is designed to be a stand. Even photos how this, but I guess I wasn’t paying enough attention.
Ok, so now that I have embarrassed myself, I am new to my devices having usb c. I recently got a new laptop that supports usb c charging, so now I am all-in on the value of usb c.
This is a great hub that provides many ports – Ethernet, HDMI, vga, micro sd and sd card readers. Wow. This hub does it all, and it’s because of usb c. Everything needs to be usb c going forward.
Great little adapte
As with everything I’ve had from Belkin, this is of good quality, has a generous range of ports and does exactly what it says without issue. My favourite part is that it’s on a cable so doesn’t have to sit flush to the device which offers some additional range of movement and also stops me worrying about the adapter getting snapped off when plugging other devices into it.
The build quality is solid, the ports are well made and the overall package is great, it’s the perfect laptop bag adapter due to is small size and it includes some of the most required ports =, which is ideal as laptop manufacturers move towards just having one or two USB-C ports.
Really happy with the adapter and can see it getting a lot of use with my laptop and MacBook.
Small type-C hub ideal for on the go
This extremely small type-C hub containing a 4K HDMI out, 100W PD input and a couple of type-A USB 3 ports is ideal if you are constantly on the go like me. This works absolutely fine with my Surface Go 2 fed by a 45W 12V type-C car charger connected to my LiFePO4 battery with absolutely no issues. As the SG2 only pulls around 30W when charging this set-up works for me but I’ve also tried it with my LG Gram 2021 model 16 inch laptop at home using a PD 100W mains charger with absolutely no issues with the Gram charging very quickly whilst in use so no problems what so ever. The hut is extremely compact so easy to travel with and all the ports work fine with no issues so highly recommended.
I use a lot of Belkin products as I always like the quality and have never had any issues and this is no exception. It arrive well packaged and is really well built and will last a long time rattling around in my bag. It connects via USB C and I have used it on my iPad Pro 11 and MacBook Pro. It connects instantly and the pass through 100w pd charger works perfectly with all my PD chargers. It doesn’t work with a standard type A to type C charger though! So if I need to charge my device whilst presenting or using external hard drives I have to carry a proper Mac/iPad charger.
I get the full speed through this and can connect a 4K tv to my iPad or Mac without any issues. I can also access external hard drives at max speed when I have a power source connected.
My only issue is the cost. I have a few of these devices that cost a fraction of the amount and still have power deliver pass through albeit not 100w. That’s why I dropped a star. Ideal for business when it needs to last longer with more uses but probably not needed for occasional use.

I don’t know what happened to this order, it seems to have got lost on its way for awhile. But all good things come to those that wait… I am told.
In the meantime, because I have two laptops with only USB-C connections, I had been using a variety of other options. This 6 in 1 adaptor has proven not only to be a great deal more convenient, but also the transfer speeds have been better than cheaper alternatives.
The single most impressive part of it, is its HDMI port, which does not create screen banding, unlike almost every other that I have tried, suffering from on occasions.
Conclusion: It is more expensive than many other products boasting the same features, but is not only worth the higher price, but was also in this instance worth the wait.

A nice on-the-go port replicator.
I usually have some sort of dock for every laptop I’ve owned. Whether it’s a full-blown Thinkpad-style dock or a Thunderbolt 3 dock, when I’m using my laptop as a workstation, the included ports usually don’t cut it for what I need.
While I wouldn’t want to use this as a full-time dock on my home or work desk, this does make for a nice port replication when you’re on the go.
For example’s sake, there are times when I’m doing work at a different facility and have access to work space where there’s ethernet and a monitor. for that kind of use, it’s nice to pull this out and know that I’m going to be able to use whatever flavor of connector the monitor has, gain an ethernet port without needing to find the local wi-fi password (especially if they’re using authentication on their wireless network) and still have ports left over for my mouse, phone, and removable storage.
As a full-time dedicated dock though, the realities of what you can push through USB-C would make me recommend a TB3 dock to anyone who has a computer with TB3 available. Yeah, they cost more, but the benefit of being able to add dual 4K monitors or run higher resolutions at 60Hz makes them easier to live with daily. As nice as this is for spending a few hours away from home or work, it isn’t what I’d want to use every day.
I get quite a few of these hubs to review and this particular one is from Belkin. It arrived well presented in a retail box with the usual Belkin livery and inside you get the hub and instructions.
This hub has a nice weight to it, giving it a quality feel, and is heavier than a lot of the others I have tried. The aluminium casing is very well finished off and so are the ports and cable. In terms of ports, you have:
1. 4K HDMI
2. Ethernet
3. USB-C 100W PD Port
4. 2 x USB 3.0
5. SD Card/TF Slot
The cable is quite short (15cm) and did pose me a problem for me when connecting it to my 12.4″ tablet and made positioning of it not ideal.
I connected my 32″ WQHD monitor, ethernet cable, mouse, back-up drive, memory stick and USB-C charging cable to this and then plugged it into my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus to run Samsung DEX. My tablet recognised the Ethernet connectivity and automatically switched from Wi-Fi to wired. With the screen, I had the choice of having DEX on the main screen, with my tablet having a different display, or mirroring. Either way, there were no issues, and the picture quality was excellent. The mouse also worked fine and so did the external memory devices, with transfer speeds being fast.
The size and weight make this an ideal travelling companion for business and/or personal use
Overall, I think this is a very well put together hub, which delivers on all fronts, apart from price. You can get the same or more connectivity for about a 1/3rd of the price of this hub (68.33) and they are certainly not 2/3rd the quality.

With so many 4 in 1 and 5 in 1 alternatives around, I really wanted an all in one solution as I use my MacBook Pro for a living. This 6 in 1 is perfect! Its allow 100w pass-through charging via USB-C and has a Gigbit Ethernet connection. Both very important to me since I use the device at work and can easily connect to the network and charge at the same time. It’s also got a host of ports including SD card slot, but most importantly for me, is the ability to pass-through 4K video. Finally, it’s made from metal and matches the colour of my MacBook Pro very closely, and is designed for faster heat dissipation and more stable performance.
This gets a solid 5***** rating from me.

I’m using this with an Alienware M15– driving a 4k monitor with the dock was, laggy at best. I also question the need for a VGA port at this point in my life. Just because your chipset supports it, doesn’t mean you should do it.

A simple well designed well made practical device that improves the connectivity of your laptop
I have always liked Belkin products and have a fair few of them. They are well made, they do the job they are designed for and they do last. Whilst not the cheapest, you get what you pay for and that is quality. This is a very simple device that massively improves the connectivity of your laptop. Many of the newer laptops or tablets now come with fewer ports. This deals with that issue. It has various ports (HDMI, SD, USB etc.). I plugged it into my laptop and it was working instantly. Transfer speeds seemed good to me (tried it with USB stick and SD card). It can also be used for charging (which I have not done as not needed). A simple well designed well made and practical device. Well pleased.
Dorm life has brought a few surprises for my son including the fact that wifi can be notoriously shoddy and having an multiport hub with ethernet set up at his desk might be really useful. He has been using this for over a month and it has been working perfectly. He charges multiple items daily using the hub (headphones, phone, etc) and it is a solid hard wearing device. As usual, Belkin delivers on quality and performance.

This is a great hub for creatives/photographers working away from the home office! It’s not technically a dock as you only set your laptop on top of the non-skid strip on the top, nothing holds it there. It definitely has all the options you need but for the price, couldn’t they have thrown a few more USB ports onto it?
Unfortunately, it does not work on every monitor. It worked on an older Sony monitor but not my new Dell monitors. I tried several different HDMI cables and no luck. You may find it works with yours, and if it does, this is a great little way to simplify your cable management. If not, make sure you kept the box!!
Great dock at a great price (11 in 1)
This review is for 11 in 1 Belkin docking station, NOT the dual display version.
This docking station is a great way to add much needed ports to MacBook. It doesn’t get hot even when fully loaded and offers all basic ports one might need. Wired internet port is a must for us as stable and fast internet connection is essential for what we do. It doesn’t charge the laptop but it charges your devices; cell, tablet etc. It allows one to hook up 4K monitor, wired internet, SD card, micro SD card, USB A peripherals, Audio jack 3.5mm. You know, ports never laptops don’t have for whatever reason (cmon Apple )
At $99 you get a great yet basic dock made by premium maker, Belkin. If you need more monitors and all that extra jazz you should look into something else but also expect to kick out double the price.

Excellent hub! These things have pretty much become essential in the past few years. Remember the days when these were actually a part of your laptop. I mean I still have my old MacBook with the disc drive! Oh those were the days, and my shoulder is still permanently dented from carrying that beast around.
This is exactly the quality I’d expect from Belkin. If gives you pretty much everything you’ll need but comes in a compact package. The cord is short and must be plugged into the left side. That’s not a problem for my MacBook as it had ports on both sides.
The price might come across as steep but if you think about buying each of those components individually, it’s a deal!
I think most USB docks look ugly and take up a lot of desk space. I like this wedge form factor better. I tested the USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, and the PD ports over a Thunderbolt/USB-C port on a Lenovo laptop and they all worked perfectly. I think being able to move the primary USB-C cable to the left or right side of the dock would've been nice, though, for some added flexibility. I also think the VGA port needs to go. Who's still using VGA video? Aside from that, I think this is a great USB-C dock for Windows laptops or MacBooks.

I know you can read the Belkin listing for all the details and specifications for this, so I’ll cut to the heart of this review.
The design premise of this docking station is to sit your laptop on the top of the unit. With that in mind, having the keyboard tilted does make typing easier and the screen can be adjusted to a comfortable position.
I have a MacBook Pro 13″ and I spent quite a bit of time playing around with placement. Trying to find a position that doesn’t rock or appear slanted was proving to be difficult, however; I did finally find a position that was stable and comfortable to use. The cord on this device is way too short and frustratingly stiff, hence the problem with finding a good position for my laptop on it. As other reviewers have mentioned, this device connects on the left side of your computer; so if you don’t have a USB on the left, you may want to keep searching. It is for these 2 reasons that I deducted star.
I like the fact it has the MicroSD & SD card readers. I normally use a USB jump drive, but there have been times when I wanted to jump pics straight from the cards. I definitely could have used a few more USB ports too. Although, I’m pretty sure I’d figure a way to max out however many they provided, LOL.
I don’t know why I had it in my head that this unit was going to have a footprint almost equivalent to my laptop. That doesn’t make sense, as it would be just another clunky thing to have to travel with. It is thankfully much smaller, less than 1/3 the footprint of my laptop and oh so light. YAY!!!
One thing I just LOVE about Belkin, is that it always works with Apple products.

I do like this and it works fine, with one exception. I like it and the issues hasn't stopped me from using it daily. But the problem is it gives my Dell Latitude an error about no having pass through power, every single time I use it. I just click the error away and then it works fine. It's getting power hen my laptop is plugged in, and it's charging, despite that error. There just must be something wonky with the wattage. For $100, I'm really disappointed that I get an error message at all. But in the end, it does it's job and me from buying Dell's powered hub for $150.

For $100, I’m really disappointed that I get an error message at all. But in the end, it does it’s job and me from buying Dell’s powered hub for $150.
As laptops evolve, their ports are gradually being taken away, creating a real need for docking stations just like this one.
Belkin’s stated objective in their listing for the 11-in-1 Multiport Dock is “Suppliesmultimedia andEthernet portsthat have been eliminated from the latestApple and PClaptops”. Well to that end, yes it does; and thank you very much!
I know you can read the Belkin listing for all the details and specifications for this, so I’ll cut to the heart of this review.
The design premise of this docking station is to sit your laptop on the top of the unit. With that in mind, having the keyboard tilted does make typing easier and the screen can be adjusted to a comfortable position.
I have a MacBook Pro 13″ and I spent quite a bit of time playing around with placement. Trying to find a position that doesn’t rock or appear slanted was proving to be difficult, however; I did finally find a position that was stable and comfortable to use. The cord on this device is way too short and frustratingly stiff, hence the problem with finding a good position for my laptop on it. As other reviewers have mentioned, this device connects on the left side of your computer; so if you don’t have a USB on the left, you may want to keep searching. It is for these 2 reasons that I deducted star.
I like the fact it has the MicroSD & SD card readers. I normally use a USB jump drive, but there have been times when I wanted to jump pics straight from the cards. I definitely could have used a few more USB ports too. Although, I’m pretty sure I’d figure a way to max out however many they provided, LOL.
I don’t know why I had it in my head that this unit was going to have a footprint almost equivalent to my laptop. That doesn’t make sense, as it would be just another clunky thing to have to travel with. It is thankfully much smaller, less than 1/3 the footprint of my laptop and oh so light. YAY!!!
One thing I just LOVE about Belkin, is that it always works with Apple products.

Solidly built and with just the right ports – multiple USB-A, 100W power delivery, HDMI, VGA, gigabit Ethernet, and an audio jack – it does its job, and doesn’t get even so much as warm. Its wedge shape and non-skid pad provide a nice stand for the USB-C laptop.
So, it’s a great device – but with ONE glaring weakness. The fixed, non-movable USB-C lead from the adapter to the laptop is positioned such that the USB-C port on your laptop must be on the left side of the laptop. While that’s true for many devices, it’s not true for all of them. If they found some way to either make it work with ports on either side of the laptop OR even if they merely made it longer or removable so it could be replaced with a longer one, this would be perfect. As it is, it’s still really really good.

Great Hub - Short Left-Hand Cord, Low Refresh
This is a well-designed hub intended to rest under your laptop while in use. Consequently, it has a fixed, short USB cable, which is only viable if your USB-C PD port is on the left-hand side. On my HP Spectre, that port is on the right, which meant the hub was very frustrating to use. Belkin could have easily eliminated this frustration by allowing you to connect and use a cord of any length
The hub was immediately recognized and usable for Windows 10. Ethernet, USB, and HDMI all connected and performed flawlessly. Unfortunately, the 4k output (which otherwise looks great) maxes out at 30 Hz, so don’t plan on using this for gaming. For productivity tasks, it’s just fine.
Build quality is excellent, as I would expect from Belkin. The housing feels solid, but is still lightweight enough to travel. Incoming power (up to 100W) is via USB-C PD, which means you can use your laptop charger and cable to power the hub. The hub draws 15W, maxing output to your laptop at 85W.
If your PD port is on the left-hand side, and if you don’t need 60Hz refresh on your external, 4k monitor, this is a great hub. It’s lack of versatility, however, kept me from giving it a 5th star.

I have a tray that I sit on the arm, which is quite wide, and try to make sure nothing falls off from the tray. With a laptop, you never seem to have enough USB A ports. Or USB C. So, I have tried a number of adapters to make my setup work perfectly for me. I like that I can sit my laptop on top of the dock, which is angled to allow this.

Docking stations have become essential technology these days. Belkin has a few options, but I think this one is their best. It gives you back some of the ports that the latest laptop models have eliminated. It’s small and compact. It’s a great accessory if you work from home. The quality is exactly what you expect from Belkin. I highly recommend this docking station.

All told, you get 4K HDMI 1.4, 4K DisplayPort 1.2, VGA, 1x USB-C PD 3.0, 2x USB-A 3.0, 1x USB-A 2.0, 1x Ethernet, SD 3.0 card reader, MicroSD 3.0, 3.5mm audio in/out.
Which ports do you need? On Windows / Chromebook machines, it’s:
* external mouse
* monitor (usually DP or HDMI)
* external keyboard
* Gigabit (important for my home network and VPN use)
I guess card reader is still useful, though I just carry a USB reader that can accomplish this without trying up a port.
Glad to see the 3.5mm audio output as this is an enduring standard outside of computing / smartphone circles.
I could have used another USB port or two (e.g, MIDI device, backup drive or drawing tablet).
It’s useful to have the hub deliver charging power, but you need to read the fine print.

An external USB power supply is recommended for pass-through charging. There is a brief reference to a 65W adapter, but I didn’t find which one Belkin had in mind. I tried one that I use for charging elsewhere and found that indeed the hub runs a bit hot under this circumstance. Look out, Phoenix/Tucson users.
