It is on the expensive side, but it works well and cools my entire tiny flat really well.

This has been a Godsend during the really hot weather, it produces a LOT of cold air. We have moved it around and it works well everywhere….. except a bedroom. My only complaint would be that the quiet mode isn’t quiet at all. There is very little difference between this and the normal low setting. My wish list would be two things. A night time mode that produces a LOT less noise and obviously less cooling output, (I could live with that.) Secondly, I would like to be able to angle the airflow from the unit. The output fins are fixed and point almost straight upwards. I can’t think why they have done this, but there must be a reason I suppose?
The best way we find to use it is to have it running in the kitchen or hallway and leave the door half open. It produces so much cold air that you can feel it coming into the living room after a few minutes.
The output hose is a great idea, it can be pushed down to about half a metre when you want to store it, then it simply springs open to whatever length you need by pulling it apart. There is also a drain hose included, but you don’t need it when it is running, it is included to make sure that it is totally empty for storage at the end of the hot season.
The unit looks nice and it has a modern feel to it, it doesn’t look out of place in the house unlike some other makes. I would definitely recommend it, the cooling is fantastic, it’s just a pity it wasn’t a bit quieter.

I am using this unit to cool my large open space Kitchen/Living room.
It is very efficient and noise level is very low.
    I would buy again.

It takes quite a long time for the temperature to reduce significantly but it does reduce by about 6 degrees. This is when the outside temperature was around 33.
The unit is noisy even on silent mode but looking at reviews this is usual across models.
The window fitment was no good for my top opening vent so I made one from clear acrylic sheeting and velcro. This works and keeps the temperature lower.
I am pleased with the unit but it is expensive.

These guys are fantastic guys. I had issue with the product because of the noise and the big outlet pipe and requested a refund. They approved my return and processed my refund without stress at all. I’m very grateful to them. Thank you.

I ordered it earlier in the week and it was delivered Friday morning. I left it for 24 hours (as apparently it’s good to do that similar to fridge freezer) then took it out per instructions. It’s so easy to attach the hose to the back of the unit and pull it to extend and put it out the window. They do give you a window kit which is like a panel (check out video or YouTube) but it’s more for sash windows or windows that slides open/close. Even without a window kit, it worked! You can tell a difference! I bought a window kit separately (the one with plastic, Velcro and zipper) and hey presto, it let’s the hot air out without losing the cold air. It’s bigger than I thought so don’t think it’s easy to carry it upstairs but it’s got wheels so it’s easy to wheel from room to room especially if you have laminate flooring. Despite the name, it’s definitely NOT silent even on silent/quiet mode though the noise does reduce in this setting. It doesn’t bother me as I can sleep through anything! However, it may bother people who are light sleepers. The remote is very clunky and I don’t feel it’s needed unless you wish to switch it in/off from a distance – having WiFi and Alexa would be a plus! but I love it as it cooled the room down in a few minuteseven one if my cats love it and sat next to it! Now I just need to get a few more window kits for my bedroom and home office room and I’m sortedjust in time for the temperature drop!

    Should have bought one earlier!

Be prepared for noise. They all have a function to do and they will ALL make noise.

You will need to turn the TV up a little is in the same room and you will need to be a good sleeper if you wish to get to sleep with this thing running in the same room.

The exhaust hose gets hot/very warm. It’s well worth investing in an insulated hose wrap to help with this and allow the unit to cool the room more efficiently.

This thing likes to suck the water from the air in aircon or dehumidify mode, lots of water in fact. Around 2 litres an hour when the humidity is over 50%.

Overall, very happy with the unit and only need to run for 1 or 2 hours at a time to bring the temp down to a comfortable level.

Is a little noisy through the night but you soon get used to it, works quickly to cool the room. You will need an extension hose unless it’s going through a low window but apart from that it’s brilliant.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNice machine, looks good and has all these great reviews We have a cheaper one at work and I’ve noted this to operate at a cooler temperature than this Pinguino by 2 degrees. It just feels colder than this branded one.
Silent mode is a laughable claim. I certainly couldn’t sleep through the night with that racket. I have no idea how much louder other machines would be
Good features I’m just not massively impressed after all. Kinder wish I’d spent a few hundred less and got a non branded one like our one at work. Feel a little disappointed overall having used it these last few weeks but hey ho! That’s how the cookie crumbles some times.
Hope this helps guys and gals.

What a buy. I bought this air conditioner back in June 2021 when my little boy was 3 months old. We have actually ended up using it a lot, there is nothing worse than being uncomfortable and you cannot put a price on comfort!

It is not very noisy, infact the noise is white noise and does an excellent job of cooling the rooms. During the recent heatwave when it was near to 40 degrees outside, the rooms were 18-20 degrees, very very comfy!

I love this device so much that when I got sight of the upcoming heatwave I purchased another! So we now have one in the bedroom as we always have and one in the living room. We all sleep so well and everyone is happy!

A godsend during this recent heatwave!
The unit is easy to set up and works exceptionally well in cooling down our bedroom.
It isn’t that quiet even in sleep mode but fortunately our bedroom is quite large and we put it at the far end so we can sleep with it on. I did try earplugs but they didn’t make much difference.
I can’t understand why manufacturers send such a short hose as standard (1.5m in length) which is next to useless. I’ve ordered a 3m extension kit but make sure it’s 6″ in diameter as the Amazon “customers who bought this product also bought this” recommendation is incorrect as they sent a 5″ diameter tube and it will not fit this DeLonghi product.
Apart from that we like it and would recommend it.

Am so glad I timed buying this to use in our loft room before the mega heatwave we’ve been having. Have had far better nights’ sleep than I would have done and been able to work from home much more comfortably.

Item is HEAVY (19kgs) but well put together and easy to use. The window kit can be a bit fiddly at first but fine after you’ve done it a couple of times. Even just running the tube out the window without it is pretty effective to be honest.

Top tip – the unit (which is ultimately quite small) will struggle to take more than 6-7 degrees off the INTERNAL room temperature you are trying to cool. So setting the temperature to say 21 degrees when the internal room temperature is 30 will mean the loud compresser in the unit will be running full blast all the time as it tries to achieve that temperature.

Instead, accept it will get to a more achievable 24 degrees and the compressor won’t run all the time and in fact will switch off at times. I’m not sure if some of the other reviews were expecting it to silently blast cold air like a shopping centre in Dubai for which you’d need a proper external inverter unit to achieve. For the money, I’m happy.

Purchased this just in time for our British heatwave. Quiet mode is still relatively loud, but in this temperature it’s been a life saver, especially for our dogs. Highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersWe live on a hill and enjoy beautiful views – however that comes at a cost – direct sunlight into our large windows and a very hot house. So I decided to purchase an air conditioner unit. After much research, I decided on this product, especially as it had a quiet mode.

Have only used it once – and expect to use it over the next few days, as temp goes from 29 degrees to 35 degrees.

    – begins to cool the room down within 30 minutes, and also takes out humidity (had a lovely night sleep!)
    – room temp was 32 degrees and went down to about 23 degrees after being on for 90 minutes. We need proper insulation in loft so temp did creep back up, but didn’t feel like we needed to put a/c on again.
    – is heavy – so I cannot move up and down stairs by myself.
    – window kit is only for sliding windows – so you will need to buy other products to fit in other windows and or balcony doors.
    – quiet option isn’t very quiet still – others have mentioned this
    – haven’t checked my electricity cost yet – so not sure how expensive it is to run.
    – the pipe is 150cm in length – very short – would be better at 200cm
As for the quiet mode – there were other a/c units cheaper by about 150-200 without this – however this a/c does remove humidity (not sure about the cheaper models).

So one star off for the quiet mode not being very quiet! Apart from that, I am happy with the item, especially as it also removed humidity from air – and with the upcoming intense heat forecast – i can relax a little more, sleep better and work better. My cat is also happy!

    Update during heatwave (18/7/2022)

It was 36 degrees today and very humid. Still 32 degrees at nearly 8pm. As I also purchased some UV canvas sails for the windows, it has helped reduce heat in the room, although today was much warmer and more humid.

During today’s heat, The room (small bedroom) takes longer to cool down. After one hour, I used the larger fan option at 18 degrees. That helped. The room isn’t exactly cold / or cooler, but it is cooler than other rooms and outside, and I am comfortable.

Perhaps when I get a balcony door kit for the hose (at the moment I am making a home made one) the air conditioner will improve.

    Update 4/9/22

    – I started to use the A/C more efficiently, and this reduced the noise level a little. Rather than having the temperature down to 18 degrees, i put it down to 22 degrees. Still made the room lovely and cool, and not as loud.

    – the cat loves it!

    – Why didn’t we get one sooner! They make a huge difference in comfort levels and sleeping

    – My electricity bill went up by about 10 for August – considering how much we use it, including some nights (on for 12 hours each day at times). I thought it would be more.

Thinking of getting one for summer 2023 for down stairs, as this is too heavy to move up and down.

This aircon unit is well worth the money, it’s cooled down the whole down stairs of our house. Perfect for this heatwave.
Our pets are now very happy and cool.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersA great portable AC for the summer heat. During the recent extreme weather this machine has helped with a great night sleep.A tab bit louder but have gradually adjusted to it and don’t find it annoying. As suggested by others would suggest to switch on an hour before so that you have the room temperature at the desired level when needed. The AC has no problem in cooling a decent size room. Would definitely recommend!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersWith the weather heating up, I couldn’t be happier. Cools the room quickly and effectively. Excellent when used with an indoor bike. Makes indoor training in summer possible. Still fairly noisy on silent mode, you are definitely aware of it. Small sacrifice for a cool night.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersBought this one after trying other portable air con units. They all promised “silence mode”, but fell short when you actually try them out. Most sounded like a Tractor when you ran them. This unit is really quite for an air con unit, you can definitely work when keeping the unit 3-4 meters away. I keep my unit in the hallway upstairs and it can easily cool down 4 bedrooms to 22 degrees. Even downstairs gets reasonably cool.
I do want to point out that this unit will probably be too noisy to sleep next to.
