A handsome bin prone to finger marks.
Nice looking bin, perfect size for a family kitchen. Only gripe is as you push the lid to pop it open, you inevitably leave marks on the plastic, such as finger prints, washing up residue, food etc.. which can spoil the appearance of the black lid (if this would bother you), so needs a regular wipe. I like the fact the lid is deep so hides the bag inside. Good design and 10 year warranty so all in all, though pricey, a handsome trash guzzler.

Poubelle
Une poubelle avec une grande capacit de stockage. On avait 4 sacs poubelles livres avec la poubelle. Trs jolie design. Aucun regret.

Five Stars
Best bin I’ve ever owed <--- something a 20 year old me never thought I'd write
I initially balked at the idea of spending so much on dustbin, however after constantly replacing cheaper alternatives I figured it made sense to buy something more sturdy. I wish I had bought this sooner. The size is perfect, the lid seals shut so no bad smells and removing the bin bag once full is incredibly easy.

Brabantia toujours un peu cher mais de trs bonne qualit. Je suis juste un peu du par la couleur, plus salissant que ce que je pensais, mais cela se nettoie facileme
I moved “up” from a 30l Brabantia bin to this 60l version. I had never found the smaller bin to be too small, but, with hindsight, think I was in error. This really is a large bin, with room enough that, for my family of 3, it fills only maybe weekly. The bags appear more robust than Brabantia’s 30l bags, and the lack of an inner bin means that the bad removal is easier, meaning fewer tears (in fact none so far). The wider opening means that it is easier to sweep items into the bin without spilling on the floor, and also seems to aid bag removal by allowing contents to settle without snagging. All of this is unremarkable, it is, after all, a big bin. The surprising thing for me is how compact the bin appears, despite the evident size. It has Brabantia’s excellent finish and build quality, although feeling slightly less bullet-proof than the smaller items (there’s some flex in the large plastic lid, for example), however, there’s something intangible about the form of this that just blends into the kitchen. Not 5 stars because, well, the price, but if you can afford it, and have a family, I’d say worth the outlay.

The Magic Bin of Holding
This hulking obelisk of brushed steel is actually a portal to the trash dimension. The wide mouth accepts all manner of waste greedily, the plus-size cavity being particularly useful for emptying vacuum cleaners and dustpans with little chance of errant dust or cat little escaping to the floor. The lid opens eagerly at the slightest touch, as though this beast hungers. I previously preferred pedal bins, but the lid works so well that I don’t mind not being able to use it as easily when both hands are full – I can bump it open with my elbow. The plastic is also easy to wipe clean.
The included bags are very high quality and fit the bin as well as you’d expect: they were designed for it, after all. Regular bags can still be used with it but I may continue buying the Brabantia ones, since they’re so big that I use fewer.

This is a large capacity, top of the range kitchen bin which gleams with elegant efficiency. Its sixty litre capacity is excellent for a busy household, so that it does not need to be emptied every couple of days. The bags fit perfectly and are held in place by the lid. The touch lid works easily and positively with a pleasantly damped action. It does indeed provide an aperture wide enough for a dustpan. I also like the manually operated lid much more than a sensor operated one.
Brabantia have created a range of kitchen waste containers which are actually stylish, rather than simply being bins, and this one is no exception. It is coated with a protective lacquer to preserve its shine and the surface is easy to wipe clean. It also comes with a pack of 3 bags included, and there’s a ten year guarantee.

This super stylish bin from a starship near you will grace any kitchen with its style and panache. It is so posh looking that it puts the rest of my kitchen to shame = upgrade kitchen to match the bin!!
Its one touch opening lid is brilliant for the disposal of all kitchen waste and more and with the bags proded I might not need to make so many trips to the giant waste bin in the street. Three bags are provided but can be replaced by any large refuse sacks available in all leading superstores etc.
I admit, as does another reviewer that I had never considered the importance of the rubbish bin in the kitchen but it truly is essential for every modern lifestyle. Refuse is becoming an ecological issue for all of us
I have lived with the utterly useless Brabantia Twin Silent Pedal Bin for about 4 years now so this model, an actual, proper bin WITH SPACE was exactly what I needed. The lid opens with a light touch so there’s no pedal attracting dirt and bacteria and since it’s not split inside like the recycling twin model there’s plenty of space for household waste. Very sleek and modern and welcome in any kitchen.

BIG Bin!
I guess I really should give this bin a five star rating, but it is, after all, a bin and I like it. As long as it doesn’t bite me and looks after my rubbish I will continue to like it but I don’t think it will turn into love.
It does what it should and it’s enormous. It also looks kind of snazzy in my kitchen and it holds A LOT of rubbish. One thing to consider is just how enormous the bin really is; check the dimensions on the product description. It fits under my worktop but you do need to the space. The box that this was delivered in literally filled my car!

You can spend countless thousands on getting the ideal kitchen you always wanted; just the right fixtures and fittings, and the breakfast island you always craved. But what is that in the corner stinking up the scene? Bins are never going to be the first thing that you look for in a kitchen, but they could be the first thing people look at if they stand out for all the wrong reasons. Cheap, covered in stains and not in keeping with the rest if the room. If you are looking for a luxury kitchen, then it is important that all your kitchen furniture is of the same standard; including the bin.
Brabantia are a top range when it comes to bins, their models look great (for a bin) and have a high build quality. This continues in the ‘Brabantia Touch Bin, 60 L – Matt Steel’, another great looking bin from the brand. At 60L this is a great size to use as you main kitchen bin, it has a large capacity, but don’t be tempted to over fill it as like all bins you will end up with rubbish wedged in. At its core it is just a bin and the cost is a high one for something that is just a functional device. However, the ‘Touch Bin’ provides the form to this function that many other bins simply ignore.
The finish itself is very nice, a dulled steel silver that is easy to wipe clean and fits in with any modernist kitchen style. The lid itself is also very nice, a simple click down with your fingers allows the top to open softly — this is not a bin that you fling a t-bag at, you will need to open the lid first! The ‘Touch Bin’ comes at a cost, but it is obviously a cut above many other bins you can get on the market. It is not just a bin, but a statement that you care about the detail and that you have one klassy kitchen.
Outstanding!
This is a quality product! Very well made! And feels like it will last for years of use and even abuse!
Comes with 3 perfect fit bags, to get you started, the bin is pretty big, not suitable for a small space but if you have a big room this will look very smart!
And the touch control lid is very nice!
It’s really nice to find something so well made in this age of so much crap from china!
In the tradition of Brabantia bins, this is a fantastic, well constructed 60 litre bin.
I got this for our kitchen at work to avoid the teabags on the floor scenario. It has a matt brushed steel effect and is light but sturdy. It fits in the corner of our kitchen (see photos). The lid takes a light press to open and closes very smoothly. It comes with 3 complementary bags but larger bin sacks fit perfectly well.
The lid comes off but there is no inner removable bucket (as the Simple Human bins have). This would make cleaning a little more challenging but this has not been a problem yet.
This is a kitchen bin with a huge capacity but seems to not have the footprint that such a large bin should have.
Not much more to say. Please feel free to ask any questions if I have missed anything out.
In summary, this is a huge bin with a moderate footprint. Brushed steel appearance so nice and smart and easier to clean than a gloss finish would be. A press sensitive opening lid which can be opened with an elbow. Removable lid but no removable inner bucket.
I love this bin. It’s perfect for our needs. Recommended

Expensive but worth i
There are lots of reviews of this bin so I’m not going to write an essay, but suffice to say it is stylish, larger than average, very substantial, has a real feeling of quality about it and looks like it will last for a very long time.
The lid opening and closing action is very smooth and easy to use, and fitting new bags is simple as well.
It’s a very expensive bin compared to the plastic alternatives but as it’s quite likely you’ll never need to buy another one, I think it’s worth the cash if you can afford it.

Great bin.
Arrived very promptly. Works great. Looks good for such a big bin – big enough for local authority refuse sacs to be used.
Expensive but woth i
This bin replaces the same model albeit it in a different finish. My previous bin has lasted over six years without any issues at all, so I’d expect this to last. One point to note on the materials used, is that the handles feel a little flimsy, not a big issue, just wondering if they’ve scrimped on the plastics to keep the costs down.
The metallic finish will stain as it will more than likely be used on the kitchen, but the surface is easily wiped clean, Keeping a nice clean finish to the surface will require a bit of elbow grease, but it will be worth it to keep it looking nice.
As the bin capacity is a large 60 litres, you may find yourself only empting once or twice a week. If you’re putting food waste and other smelly refuse into it and it may sit there for a few days you could get odour in warmer weather. You may want to look at a smaller capacity bin if this is the case.
You definitely get what you pay for with Brabantia - thoroughly recommended
This is my second Brabantia bin and although they are expensive, this really is a case of getting what you pay for. My first bin is now ten years old, in daily use and still looks great, with the lid mechanism working perfectly after all that time. The matt steel finish on this new bin is sleek looking and doesn’t show finger marks as much as the shiny finish. It is very easy to keep clean, with a wipe of a cloth with a bit washing up liquid usually all that is needed. You can take the lid to pieces for a deeper clean if you need to. The lid has a light touch push button mechanism, so when you touch the front of the top, it pops up, and then clicks shut when you push it down again. There are small black handles on the side to make it easier to move around. Also included are three brabantia bin liners. I would say that it is definitely worth using these. They fit perfectly and are strong so it is a very rare occurrence that they leak or split on the way to the outside bin. At a capacity of 60 litres, this is definitely family sized bin. It probably won’t need emptying every day, but because of the well-fitting lid, you don’t need to worry about smells lurking in your kitchen. And ultimately, although this is a utility product; it’s a bin after all, it is good to know that it won’t be an eyesore in your home.
Useful and beautiful
Brabantia have somehow elevated the humble rubbish bin to a design icon and a thing of beauty. If William Morris advised people to “have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful” then the Brabantia touch bin would score on both counts. It’s beautifully designed and well made. The bin comes with a slightly stingy three bin liners, These are made to measure size – you can certainly use larger standard bin liners, and they work well enough although the tops do poke out and ruin the sleet aesthetic a bit. If there is a slight irritation with this bin, it’s that getting the full liner out can be a little tricky – but no more so than any other bin. All in all, a wonderful, premium bin. Of course you can buy cheaper bins – but if your bin is on show in your kitchen, why not make it an understated elegant design feature?
The bin is gorgeous, from every angle — please see my unboxing video.
The “brilliant steel” repels ugly fingerprint marks.
It just looks fabulous!
The opening is so gigantic that you can comfortably empty a dustpan without spilling.
You get three of those bin liners in the box to start you off. You get refills from here .
The upfront cost is big so you might think the value is questionable. You get a 10 year guarantee so if any parts break, or need replacing, you will be covered. (I’m a fan of their after-sales — they have sent me free replacement parts before – all i had to do was fill out something on their website.)

Quality rubbish.......bin.
This is not a cheap bin but the sheer size and quality help justify the price as well as the excellent customer support from Brabantia backed up by a 10 year guarantee that actually means something. The bin has a stylish look with a sleek stainless steel construction and a quality push to open, push to close mechanism with a damped lid that is a pleasure to use. I have the stainless steel finish but other colours are available to match your kitchen.
This is a big bin but the format is fairly wide and stocky which makes it easy to fill and empty. It is 400mm in diameter and 920mm when open so may struggle to fit under a standard kitchen worktop but other size and formats are available. The whole lid flips off when it’s time to change the inner bag providing excellent access. I use dedicated bags with this bin as they are strong and do not hang over the lid but because of its size it is not emptied very often and the tight fit of the lid contains any smells within the bin. No liners were supplied with the bin which was a bit disappointing however the Brabantia size H liners are available from Amazon and are strong but not too expensive.
So while this is expensive it is a stylish, well designed and quality product backed up by a reputable brand.
It’s hard to get too excited by a bin but it has to be said that this is a superior quality, well-designed, smoothly finished and sleek-looking kitchen bin of the high standard I would expect from Brabantia. It stands tall and proud and its touch-lid requires only the slightest press for it to smoothly open for rubbish disposal then it clicks back into place keeping any unpleasant odours locked inside.
Rubbish removal is simple – lift off the lid, close the draw-ties on the bin liner, lift it out and dispose of with domestic rubbish. Three liners are supplied with the bin and replacement liners are readily available – they’re not the cheapest but, being designed specifically for the bin, they fit perfectly and there are no leaks.
Overall, this is the perfect kitchen bin which will look smart in any kitchen.
Best bin on the marke
100 is a lot for a bin. It’s just a bin, right? Well not really as if you have a spent a small fortune on a new kitchen you will want a bin that is super high quality, looks amazing and is made to the highest standards. You will not get better than this bin.
The bin replaces an existing 60 litre Brabantia bin which I have had for 8 years and is still as good as it was when new (I have handed it to my parents who were overjoyed).
We have a gloss white kitchen with steel appliances and so the bin fits right in. It is made of strong metal but is also fairly light. The bags fit in well (see below) and they are hidden from view because they are tucked under the lid.
If I have one niggle the lid can be loud when closing it if you have a heavy handed teenager, but in normal use it is pretty much silent.
Not much else to add, I just love this bin (I have a similar smaller version in my bathroom, again with specific bags).
How did I know I’ve had the old one 8 years? I looked at my Amazon orders and I have been buying the Brabantia H bags for all of that time. Yes, they are more expensive than regular bags but they are super strong, fit the 60 litre bin exactly and are designed to pull out without any trouble. I find I can order a pack of 30 bags once a year and they will last a year for a family of 4 (we recycle a lot of stuff so only use a bin bag a fortnight). So really 9 for a year’s supply of tough bags is perfectly ok.
Overall a fantastic bin which is not cheap but is outstanding value for money when you think it will last 10 years or more.
Ok this is my 4th large kitchen sized Brabantia bin. I willingly got my first as an Anniversary present after being seduced by glossy adverts for their sensor lid bin. Probably the less said about that the better as they don’t make them anymore and the flap got sent back for repair pretty quickly and then when it broke again I bought this style Brabantia.
Good points:
It looks the Bees knees. Definitely the beauty contest winner in the bin world at a price.
Low maintenance. You just have to wave a wet rag up/down it. You can detach the lid for a deep clean (also this is handy for sending broken lids back under the 10 year warranty).
This shape is hugely superior to the flat backed versions as you can fit more rubbish in and not have to layer your rubbish like a Krypton factor puzzle.
The push open, push close lid is much more practical in a kitchen with pets and small children than the foot pedal type. Less trapped fingers and trying to find the lever under a pile of dogs.
The lid has been updated from my past two purchases of this shape bin. The lid flap is now bigger and at a steeper angle so easier to throw things in.
Bad points are:
You can over fill it which can make emptying it messy. If you have teenager members of your household it will be guaranteed they will compactly squash things in so you can’t tie the lid of the bin bags. If this is an issue get one of the flat backed ones which you can only fill the bin bag half full.
You get a vacuum trying to pull out your 60l, possibly several kilogram full bin bag. You will have to master a Kung foo type foot hold on the bottom of the bin while pulling the bag upwards with all your strength. And usually having to try to tip the whole thing upside down to fit into a new binbag as you can’t seal the top of your original one. Brabantia do have a solution for this – an inner solid plastic liner with holes in. They just haven’t put it in this version bin.
In my experience these bins dent from the inside over time which does detract from the look of your bin over time. You may find yourself replacing the bin for aesthetic reasons within the 10 year warranty period making it less of a bargain.
