Convenient for the car & the stairs and a quick wizz around. – once charged you can leave back on the charger after using it . For a white fibre filter replacement for this model make sure you order the right one, the Plastic pre-filter should last OK – but having a correct spare white filter is probably a good idea.
I live in a small flat and find this Black & Decker Hand vacuum extrremely useful in each room – kitchen, lounge, hall, small room I use as an office and the bedroom. I haven’t tried it yet in the car but that will be my next “have a go”.
Bought this to keep my new car clean. Excellent value for money. Sucks up all dirt and chippings which your shoes drag in.

Chose this over a pivot type. Simple, lightweight, good suction. Have used it quite a lot now and it’s great for light cleaning jobs.

The power of the unit is excellent and compared to other hand held vacuums I have tried this is superior.
Really like the product as a whole, lightweight, easy to use, good charge length. Only downside is the actual nozzle, it’s quite wide and no good for getting into those tricky car spaces, the little brush bit on the nozzle is a bit of a waste of time as went to use it on carpet and it flew off. I would recommend it as a handy little hoover for stairs and spillages

Love this item – does just what we need it to – pet hairs, stairs, window sills, dusty corners. Really easy to use; yes, you have to press the power button once for normal, then again for boost, then again to switch off, but this isn’t a problem at all. Some reviewers have mentioned the noise – well, it’s not quiet, but I wouldn’t expect it to be. It’s certainly not excessively noisy, so don’t let that put you off. Seems to last a long time when charged, and is really easy to empty. I love this, and don’t know why I didn’t buy one sooner! Would recommend without hesitation.

Love this but think it could do with a carpet tool for the stairs. Picks up well, easy to empty, charges quickly, I am pleased with it.
I bought a similar different make to this prior to this one and it was terrible so I sent it back but the Black+Decker model is amazing. The suction is strong, it is really good for stairs and also if you just need to clean up something quickly, it is perfect. The charge is very good too. I am very impressed and have recommended it to other people.
Got this for my elderly parents for small jobs around the house, but mainly hoovering up crumps after their dinners in front of the TV! Chose this over slightly cheaper brands/models and am pleased with the choice. Works well, suctions seems v good, and it is light enough for them to use easily. Can’t vouch for battery life as it is not generally used it for long enough at one time to be a problem. Relatively easy to empty. The extendable nozzle is stiff to move in and out, but other than that small issue it does a good job and we are all pleased with the purchase.

Great product for picking up spills and dead flies on windowsills during the summer! Charge lasts a reasonable time and suction is good. Handy for stairs. Quite noisy, but I wouldn’t be without this now

Wanted good suction for a reasonable price and thats what i got. Dont expect the battery to last a lifetime as other reviewers have indicated and to be expected with this type of unit. Tried a new handheld dyson and would rather this.
i bought this to replace my old g tech hand held vac and it is a million times more powerful. i only really use it to suck up cat grit but it has masses of potential for multi-use. it has 2 settings but i find the regular one more than sufficient as if you go ahead/in front of what needs clearing, the bits get blown backwards! would thoroughly recommend
Excellent hand dustbuster with floor and wall fitable charging mount. Very powerful. Removing the dust collector very fiddly as it’s not obvious at all until you get used to it.

I bought a B&D hand held cleaner several years ago to vac my car. It was excellent, but when I bought a Dyson Animal for home I thought I didn’t need the B&D, so gave it to my daughter. Since then I’ve bought a motorhome and wanted something to vac it out. I’ve wasted money on trying out cheaper machines, but they were useless. Because of my previous experience I decided to spend the extra and take a chance that it would be as good as my previous model, so I bought this B&D vac and it is excellent and does everything I want it to do, so much so that I’m considering buying a second one to use at home for minor cleaning. If you want a portable, hand held, vac, I’d recommend this highly
This is my third dustbuster in 30 years (so the others lasted about 15 years each) but this is SO much better! It sucks – really sucks! Cleaned inside my wardrobe (it is carpeted but the vacuum won’t fit) really well. With the brush thing that just flips down it does skirting boards a treat too.
I must admit, I have bought a few dust busters in the past and none have been strong enough to clean the car, so when I decided to try once again I did some research but in the end, could not afford the Dyson hoover. I was somewhat sceptical about this hoover, thinking if I doesn’t work it’s going straight back in the post.
Surprisingly, it worked fantastically; it cleaned my car like a dream, actually easier than my house vac. The blue slide tube made getting in the sides of the seats simple enough, the boost button picked up all the little gravel stones.
The charge sadly, from full to nearly dead, took just 40 minutes, but it was fully charged up in a couple of hours. The charging unit is a nice finish, fits great on the wall and the hoover just clips in. The charger also turns itself off when fully charged.
I have had 2 hand Dyson’s and a VAX and this one is way better, it’s very easy to clean and has much better suction than all 3 put together.

Powerful enough for me to clean up bits n pieces, not the best for dog hair, but it will pick up loose hair but not trodden in hair. Battery life seems good, I can whizz around a 5 x 5mtr office everyday and it’s still left on half power at the end. Easy to use, grab off the dock and away you go.
I love this! Quite powerful with 2 speed. Very easy to clean. It has an excellent autonomy and works for a long time, even at the highest setting. Definitely recommend it.

I got fed up of sweeping the kitchen floor 6x a day after my baby had eaten and dropped food everywhere/cooking/life had happened. This has a powerful suction, good battery life (I can whizz it round a few rooms at a time) and works well on tiles and wooden floors. Its quite good on carpet too.
Only criticism so far is the filter has a habit of popping out mid flow, the catch could be improved.

This thing is even smaller than I thought. Not so good for cleaning a large floor. It’s better for small rooms with wooden floors. The battery seems to go down to one bar very fast and takes a while to charge.

I like this vacuum cleaner, this is already second one. We use one for the dinner table and another one for the car cleaning and it works just as expected.

Fixed to the wall easily, charges quickly, does the job to pick up bits around the kitchen corners, etc.
Not strong enough for cleaning bits from the car, still need the powerful vacuum to do this job.

This is an amazing little hoover! I must admit it’s a long time since I had a mini hoover, but this is excellent for cleaning my car and going round the edges in the kitchen and picking up bits off the rug. It’s pretty much my favourite Christmas present..! It arrived quickly and was put on charge straight away -the battery life seems good as I haven’t had to recharge it yet and I’ve used it loads. It seems to have 2 settings and they are both excellent at picking bits up. I’m very happy so far with this product.
Bought as a Christmas present so can’t fully comment but had everything it needs and will hopefully be well received

UPDATE: finally after 3,5 years battery has stopped charging, but still 5 stars because it served us well!
I could say it’s too small, not practical, doesn’t have enough suction, but this is a small, portable, occasional vacuum, so as far as these things go, it’s perfect. Anyone who says otherwise probably has incredibly high expectations from such device.
Clips onto the stand easily enough.
Emptying is a sinch. Just unclip the side, pull out the filter and empty into the bin. Give it a shake to remove the dust and put back together. Simple.
Easy for the kids to use.

I bought this cleaner having previously seem one owned by my son. Whilst it does take a while to “fully” re-charge, the Lithium battery is man enough for me to fully and quickly vacuum the inside of my Insignia car, all in one operation. It is also a very effective fly/moth catcher!!!!
Not amazingly, but useful for hoovering spilt stuff up. I use it to get rid of dog hair that migrates to the corners of my kitchen floor.

This Dustbuster seems robust and efficient if a little heavy. It is certainly the best I’ve come across. It is used in the house and in the car and I am very pleased with it.

This unit does the job quite well but it is VERY noisy. Also the wall mounting bracket is quite flimsy.

I bought this for my sewing room to replace an 8-year old old handheld Dyson that died. Sadly it was no longer supported by the company, otherwise they would have checked what the fault was and maybe a new 80 battery would have done the trick, but at that price I couldn’t chance it. So firstly this isn’t a Dyson. And it’s relatively noisy. But to be fair it’s a big improvement on the old dustbusters I owned pre-Dyson. The sewing room vacuuming tasks aren’t very onerous – picking up thread, bits of cloth and paper from cutting table and carpet – but it performs well. And it’s easy to empty. And it sits nicely on its wall charger near a power point. I’m sure it will do other jobs if I want it to but we have another Dyson cordless for that! So all in all I’m happy with my purchase – it’s fine for its purpose. But if you hanker after something to last you years and perform every job smoothly and effortlessly, maybe save up and buy a Dyson instead. I simply couldn’t justify the expense.
Switch failed after 15months of 24 month warranty so returned to B&D (Power Tool Centre Liverpool). Unit was replaced with new. Great service. Carriage paid by B&D both ways unlike recent warranty repair of Panasonic bread maker.
First one wouldn’t charge, had to send back. That wasn’t easy as it has lithium ion battery in it and you can’t send back normal post. Second one works well.
It’s a good handheld vacuum cleaner but the extending suction arm is a little jammy.

Powerful vacuum. Able to pick up the bits of dirt and pretty much all kinds of spills easily. Read alot of reviews and finally settled for this model. It is alot pricier, but you get what you pay for. If you want to buy a vacuum, might as well invest in a good one, instead of getting frustrated with one that sucks!
Good little Hoover for the kitchen and my car. Use it all the time, I put the context of a little aroma sachet inside it so when I Hoover it smells so nice and freshens the air in the house
I have had this for a few months now and it is so handy to pick up for a little clear up or even for bigger jobs like the stairs of the cars. It’s more powerful than some reviews lead me to believe and the battery life is roughly 20 mins – enough for me to fairly comfortably do 2 cars. It holds a fair amount but is very simple to empty anyway. Really glad I bought this.
Not bad for what you pay, it does the job
Pros:
+ Looks like as powerful as the 18V versions which are more expensive. But specifications are unclear to prove what is more important in real use – air watts, air flow or suction pressure. Between the models one is up, another is down.
+ Li-ion technology = no battery issues generally, easy and relatively fast to charge (6 hours). But still slow considering you only get 16 minutes battery life.
+ Quite compact and as light as I would be comfortable with – 1.1 kg.
+ Filter and dirt compartment is combined, easy to remove.
+ Turbo mode for more power (short period only).
+ Although not up to the required power level the vacuum cleaner is generally usable in the car as well.
+ Charge level indicator (3 levels).
Cons:
– To turn off the dustbuster you need to click twice as the first click goes to turbo and the second turns off the vacuum. It is a simple thing, but will get me more annoyed especially when you need to keep noise out (turbo raises the noise level obviously).
– 6 hours charge for only 16 minutes might seem a bit too long, but if that will prolong battery life I am OK with that.
– The 15-16 minutes running time is not a lot, but I consider it the minimum that should be tolerable.
I am keeping this vacuum as it satisfies all my requirements and I even found more uses than originally planned. A true bonus for me is that is also a bit useful in the car as well – stones from the carpet and random dirt from the seats are cleaned well enough.
Love this! Bought as a replacement. The suction is amazing even on the lower power! The only flaw is the docking station. You have to hook it on as appose to sitting it on a Base. But apart from that absolutely fantastic!!!
I purchased this mainly to clean my car and was very impressed with the power and ease of use. It even managed to pick up the fine sand after my trip to the beaches of Cornwall. The only downside is that it did not come with extra tools to clean the hard to reach places of my car.
If the nozzle was narrower it would be great for cleaning fluff out of the tumble dryer, but it doesn’t fit.
One last thing – to switch it off to have to cycle through on, extra power, then off. It would be better if there just an on/off button and a separate ‘boost’ button. But it’s not a big deal, it’s still a useful thing to have in the house.
Works well. Great suction strenghts. Littlebit noisy and the suction nose angle could be a bit more standing up.

This works well – especially in turbo mode – but the battery time is not great – 10 minutes or so. Enough to do your car, but not your house!
We use ours for any cat litter that has gone onto the floor, but it is powerful even on the normal setting for most tasks. Extendable end is a bonus too for cobwebs,etc, Worth the extra for the charging dock.

Nice device, smaller than I thought yet powerful and does the work. It is noisy and needs a second try sometimes to reattach the dust canister after you empty it. Overall a good value for money.
Not mentioned in the text, but the charging base *can* also be wall-mounted and the screws are included in the package.
We purchased this to replace my old 12V DustBuster that we have had for 15-years or more – better and excellent.
It has variable power and seems pretty powerful for the size. It come with charging base that it sits on when not in use which is more convenient than some where you have to plug it in each time. The end of it extends a little bit to give a little extra reach if needed, this is the only part of it that feels a bit cheap. its just a blue inner that slides out. One of the other deciding factors was the little dust brush attachment. Now this is attached and just flips out when required as it is attached you wont lose it. The way it is designed you cannot use the brush with the extension so a slight design flaw there.
a full charge lasts maybe 15 minutes however its rarely used that long. Mainly just used quickly for any small patches of dust/crumbs/hair where getting the main vacuum out would be a pain.
Overall I would recommend this dustbuster.
Excellent – good power and stamina, easy to empty and performs well. Great for picking up bits of cat litter ( out of tray!) well and it is light and easy to use. And the great thing is it IS value for money! Well done B&D.
