EasyCut 5
The EasyCut 50 with NanoBlade technology
With the EasyCut 50 from Bosch, even inexperienced DIY enthusiasts can effortlessly perform precise sawing work, as well as plunge cuts. The unique NanoBlade saw technology assures this: A saw blade with revolving micro chain comprising links measuring just 4 mm– comparable with a miniature chainsaw – ensures vibration-free and therefore particularly precise work. The NanoBlade saw bladeThe key benefits of the NanoBlade are its low-vibration operation and the durability of the actual saw blade. It is sufficient for trimming 100 m of laminate flooring or sawing 100 m of softwood. The NanoBlade saw blade is maintenance-free – no clamping, no oiling, no sharpening. Changing the blade is also very easy – simply open the end cap, replace the saw blade and then close the end cap again. | Optimum handling for absolutely straight cutsWith the NanoBlade, you can achieve absolutely accurate cuts with perfect perpendicularity. The soft grip cover on the handle ensures optimum user comfort, making the EasyCut 50 comfortable to hold and easy to guide. | Performing plunge cuts without pre-drillingSave yourself the effort of pre-drilling for plunge cuts. Switch the saw on, support it on the sole plate and simply lower the NanoBlade into the centre of the workpiece. |

Useful gif
This was a well received birthday present for a friend who was very pleased with the product.
Great little device
Great little tool. Wasn’t sure to begin with but I’ve been cutting branches, posts, various thickness of timber and boarding. The blades are expensive to replace but considering their life span and the abuse I have given this little machine they are worth the money. It’s not a jigsaw so won’t do bends etc like a jigsaw but great for cutting longer straight edges and for cutting inspection holes
Better than expected
Excellent for cutting marine ply which is why I bought this produc
I bought this saw back in June 2020 and on my second use when trying to cut thick softwood (a timber joist) the chainsaw part of the blade broke.
I contacted Bosch and told them what had happened and returned the saw to Amazon for a refund (Amazon were their usual excellent self with a no quibble return and refund).
To their credit Bosch explained that they had a longer saw bloade for deeper cuts. The blade (part number – 2 609 256 D86) is a longer blade than the standard blade and as such is better suited to these deeper cuts.
SO when my next project came along (Dec 2020) I ordered another of these saws and the longer blade.
I was using 18 and 12mm MDF sheets. The saw was absolutely perfect for this task and the cuts were easy to do. The cuts were straight, clean and the edges were also perfectly square.
So my advice is to get this saw into your toolbox if you are ever cutting sheet material. In my opinion that is where it comes into it’s own and makes the job a joy to do.
For that I totally recommend this saw.
Miniature chain saw
Reasonable value for money miniature chain saw. Easy to use. Spare blades a bit pricey.
A very sturdy jigsaw
This is a good jigsaw A fantastic design for a jigsaw
Bosch is Bosch.
Bosch never seems to disappoint and this little machine, certainly does not; great little cutter.
Cutting out sections
Nice fine blade for a fine cut, easy to replace.
Can line up and cut down into the wood to create sections, without needing a drill.
potential.
This nano blade tool is really good, easy to use and precise. I am not 100% sure with the durability of the blade, the first nano blade that was already in the saw lasted 20 cut and it wasn’t good anymore.
I had a second blade that I ordered apart and it seems better than the the original.
Will see.
This tool it’s not good for big stuff.
Amazing that nobody has developed a product like this before. I needed to cut a door, and then a smaller door within it, in some existing panelling. I was creating a place for a litter box under stairs, and needed both a large door to be able to access / change the litter box, and a smaller door for our cat to regularly use it. I had considered jigsaws and reciprocating saws and then found this. It is really easy to use and precise. I wondered whether the ‘plunge’ capability would work. Having had to drill holes in order allow jigsaw access in the past, the plunge capability would be a huge aesthetic plus, and also make easier work of the project. It works perfectly.
There are two things that Bosch can work on for the next version, to make this even better: first, if the base plate could adjust to be flat on the surface while plunging, it would make it easier to line up such a cut. Second, ideally this product would allow the blade to be in two positions, eg ‘down’ and ‘out front’, basically combining the EasyCut 12 and EasyCut 50 into one. But, as it is now, this is a great device.
Fast cutting jig
Not a bad machine the plunge action is really useful but because the blades are wider than a standard jigsaw the turns are not as tight. Still a good fast machine though
Versatile and easy to use.
After owning my previous Bosch jigsaw for 12 years I decided to treat myself and replace it. This jigsaw is really good, solidly built and cuts extremely well with none of the judders I was getting with my old one. I hope it lasts as long.
Bosch advanced 50
Excellent brought this as reviews were good, this is a fabulous tool making light work of many jobs
Nice saw
Yet to use, but runs quiet and smooth, nice bit of kit, and good guarantee, good Black Friday deal.
Forget looking for any other saws.. This bad boy slices through everything like butter.
good quality saw very accurate cut ,and easy to use.
Just used it for the first time to cut through 40mm thick solid oak like butter, and easy to keep in a straight line.
Made my amateur ham fistedness look like it had been cut on a bench.
