Ironing Board Cover
Pressurised steam generators deliver faster ironing results using high pressure steam, but when used with a regular ironing board they can cause condensation to form on the board when the water cools. This can lead to unwanted water building up underneath the board or on the garment itself and over time this can cause the cover to become mouldy.
Created in partnership with Philips, the PerfectFlow ironing board cover has been developed to meet the challenges presented by high pressure steam.
Condensation Locked Inside
The second layer is made from material which absorbs any remaining condensation, while the third and final water-proof layer locks it all inside. Due to the breathability of this construction, any captured water evaporates by itself.

The first porous layer is made of a special 3D textile designed to improve steam flow by spreading the steam over a larger surface to deliver faster and smoother ironing while simultaneously preventing water build-up.
Ergonomic Frame with a Large Work Surface
At 124 x 45 cm, this metallic grey frame provides a large and stable work area making ironing large laundry items, such as table cloths and sheets, much easier.
The frame also features a choice of seven different positions allowing you to pick the optimal work height, from 69 to 96 cm and even includes a child safety lock to ensure that the table cannot collapse accidentally while in use.
The solid steam iron rest is suitable for left or right-handed use and is designed to hold most large pressurised steam units and steam irons.
When you’ve finished with the board, it folds away as easily as it goes up and has been designed to be stored in a utility cupboard with a locking clip to ensure that the board remains closed until you want to use it next.

If you like your ironing table large and strong, then this id the one for you. Brabantia makes quality products and they are backed up by a 10 year guarantee. I’ve downloaded my Amazon invoice as proof of purchase, but hopefully I wont need it.

Ein stabiler Bgeltisch der enorm viel Flche bietet. Auch die Ablage fr die Station ist stabil und grozgig! Kein Wackeln, kein knacken.
Klasse ist die Hhe des Bgelbrett, welche man super einstellen kann.
Der Bezug ist mal richtig Super! Mehrere Schichten und wirklich hoch Qualitt! Kein dnner Misst, wo man beim Bgeln Abdrcke auf den Klamotten bekommt.. Hier hat man eindeutig nicht gespart.
Dennoch finde ich den Preis ein klein wenig zu hoch, fr 15 Euro weniger wre es angemessen…

Great Size
Great size and very sturdy. The only downside is that the platform for standing the iron is made from metal whereas previous models were plastic. The fact it’s metal usually results in it rusting due to the steam from the iron quite quickly. Only time will tell if this is the case though.
Great ironing board
I have been impressed by the large ironing surface which helps get through bedding and linens really quickly. My previous ironing board used to get soaked through using a steam generator iron. This steam control cover is effectively diverting steam to help remove creases and to hold condensed droplets in the core. I have only given four stars for the ‘lightweight’ category but it is sturdy and robust enough to hold a 2.5 litre steam generator iron with complete stability. All in all an excellent product. Pity I didn’t get the one I ordered from Amazon. The board I ordered ‘disappeared’ in transit after leaving the delivery depot. I bought this one from John Lewis. It arrived the next day. Thank you for the refund.

Bin zufrieden mit dem Bgelbrett. Es steht fest, meine Dampfstation von Tefal passt auf die Ablage. Durch die breite Bgelflche geht das Bgeln schnell. ber die Haltbarkeit kann ich noch nix sagen, da ich es erst kurze Zeit benutze, aber es macht einen stabilen Eindruck, auch die Ablage .
Sturdy, reliable, good quality and a very good ironing board cover. Cover can get too wet.
. This ironing board is fairly easy to fold out and fold away. I like the tray for a steam generator iron. The cover is very good at preventing condensation underneath. The cover lets steam pass through. After an hour of ironing the cover does get wet at the end and if left wet it could start to go mouldy. Therefore I prefer to iron little and often rather a long session but seldom. Also, the technology inside Philips steam generator irons needs a fairly dry ironing board cover to function well. I found that water comes out of the sole plate when the cover becomes too wet. The cover is designed in cooperation with Philips. This is a really good quality ironing board and one of the best available.
Sobre todo resaltar lo estable que es y que tiene mucho espacio de trabajo. El soporte para el centro de vapor tambin est muy bien: metlico y resistente. Por decir algunas cosas que yo mejorara: una bandeja inferior para dejar cosas. Para dejar la mini tabla para mangas, lo he suplido con los ganchos que tiene la tabla por debajo para regular la altura. De ah la he colgado. Ruedas no tiene, pero en mi caso no es molestia porque la dejo siempre abierta y preparada, no la pliego y la guardo en ningn armario.
La funda que trae ya viene puesta. Est muy bien, la ropa se desliza sin problema y no he visto que gotee nada. Tampoco me hace arrugas. En la etiqueta de la plancha viene una muestra de la composicin por capas de la funda. Es curioso cmo est hecha la parte mullida, como con celdas en 3D.
Por ltimo, tambin mejorara que la parte final de la tabla fuese ms estrecha an, un poco ms afilada porque, como la tabla que he escogido es el tamao ms ancho, algunas prendas no entran bien. De hecho, a veces me pregunto si no hubiera hecho bien en comprar el tamao inferior, el de 38 cm si no recuerdo mal. Claro que para sbanas encimeras, toallas y manteles es perfecta as.
Como sugerencia extra pedira que incorporase algn sistema para elevar el “cable” y que no arrugue la ropa. Ya le he puesto un chisme que tena de la otra plancha pero no es tan fuerte como necesitan estos cables tan gruesos de los centros de vapor y tampoco se sujeta bien el cable por lo que digo que son mucho ms gruesos y no entra por el soporte. Con celo lo he sujetado pero sera perfecto que viniese de serie con el tamao y la resistencia adecuados.
Sturdy with large rest for steam generator uni
I was looking for a sturdy ironing board with a large solid rest for my steam generator, this ticked all my boxes perfectly, slightly heavier than my old one but easy to manoeuvre. I have a morphy richards steam generator which fits on with plenty of room to spare, board is very stable,have been looking for one like this for a while, cost just under 85. Which I feel is very reasonable and price has been reduced from 130, I don’t mind paying for quality and it seems like it should last well. Very impressed.

Well made, substantial and totally effective
This is an extraordinary ironing board. Having had to return a Leifheit, which was far lighter but also wobbled and dripped from excessive condensation, this board is far better in every way. It’s how an ironing board should be made.
It might seem a lot of money to pay. It isn’t. It’s a substantial item and worth every penny in terms of safety and comfort, if you are using a steam generator.

Steady ironing board but poorly packed
I bought this board for my new cordless iron because of the flat iron rest, however I am a bit disappointed since the rest is uneven and it is not very easy to place the dock and the iron there steadily. The board itself is sturdy and, due to its large size, great for ironing larger items e.g. fabric for sewing. The board is of good quality. Unfortunately it was not packed to anything else but to a thin plastic wrap which was torn during shipping/delivery and there were lots of small damage. The courier apologized for that but there is really nothing the delivery companies can do to poor packaging.

This is generally a really good ironing board with enough height for me (I’m 6’4″). My only criticism is that the cover wrinkled on first use. Maybe it was my ironing style, but having tightened the cover up, it seems to better now. Not completely crease free, but manageable.

My 2nd Brabantia ironing board after loosing my previous one in a break up. The last one I had for 10 years and still working fine. Never even had to change the cover. Went for the same one again because even though they’re a bit more expensive than other ironing boards, I do feel like they wear the best. Nice and high too which is good for taller people. Big size board too makes it quicker and good for ironing sheets and linen. They are heavy though.

PACKAGING NEEDS REVIEWING.
Very pleased with this product but it was damaged in transit. The flimsy cellophane was ripped and consequently the white metal top on the board was scratched and scuffed, see photo.. I am not returning as it’s just too much trouble. However, a piece of cardboard covering this metal top area would eliminate this happening. Elementary one would have thought. A lot of money to pay for imperfect goods. On a positive note the width of the board is excellent for doing bed linen and a very sturdy item overall.

Amazing product and great for using with a steam generator iron as the metal flatbed is the proper size for a large iron.
Very easy to put up and take down.
We had an ironing board slot and when it arrived it was a bit too long to go in the slot so we took the rubbers off and cut an inch off all four legs and put the rubbers back on using a bit of washing up liquid as lubrication.
Ironing is so much easier with the larger board especially doing fitted elasticated sheets as you can put the edge between the board and metal base and do a large area so much quicker.

Brabantia Ironing Board
It wasn’t cheap as ironing boards go but the quality is very good and it’s easy to store. At first I kept forgetting that the legs locked into a slot and had difficulty opening it but it’s great I store it at the side of the wardrobe out of sight. Really happy with it.
Arrived quickly, unfortunately it didn’t stand up straight. Obviously received a bash somewhere. I dismantled it and straighten some of the brackets. This was simpler than sending it back.

Sturdy wide Ironing Board
My previous ironing board kept collapsing and with a steam generator on top this was quite a hazard. This Brabantia seems sturdy and has a nice wide board. The only problem I seem to have had is that there is a gap between the ironing part and the base for the steam generator and the cord from the iron gets trapped between it quite easily.
The other bonus is that it fits in my cupboard when folded up and has a catch to secure.

Dieser Bgeltisch hat einen guten, festen Stand. Er lies sich leicht aus der Verpackung entfernen und kam unbeschadet an. Die groe Ablageflche aus Metal fr die Bgelstation hat mich in ihrer Qualitt und Robustheit beeindruckt. Sehr belastbar auch fr schwerere Bgelstationen gut geeignet. Auch nach lngerem Bgeln tropft nichts. Die Arbeitshhe lsst sich sehr leicht einstellen, sehr gut geeignet fr groe Menschen und beim Zusammenklappen wird das Brett nochmal extra verriegelt.
Gesamturteil: Tolles Bgelbrett was seinen Preis wert ist und mir hoffentlich noch viel Freude bereiten wird. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!
Ironing board
On the whole very happy with this ironing board. It is wide so will be good for ironing sheets and duvet covers. It is well made so ought to be durable. I was able to follow the instructions regarding opening and closing the board. The only minor problem was that I have noticed a very tiny rip on the board cover. However I think this was more about the packaging and delivery than the manufacture of the actual board.

I ordered this ironing board as the one I was using gave me back ache. Im 6ft tall and at its highest setting its ideal for me. In fact my wife who is 5’8″ also uses it at that height and it takes the stain out of ironing. Being higher and wider it handles King sized sheets well when folded in half. Pointed end great for shirt shoulders. Our Philips steam generator iron fits perfectly into the area provided. I would have given it 5* but although the felt below the ironing surface is adequate after a long ironing session droplets of water form on the metal surfaces below. In time this may cause rusting if the metal hasn’t been adequately treated, only time will tell. I intend to place a further layer of felt on the board to help prevent this happening. Over all like steam iron generators I don’t know how Ive survived this long without a higher better quality ironing board

My old ironing board was quite small and I always had difficulty getting covers to fit it. This is a really nice board: it isn’t too big either. The cover is well padded and it has a safety lock. I like the iron rest too. It’s a nice looking board and makes ironing more enjoyable. I noticed on some reviews of other ironing boards that they were damaged when delivered. This was due to insufficient packaging. This board arrived in a huge box, with plenty of paper around it. So no damage was done.
Great purchase - great quality for the price
Struggled for a while with a basic ironing board and this step up makes a huge difference. Solid, sturdy, easy to put up and down. Not sure what else I’d want from it except someone to do my ironing.
Our board was delivered in under 24 hours thanks to Amazon Prime. It was very well wrapped and protected and arrived in seemingly perfect condition. My wife stood it up to check it out, when without warning the top tipped over towards her, IF there had been a hot iron in the rest, it would likely have fallen, and God forbid, burnt her!! Turning the board upside down, I could see that the end of the steel rod that secures the legs to the frame had completely come out of it’s housing on one side. The reason for this, being that the black plastic Child & Transport Lock also serves to keep the “fixed legs” top in position, (Please see my photos of how it should look, one of Amazon’s photos also shows the positioning of this fitting). There is a white painted metal rod that secures the leg top to the board, it is IMPORTANT that it protrudes through it’s holding bars on BOTH SIDES ( it’s because ours came out on one side that our board collapsed). The plastic Child & transport Lock simply clips onto the rod on/near each end and holds it firmly in place. NOTE. It barely took me a minute to position the fitting over the bar, you then need to give it a thump with the side of your fist to secure it at each end as it’s purposely a tight fit, do NOT be tempted into using a hammer!! The ironing board is then 100% safe and I would expect it to last for many years. The only reason we had this problem is because the fitting had not been properly secured when assembled in their factory. (Whatever happened to Quality Control”) I do wonder if this has been the cause of any of the “wobberly legs” that some reviewers have had? Having done this minor fixing job I would now consider this board to be a 5 star rating.

A very well designed ironing board!
I bought this on ‘Black Friday’ and paid a discounted price which made in very good value for money. The height adjustment works well as does the lever to make the assembly fold flat to the floor when you have finished ironing. The rest for the iron is very functional.
L’ho acquistata da poco quindi non saprei dire sul lungo utilizzo, ma per ora sono molto soddisfatta. E’ un’asse bella grande, ma riposta non ingombra molto di pi rispetto a misure pi piccole. Riesco a stirare in comodit, non rimane “trama” sui vestiti e soprattutto non gocciola. E’ solida, con diverse regolazioni in altezza e con uno bello spazio per la caldaia. Decisamente un buon acquisto, avrei dovuto farlo prima.

This is a really sturdy & easy to use ironing board, it feels like it will last the test of time, & being made by Brabantia I am fully confident it will – we have had one of their kitchen bins for over a decade now and its still going strong!
The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that the ‘feet’ on the legs are wider than the board itself – which has proved to be an issue in storing it in our boiler cupboard. This was not clear on the dimensions of the product, but doesnt affect the use of it 🙂
It’s huge! Thank heavens I chose the medium sized board. It is larger than any board I’ve ever had before. It seems to have been designed for left handed people in that the release to lower the board for storage is at the back for right handed use. It is really strong, adjusts to a really good height (up) but unfortunately comes wrapped in cling film only thus the metal steam generator support arrived with scratches. Not worth requesting a replacement since I cannot see how it will travel any better.All in all a great board which reduces ironing time but awkward and needs extra protection for transport.
Nice Ironing Board
I love this new ironing board, it is sturdy, robust and my steam generator fits properly on the stand. The size of the board allows you to work through the ironing at a faster speed, due to the sheer size. If you had baby clothes you may find it a bit awkward though. I struggle still assembling it and dismantling it slightly, I think this is because it is so big and I am only 5″2.
Huge ironing board!!!
Fantastic ironing board. It is very big but totally fine for our family to use. It is great value and I would recommend it especially if you have room to leave it up for ease of use.
Solid and heavy. Cover not tight and seems to be adjusted to max tension. Customer service is good at Brabantia. With a powerful steam generator the water collects underneath and drips on floor. This is why this is so cheap compared to other places. It is the older design. The new covers are twice as thick and designed to stop the dripping. It’s nice to use.
I am fan or Barbantia ironing board and the reason is they can even make bad/ Old Iron give outstanding results. As much as I hate Ironing I end up doing most of the ironing at home and I was surprised the difference good ironing board make to time it takes to iron and quality of ironing. Highly recommend. If you have space get one size bigger than size B as it is ideal for adults shirts as well as kids clothes
Absolutely LOVE my new ironing board! I’m 5’10” so most boards are not quite tall enough but this one is just perfect for me, also easy to place at lower height for my daughter (when I can get her to help out lol!)
It is expensive hence why I’ve probably not invested before but having used one in a holiday let I witnessed first hand just how sturdy this bit of kit is…10year guarantee can’t be bad either! So far definitely worth the investment…big thumbs up from me!
Brilliant ironing board
The best ironing board I’ve ever bought. It’s so much easier to iron on a large surface like this and the separate stand for my steam iron is at just the right height. I’ve had a few friends buy one after seeing mine.
I took a ridiculous amount of time deciding on which new ironing board to buy after my last one broke. I eventually went for this one and it’s fine. It’s a good size, not too big or too small, decent padding and it’s easy to put up and down. It squeezes between my fridge and cupboard out of the way. All good so far.

Best board for steam generators
Large sturdy platform to hold the steam generator comfortably. The locking system is secure and there is no danger of it collapsing due to the way it locks in place. The cover is excellent, enough firmness and softness for a easy iron and a wide board to make ironing shirts and bed sheets a breeze.

Usuall high standard
As you’d expect This is to the usual high standard that Brabantia deliver every time. Worth the little extra to get a long lasting product.
Only comment on these ironing boards is the weight. They are quite heavy which means it may not be as suitable if you are buying for an elderly parent.
Great ironing board!
Bigger than I anticipated!! My old board was over 30 years old and quite a lot smaller! It takes some getting used to but easy to put up and take down and lots more space on the board so not as many folds on your duvet cover! Overall a great board – sturdy and easily stored.

Brabantia certainly take their ironing boards seriously. Who would have thought so many features could be built into something like this? It’s an excellent ironing board! Granted it’s quite expensive for something where there are plenty of alternatives for less than half the price. However, as with so many things, you really do get what you pay for. The build quality couldn’t be better and there really are no water droplets on the floor even when using the heavy duty steam generator iron for quite a long time. The cover is so good that it even speeds up the time it takes to do the ironing and that’s something which I didn’t expect. If you have a steam generator iron and are looking for a new ironing board, you should look no further.

An excellent ironing board, good quality and very sturdy. The board is quite heavy but is easy to put up. I like the fact that when folded the legs click into a holder and stay in place when moving the board. The height is adjustable and the board surface is wide making bedding etc easy to iron. I usually hate ironing but with board I look forward to using it!!!! Well done Brabantia.

The legs clip securely into the board when collapsed, so no sudden decision to hurtle across the kitchen like my previous board as it suddenly decided to imitate an unbroken horse!
The ratchet mechanism to adjust height is easy to control and therefore quiet.
The stand section is big enough for a steam base unit, though there is a hose sized gap between it and the board proper this is not big enough to cause problems.
It could be better packed – it arrived just in plastic film with no protection from bumps and scrapes in transit.

Best ironing board I've ever owned!
I know it’s sad when you can get excited about an ironing board, and probably tells me I need to get out more, but this really is the best ironing board I’ve ever owned! It feels incredibly sturdy and well made and the large surface area is fantastic with just the right amount of softness. The legs lock safely into place when it’s closed and it’s not too heavy. I bought it after buying a steam generator iron and deciding I needed the extra space to balance the iron, which it does perfectly. It’s not a cheap board but definitely worth the money.
Good board but the metal rest is tiny!
The ironing board and the cover are good quality. The foam is thick and the board is sturdy. However the rest for the iron is very small and my iron would fall off if I put it on there.
I love this ironing board. It is height adjustable and the cover is quite thick, so although the base is a mesh, there is no hint of this when you are ironing your clothes. My previous ironing board gave my clothes a criss cross pattern because the cover was too thin, but this is perfect. So pleased.

A reasonably nice item, maybe not the best ever design though. The bit where the iron sits is not the best design and the handle for adjusting the height of the ironing board is a bit stiff. Once up, it is sturdy and works fine.
As much as it is possible to love an ironing board I love this one.
It is large.
I like to iron sheets and duvets and so size does matter.
It is sturdy and holds my steam generator iron firmly and securely.
It is adjustable in height and just has that real quality Brabantia feel to it.

This is the best ironing board you could ever ask for!! I have been ironing yesterday for 5 non-stop hours after moving house and the table didn’t have a drop of water anywhere near it,not wet or damp at all… ….the product is absolutely amazing,not the cheapest one,but worth every penny… very wide,very sturdy and the ironing is very quick…would definetely recommend …
Fantastic ironing board
I wasn’t sure what to expect after reading a variety of reviews but I have to say I am delighted with this ironing board. I have never had problems with puddles on the floor because I use a standard steam iron which does the job well. I don’t think puddles on the floor can be the fault of the ironing board but must be from badly leaking irons, however this is just my thoughts on it. This is a fantastic ironing board and is extremely stable. I was particularly pleased with how low the board can come down because I have disabilities and have to sit whilst ironing, it is perfect for me. At the same time my husband, who is six foot tall can easily set it up for his standing height too. This is the best board I have ever owned and, because it is so wide, makes ironing so much easier for me.
Great quality but a little heavy
Very sturdy heavy duty ironing board. Easy to open and close. A bit on the heavy side but wanted something broader and longer for ironing sheets. Will probably have to buy one of those long slim boards to do shirts as the pointed end is a lot wider than my old board.
To me, 50 for an ironing board is ridiculous, however you do get what you pay for. Ironing just got a whole lot easier with this board. Worth the money despite my griping over the price. Sturdy, doesn’t feel like it will collapse in the middle of ironing, the ironing board cover is high quality and helps the iron glide over clothes with great ease.
Great ironing table I have had a previous brabantia irony board which was very heavy so it had to go . Folded it is quite tall so if headroom in your cupboard is limited you have to get it out sideways as I have to do as it’s under the stairs but having given what I have said it’s a great ironing board and would certainly but anothe

The board itself is well made but maybe not was strong as it could be, it’s a nice tool for irioning make no mistake. Mine had a very hard journey and arrived damaged but was professionally handled by Amazon with a happy outcome.
Ironing no problem on this
It’s a sturdy iron board I am no fan of ironing but dont mind on this perfect it’s adjustable for height and nice and compact so can use in a small place easy to store to. Abit expensive for what it is reason of the four stars
I can’t get overly excited about an ironing board, but this one turns out to be rock solid with no wobbles and has plenty of height adjustment, which is handy. The steam iron rest that flips up is a really good idea and prevents the iron from steaming and dripping water by securely holding it at an angle. The surface is padded enough to prevent the pattern of the metal board coming through on thin items.
The ironing board in itself is a good item, I found it very stable and sturdy and I was able to iron my shirts quite quickly on it. I haven’t found it wobbly at all as some of the other reviewers mentioned. The iron holder is perfect for my iron. I have purchased other Brabantia items and I am generally very satisfied with them.
The only issue was with the packaging – there was a scratch on the cover and unfortunately it left a light scratch on the foam cover itself (approx 2 cm in length – not deep but visible).
Honestly it would be more hassle than anything to return the item for this, but still… It is also difficult for me to say if it’s an issue with Brabantia or with the way the item was handled in transit.

The board isn’t very heavy but heavy enough to stay in place and not wobble. Easy to install – just pull the legs from the clamps and adjust height to your preference.
Ironing surface quite generous with a nice design and the padding is thick and creaseless – feels premium (but I guess you do pay for this..)
I wish it had a lead holder like I’ve seen on other models.

Much better than its predecessor, doesn’t wobble, folds up nicely, nice thick cover, looks quite cool. Not the cheapest but worth the extra in my opinion.
Mit der Anschaffung einer Dampfbgelstation kam auch der Wunsch auf unser altes Bgelbrett zu ersetzen. Die Wahl fiel auf das Brabantia das fr mich ein angemessenes Preis Leistungsverhltinis versprach. Wir wurden nicht enttuscht: das Bgelbrett steht stabil, die Dampfbgelstation (AEG) hat ausreichend Platz, sehr gute Hhenverstellung (auch fr knapp 2m Menschen ausreichend hoch) und es tropft nichts mehr auf den Boden. Kaufempfehlung
No drips on floor.
No water on floor so far, although I’ve only used it 3 times. The surface starts to get a bit damp after an hour, so it’s time to stop ironing then.
The board is extra-wide, rather than just wide, so do check that you have space for it.

Buyer beware
Unfortunately the item delivered was damaged and is unusable. We did not open the package until after the return window and can’t seem to be able to return it. A disappointing experience given the price of this iron board. Post-script: Contacted Brabantia directly and they replaced it. Now all is fine. It is a great ironing board.

Excellent, best ironing board I have ever had. Love the big size, makes ironing larger items so much easier. Very sturdy and does not wobble, large plate for standing a steam generator iron that securely holds my unit.

Very very happy with this ironing board. My Philips steam generator iron fit securely on the platform. I have not found any of the faults mentioned in previous reviews, I think that they must have improved it since it was first released.
The only slight negative is that the cord of the iron occasionally gets caught in the gap between the ironing surface and the generator holding platform, but that is being ultra picky and would not stop me giving 5*. This is a brilliant ironing board and I highly recommend it.

I am writing this after 8 months of use.
My wife has always used a big board but it gave up the ghost after many years of use.
After much research Jackie always found something wrong with all the boards she saw.
Then we came across this one, it’s perfect for her.
Its very well built unlike other reviews not wobbly at all, and a fair price. only my thoughts, but will probably last for years ( time will tell )
And a fair price to boot.

Size B bought. Very easy to put up and down and less heavy than I expected which is good. I haven’t bought an ironing board for donkeys years and spent ages trying to decide what to get as our last one belonged to the house we were renting. I remembered problems with wobbly legs and uneven feet and the negative reviews for the brabantia ironing boards put me off. I remembered finding ironing boards to large, heavy and cumbersome and once having a slightly smaller lightweight one but couldn’t find anything similar. I also hated all the flowery covers! In the end I bought a wood one for about 60 from Amazon, which had good reviews and a plain calico cover. Hated it and sent it back – it was far too big, heavy and cumbersome. So I finally decided on a B sized Brabantia with the iron rest as shown on the photo (didn’t fancy the flip up one as it’s likely to break). I was half expecting to have to return it for a size A if it was too heavy (I don’t do heavy ironing boards – life is too short). I wouldn’t describe it as light but it’s not nearly as heavy as I thought it might be and is quite manageable. Ideally if you keep it near where you will use it, weight isn’t an issue as it’s so easy to put up and take down. If I was having to move it to another room regularly I would go for the smaller size A one.
So I didn’t buy it from Amazon, but from John Lewis – they had a passable non-flowery cover version with small coloured leaves in a geometric pattern and mainly white (Pauline is the pattern) which I can live with. Mine arrived perfectly stable and no wobbly legs. So if you get one that isn’t – send it back for a replacement. I assume any uneven feet are caused by damage during delivery or bad storage at a depot or something.
I am very happy with it – I don’t need a really big ironing surface, and would probably have managed fine with the size A, but it’s nice to have a reasonable size ironing surface for the few times I need it for curtains etc. Plus the size A has very few colour options – although I suppose if you didn’t like the colour you could get a new brabantia cover – I think they sell them in the plain calico colour. I’d describe the size as “bog standard ironing board size”. Some of the wider ones look scary!

GOOD PRODUCT. Sturdy, very good length x width ironing table and ideal for supporting the latest, large steam generator irons.
One small observation. The four legs have a plastic boot on each foot to make floor contact. Not a dramatic issue, but as the plastic is a little brittle, my first board delivery had damage to one boot, through lack of protection during transit. Amazon replaced by return.

Love this ironing board
Love this ironing board, large working area and the rest for the steam generator is brilliant. Folding mechanism is very easy and the clips to fasten the legs when folded are very secure. Highly recommended product. Perhaps the only problem would be for customers with babies or very small children as it would be fiddly to iron small items over the end of this large board – this however no longer applies to me!

Replaced an old one (15+years), which didn’t need replacing but thought why not. I have a Tefal steam iron (180) and I do prefer not to put the whole steam iron on my ironing board for that reason opted for this version of the ironing board. Does the job and comes with the ironing board cover ties, but you do need extra for tightness.
Luxury for ironing
Fantastic, luxury to iron on, only downside is I have to stretch to reach the end as my arms are not long enough, I am 5ft 3. Wire gets caught sometimes in the gap where the iron tray which can be annoying otherwise would of given 5 stars. Easy to put up and down.
Impressive and massive.
Very good ironing board with plenty of space for your ironing. The iron rest can withstand a boiler one at ease. The feet are soft and non-marking. The opening/closing mechanism although simple, works as intended.
Do be aware that if you go with size C, this is a massive board, much larger than your average one.
With a 10 year warranty on it, you can rest assured that it will last you for a long time before even considering replacing it.
