What a great product to have for anyone that likes froth.
Mixes perfectly with nice marshmallow froth and is really easy to clean, as it can do it itself 😛
I’m not sure why they didn’t add a spout, as I did have a few times where it drips down the side when pouring. But it seems you just have to go for it and not slowly pour and it’s fine.
So far absolutely no problems with a neat design and simple function, the whisk elements is magnetic and removable which is convenient for cleaning. Only problem is that the frother does not take that much milk at a time and you may therefore have to do do several heat ups for multiple drinks at a time something that is difficult because the machine needs to cool down between uses. Apart from that perfect!
I am prompted to write a review as several people have said that their frother is poorly made. Ours is 5 years old and is used several times each day. It froths milk well to just the right temperature. I find that if you put cold water in it and let it soak after use it is easy to clean and the non-stick is still fine. We also have a brother in a second home which is 4 years old and works well too, though it is not used so often.
I thought our original frother was getting old and may need replacing hence my looking at this site. However I will wait until it breaks…….
Love this milk frother! We have an espresso machine but got too lazy to do the milk every time so we got this. I love how creamy and frothed (but not too foamy) the milk comes out. Perfect for a latte. Would definitely recommend!

Was a gift for my grandmother, she is very happy with it. I have one that came with my Nespresso and this seems better and with a larger capacity than mine.
I bought it to make a hot chocolate and it certainly makes a good hot chocolate. I buy chocolate flakes for my hot chocolate, and it does melt them really well.
I love this product as it gives me coffee shop coffee at home with wonderful frothy milk. Easy to use and to clean. The perfect addition to any kitchen.
This is a great milk frother no doubt about that, and if you can buy it at the right price even better.
My problem is this is my third machine in about 5 years. First one stopped working outside the warranty, second one had to be replaced because the non stick surface started rusting, and my present one is heading the same way after 18 months. It is cleaned after every use but be careful what you clean it with, sometimes if you are making half a dozen drinks often the case when we have visitors cleaning is much harder and that’s when the damage is done using even a soft scourer. Non stick basis applies. If you want longevity only use a sponge. Note to self!
Let’s wait, as the previous one (same model) failed terminally after one and a half year. I have now a two year warranty.

I’ve tried a few different frothers that did an ok job but this one is perfect. It heats and frothes enough milk for 2 coffees, the milk is nice and hot and the froth is a really creamy texture and its really easy to clean after use.I’d definitely recommend spending a few pounds more and getting the Dualit Milk Frother.
I virtually never write reviews but was galvanised to write one for this milk heater.
I’ve tried 3 others and I can say this one is EASILY the best. Different to the others out there. Stirrer completely detaches, held in place by only a magnetic base. Super easy to clean , usually only rinsing in water will get out all residue. Others I have tried the stirrer remain in situ and the milk sticks to the base making them a pain to clean. The most this has needed to clean is a quick wipe with a soft cloth. Great design. Had it 3 months, works perfectly, milk is just right temperature.
Thoroughly recommend this unit.
Was given one two years ago and it’s brilliant at frothing milk. Use it almost daily. Easy to use and easy to keep clean. If it broke I would replace it with another immediately.

I’m not a regular reviewer but this machine is so good you all need to know. I was bought it as a present.
It is so quick and simple to use it is a pleasure. Many kitchen ‘convenience’ appliances are either not user friendly, fiddly to clean or big/ugly enough that you don’e want it out on view (reducing it’s useability). Not so this.
The whisk operates magnetically so no holes or joins in the container which has curved edges and a non-stick coating. So when you’re done remove whisk and run both under the tap. It’s that simple to clean.

It’s much smaller than a kettle and looks pretty good so warrants a place on the worktop next to my bean to cup machine taking up hardly any space.
I nearly removed a star for the price, it’s not cheap. But when something does it’s job so perfectly sometimes it’s just worth the money.
So easy to make warm froth. We have tried steamers (too much trouble) and high speed whisks (who wants cold froth). This product does it all automatically. Great product.

Brought forth great joy from the members of the family who have milk in their coffee. It was busy all through the Christmas holidays. Easy to use, very easy to clean, and appears to produce the frothy stuff that other people want. I was merely a spectator and the washer upper.
Above all is the simplicity to clean it. The stirrer/frother comes out with ease as it’s simply held in place by a magnet – leaving a smooth coated internal jug which cleans under the tap or with a wipe with fingers.

I can’t use the capsule coffee pods as they all contain way too much sugar. However, I also love cappuccino. With this frother, my cappuccinos are back. This works well with semi-skimmed milk; I’ve yet to try it with skimmed. My only issue is that it has to be fully washed out after every use. However, this is warm frothy milk people, would you reuse a milk saucepan without washing it? Didn’t think so.
This lil device is ideal for making that perfect coffee. Fill with milk press button job done. Perfect every time.

You can make frothy milk, hot milk and frothed cold milk for milkshakes.
To make frothy coffee you fill it to a guided line… read the instructions for this…but it is simple! …. and then press the button once.
For hot milk it’s the same just press the button twice.
It’s well made and cordless…. I personally find it easy to pour from and it works well.
You need to quickly clean it after use… easiest to do it immediately.. I just rinse the inside and whisk under the tap and then dry with paper towel. It’s easy!
You cannot immerse it but you can’t immerse your kettle either….
It’s incredibly good … everyone who has seen it has bought one….

I purchased one of these quite a few years ago, it’s an item I use very often for hot chocolate to milk shakes to coffee, my mum has purchased quite a few different ones that are not as good, so I’ve brought her one for Christmas, what makes this one good is the easy to clean where the inside part comes out, other frothers my mum has purchased have been a small metal part that is hard to put in the bottom of the Frother, this frother is more expensive but well worth due to the quality, would highly recommend

his was bought as a replacement as the previous one got “damaged” – note that when the instructions say don’t immerse in water, there is a good reason. this is a good piece of kit, although the wee rubber feet are a bit rubbish at staying in their location holes on the bottom.
This produces lovely fluffy froth. The only advantage the Severin had was that it was dishwasher safe, but that’s like saying Harvey Weinstein is not all bad as he’s very kind to his mother.
Excellent frother but wish top would detach for easy cleaning.
The Dualit frother is excellent and worth the extra cost.
It has a removable frother inside that leaves an easy to clean, and has a featureless heating compartment.

Finally the frother I dreamt. Makes my mornings just joyful. First time was disappointed because I didn’t go for the hot froth, but instead the warm, which produced just a bit of foam. Next day went for the hot froth and it was heaven. Quick as well and very easy to clea
Make a good froth although I think the milk could be a little hotter.
hmm… not managed to get my mother-in-law off double cream… despite being a really neat appliance. she says she needs a spoon with the new drink, which is a different ‘moment’ altogether.

Have had poor experience with Nespresso frother, where they seem to fail with local hotspots as they get older. (flashing red light)

The Dualit suffers from no such problems. Its biggest advantages are:
– milk heats and froths in a relatively short amount of time
– works equally well on skimmed and whole milk
– quiet whilst frothing
– easy to clean due to extractable magnetic rotor at the bottom of the container
– well insulated as the outside of the machine doesn’t get warm at all
– can often make 2 lattes or cappuccinos in one go (can be used for other types of hot drinks like hot chic as well)
The reason for giving it 4 stars is that sometimes milk does tend to burn at the bottom, which makes the immediate cleaning job a bit of hard work. Oh and if you don’t clean it straight after use, you will spend twice as long cleaning it afterward.
Overall, a great at-home frother!
All of a sudden stopped frothing, just after time to return. Unable to find way of getting it repaired via Amazon. Reviews stated one of the best, not worth nearly 50 if the main reason you want it is to froth the milk when it lasted a month!
Contacted sellers and they sent out a replacement which has been working great with no problems.
If you make large quantities of hot chocolate or coffee this is a must! We kept ours even after buying an espresso machine just incase.
I like it a lot: it even works with milk a few days old. Leaves unfrothed milk though.
Really pleased with this replacement milk frothier. Heats and froths the milk well for fabulous cappucinno’s. Easy to clean with the removable insert. Just need to see how it does over time.
My nespresso aeroccino 3 milk frother was getting a little old so decided to try this one. It’s a very good upgrade in my book just got to upgrade my coffee cup now as the Dualit milk frothed hold more milk.
These machines all seem to do the same thing but the Dualit is bigger and easier to clean too.

It can make froth for 2 cups but it’s not as thick as I would like it to be. Nevertheless good product.
This is so easy to use and clean. I’ve only tried it with some mixed up Nestle Nido powered milk so far but it tastes just great with that. The consistency is nice and velvety and just the right temperature for my cappuccinos! Along with my illy iperespresso machine I can now make them as good as I’ve tried anywhere!

I pour a little milk into the frothy and one click to heat and whisk a minute later it’s done very silent.
I then insert a expresso into my Tasimo and marry these up to make an amazing coffee.
I wasn’t sure to buy this as it was more expensive but definitely worth it for the result.

Bought for a present and have been informed that it is good. Apparently, it’s very easy to use and to clean. Very satisfied.
But in fact it was a very sweet and thoughtful gift as I am a massive Costa latte lover, and now I could make my own frothy coffee at home.
There are 3 functions, hot and frothy milk, hot milk, and cold frothy milk.
I mainly just use the frothy hot milk function, but the cold frothy milk is great for a milkshake.
The machine itself is very simple to use and very quiet. It only takes a couple of minutes for frothy milk. The milk doesn’t come out hot hot but a perfect drinkable temperature. I would say there is enough milk, if filled close to the maximum line, for 1 latte or 2 small-medium cappuccinos.
The machine doesn’t get hot on the outside as its so well insulated. It’s also very easy to clean, there is only the whisk and lid, and the inside just needs the inside wiping after the machine has cooled down,
I use this everyday and love having my own frothy latte at home, at a fraction of the price of coffe shops, although I still like yo go for a treat!!!
The only reason that this loses a star is that sometimes randomly, when filling close, but never over, the maximum line, the milk does sometimes leak slightly out of the machine. Luckily it only happens very occasionally but it’s still annoying when it happens.

This item is fantastic. Its built like a kettle. I have put coffee granules (dissolve them in a tiny bit of hot water) nutella/chocolate syrup, and choc powder. Foams up lovely. Probably not manufacturer recommended but i add a tiny drop of fairy liquid with a bit less than half of the fill level of warm water and set it on a heat&froth spin to clean.
Pros – Can make amazing hot chocolate / latte / mocha.
Lots of foam
Good temperature (for hot coffee I would add some boiled water)
Simple design relatively easy to clean.
Great cost considering price.
Cons – although it is a very simple design inside and easy to clean in theory, I would have preferred that the cup part of the device was removable and dishwasher safe.

Very good – even bog standard instant coffee tastes good with a blanket of frothy milk over it.
A word of caution, the froth acts as insulation so even if you forget about it for ten minutes, then take a sip, it is still scalding hot!

This is a very nice solution to a problem you don’t have. That said it’s much less faff that heating milk in a pan, easy to clean and does the job very well with no drama.
A great little milk frother..whilst your fluffing about with your bean to cup grinding machine, your milk is happily spinning around in your milk frothing heating jug. It’s more convenient than the steamer and as quiet as a mouse too, unlike the Sage steaming wand. Would recommend, naturally.

Expensive yes, but it just works everytime and is a pleasure to use and easy to clean. Having tried a number of poor hand held or battery products including a bodum, this one is just brilliant.

I like this item but as an ex-professional barista and coffee shop owner I’d suggest that you should not consider it capable of producing the silky smooth, sweet milk that you can get from a top notch shop. It certainly works well enough and for most people it’ll do the job intended, which is all you can ask I suppose. I have found that if you cut it off a little early and only fill to around 1.5cm below the maximum line then you get best results. You will need to experiment a little as different milk will need slightly different approach. But I’m nit-picking. Running it through its own cycle will produce too much foam atop the rest of hot milk and it is really over-heated in my view so you get that slight burnt taste. Some may like this, like a cappuccino style almost. It’s brilliant how it works and it’s easy to set up and keep clean. Had it been around 35 I’d give it 5***** but can’t really find it in myself to go that far at the actual cost.
This is so good I bought one for my daughter in law as well! Now the grandchildren can have their Babychinos at home with ease and my husband doesn’t boil his milk over.
1. Wrong temperature milk (generally too hot, latte’s are not supposed to be boiled!)
2. Not enough/too much froth
3. Milk burning on the bottom
I’m pleased to say this manages to avoid all three, producing milk at just about the right temperature (some may find this cold, particularly if they are looking for non-coffee related milk heating – but I find it’s perfect), the cappuccino mode produces a good amount of froth, but far from excessive (about a 10-15% froth layer), and cleaning wise it’s fantastic – the magnetic whisk is much easier to get in and out, and doesn’t lose it’s hold. There’s no burnt milk – a little sticks, but can genuinely be wiped clean. A word of caution: Even though it’s only a bit, wipe clean after every use, don’t be tempted to make two in a row – once the none stick has gone, frothers becomes a nightmare.

i brought my milk frothed to India. I am aware tha the frother works best for skimmed milk. I tried it with long life slim milk. This did not work. Works like a dream with powdered skimmed milk.
A gift for our daughter. Her children were delighted and very excited too!! All well. Arrived when it said. Does what it says. Excellent and makes delicious drinks

– SILENT, EASY WAY OF FROTHING MILK : YOU POUR HOW MUCH MILK YOU NEED, PUT LID ON AND PRESS PLAY:) READY BEFORE YOU EVEN GOT KETTLE TO BOIL, AND CUPS READY. I use a silicone mini-spatula (for brushing egg on tarts) if froth is left at bottom, but give a swirl when lid still on, before pouring and it won’t stay inside so much.
– EASY TO CLEAN> WHEN FROTH IS USED, PUT SOME WATER IN IT IF YOU DON’T WANT TO WASH UP STRAIGHTAWAY SO IT’S EASIER TO CLEAN LATER. TAKE OUT WHEEL. POUR OUT WATER IN SINK (CAREFULLY) AND WITH SOFT SPONGE CLEAN INSIDE IN 2 STROKES. DONE. NO NEED FOR ANY CLEANING LIQUIDS. WIPE WITH MICROFIBER CLOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE TO KEEP IT BLACK AND SMEAR-FREE.:)
– NO BATTERIES NEEDED
– I USE COLD SEMI SKIMMED MILK CRAVENDALE. The best froth is when Using not to the maximum. But I recommend also for Hot chocolates too but you may need 2 trips to do 2 people’s cups.
-MOST IMPORTANTLY THIS MAKES A BEAUTIFUL HOT FROTH. I use 2 to 3 times a day:) My kettle is the SMART KETTLE SAGE. Sage by Heston Blumenthal the Smart Kettle, 1.7 Litre, 3000 Watt Well worht the extra too.
I am keeping my receipt as sometimes even good products can break, but hopefully it won’t.
