I bought this massager because my sister has one which she bought at a trade fair. There she tried and tested many others and was advised to buy this one because the quality was so good. I have a shoulder and neck problems and after a session with her massager, I always felt better, with so much less tension and pain in that area. For some time I put off buying one as I thought it was a little pricey, but then I went for it and have not regretted it in the least. I use it about twice a week and really feel the benefits. The massage is deep and you can really feel it working on knots to ease tension. With the heat setting on, it gives a very satisfying treatment.

I looked up different massagers on amazon & decided to try this one based on the excellent reviews it got. The first day I got it I spent at least 1 hour massaging my back and neck & boy what difference it made. I’m not exaggerating when saying I felt like a new person. I didn’t realise how extreme the tension in my shoulders and neck was & for the first time in a while I was able to sleep without waking up a few times during the night due to pain.
The quality of this product is excellent. The stiches on the fabric look realy solid. It’s really sturdy and powerful too. The massaging heads would rotate even when I apllied a good amount of pressure.
You have to find the most comfortable position for you. I prefer to stand while others described sitting in a chair worked best for them. When massagin the neck flip the massager upside down (narrow part down & wider part up) – it fits & feels much better this way, for the rest of the back the other way round. The only thing I didn’t like about this item is the length of the cable, it would be nice if it was at least double the length but it doesn’t bother me enough to be a dealbreaker & I would definitely buy it again.
Anyone considering buying this massager I’d say go for it, you certainly won’t regret it.

Absolutely the Best Buy, love the fact that I can just sit on the sofa leaning back and enjoy the relaxing massage, I do it on my neck, shoulder and back. Very pleased with this. Works on all sorts of body places (I use it on my nexk, back and feet with equally helpful results). Comes with its own carrier bag which is also a nice feature as it makes transporation/storage so much easier.

I was looking for a small but effective massager due to my limited space in my room, that’s when I came across this. It isn’t too heavy and lightweight on your shoulder when massaging and if you want more pressure then just pull down with your arm. Comes with heat and different handy features and really does loosen you up when you needed it.

I am really impressed with the quality of the massager. This is the best massager in the market.
It is very simple and straightforward to operate to help relieve some pain without causing operation pains.
It offers significant flexibility, both in the amount and the specific location that pressure is applied.
It has the ability to directly control where the massager was working, and the precise intensity at any given moment on your muscles. It look and feel like a high-quality product, the material itself was sturdy and stable, specially leather material.
The controls are very simple as well. After putting your arms through their respective openings, there are buttons on the left side: one to turn the massager on and off, one to turn the heat on and off, and one to reverse (or lock) the direction of the shiatsu nodes and one specially for Vibration. I tried other massagers but none of them have Vibration mode.
The only downside issue I had was the lack of portability. In addition to requiring a wall outlet to operate, I would have liked the cord itself to be a little longer or cordless model. It would be better idea to use a surge strip or extension cord in conjunction with massager to make things much easier.
I brought this massager as I have pain in my shoulders and tension in my neck. This product after first use has releaved pain and eased tension I have only had this for a few weeks but would not be without it now it is fantastic and I feel so much better each time I use it can’t praise it enough. Would highly recommend this and the delivery from Amazon was amazing very happy customer.
I spend 40 a week on massages before i got this, and at the moment i havnt needed another massage as this machine is really good!! I have had a few like this from amazon but they stop working properly after a month or so. This one seems to be able to take the pressure really well of me and i love the heat and vibrating function.
Its worth spending more to just get yourself something decent than these rubbish 50 massages here

After I had a seizure a few years back I’ve always had problems with my back as it always feels very tense and the fact that I spend most of my day in front of a computer doesn’t help either.
I started using this product during my breaks or before bed and I must admit it really helped me out although i wouldn’t classify it as relaxing, it’s actually hurts my back but I think that’s down to my back problems.
I would recommend this to anyone with back problems.

This is an excellent massager. I spend a lot of time on a computer and use this for my neck and back – it feels so much better! Having looked at the various options before buying, there are quite a few cheaper versions. However, I went for this more expensive Donnerberg one because the reviews are much better and I wanted something robust that would last. I was not disappointed by the quality, and although I have not had it long it looks as though it should last (and comes with a 7 year gtee anyway). It also came with a useful bag to carry it all which I couldn’t see mentioned in the product description.
I used to get tension headaches but this massager has worked out the knots in my back to give me relief. I’ve spent thousands on professional massagers and I don’t need to anymore. I purchased off Amazon two cheaper versions of the shoulder/back massager and they were as you can imagine – cheap. They didn’t have the same power as the Donnerberg massager. I highly recommend your purchase. It’s wonderful. I use it every evening.

On recommendation, from a friend, I have just purchased a Premium neck and shoulder massager. My husband and I both have back problems and already have the feeling that the massager is going to be both helpful and beneficial to us both.
The package arrived quickly and is easy to set up. I haven’t used the heat function yet but the standard massage is absolutely excellent – it feels like being massaged by an expert pair of human hands! Only comment/suggestion I would make is that the wrist straps you use to hold the massager to the body could be angled to make moving the machine up and down a bit easier. An excellent product.

I recently bought the massager NM-089 and truly love the product. As I’m working on my desk all the time, I feel tension in my neck and shoulders, which the massager addresses. Especially the temperature function in combination with the massage is a very relaxing experience.
I bought this for my husband who suffers with a frozen shoulder. Initially he viewed it with some scepticism and had it at least two weeks before he tried it. Now he uses it whenever he gets a twinge and rates the product very highly. It is quite a large device but easy to use with a variety of settings. He would recommend it – I haven’t tried it.
I guess including some small attachment for the neck-shoulder area would be immensely helpful.

I bought the Donnerberg massager for my partner’s birthday. I have to say it is the closest thing to a real massage. It is fantastic for relieving aches and pains after a long day. It really does work on all parts of your body. Now everyone in the family wants one. There are other cheaper ones on the market but I am really glad to I bought a good quality one with a long warranty. I think it’s worth spending more for the peace of mind.

Used a Donnaberg at the ski and snowboard show in January, thought I would try a few others my friends and family have. Nothing came close. I still worried about spending a fair bit of money. Best money I’ve spent in quite a long time. I cycle over 200 miles a week and I use this to massage my quads and calves. I still have a sports massage every two weeks but this helps me keep my legs at a good level.

I have back and neck problems for years due to long sitting in front of computers. I tried to teach my husband to massage me but he is too gentle. I have tried this products for about 2 weeks. Though not as perfect as a real massage, it at least allows me to massage exactly where the tense and pain is, and I pull it tighter when I need to stimulate somewhere intensely. I do feel more relaxing for my upper body now, and that maybe also partly because I am doing exercise too.

Even though, it isn’t easy to match human touch when it comes to finding a massager, this is probably to closest you can get.
I have been using this massager every day since I got it and am extremely pleased with the results. So much so that I ordered another one for my sister. I’m finding that it’s posisble to treat so much more than just neck and shoulders and the best way is to experiment and see what works for you. I have also successfully used it on back, my arms, feet, legs and stomach. Being able to treat yourself every day and any time is a big bonus. I have a long term injury and regular massages combined with the use of infra red heater have helped my muscles to relax and to work better. I hope I continue to benefit. The massager arrived promptly and well packaged. Very simple to set up and operate but quite heavy so may be difficult for some people to lift in to place. Having said that I have Parkinson’s which affects my arms and neck and I managed. As others have said it is evidently a high quality product and the 7 year guarantee backs that up. I have had lower back issues for a quite few years now that chiropractors, extended hospital physiotherapy, bowen technique treatment etc hasnt managed to cure so I have just been managing to cope the best I can and be as active as I can and exercise.
Now for the reason I bought this product.
Unfortunately about 10 months ago I damaged my shoulder and couldnt sleep or move my arm without pain. I thought I must have just pulled a muscle but a few weeks later and it wasnt improving so I went to the doctor. Doctors referred me to hospital for assessment and treatment for suspected rotator cuff injury. The hospital started off with xrays and then months of physio and eventually ended saying that they didnt think it was a torn rotator cuff but because of the original injury, apparently according to the consultant, the wrong muscles are now moving the wrong joints because the brain has been trying to protect the injury and controlling the new signals to the muscles. They say it will eventually repair itself, but will take quite some time, up to 18 months.
Due to all the above muscle issues, I started to look around for a good massager and found this original Donnerberg product on amazon with all its great reviews. I realise its considerably more expensive than so many ‘similar’ devices on sale but rather than risk getting a cheaper device and being disappointed, I bit the bullet and decided to get the ‘real deal’. I am so pleased I did, I love it.
It came yesterday and I must say, this device just oozes quality and practicality. I started using it straight away on my shoulders and initially thought there was an issue with one of the rotator head drives as it was very clunky and jumpy on one side. Couldnt see anything wrong with the unit so out of interest, I tried the unit the other way up so that the massage heads were swapped over on my shoulders. Same clunking and jumping on the same shoulder then I realised, that this is on my bad shoulder. I then realised it must be the knotted muscles on that side that the massage heads were working on and it was jumping over the knots.
Having used it (probably too much) that day on my shoulders and back, I started to feel relief from some of the muscle pains I have had and I actually felt I had a better nights sleep.
Today I put it on again early on to continue the treatment as I was convinced that this device was going to help me. I couldnt believe but this time, there was no jumping or knotted muscles on the bad shoulder side, all was smooth and I actually feel I have better movement on that side of my shoulder too. I know its very early days but I am convinced this unit will really help. The massage action and heat, vibration settings available are fantastic and you certainly get a really intensive massage. It is also very easy with a little added pressure to get this device to make you wince in pain (if you are that way inclined) the massager is certainly very capable making you squirm 🙂
Sorry its such a long tale but basically, I love this massager already and personally feel its worth the outlay, even more so if it helps out with the aches and pains I have had for so long. I am not saying the cheaper ‘similar’ offerings available wouldnt do a similar job, but from what I have seen so far, I am so pleased I plumped for this original premium model from Donnerberg it really does ooze quality and is made in Germany, it is not a Chinese clone which to me, is another plus.

I absolutely love the massager. Much better than I thought it would be, it does more than what Donnerberg says it will do. My long standing back problem has almost gone, I use it every night before bed with the heat function on and have a more relaxed sleep than I have had for years. I have been using this massager for almost one month now and I am very pleased with it. I have been going to a professional masseuse once a month and I always need a back, neck and shoulder massage as I work in IT and I sit all day at the computer, so I can confirm that a daily usage makes the difference. And after a long day, this massager is the perfect solution to relax and release tense muscles.
After I work in the kitchen, my feet get swollen -> I have used it for the feet and it is a blessing.
The heating function is very helpful, it feels like real hands are touching your body.
One piece of advice – do not use it excessively on one area (for example one hour) because afterward your muscles will get sore and can hurt. I think there is a valid reason why the manufacturer decided to automatically turn off the device after 15 minutes.
Try different positions to sit in order to find the most comfortable one for your needs. I prefer sitting on a chair or in the bed but up-seated. I lay down in the bed only when I massage my belly.
The only downside of the product is that in order to get a proper, comfortable massage, we cannot lay-down completely as if you were being massaged my a human being. Maybe if there would be an additional belt to wrap around your waist in order to hold the massager in place, it would be possible to lay down on your stomach.
All in all, I fully recommend this product to all of you that need a regular massage or just want to relax. You can share it with your family, with friends and it is a long time investment.

The massager is really well constructed with nice material and feels really natural to be in the position with your wrists through the loops. You can then easily adjust the position on your neck/back.
