I Like everything about this tool.I bought this one as a present but I have the same item myself and have used it for several years. I have used it for countless tasks and rate it very highly.
Amazing piece of kit. How have I survived for so long without one!?
Bought this to trim around skirting and door frames, worked Great, Brilliant piece of kit wish I had bought this ages ago. Can be used for sanding down too.
i thought i had every tool that i needed. Why didnt i buy one of these many years ago. Its like dettol, gets to places other just cant reach. Great quality, good tool set powerful and very bloody useful
I wish I had had one of these for the past 40 years or so of DIY
Really good tool that has saved me so much time and produced an excellent resul
Precise cutting, soft start and variable speed. This machine is high quality and easy to use.
An absolute life saver. It allows you to make really accurate cuts very quickly. No more manual sawing and making a mess with jab-saws etc. My only gripe is that it allows you to mount the blades upside down. Due to the offset angle of the blade, this then causes friction which rubs/burns through the mounting arm spring housing, which is plastic. That said, if you pay attention and mount the blades properly, this is a non issue, but worth mentioning as it’s easy to make the mistake of you’re unfamilliar with using similar tools. All in all I think this is a brilliant tool. The variable speed control is a really nice touch too.

This tool is great. I was recommended it by a friend and it has not disappointed. The quality is as you would expect from DeWalt – sturdy, strong, ergonomic and just feels “tough”.
Have only used a few of the features so far but have been impressed. The sander is great for getting into the intricate places and the ability to control the speed by the multi position trigger is a good feature.
The blades all cut well – efficient and easy to get into places.
Tool itself is relatively light and easy to move and the supplied case is awesome – really high quality plastic and secure locking mechanism.
The light on the front is also a good feature, although I did find that on certain functions I naturally wanted to hold the end of the tool for control and thus ended up covering the light with my hand! If I was being really critical I’d probably suggest to DeWalt that the light is either moved, or a second one added nearer to the attachment and therefore cannot be covered when being held.
Overall I’d definitely recommend this.

My new favourite tool! Cutting wood in place is so easy and accurate with this! Every diy project I find a use for this tool
I have nothing bad to say about this. I use it a lot to cut channels through walls to put electric conduit and it makes the job very easy. It is very precise and make you save a lot of time. it comes with a lots of blades and I use it also to sand/finish some wood furniture. I wasn’t convinced until I saw my electrician using one. the quick release attachment system really make it stand out from other cheaper brand, if not for that I wouldnt use it so much (imagine you have to take your allen key every time to change blades, where here I can just change the blade in a few seconds with no tools). the LED front light actually makes it very handy when you work in tight space where you cant really what you are cutting.this is a well thought machine, also you cant feel the vibration in your hand as you may with other brands

I needed a multi tool that was going to perform well with the work that we have planned for it and we certainly weren’t disappointed.
Everything I have tried has been superb, I certainly like the variable speeds of starting slowly and building up speed which helps with accuracy also the quick change of blades is excellent and having the light on it helps brilliantly when working in dark areas like down near skirting boards.
Brilliant! Bit chunky but I got small hands being an old man. Saved me busting a gut sanding in between spindles. Nice box and loads of useful add on tools. Shame the case don’t fit the Milwaukee or Systainer as all my bleedin’ tool boxes are all over the place. I wish I got the Dewalt impact/ drill Combi to keep the batteries uniform so I got the corded one, can’t have it all eh! Prefer my Mirkas and Festools as a bit of a tool snob.

I never knew how much I would need this until I bought it. I use it during most jobs now.
Attachments are last well too.
Made short work in taking 10mm off the bottom of fitted skirting boards.
I purchased this machine with a specific job in mind however since buying the multi tool it’s come in handy numerous times, the initial role was to re-grout the bathroom an undertaking in the past that has been a ball ache of a job, the dewalt multi fitted with the grouting tool was a god send, a great piece of kit.
his is something I have kept promising myself, should have got it ages ago,at such a brilliant price,so easy to use,so versatile, so glad it comes in it`s own box with blades
If I had to loose all of my tools and keep one this would be it. look at youtube for the applications.
This tool is incredibly useful for cutting out old fitted cupboards and slicing through nails and cutting awkwardly placed wood or slicing off coving without damaging ceiling paper . However the blades do go blunt relatively quickly and then cutting through wood starts to create friction smoke . The negative s: the operation noise is really loud and vibration can occasionally get too much plus for some reason the plug was a European one. Plus you need to be careful when putting it down as the trigger is pretty sensitive. However due to the tools versatility it’s very useful and really helped me demolish some old wardrobes.

Great tool for little jobs. I just took grout out from my bathroom floor tiles in 10 minutes. So much easier than I thought it would be.
Don’t wait buy straight away what a versatile tool easy blade change easy to use a must for tradesmen and d I y enthusiasts
So far I’ve used this for some sanding and scraping off floor tile adhesive. Seriously wonder how I got by without this. The corded version seems a lot cheaper than the cordless & glad I chose the corded version as the floor tile job took me an age to finish. It would have been a pain to keep recharging the battery.
This is a very heavy duty machine, especially if you are the type of weekend diyer that just needs something simple. This is an overkill for me but on the other hand it will last forever. I was expecting the blades to last longer.
Very powerful
Easy to swap blades
Everything on this feels quality and heavy duty
The storage box is great
Will last foreve
Cant believe it took me this long to buy one of these pieces of kit. This DeWalt is a solid very well made tool. Great to use and makes easy work of cuts in confined places.
Amazing bit of kit; I use it as much as possible.
I should have bought this tool sooner. Already got me out of some difficult situations. I wouldn’t be without it now. First class tool
This is perfect, excellent quality and very very happy.
I had a Bosch one prior, total crap, this was actually not that much more and also ha a light, will stick with this brand from now on.
First time I have been using a Multi-Tool and cannot imagine how I could do without it all those years. As an occas. DIYer this is probably the only time in my life that I buy a tool like that so I thought I invest in some quality rather than saving at the wrong end as I did so often in the past.
It did not disappoint.
Handy is the little light to shine onto your working area.
Not too sure about the quality of different sawing bits though. They did not seem to last that long.
Amazing tool, so easy to use, very powerful
I used it to dig out the grouting on a wet room shower floor with mosaic tiles!
Simply amazing, couldn’t have done it any other way
Does what its ment to, came before due date xxx
This piece of kit is great. I bought it to trim the bottom of a fitted door frame off and fit wood floor underneath.
Works perfectly and cuts all sorts of things in awkward places.
Would recommend.
I must admit tow things – Firstly, I have not brought DeWalt for many years and have been buying other brands. Used a lot of DeWalt stuff twenty years ago and drifted away. Secondly, this was a rather impulsive buy as I didnt need it!
Therefore, I can honsetly say that given the above I am very impressed and actually not only have I been using this tool for a few things already, but I can see just what potential it has for me in many little jobs that have the potential to be a pain if I didnt have this.
Also, I am totally struck by the build quality of this and will now look again at other DeWalt gear as this is very well made, great feel and quality to it and I am very pleased.
So, great item and look at the youtube videos on these and dont hesitate to take the plunge!

his device makes the impossible cut possible and the difficult cut much easier.
Time is such an important commodity and oh all the hours I’ve wasted by not having something like this
Good for sanding also BUT make sure you use a vacuum to collect the dus
The tool itself is great and as described, but sander blocks don’t last 5 minutes. The rubber pad breaks up when overheating, even when the sandpaper still has grit. Seems more like a con to me, but the rest of the tooling seems to work ok. That said, all makes of sanding block appear to be much the same.
Bought to replace ageing Lidl model and is now my favourite power tool. Variable speed is very useful and the quick change is more convenient than you might think. The long trigger button is a good design feature but it makes it easier to accidentally start the tool when setting it down.
A big powerful unit. The depth gauge is a little flimsy and the universal blade adaptor is not brilliant. I’ve now bought all dewalt type blades and don’t use my older style ones on this tool.
Otherwise, I’m pleased with the tool.
My dad brought this he uses a lot of tools in his work and he absolutely loved this
My husband uses this on a day to day basis .
Product is great but the deal was rubbish. I bought a ‘second’ that stated it might have some parts missing so when I got it and looked through the case, the parts that were missing ended up costing me more than what it would have if I’d just bought it new. Someone else had already used this item, maybe as a demo unit so it should have been discounted further. Be careful when buying a ‘second’ from Amazon and find out exactly what’s missing. Sharp practise for a company that should know better!

Excellent tool. Useful for so many little jobs. I have a big job to tackle soon so will be interested to see how it tackles rha
one of the best buy,s ever — very pleased –do,s what it should–good service.
So pleased with this. Has saved me so much time with hard to reach cuts with a standard saw. Great product cannot recommend this enough.
Bought as a 50th birthday present and my son reports it’s working well
Ordered this and it was delivered very quickly- within about 2 days. This is a quality tool and has a nice balance/feel in your hand.
It has a powerful motor and so far has proved capable in cutting through copper pipe and skirting.
It comes in a robust case with several different blades and I think it is a very useful tool to have if you are undertaking different DIY jobs.
It’s DeWalt quality excellent box of kit good price too
The tool is good, but after researching to find one not made in China, was very disappointed to discover that it is.
Should have bought one of these versatile tools years ago. Main reason for purchase was to reduce the length of some UPVC window cladding to make room for some thicker tiles. I wouldn’t have been able to do this with a conventional saw. The multitool with its “wood with nails” saw attachment made short work of this task. Indeed, the powerful motor combined with the sharp attachment took a bit of getting used to and was a bit intimidating to start with. The detail sanding attachment is also an impressive tool and I can see all sorts of potential uses with the selection of attachments supplied. It’s early days but the quality of the tool seems to be up to usual DeWalt standard despite manufacture having switched to China. I also like the case, part of the “Tstak” system which can be stacked with other similarly packaged DeWalt products for neater, space saving and portable storage. Good price as well from Amazo

Super piece of kit with a great selection of blades that cut well if not forced.
Useful tool to have.
Good length of flexible cord and very nice case.
I ordered the DeWalt multi tool for my house rennovation project… it has been brilliant. I have removed copper pipes, cut out old floorboards at the centre of a joist, cut holes in a worktop around pipe work and cut through nails that I couldn’t remove.
You have to be careful when you pick it up not to accidentally start the tool as the trigger is on the part of the tool you hold.
I bought a corded version, but if you can afford it the cordless would make this an even better tool.
I’ve found I get through the plunge cutting blades quite quickly – you get best performance from a new blade.
Very handy piece of kit.
Very good tool only let down are the blades that come with it – They dont last long and have to be replaced with bette
This was bought for the Pastor of our church for his 40th birthday and he’s undergoing restoration of a VW Camper Van. He absolutely loves this tool as it is helping to cut (no pun intended) the time down on cutting the metal and wooden areas out that are rotten. He told me that he particularly likes the way the quick release mechanism holds the blade in a form of a clamp and the beauty of the various blades he has. We bought this item as it was in a well built case to store the saw and equipment and to avoid losing items and ensuring saw stays in good shape. I have a Bosch which was and is still a good piece of equipment but this Dewalt is well designed and comes with the quick release which most didn’t at first. I totally recommend this tool and the price is excellent from the company I purchased it’s from on Amazon. Great deleivery and I commend Safety-site for there competitive price as this tool was on other sites at a higher price. I would like to buy one for myself but the good lady said I can’t. Apparently, I have too many tools !!! A guy can never have enough tools.
Just used this tool for the first time. Saved me a lot of time removing skirting from underneath radiator and behind a massive wardrobe. Only took me about 20 minutes to remove. I cut them in pieces. If I didn’t have this tool, I would’ve been there all day just by removing the skirting. Thanks Dewalt for making an amazing tool!
Excellent value for money, versatile machine made the first job so easy. Recommended
Excellent product, would highly recommend! Great value deal with all the accessories and hard case – a lot cheaper than Screwfix. Quality product, well balanced, very comfortable to handle for long periods, excellent light to illuminate your work. Variable speed is really good and the trigger is highly controllable. Very easy to change bits in seconds with the quick change facility. Good long power cord too.
For sanding, you can attach a Henry hoover nozzle to it too to suck most of the dust out. Used it for sanding skirting and rough/filled plaster and used it for cutting 18mm off the bottom of my skirting boards before sliding new wood floor under for a really neat finish.
Word of advice though – when using your piece of flooring for your template – make sure you use the right bit of wood! Had two samples of potential flooring lying around on the living room floor (18mm & 21mm) – accidentally used the 21mm thick one (instead of the 18mm which I subsequently fitted). Dead proud of the neat finish till I twigged I’d used the wrong template. 3mm gap between the top of the floor and bottom of the skirting – doesn’t sound a lot…. bloody is when you’re sat there staring at it! D’oh!

Cut 3 triple socket holes in 1 stud wall and one dot and dabbed wall onto stone it made mincemeat out of them with no effort. Cut and made custom wall liners for the triple sockets out of pvc and is made Swiss cheese out of them absolutely great tool. Next job was turn a empty oil drum into a burning bin and I was using a cheap branded blade as I had some left over that I used for my blue Bosch multi tool that this beast replaced and it wasn’t doing much and the blade teeth was wearing down instantly. So I decided to use the one that came with the kit. And it did it again cut through the steel drum like butter don’t know how the cordless one of this model is like but the corded one is a excellent all rounder. Going to use it on a tileing Jo’s next.

Handy, powerful tool! The switch can be a pain in some situations but it the matter of getting used to it.
My second one it just does so many things in seconds.
A great addition to the tool room
Excellent tool but then it is what you expect from De Walt.
as soon as u get it out of the box, = almost bomb proof case, the open that and u notice the weight of the tool, increadibly heavy duty, lovely to hold and grip, made to fit my hand, easy to operate, and comes with loads of fittings, this is why i always choose a dewalt, the top products to buy, will out liv eme !
Read the other reviews too
A friend said how handy these tools are so thought I’d get one
Have not used it much yet, but the times I have it has been a revelation as you come to realize things you can cut or trim that in the past you would have always used hand tools for.
There are applications to use this type of tool (plunge cutting for example) that there is no other way of doing I think.
Ordered this the other day very quick delivery how ever I’ve come to use it today with the sander and dust extractor (the reason I brought this product) and there’s no screw to attach the dust extractor to the unit so I still ended up doing a lot of cleaning. Can i purchase one from some where?
This thing absolutely rocks. It does everything from cutting/detailing to sanding. The cable is a good length too and it comes with quite a lot of accessories.
Great value replacement for my old Bosch. comes with plenty of accessories. Powerful and the work light is more useful than i expected.
Have not had enough experience yo really evaluate this tool but so far so good.
Truly magnificent piece of equipment. I purchased it mainly to take up a stubborn Cushion Floor floor, which it conquered with ease. I then moved on to copper pipes protruding from a wall: removed perfectly! Attention was then turned to some wood which required cutting, easy! Plastic pipe: no problem! Bronze bath fittings; a little more time consuming but the inevitable, positive result followed.
Wish I had bought one 10 years ago (assuming they were available then)! An essential DIY tool.
I bought this for major bathroom refurbishment. How could I have managed without it? Removing grouting so I could preserve old tiles that are impossible to replace, cutting floorboards across joists, cutting the tongue between floorboards, cutting copper pipe that was much too close to the wall for a pipe-slice to fit, cutting skirting board without damaging it – if only I’d had something like this forty years ago when I was in the building trade. My only gripe is that the supplied metal-cutting blade could not cope with flooring nails, it got blunt immediately, I had to buy another one for the pipe-work. Other than that, it’s brilliant, and I will be using it a lot.
This tool was worth the price, saved me alot of money in doing the job myself than having to pay someone the beauty about this tool is that it comes with so many different attachments which you can use to make your life so much easier, the trigger button is to my living and its very easy to adjust the speed and release the trigger which is very good much better than the Bosch I had. All in all this Worth’s the money
Had been wondering for a couple of years whether I would use it. Now I love it, and a couple of workmen we had doing bits & pieces commented that they didn’t know how they’d ever worked without an oscilating tool. Great piece of kit.
Great bit of kit have used it on a lot of jobs and am happy with item
OMG had it delivered at 13:00 haven’t put it down. So many little jobs sorted with this tool.
I bought this when a plumber used one at my house and I wish I’d bought one years ago it’s brillia
Good tool but the trigger is not as good or as useful as it pretends to be and it can be quite tiring to keep pressing on it.
I think this will be my new fav tool after my Makita drill and driver…. Its accurate, easy to use and so versatile.
Wish i had one 2 years ago while doing renovations my floors would be much neater 🙁
Not used the sander yet …
This multi tool is the best one I’ve used. Blade changing is simple with no allen keys to muck about with and the accessories and case are really good quality. The tool itself is comfortable to hold and I’m extremely happy with this.
Don’t hesitate to buy one of these. This type of tool is so useful.. Once you have one it’s amazing how many times you will end up using it for cutting in all sorts of places that you wouldn’t have been able to previously. The DeWalt unit is very robust and feels well made. The LED light is great at illuminating where you are cutting. The quick change mechanism is very easy to use. I’ve been able to use blades from local shops and those from cheap internet sites with no issues at all. Worth paying the extra 27 for the case and fittings that came with it.
Everyone who does DIY needs one of these….pure quality!!
great delivery, lovely piece of kit, very nice case too and has worked with every job intended for, no issues found
What a tool, used this loads for everything, its a great multi purpose piece of kit. From laminate floor, to installing flooring in the loft well worth the money
As with all my previous de Walt purchases it does exactly what it says. The delivery was earlier than stated which was a bonus,
Even the scheduled delivery was not that long.
I have only needed to use it twice so far but the cutting tool vastly cut down time in removing a skirting board in a fiddly area to fix a leaking pipe and the sander is also handy.
It is quiet and quite light. It has a well positioned trigger and the fix/removal mechanism is great! Clench and connect/remove then release – done.
Perfect tool when you have a limited space to work in, Blades are cheap and universal. The cord length is excellent, 4m, and the build quality is v good (I was looking at a 18v version but I think the mains was the right decision) . I read all of the reviews before buying and I have to say that if you are not able to put it down without turning it on then maybe you should not be working with power tools. I tend to use it every time I am doing work around the house – and because I am lazy I tend to even use it when I should be using conventional tools (saw or hacksaw). I certainly think it will mean using my chisels a lot less too. The trigger mechanism is very useful as often you want to start a cut at a slower speed and once you get going speed things up (have a dremel and its a pain and a bit of a balancing act adjusting the speed whilst cutting) – again why would you mark the tool down because it has no speed control – trigger to control speed is much better (just like a drill).
Got the whole kit in a tstak box (worth 30 alone) – excellent as there is plenty of space for extra blades etc.
Seller sent out first class and I got it the next day – again excellent.
DeWalt have done it again ! Take a routinely used tool and vastly improve it. I love the illumination, the variable speed, the overall “feel” of the machine. This is vastly better than the Bosch I did have. That unexpectedly died after less than average use. THis feels so much more robust, and has the quick change method of blades.
Afraid it’s now DeWalt EVERY time for me…….and I have A LOT of power tools !!!
Great product – replacement tools easily and cheaply available to – Recommended.
A great tool for reaching fiddly areas where a handsaw could be awkward. As a floorlayer this is great for cutting around door frames.
As others have said, the blades are very expensive which is one negative. The other would be that it would have been good if the LED stayed on for 20 seconds once the trigger had been pulled – as you need to use it to keep the light on.
Easy to change the blades, lightweight, accurate and fast.
This multi tool is absolutely superb, I have used it while refurbishing a listed building to turn in to offices. Not sure what I would have done without it. It has been used on plasterboard, old pipes, flooring, grout, windows and lots of tricky areas I would normally have struggled with. Well worth the money.
The blades don’t last forever and this at first was what put me off buying one of these, however, it is a small price to pay for the return you get from the usage.
Delivered promptly. Excellent build quality, brilliant for precision work and very strong sturdy stackable storage box. Luckily I got mine when it was offered on a sale price of around 150, but I’d have gladly paid a lot more….
What a great bit of kit. I’ve used this so many times already. Removes grout from inbetween tiles perfect. The on switch like everyone else has said is not the best s when you put the tool down the weight of the tool pushes the on switch. Make sure the tool is switched off when replacing any blades as any knock to the witch will put it on. Great tool though and in the tstak box and all together. Perfect. Buy one now before they go up in price.
Perfect in every way. Perfect delivery from Amazon. Perfect in that the tool comes in a T-stak box. Perfect in that has a quick change tool holder. That coupled with a depth gauge makes chasing out tile grout a breeze. Buy one!!!
Great Price and fantastic product…havent used it yet but looks to be as high quality as all other Dewalt products that I have so doubt there will be any problem. Fast delivery
Every bit as good as you would expect. Very well made very effcient.
Only downside is the sanding platens melt and fall apart with long continued use but what do you expect at 22,000rpm
So far I’m quite happy with this tool, it’s powerfull and easy to use. The LED light is really useful when working in tight dark corners as is the bar on/off switch.
However, don’t get fooled by the description, when it says “37 piece accessory kit”, bear in mind that this includes 25 sheets of sand paper, what you see in the picture is exactly what you get. Be careful when buying this tool from other places as they often advertise that the kit includes the cutting/depth guide when it doesn’t so make sure that you check with the company first before buying. I’ve found that if they are priced at around the 120 mark then they have a soft carry case and limited accessories.
