I got this for the conservatory and if you add ice with the water is absolutely fantastic, not too noisy however the remote doesn’t work now ?

Love the unit as it really does give out cold air. The best way to use the item is more then the ice packs provided, refrigerated water and some ice. The colder the water tank the better the unit!

Easy to set up. It’s on wheels, so it can be moved wherever.
Good if freezer blocks are put into machine, it works with or without, but freezer blocks make it even more colder. Great in a heatwave.

Air cooling uni
Bought during the summer hot spell as an emergency purchase. Visitors were staying in my back bedroom which had sun all day long and just couldn’t cool the room down. This certainly helped but to be honest only an actual air conditioning unit would have worked in that weather. Maybe it would work better if I had been able to use it before the room got so hot. Definitely better than the fans we had been using.

For ice cold air you definitely need alot more ice packs. Ice cubes work better as I was making my own ice blocks up using small freezer bags. Done the job required lovely

Ok, so I bought one of these from the warehouse section on Prime day and there are both good and bad things about it.
The good: it’s quite nice looking, and despite the warehouse description saying it would have cosmetic damage there is none that I can see. its light and manoeuvrable and definitely cools the air. I have a large open plan living room, and it cools about as well as a large fan does there but its much better in the bedroom as its a smaller space. I don’t think it’s too particularly noisy, no more than a fan, and the controls are easy to use.
The bad: I was expecting not to find the manual as described, no problem as they’re usually freely available online but mine is missing the remote and the ice packs too and you have to use the remote to set up the timer, which I had been hoping to do when I go to bed as I don’t want to leave it running through the night. After spending some time on chat trying to sort it, there doesn’t seem to be an easy solution to this, so if you’re buying from the warehouse, I’d say that you should be aware there might be some missing bits.
Still. Its ok, its cooling me down, I can probably live without the remote. I could do with the exercise.
Saviour in hot weather!
This has saved us in the current heatwave. It’s really powerful and cold. It is however quite loud and heavy to move from room to room hence the 4* but a great substitute for air con.
As being bed bound the fans even new expensive ones just wernt cutting it. Although easily manoeuvrable being upstairs with a stair lift I’d love another fore downstairs for use in both living rooms and kitchen and may just get another. Much nicer than the ugly ceiling fans including the so called modern ones. Excellent price and make that has such a high water volume compared to cheaper makes more than tripple the price. Well worth digital with remote for elderly or disabled even couch potato film buffs lol.
Only downfall is maximum timer of 8 hours compared to a handful of others on the market.
But as a bedbound person in a UK heatwave on 32 medicated tablets a day and a 12 month a year constant fan user. This feels like a life saver.
Looking forward to buying my next one and think every home needs one.

It’s a good compact unit with a powerful fan and cooling via water tray. You’ll need to maintain it though, clean out the intake filter on the back and empty the water bucket every couple of days and replace with fresh.

I’ve been very pleased with the unit it is very efficient & easy to setup. I use it in an office environment, the remote is really useful as if & when I have to take a call you can either reduce the fan speed or turn it off, when the call is finished simply turn it back on.

Taking the water tank out to fill is bit fiddly, use a jug to fill it in situ instead.
Quite powerful, much more than the tower fan I had before. The remote is good, can adjust from desk/sofa/bed as needed.

Bought for hot weather black and decker who are dewalt / Stanley/ have been around a long time this unit is sound for the money don’t expect ground breaking that would be about 400

Bought this to go with my smaller one. Filled it with cold water from the fridge and in went 2 ice packs and blasted it on number 3 talk about cold air was greaaat. This product is a must to have if you don’t have air conditioning, keeps the air cool and comfortable. It’s very easy to adjust the settings with the remote control and manoeuvrability is effortless.

Good chilled air flow but a bit noisy. Needs included ice chiller pods to work well. Large unit but manoeuvrable. Good size tank. The control panel annoyingly flashes whenever the unit is on and the more you increase the fan the more the panel flashes.

This does help in particularly hot temperatures but only if you keep water in it, with ice or icepacks it cools alot better. Id say it does a pretty good job of cooling down a small room temporarily. Its loud on the higher settings but fine on the lowest also the lights on top are very bright, I’ve stuck a bit of paper over the top to dim the lights.

Obvs have to put ice and blocks in. It’s no Aircon unit but much better that a normal fan. Noisy but lovely breeze comes from this unit.

We bought it during the heat wave as our normal fan just wasn’t enough. It can oscillate sideways and the vents can be angled up and down so it pretty much blows in any direction you want. It is noisy but not too noisy that you can’t hear the telly when it’s on it lowest setting, we don’t use it in the bedroom so can’t comment if you can sleep with it or not. For less than 90 for a such good brand, I think it’s fantastic value for money.

I ordered this in the midst of UK most recent heat wave. It was a spontaneous buy at 3am because I couldn’t sleep due to the heat. I am really pleased with the product and does the job. I’ve been able to sleep and get through the 30 degree Celsius heat at night! It is quite low so I’ve had to prop it up on a stool so it can blow onto the bed (see pic)
Value for money: I got it for just over 83 which I think is fair. The fan is a extremely powerful and more powerful than my standard fan. Also, my standard fan was just blowing around hot air but the air cooler actually works at cooling the air! I’ve been using ice and additional ice packs along side the two ice packs that comes with it. The fact it serves as a humidifier also is a bonus.
Ease of use: extremely simple to use. Fill with water, press the buttons and off you go! The water tank is fiddly to remove so it is easier to fill it with a jug keeping it attached to the machine. I opted for the manual version without a remote as I didnt want to pay extra for a remote than I knew I’d soon lose. I do like the ‘swift’ option which blows the air side to side.
Noise: it’s quiet on speed 1 and 2 but it quite loud on speed 3. However, I don’t think it’s much louder than a standard fan on speed 3. I’ve been leaving it on speed 3 and sleeping through with no problem

Its a decent size and good to cool a room down. Yes the fan is a but loud but i dont find it any louder than a normal table fan or standing fan.
It does not come with a battery for the remote which you ll need to buy seperate.
Over all money well spent for the current hot weather and as it works as a fan as well may come in handy in other seasons.

Brilliant product. Purchased as we live in a middle flat so it gets warm fast and I couldn’t be happier with it. Does exactly as it says. The water tank is easy to fill. I don’t use it in the bedroom so unable to rate sleep mode. All in all, this is a solid mid range cooling unit capable of cooling a reasonable large room.

Whilst this will never be as good as an expensive air conditioning unit – this is brilliant for cooling down a room and keeping it cool all though the night – from a noise perspective it’s not too bad at all – I would definitely recommend this

Really like this cooling fan has such great power in it and if used correctly can really cool the air down in a hot room. Ive found that its best to have it oscillating facing the door to push all the hot air out of the room first then later in the evening add cold water and the ice packs and leave on cooling mode while you sleep. Good quality for the price it is i believe people have been a bit harsh with their reviews. This is an air cooler not an air conditioner. The one tiny complaint i do have is the circuit board was put in backward in the fan so buttons on the unit is backwards. Other than that a great fan and can really help in those hot summer days.

Ive found that its best to have it oscillating facing the door to push all the hot air out of the room first then later in the evening add cold water and the ice packs and leave on cooling mode while you sleep. Good quality for the price it is i believe people have been a bit harsh with their reviews. This is an air cooler not an air conditioner. The one tiny complaint i do have is the circuit board was put in backward in the fan so buttons on the unit is backwards. Other than that a great fan and can really help in those hot summer days.
It does keep bedroom cool on humid nights
I love my cooler, we have velux windows in our room so cannot use window fan, this cools the room very efficiently, it is a bit noisy but dies not affect you sleeping. I love it.

4 stars overall as it’s pretty loud on full fan level 3. Level 1 is nice in the background. It’s quite large, but easily moved on its lockable swivel wheels. Filling the water reservoir is simple enough. One full tank will last constantly for about 2 days. The difference in cooling using the frost/water button is really pleasant. The ice packs make it even cooler, but I bought a 4 pack of cool box ice packs so I can keep some in the freezer and 2 in the fan water. The ambient settings are nice, but I leave it on level 1 at night and set the timer for a couple of hours. It’s made a massive difference the last couple of days in this heat wave. All in all, a great purchase.

Great at performing its function – cooling the individual down. We purchased for my daughter’s South facing bedroom as it stays very warm in her room. This has enabled her to feel much more comfortable. It is not an air conditioning unit so doesn’t cool the room but works much better than a fan and successfully cools people down. Not as noisy as a fan but some noise. Still, excellent value for money and does the job!

Noise level is higher than a regular fan but with music playing or headphones on it’s easy to drown out.
Lowest setting isn’t too noisy.
The wheels are convenient to move it around and have locks so it says in place.
Also note that, while I haven’t seen any temperature drop where I sit, the room is very large but I can sit comfortably in my corner for hours with cooler running, which was impossible before.
It’s okay, but I don’t think it’s worth 80 too noisy. I wear hearing aids and the noise from the machine drowns out any conversation I may be in. As for workability, it does the job

Decent but to loud, one of the wheels broken can’t get through to website, url not working, to get assistance.
Great product. I struggle to sleep at night as having hot flushes. This works really well. Only using the fan at the moment as this is fine for now. Saving the ice blocks and water for summer.
