I work for an animal shelter where a good slip lead is essential. We are provided some, which range from 6-8 feet long, but I find them too long for general shelter work. 4ft leads are better to keep the dogs right next to you while walking down the hallways, without wrapping the lead around your hand 10+ times. I love that the lead has a rubber lock on it, to prevent the lead from loosening (which it does naturally if not locked in place). The fact that it will loosen on it’s own is good if you work with hand-shy dogs, and the lock actually works, for the escape artist dogs. I was a little surprised by the elasticity in the lead- it has about 1-2 inches of give in it, when a dog starts pulling, which can help to alleviate the “jerk” results on your hand and arm. These are perfect for anyone needing a simple, basic slip lead that locks in place. I highly recommend! It is very durable too! It has survived heavy pullers and held up to leash biters/chewers as well!
My partner prefers this lead due to its shorter length & our dog does walk better with this on for him, he’s a big 10.5 month Doberman who wants to investigate everything he sees & just wants to play constantly.. definitely a great purchase for us, we’ve tried loads. But nothing compares to these leads.
The stretch was ok but increased the discomfort to the hand if your dog still pulled which mine did.

I’ve got a very large Bernese Mountain Dog puppy and this lead is fantastic for him. We had a previous slip lead form a local pet shop but it was very rough rope so if it slipped through your hands or you needed to pull on it to restrain the dog it gave you friction burn, but this lead is MUCH smoother and more pliable. The plastic toggle to stop the lead loosening is great too, it’s a nice big round rubber piece that’s a tight fit and big enough that it won’t go through the slip ring and cause issues.
It’s around 1.5m long and even around a large BMD neck it’s a great length for handling.
Best slip lead I have come across for my Red Lab Pup (I ordered others). Easy to use stopper, feels light, good stretch and durable. So good in fact I have just ordered another in Blue.

I love this lead! I was originally bestirs this about purchasing this as I wasn’t keen on the slip lead format. However, this is easy to hold and doesn’t hurt my hands at all, unlike the other rope type slips leads, as the material is smooth; but this is strong enough to restrain a 30 plus KG German shepherd.
Bought as a present and recipient very happy with the lead. Nice smooth action and loosens enough when dog walks to heel. Would (probably will if this one gets lost…) definitely buy from this company again as arrived very quickly and good price

Nice lead easy to use the plastic stopper is very secure, and love the colour. Only slight negative for me is the length is slightly too long and the rope could be a bit thicker.

Bought for our 7 mths old Labrador to try and help with heel training. I found it helps but only had it a few days so training ongoing. My husband thinks it’s unkind, but she has to learn before she pulls us over!! It is nice and soft on your hands which is a definite plus.
This lead is a good length and is just what I needed to stop my Labrador slipping her collar. It hangs loosely as we walk but if she tries to run at something she can’t slip out.

We bought this leash for our American Bulldog, as it was recommended by the dog behaviorist the leash is soft, very light and strong. If used correctly and you are consistent with your dogs training it really works! (At least it is working with for us).

This seems a very well made product. I am trying out a variety of harnesses and leads with my puppy to see what type he walks best on and what is best for a variety of activities. He has slipped his collar twice and I have been told he will not be able to do the same with this type of lead. So far I am very pleased with this lead,it seems very well made and tough without being harsh or hard round my puppy’s neck. Hopefully hard wearing too

I’ve just bought the green slip lead for our 4 month old puppy. It’s gorgeous, really great quality and very reasonable for what it is. It was delivered very promptly too. All in all I’m extremely satisfied with this product!
I bought this lead for my rescued 2 year old medium sized Spanish hound who was a puller. With this he is pulling much less. It is a good length, comfortable to hold and is soft on his neck even when tight. I would certainly recommend it.

These leads are great!! My spaniel always pulls really hard on a normal lead. Although she still pulls with this one, it is nowhere near as much so much better for both of us. Would highly recommend to anyone.
