I understand there are less expensive ones to choose from, however I would recommend spending a little more to get this one. It works well, has all the same features that other shredders have, shreds 20 sheets (although for any shredder I would not go over half the number of sheets it says, so only do about 10 at a time so you do not get paper stuck), shreds credit cards and CD’s and has the removable bin. You can’t go wrong with this purchase.
Needed for home use. Large enough and does 10 sheets at a time. Better than the smaller ones.
Thought it would be quieter than what it is. It doesn’t sound very powerful when it’s running but so far, so good at shredding.

Collection box a bit flimsy but overall satisfied. Seems to do the job.
I was looking for a shredder with a long run time and this did not disappoint. I did a long run of over 30 min, only put 4 sheets in at a time, and it did not stop. You have to empty the basket so it gives it a break as you go along. Easy to use, the basket helps make less mess, but you get some as the paper will drop down when the basket is out. Easly to move around. Very happy so far.
I got this machine and the next day I used it constantly for 5 hours shredding almost 3 years worth of mail, bank statements and junk mail
I never tried to make it shred more than 4 sheets at a time.
It never overheated and performed well.
The only issue was when I emptied the basket, the shredder cuts the paper so well it leaves some dust on the inside of the unit but a damp cloth run over it when you finish and that sorts it out.
Of course the machine is unplugged from the power before I clean it.
Works really well for me in a home/small office environment .

This unit is powerful but extremely quiet. Deals with most cardboard easily. Definitely recommend.
Shredder is good to go easy to operate and I like that it is on casters easy to manoeuvre.

I am very pleased and feel it’s worth the money, my only concern is the plastic at the top of the drawer where it connects to the shredder feels “flimsy”, hope that lasts well.
But the shredding part feels solid.
It actually does what it says on the tin. It is my first time using the brand – compared to my previous shredders, it sounds somewhat noisy. Either than that , it’s not a ad piece of kit for the money.

For the money, this product extremely robust. Other shredders at similar price point just cant handle the volume and consistent use that we need. This is the second Bonsaii shredder we have bought as they are so reliable, so i use them in all my businesses. Also, the company upheld it’s 12 month warranty, and replaced the product free of charge when an unusual fault developed after 11 months of ownership. Can’t ask for more really.
I have recently had the task of clearing a relatives old paperwork. There was a huge accumulation of items that were personally identifiable so they needed shredding. I have had shredders before but there were for light duty and could not cope with this volume of material. I am delighted with this machine, it quiet, powerful and easy to empty. It is a little more expensive but the extra cost is easily justified.
Easy to move, really quiet compared to several I’ve had before. I’m really pleased with it.

I did my research on machines that can handle cardboard shredding, which I use for compost. This came out top for value. Works perfectly! It doesn’t cope with triple ply cardboard (too thick) but single ply and double ply (the most common types for Amazon) are fine. Great buy!
Found it tricky to set up on my own but a helpful friend assisted me. Been a great shredder, quickly disposing of piles of paperwork.
The shredded paper drawer is a little flimsy, but shredder works well.

I bought this to shed paper and cardboard boxes for my HOTBIN composter and it’s been brilliant so far. Instructions are simple and I’ve shredded all my delivery boxes and unwanted paper since it arrived.
I use this thing to shred cardboard boxes for mulch. It works great for this task. Shreds up to double-level corrugated and shoebox cardboard. No sign of weakness or struggle. Opening size is limiting factor. Seems like a solid and rigid machine.
REMOVE staples, don’t be a dingus.

Great shredder, shreds loads at the same time. Only downside is it’s messy to empty, if it came with an internal removable bin or any easy way to put in a bin bag it would be 5 stars
Finally no more trips to the recycling centre with piles of Amazon boxes. This shredder cuts through cardboard boxes like butter.
Use this as a home-based shredder. Very tough and relatively quick. The bin pulls out so to avoid a mess! Great design! And actually, shredding can feel quite therapeutic with this unit! Now, give me something to shred! 🙂
We have a lot of private paperwork to dispose of from our club and home. We are not in a position to be able to burn it so it is very convenient.
What schreat shredder. Works great even on cardboard. Very pleased with this product.
We shred most things with names and addresses on so this sits in the corner of the dining room and is in constant use.
It shreds great and is pretty quiet, unlike the noisy units I’ve had before.

Does what it says in the description – efficient, heavy-duty shredder – at a reasonable price. It has made my life so much easier, both in that it takes more sheets in one go and also it carries on working for much longer before needing to cool down. Highly recommended.

Love that it’s on wheels and can be moved around. Shredds multiple sheets and cards easily. The pull out draw is a real asset. We had one before that you had ot keep lifting the top off, which was really inconvenient. this is a much better design!
Assembly with fitting the wheels is absolutely awful and I cracked the base when trying to fit the front ones and that was ‘doing it gently’.
Shredder itself is really good, easy to use, easy to manoeuvre though it does wobble due to difficulty fitting the wheels fully to their desired length. Value for money is a challenging question due to the above.
Would be best supplied with the wheels pre-fitted.
Even though it’s brand new and I broke it fitting the wheels, I repaired it with superglue as I couldn’t be bothered with the exchange process due the weight and subsequent handling of it.
Freaking awesome! I shred paper for rat, guinea pig, and rabbit litter and it works really well! I can put a lot of paper through at once and it holds a lot of paper in its little basket thing. It’s quite than my old one which was way smaller than this. Don’t get me wrong it’s still loud but it’s a shredder not much you can do there. I also haven’t had it over heat yet! I use it for a couple hours straight when I shred too. Maybe it’s because I’m comparing it to an old shredder I have that’s at least 20 years old but this thing works so well! I’m so thankful I got it!

My only gripe is that it’s messy when emptying the bin as, some bits get in between and fall from the blade each time.
We had an issue with the shredder, which was very quickly and efficiently sorted out. I wish all companies were this caring.
I bought this to shred all our Amazon boxes (we may have a little shopping issue!). Works great and now I don’t spend Sundays cutting up and crushing boxes to fit in the trash. No issues at all so far. It does complain with the thicker cardboard but still gets it done. Spent a good 30 minutes today shredding with no problems.
This Bonsaii 20 paper shredder is ideal for anyone who has lots of shredding. I would also recommending getting the oil for cleaning the blades.
Nice size and handles up to 12 sheets easily. Overheat protection and auto start which works fine. An impressive machine.
So quick to get all my old paperwork rid of. So easy to use and with having the wheels on the manoeuvrability to help with being disabled is fantastic.
Be careful when fitting the castors. If you turn the casing upside down to do so you will damage the top of the casing. Best to fit them with the casing on its side. Agree with other reviews that the bin seems flimsy. The actual unit is very good though.
Something was wrong with the sensor on our shredder. I contacted customer service and we tried to trouble shoot, but couldn’t get it to work properly. They not only sent a replacement, but upgraded the replacement with THIS model. We really love this shredder. Very powerful
Worked like a charm, i did 10 garbabge bags of shredded paper, it can handle 20 sheets of paper but motor slows down a little, it handled 10-15 sheets at a time no problem,, glad i bought this uni
It’s day one so I can only say so much about it. But so far it’s a great machine. Needed it to shred cardboard and stuff to save to use in composts. It’s pretty cool to watch strips of boxes turn into mulch. It’s pretty quiet. It has a fan that helps cool it down. Using shredded cardboard in compost or gardens is a great way to recycle.
Hopefully it lasts.
If you plan to use it with worm compost… Then as a tip, use something like olive oil to lube the blades. As to keep the material safe for the worms.
Efforts to deal with this volume using a small 2 minute use shredder, only capable of shredding single sheets was futile, and may have taken the rest of my life !
enter the Bonsaii – after some testing, I decided to limit the number of sheets inserted at one time to 5, criss-crossed sheets in a stack about 12 inches (30cms) tall, then set about shredding in one long session.
Easy, quiet, reliable, and efficient.
Over a week, I filled 12 green bags (same size as the old black bags used for rubbish, but used in our city for recycle items), all of which were taken by refuse dept for recycling !!
Job done, and I now stay on top of shredding on a day by day basis

Arrived in quick time. So far has worked well, hopefully it will go longer than a couple of months which is what happened with another well known brand.
Love this, just literally shredded years of paper work which had just stockpiled into a box. been meaning to get a shredder for a few years. nothing else to shred for the moment, but i am sure junk mail wil start filling up lol
Have had this shredder a while. It replaced an old one at had hit it’s limit. I wanted to try the new shcredder before doing a review. I had a lot of material to shred when it arrived at my house. I have not had any problems with it. It seems to be an excellent product.
It’s early days yet but initial indications shows this unit to be more powerful, quiet and operates much smoother than my last.
It’s perfect for home shredding and I was pretty impressed considering the price. I’ve had for around a year but only use it once every couple of months so unsure how durable it would be if used more.
The motor seems quite powerful and does shred really well. However, the so-called drawer and the casing are extremely shoddy in my opinion and of much poorer quality than the Rexel I have had to discard. I chose it partly because it has a drawer as I am arthritic and need a shredder that makes it easy to empty the paper shreds. I can do it but I find it quite difficult. Were global circumstances different, I would have returned it.
What I like about this product was the fact it didn’t overheat and shut down like other shredders I had purchased in the past few years. It handle my family six months worth of junk mail within a half hour before the I needed to change the first full basket. I dump 3 full basket and no signs of it slowing down cause of overheating. I love it. I should have purchased it during Black Friday, so I could have save a little more off the price.
So far, so good, seems vary tough, much better than the previous one of a different make
I wrote a review how good it was when I first had it well today 24th Feb 2020 it has broke down been talking to customer care at the moment I have identified what the problem is so will wait for there response as I want a new one.
I found that I had to stop to let the unit cool down . Never needed to wit old unit .
I have been please with the unit since the first day after I stopped using the unit before it overheated.
Does what it says. Have been using for over 3 months. It shreds effectively – from sheets of paper to card to credit type cards. The pullout drawer to empty the shredded paper is brilliant. So easy. Very plasticky looking, it’s not as attractive as my much cheaper Ryman’s model but it really does the job and so far hasn’t jammed.
We had a Fellows shredder for along time before it died. This is better than the Fellows a really good shredder. As with all shredders you have to look after them, keep it oiled
Second, Make sure when is full you empty the tray regularly cause it might stop shredding if the basket is full.
Third and last. I will be updating a six month review to make sure its working fine.

Working like no other. Highly recommend it.
UPDATE! 19 month review. This shredder still going strong. We use it for tons of things and still a work horse. Time for you to get one asap.
The biggest plus for me is that it shreds several index cards at the same time.
What I seriously disliked was this sticky icky substance that was on the head and around the head of the shredder!
It was also where the handles were, where you grab the head of the shredder to lift off or replace it on to the basket.
I washed my hands and it was still there. I grab a cleaning rag and some spray Fantastic Cleaner and could not completely remove this substance. I felt violated and threaten because I could not tell what it was because it was clear but sticky like syrup!!! I would call it vandalism because there was absolutely no reason at all for it to be on this equipment.
