A great Relax
Really good for what we wanted. Putting it together was a two handed job and very hard to stretch on to frame but this does give it strength and stability.
Fair for the price
Awesome for the price, it is quite huge, could fit 2 people. It is actually possible to assemble it without getting any additional carabines, you just need to put the hammock on the frame before locking it. Wasn’t extra easy to do but then I am not very strong so it’s definitely doable for an average adult person. My only complaint is, the hammock itself is >very< swingy because of the metal connection, so you can only lie down on it, it's very hard to sit on.
Worth the risk!
Brill hammock, portable and cheap as chips.
Marvellous!
It was reduced as Amazon said it had something wrong with it, so I took a chance. It was missing a tiny little grubscrew which was not really important. Well worth taking the chance (it was half the normal price) this time. Very very happy indeed….
Great item
The hammock and stand are great. Took a few minutes to work out how to assemble it and a little bit of muscle to pull the hammock to the stand but otherwise great. Easy to get in and out of. Top quality and highly recommended.
Need to really stretch the hammock to get it on the stand
I bought this for my son…he said it was amazing…easy to put together…except for the hammock bit which he did say was quite a challenge to hook it onto the stand as it was quite a stretch…but he managed in the end.
Worth i
So comfortable and easy to setup. Being foldable makes it easy on storage. Only downside I’d imagine going forward may be the stitching tearing but time will tell. Worth the purchase either way. Especially during lockdown.
Sturdy; comfortable; easy to put up and take dow
Really well made. Takes my hefty weight no problem (110kg+ ). Easy to set up and take down. Light in weight. So good, bought my son and son-in-law one each (wives were not so enthused!!)
Ordered on Christmas day and was with me on the 28th of December, putting it up us no more difficult than assembling one of those raised camp beds using canvas and the metal bars, the plastic end caps got a little in the way so that’s why only 4 stars, the hammock it self takes a little brute force to get on the hooks but once on and you have got on it feels very stable and safe, held me no problem and I’m around 18 and a half stone at the moment, once I have used it a bit more I will put a updateed review and post on YouTube, but so far I would recommend it.
Easter Saturday April 2020 we are in lockdown.. I have my Hammock out for the first time this year. Its still going strong.Seriously was a good buy.
Looks like it got abit damp in shed during winter so a touch of black.I will spray it later see if Goes.( my problem not supplier:)
Am now into the second year of this Hammock.I love it.Currently lying in garden writing this report.
Very easy to assemble..takes 1 person.Just have to stretch abit to hook the bed on but you would expect that.
It is a little heavy to carry around but as I only have to bring it out of the shed to the lawn it’s fine.
Whilst I agree the chain holding g the pins are not very good I have not had any other problems.Stitching all fine.
I take a garden cane with me so I can push and doze away gently swinging…excellent.
Another year 2018, and I have my hammock out again. It certainly gas prooved to be durable.Great purchase.
Very good
Came as advertised, a bit heavy but solid (i am a big man). stringning the canvass across the unit was very tight. At first I thought it was the wrong one, but after A while I went for it an but a bit of wellie behind it and it eventually hooked on. Now it is stretched a little it goes together very well. A quick pop up and comfy alternative to an air bed……Folds up neat and nice tidy carry bag
like other people have already said it is low
It is true, like other people have already said it is low, but I have tried it and it is off the ground, off the ground enough to be pleasant. It is also true the mat to lye on is very difficult if at all possible to put in place but you could add some chain links and it would work; I have used some we bought in Ecuador and although they are a bit too long I have been able to adapt them and work fabulously.
Another positive is that it is very light and you can take it with you in its bag as a back pack! it’s great, we will be taking it when we go camping.
We both squashed in it and it was fun!
It was easy to set up although it needed man power to put the pins in place! Very happy with it.
Once it’s up, it deserves five stars but it’s so tricky to put together on the first occasion. I found that two of the holes didn’t quite line up so I ruined one of my jeweller’s files sorting that out. I also needed to place one end under a heavy arm chair and lean back on the base to get the pins in, once the canvas was on (which, as already stated, is a much better way of doing it than trying to stretch the canvas between the two ends). It’s certainly the best birthday gift I’ve given my son in years. I’d recommend but be prepared for some hard work and that it might not be everyone’s idea of ‘portable’.
Six foot six, Three hundred pounds. Loads of room, didn’t even bend. Enough said, I reckon. Except maybe that the flimsy chains holding the pins to the legs snapped in the bag, so the pins are prone to getting lost.
It’s hard to get the canvas on the first couple of times. Protip: It’s much easier to put the canvas on before you unfold it to its full length and put the pins in.
Brilliant!
Love it! Hard work to put up on the first attempt – needs 2 people, but fine after that as it seems to give a bit. Just in time to enjoy the sunshine.
Long to keep confortable a person of 1.90cm tall.
Just in 5 minutes it’s out of the bag and ready to enjoy, practical to store during the winter.
Strong construction materials
I had to pay another 44 British pound in order to have it delivered in Greece but it worth it!
Very pleased with this purchase. Once I had figured out how to put it up it really easy to assemble. Found it very comfortable and easy to move around the garden. Would recommend this Hammock to others.
Very easy to put up and down once you’ve done it a couple of times (the hammock can be a bit stiff to stretch across the first few times), comfy and not too big to transport around. The carry bag has shoulder straps too!
Have been after a quality folding hammock for some time now, and eventually decided on this one. Excellent choice!
The frame is incredibly easy to set up in a matter of minutes. The hammock part is made of strong canvas and is a little difficult to attach to the frame initially, as it is very taut when fastened. There’s just a bit of a knack you soon get used to, in twisting the hook on the frame to get the hammock on, then returning it to the ‘up’ position when you’re ready to try it out.
It’s very strong, I’m 6′ and 95kg and it supports my weight easily, and there’s plenty of room to stretch out. It also keeps you suspended well clear of the ground, so there’s no chance of your rear dragging!
It comes in a good quality canvas carrying case with shoulder straps, though is fairly heavy and I wouldn’t fancy carrying it any distance. Fantastic for the garden, which is what I wanted, and quick and easy to pack away. Couldn’t be more pleased!
