Brilliant monitor & fantastic tech suppo
I got this on the recommendation from a friend. I had real issues setting it up but the company could not have been more helpful. They talked me through ideas to solve the issue & sent out a replacement monitor when we couldn’t fix the issue. First day using it & really impressed so far. Alerts are accurate and quick.
Generally a good system, but feels like a prototype
After doing some research, we opted for the bluebell monitor over the others on offer like the owlet. We wanted something to give some additional information as new parents and it does help achieve this.
Many people don’t like these type of devices and argue that they are not needed or that in someway it could lead to negligence, but in reality it’s been great for confirming or reducing some anxiety as new parents. Being sleep deprived and pondering if the layers are too much or too little after reading 5 different “official” resources online and trying to gauge baby temperature, is where this comes to help.
Cons: 1 year warranty is insufficient, with a life span expected of only 2 years. The device doesn’t feel as premium as we expected or are used to from other electronic equipment nowadays. The speaker is pretty poor, very high pitched and not really loud enough. For some reason if the device loses Internet connection, it can’t find it again without switching it off and on (doesn’t happen often and could be our internet) but after a bluebell hub power cycle it works again. Had the system running for 4 weeks and the watch packed in (got a new one sent out via the live chat which is very good and quick at responding). Notifications on phone are not good enough. Could be our Samsung galaxy phones, but when a “major” warning goes off, it just comes up as silent notification (raised with support) but we expected a fairly blunt and obvious push alarm notification. App seems to run in the back ground if accessed via previously used apps, but if opening from app menu it reloads it again.
Pros: the watch is very reactive to notifications especially roll over and the connection is consistent at all times. Readings seem accurate to what we have tested with our other devices. The app itself is great for inputting feeds, nappy changes etc. Can be used in away mode, I.e out if home (manually selected on watch) which is a handy thing to have.
Some other info: monitor and watch connection is to the bluebell hubs own 2.4ghz band. The hub then connects to home WiFi. So the watch and monitor need to be within bluebell hub range not just home wifi range, but you can monitor via the app anywhere on phone.
There doesn’t seem to be much out there similar to this, and although it’s not perfect, it is helping us and gives that bit of extra reassurance. I like to think the money invested here is is ensuring a stable monitor/watch/hub connection which it does well hence it possibly lacks in other areas. I get the feeling that bluebell 2 (if one comes) will be much better in terms of the other qualities. Its a significant investment for what’s a non-polished device in our opinion, they need to hand it to Google Nest to tune it, but we are glad we have it, just for the possible roll over warnings alone!
I bought this product to help alert me to my baby’s needs in the night without having to sleep with my hearing aids in (which I don’t like at all – it’s a noisy world out there!) and it has been brilliant. It has also been great for nap times too, as I don’t have to worry about not hearing my girl from another room. I started using the Bluebell when we were still room sharing; now we are in separate rooms on different floors and it works perfectly.
The Bluebell is a hub, with a parent wristband and baby monitor which is clipped to the vest. It alerts you when baby rolls on to tummy (great when newborn), cries, stops breathing or has a temperature. You can adjust the sensitivity for all of these or just switch them off. The hub links up to the internet and works with an app so you manage everything from your phone.
It does take time to develop some confidence in the product so take your time with it and adjust the settings. There is also an inbuilt help tool in the app so you can send a message to support if you have any trouble – I have found the Bluebell team have been quick to respond and really helpful! Updates are sent directly to the Bluebell hub so you don’t have to worry about enabling these.
As the system is wifi enabled, it will stop working when the internet crashes or goes down for maintenance (tends to make me break out in a sweat). Fortunately when this happens the parent wristband and baby monitor will just communicate with each other. Be alert to announcements on updates on the app, as these will tell you about new features that will be useful to know in the night!

The best thing we bought for the baby
A fantastic baby monitor, that really gives us peace of mind. It has a parent wrist band which will alert you to any problems in the night, which is great as it means no waking the other person or the baby. It tracks things like breathing, temperature, position they are lying in etc. Which is great when they start rolling over and face planting!
The phone app is great and allows you to track feeds, nappies etc which wa so handy when he was a newborn. It also let’s you track milestones like first smile, rolling over, crawling etc.
Overall we love having a monitor that is health focused as you can see a baby monitor camera screen and they may look OK, but actually have stopped breathing. Whereas, with this piece of kit, you know exactly how they are. I love that I van talk to my baby through the base unit and the fact that it had a light and baby lullabies etc.
We teamed it with a super cheap camera (also from amazon), so we can look in on our phones if we wish, but found that it’s really not necessary.
I woukd definitely recommend the bluebell to everyone. I just feel more content and happier knowing it is tracking him throughout the night and will alert me jf there are any issues.

I can finally sleep
Since getting the bluebell I can finally sleep I’m a first time dad and it’s scary at night I worry my daughter stops breathing everything you could worry about I worried about XD now we have the blue bell I sleep soundly knowing if she’s stops breathing I get a alarm and if she’s waking up I get a alart I know she’s safe and sound with the bluebell I recommend it to all new family’s

Alerts were good, at letting you know if there’s a problem.. ie, baby’s temperature, rolls tummy etc.. either via the watch or on your phone
Amazing customer service, our first monitor was difficult to set up and very temperamental and wasnt picking up the crying of the baby i contacted the company and within a matter of hours a new baby sensor had been sent out to see if it improved things, it still didnt so again Remi got back to me within the hour and sent a whole new set up which arrived a day later, the new monitor is amazing set up was quick and straight forward and all aspects work perfectly. So much peace of mind with the monitor especially with a preemie couldn’t recommend more.
I went back and forth about a breathing monitor throughout my pregnancy. Lots of people told me it would make me more anxious but the day after we brought her home I ordered this for next day delivery! I am so glad I did.
The monitor has been used every day and night and my baby is now 7 weeks old. We have never had an issue with any false alarms which I was initially worried about. I definitely sleep better knowing this is on her.
The clip on is totally fine for them to wear as well, she doesn’t even notice it it’s so lightweight and doesn’t irritate her.
The tracking of sleep, feed and nappy changes is great too, especially in the very early days when midwives and health visitors are asking about this and you’re literally too tired to remember!
The monitor is really accurate at taking her temperature as I have also taken a reading with another thermometer. I’m not sure of the accuracy in room temperature though, seems to say it’s slightly warmer than it is but that isn’t really an issue.
When this first arrived I had a problem with the watch not working but I contacted customer service and they were amazing they sent out a new one straightaway. I think some of Amazon stock is maybe faulty so not sure if you are better ordering direct from bluebell.
This monitor is obviously much more expensive than some but I’m so glad we invested in this. It does look quite cheap but I wouldn’t let that put you off, as long as it does the job it’s not a big deal. You cannot put a price on the peace of mind it gives and if it helps you sleep better thats priceless!
Originally bought this from Amazon and received one that had clearly been used and returned. Sent this back and bought direct from the company. However felt I needed to review the actual product as I’m really happy with it.
This is a great monitor – I find it so reassuring that it is constantly monitoring my baby’s breathing when we are asleep, or she is out of my eyeline e.g. in the car or pram. The watch makes it very easy to see what’s wrong and I like that it doesn’t beep in the middle of the night but vibrates which is plenty to wake me. The charging dock is really nice as it doubles as a nightlight- plenty bright enough to do a night feed by – and also plays white noise. I wish I’d bought it as soon as my baby was born!
Love this monitor.
Gives great peace of mind whilst baby is sleeping. Clip-on monitor is small enough that our son doesnt seem to realise it’s even on, and the smart watch vibrates well enough to wake us up when an alert happens. The base unit had a range of noises it can play at a range of volumes, and the nightlight in the base unit is super adjustable too. We tend to use ‘pink noise’ or wave sounds. The base unit also tells what the room temperature is which has been really handy.
Would recommend as a great alternative to a video monitor, as you don’t find yourself staring at a screen whilst baby is sleeping.
Expensive for a baby monitor but worth the money!
Easy to use and very reassuring for anxious parents of a newborn. There was a minor issue with the screen but customer service were super helpful and replaced the device with no fuss. I would definitely recommend this, especially for new parents
I would recommend this monitor! Although I bought for our new born I haven’t really got the value from it until now, at 4 months. I soon got over my paranoia about her breathing, so stopped using the heart monitor after the first week. I really like the listening capability on my phone and also the routine app for tracking all the feeds and sleeps through the day. With everything on my phone I don’t use the watch – but others probably prefer the watch so good to have the option. My only frustration is the home WiFi because although it ‘works’ without – as I want to listen in I do need the WiFi to operate the hub; we got a cheap radio one to cover when WiFi is dodgy.
Bluebell has been a life saver for us. Our daughter has a condition which we need to keep a eye on her temperature and breathing. Would definitely recommend and 100% worth the money. So thankyou.

This monitor is expensive but worth every penny. It gives you insightful information about your baby, their routine and sleeping pattern (how long they’ve solidly slept without stirring) as well as covering all bases in terms of their safety (temperature/sleeping position). The baby monitor is very lightweight, the battery lasts a long time and clips onto clothing easily (it took me a few goes to get the nack of it) and our baby has no idea it’s on. As he gets older I have no worries about him removing it due to the design it is completely immovable. This, in my opinion, makes it superior to competitors. You cannot miss the alerts especially with the parent wrist band on, the vibration alone is enough to wake you from a deep sleep. An added bonus I hadn’t realised when purchasing is that it is also compatible with the iwatch and the alerts come through to this as well. The monitor was easy to set up and the software installs easily/quickly on iOS devices. The facility to track your babies routine in one place is fantastic (feeds/nappy changes and even medication) and to be able to look back and see if things have changed with your routine is truly excellent. Adding other users is a breeze i.e. for babysitters, it takes less than a minute to send the invite and download the app. We took the plunge to spend more on a baby monitor to have access to insightful information about our baby. After scouring the market I chose this monitor due to the brilliant reviews. We haven’t been disappointed, we haven’t looked back since it arrived. The reasons for us purchasing this device are sad but important to know. We lost our previous child and needed something to help us cope with the anxiety of coping with a new baby. This device is excellent – it works as describes and gives us peace of mind. We have been using it since our child was born three months ago and use it every single night. The watch is comfortable to wear and our baby doesn’t mind wearing the sensor at all which is really quite small. The alerts the watch give are very very fast and enough to wake you up if you need to be aware of something – I now have peace of mind that should he roll onto his front or have any issues with his breathing this device will alert me instantly. We’re so grateful that we found this; I’m not sure what we would do without it. There are many features that we haven’t used but I’m sure will be useful to others such as tracking feeds, activity etc. For us though this is primarily about safety and monitoring baby health and wellbeing and providing peace of mind.
Thank you so much to the team who came up with this device – the customer service is of the highest quality. I sense they are a small company but it means they are very responsive. We had an issue with the watch after owning it for around six weeks – I emailed the support line, got a response within a few minutes and a new watch was with me the following morning. The team talked me through how to use the accompanying phone app to give alerts for that night instead of the watch whilst it was unavailable. I can’t think of many companies who could provide a level of service like this.

Fabulous baby monitor and it’s not even my baby it’s on! I’m Nan but I have the app too so I can see how my little granddaughter has been during the night or day and I also get the alerts if the monitor is not in place properly etc

Great idea and great product, gives you all the info I’m going to want to keep an eye on baby’s wellbeing. Baby not arrived yet, but can see just how we will use this, very happy now we have it here and have tried it out. Will update to 5 stars if it performs as well over time once baby is here.

Works just like we’d hoped, and the app to track nappies etc is really useful. We are mostly using the app and the watch is a little clunky, but can see us using it more once we leave him alone more

We would not be without it! As well as the ability to check on baby in all the ways advertised, it automatically records when baby sleeps, which has made identifying his sleep cycle easy and makes getting timing of naps “right”, baby wouldn’t be getting as much quality sleep without it, and nor would we! Worth every penny. And the customer service is fantastic like the other reviews have already said! You won’t regret it!
