Bought fireplace for the folks, they love it. Keeps the room warm on lowest setting, love the ambiance of the fire and the remote adds that little extra, not having to move once comfortable. We had a delivery issue no fault of the business just the season and courier. That said when I emailed for help, another fire was sent out immediately. One can’t beat excellent customer services especially during the Holiday season craziness. Thanks for everything truly appreciated.
Very nice stove and looks good and heats room up quickly
We bought this to replace an Optimyst fire that was giving us problems. At half the price this looks much better and you don’t have to fill it with water daily. I particularly didn’t want a black stove, and am very pleased with the pebble colour (soft light grey) as it suits the limestone hearth in this room. Delighted with this, looks good and gives a warm glow to the room, and tasteful for what it is.
Only given a star as I received the wrong product (Bari instead of brayford) The company was great and arranged a return and collection the next day and a refund soon after.
The product looked fine and worked well, but was just not the style we were after.

Love the flame picture of the Dimplex Bayford-makes the room cosy. Also the remote control is a great idea. The heater is a bit noisy as it is a fan heater but we bought it for the flame effect rather than a room heater.

Very well made, looks like it could be cast iron although it isn’t. Good length of cable. Flame effect is nice and decent heat from the fan. Don’t tend to use it much but the heater does make a bit of noise but it’s to be expected from any fan heater. I’m very pleased with this, it makes my living room feel nice and cosy. I’ve not used the remote yet but might be handy for people who struggle with bending down to reach the switches.

Good looking product with really cosy flame effect.
Had noise issues with first delivery (made wailing noises!) so returned for replacement. That also made louder than normal motor whirring noises when left on for hour or more. But this is starting to die down. Dimplex have tips on website how to fix this issue if arises agai
This came very quickly and it looks like a real one with the opti flame remote control is a bonus very pleased
Bit chilly in an open plan front room so I got this to sit by while the heating warms up . Love it, so cosy to look at. If very close it’s obviously not real but it’s still very cosy and I was happy to spend a lot less than the ones that are hundreds of pounds. From a distance it looks quite real. The heat is quite good . Very pleased with it and it doesn’t pollute like a real one. it looks great with the fake slate plinth to go with it .
Great little heater, heats my lounge perfectly. Fan a bit noisy but after a time you get used to it. Worth buying.
The Dimplex ones are more expensive but but the quality does show, it looks great and the flame effect is very realistic. It has a remote but it’s only for on or off which is a shame you can’t control the heat with it, however there is a thermostat fitted and LED lamps.

The fan pushes out excellent heat and is also very quiet. I would highly recommend this fire. L also purchased the slate effect hearth, which really finishes things off.

We’ve got a fireplace with a chimney that’s out of commission and were looking for an electric log burner to fill the hole. This fitted perfectly. We ‘d seen it for much more money on the High Street and this was so much cheaper we did wonder if it was the same item It was, and as such is tremendous value for money. It was delivered in less than 24 hours (free) and cannot speak too highly of the courier who walked it down our long drive in the dark. It is an effective ‘false flame’ and although we don’t need it for heating it does a good job. Considering there are only 3 settings, the remote takes a bit of figuring out but is adequate. Some have commented on the noise, but it’s a fan heater and it’s entirely unrealistic to expect no noise. It’s silent when it’s set on flame only.

Really happy with this item. I had previously had the ‘coal effect’, and was surprised when this turned up as a log effect, but it’s really quite realistic. The original one lasted for 8 years, and I was pleased to see they still do the same model!
Excellent heater with a really good lifelike flame. Flame only mode gives you the option to create focal point in the room without using any heat.
Absolutely love this stove. Looked at many before settling for this. So pleased we did. Bargain price and looks fantastic in our fireplace. Heats up our lounge quickly and the flame is so realistic. We bought the plastic straight flue separately and it really does look like the real thing

This our third over the years. Really pleased to see this has LED bulbs… They may last longer. It’s a bit more brash than its predecessors as a consequence but it creates a warm, welcoming spot in our living room

It looks quite authentic, but when working remember it is a fan heater. Could benefit by having a thermostic control but I can live without it. The remote is handy – just don’t lose it, it’s tiny!

Some reviews have said the fan is noisy but I disagree – any fan heaters make a small amount of noise, that has to be expected, but this does not interfere with the TV or anything like some people said. Quick delivery, looks great, throws out really good heat and looks really realistic – would definitely recommend.

Love this stove, looks great, nice flame and heats the room really well.
It’s a little on the noisy side, but my daughter Loves the cosy glow it gives off. This allowed to create a snug country feel in our lounge without needing a real wood burner. Paired with the simplex faux slate hearth looks amazing.

The flame effect is very convincing and unlike our old model it does not make a noise when the heating element is off.
Having a remote control is a bit of unnecessary luxury but maybe some will find it useful. The remote only performs basic functions.
Unlike some electric stoves this one does not have a cold fan setting but I don’t think we ever used it so it is not a problem.
I am well pleased that we paid slightly more for a recognised brand.

Cute little fire. Some people don’t realise it is fake, although it seems obvious to me! Fan heater which blasts out from underneath towards the floor is OK if you are right in front of it to get cozy, but wouldn’t recommend for heating a room on it’s own. Makes a gentle whirring noise when on, even if just the lights, it’s not unpleasant and it’s very quiet but it is there. It really makes the room seem cozy and warm, I can actually sit and watch it just like you would a real fire as the pattern is very irregular.

.this is a very attractive little heater, gives out a lot of warmth, looks very cosy. would suggest changing the two 60 watt bulbs for energy saving ones though. does make a noise when the heat is on, but you can have just the light on for effect. the log effect that lights is good. overall very happy with it.

It heats up a small room quite quickly and looks OK.
Do be aware that it is a fan heater, and is fairly noisy.
There is a slight hum from the appliance when the light is on but it’s not oppressive.
The stove is very neat and well constructed. The ‘flame’ is quite realistic which makes it very cosy and warms you up just by looking at it. I rarely have the heating element on!

It looks the part rather better than I thought it would. The heating effect is more than sufficient for my needs and the flame effect is pretty good. All in all I’m very happy with it.
Good value stove, flame effect realistic, only really use it in flame only setting, remote control handy, fans quite noisy when on heat mode but good price all the same, plastic looks like metal so can’t complai
Also, when required it knocks out the heat within minutes taking the chill off the dinning room quickly.
Yes it’s a bit noisy but with music on in the background and general chat, it’s not really noticeable.

The fire was delivered very promptly on 8th July, however without the usual notification of delivery beforehand, so it was lucky I was at home when it came. The fire looks quite authentic but the fan is a little noisy when the heating is turned on, though not loud enough to prevent conversation or listening to the television. There is very little noise when the flame effect only is switched on. The product came in perfect condition. I have not checked on its heat efficiency yet as I hope I won’t need to use it for the next few months

Apart from that it is a nice looking fire and gives out a good heat.
I am really pleased I stuck with this model. As reported by several other people, there is a hum from the motor that runs the optiflame. You notice it when you first put it on, but its not so loud that it becomes uncomfortable. You certainly don’t need to turn up the tv or radio to cover it! The optiflame looks as good as any imitation flame and the heater is effective for the job I wanted it for, ie, a little extra heat rather than turning up the central heating.
All in all, a good purchase and one I would recommend.
Gave this as a gift to my daughter. All arrived well and in good order. She says it adds a very nice warmth to her chilly flat.
Excellent value for money. It looks authentic and the flame effect is excellent. We bought this to bring some Christmas cheer to our empty hearth having just moved into our lovely cottage and it certainly gave us the desired effect. This heater would also look good in a modern property that required a focal point.
