Very good selection of parts. But I found I needed to find and buy more of the larger hose as my plants are several metres away from the tap. Assembly using the drippers etc and the smaller tube requires immersing the tube in hot water for a minute to temporarily soften it. Then quickly assemble before it becomes rigid again. Gardening gloves will help to prevent blisters during this process. This rigidity becomes an advantage when assembled as it prevents kinking later on. Also I would advise buying a timer tap attachment to control when and how long the watering occurs. I found this a vital bit of kit to keep my plants alive I went away for several weeks in the summer. Overall a good kit.

This is a good kit for garden irrigation system. It includes all essential connectors and nozzles. It looks complicated but after thinking carefully you can easily know how to build the system. The tubing hose is thick and long enough. The other bits are also good quality. My husband has built the auto irrigation system for our garden already. He is quite happy with this kit.

Good kit for building irrigation system

The hose is rather hard to put on you really have to use hot water to soften it. Use the splitter. To long a run reduces the pressure, at the end of the line.

Only criticism is joints come apart if you don’t push the tubing really well onto the t pieces and outlets. Really need to heat up tubing in very hot water – as per instructions – and push as far as possible onto connectors.

Went together well. Some force is required to push the tubes onto the barbed tees etc. But I’ve had no problems with leaks, it could well depend on the pressure of the marines however.

I got blisters from putting connectors in the pipe. Even sing hot water to soften the pipe it was a very tight fit.

Set up a system with an added timer controlled valve to water my garden container plants – mostly tomatoes – while away. Once set up and adjusted, it worked very well.
Two points: when softening the pipes for connection, dunk only the first 2 or 3 mm in hot water. If more of the tube softens, it won’t be rigid enough to be pushed onto the connection.
Don’t turn the tap on fully. Gradually increase the pressure to get the rate you want without blowing the connections off.

First impressions were good, the kit arrives in a plain cardboard box, all the loose components were stored neatly in bags and everything was in prefect condition.

The instructions are clear and easy to follow with simple steps including pictures. Putting this kit together really was straight forward, it was just deciding where to have the nozzles and drippers that took the time and also getting them into the best position. But once it was up and running I was pleased at how effective it was, finally I could water all my plants in minutes!

Overall I’m very pleased with this kit. As someone who struggles to find the time to do gardening and water the plants for the price this really is a great investment. Would definitely recommend, but check the size of your garden first, it’s more suited to smaller areas.

    So far so good!

Easy to set up, took no time at all, quality kit, set up with automatic timer on tap, keeps hanging baskets well watered without me giving to do anything, love it!!!

    Good
+ Good quality items in the pack
    + Even wate flow
    + Good value

    Not so good
    – A bit fiddly to set up
    – The end bit loses water pressure

This is a great value kit for the money that sprinkles, sprays, drips and showers plants effortlessly using small tubing and a tap connection.

What’s good about this system is that you can customize it a lot by cutting the tubing to the length you need and installing the correct fittings. If you need a dripper every 30cm, you can do that, for instance.

It includes a number of T fittings which allow you to divert water from the current flow and off to the side, such as for a line of spray heads.

It connects up to a tap, so make sure you have a tap outside, or at least a water butt with a compatible tap fitting. My water butt does not have the right fitting, but you can still connect it up with a bit of effort.

It does need a good and consistent water pressure in order to work reliably. I have bought a second water butt to get this set up so that I now have two irrigation systems on the go, and both are working well, but I did need to elevate my water butt quite high in order to get the right water pressure.

For the cost this does give you a lot to work with and it will be a fun summer project to get this fully operational for the summer.

Everything fits together well and creates a tight seal, and I’ve had no problems so far with my testing.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe instructions are close to non existent, and they do more to confuse you. But other than that, if you take your time to plan, the kit is actually quite good. One tip: I used a hair dryer to warm up the micro-hose when fitting the various parts, to ensure the hose goes all the way to the end. This prevents any leaks, and seems much more effective than dipping it in hot water (at least, it worked a treat for me).

This is easy but time intensive to put together. Although there is 40m of tubing present – this doesn’t mean that the pressure will remain constant.

This is a well priced package, is well considered, with a great mix of attachments and fixings. Recommended.

    Great starter pack.

This drip irrigation kit comes with 157 pieces (which are UV-resistant) and comes in either 131ft or 147ft option. Me and my partner used in our fruit and vegetable garden to help with the watering. It took a while to set up getting the pieces together and getting them in place, but when we did it’s worked well so far. We tried both with water pump and gravity feed and both work well in my opinion. To be honest this irrigation kit has saved us so much time in watering that it’s defiantly a must have in a garden if you can. I would say this is good value for money.

The system arrived well packaged with full clear instructions. It is very simple and quick to set up. It connects directly to the outside tap or can be connected to a water timer so that individual times can be preset to operate on its own. I think this drip irrigation system is great value for money and I feel very relaxed now leaving my plants behind when we go away on holiday.

    A simple irrigation system

There is a lot packed into the little box that this arrives in.

On unpacking all items were checked, and all found to be present. Even the little set of tools for pottering about with.

It is advised that the hose ends are softened in warm water prior to fitting to any connectors, and I can confirm this does indeed make life much simpler. With the numerous nozzles supplied I am able to cover a large amount of seedlings and so on.

The kit has been thoughfully assembled, there is even a small roll of PTFE tape to help prevent unnecessary leakage from joints.

This is a reasonable starter set for plant irrigation that comes with pretty much everything to get you started.
