    amazing
such a great product. we have been using it for months and collects so much water each time. It is also great for drying clothes in the winter as we dont have a tumble dryer. would highly reccomend.

    These work in cold rooms
Desiccant dehumidifiers are better than compressor types if you want them to run in cold rooms like garages or unheated utility rooms. A couple of disadvantages are than they use slightly more electricity and also they have a distinctive smell when running, especially at first.

I like this particular model (I have three of them!) because you can use them with timers, or control them using smart plugs via home automation. I’ve discovered (to my cost) that the fancier models with more complex controls can’t cope with being switched off from the mains, and end up damaged – this model is fine.

Having bought three of them you can tell I’m a bit of a fan!

EcoAir DD1 Classic MK6 Desiccant Dehumidifie
I purchased the dehumidifier 6 weeks ago, it has been excellent. The noise level is more than acceptable, it pulls the water out quite quickly and my washing dries within a couple of hours.
It does not use much electricity and it warms the kitchen up nicely. I would recommend this dehumidifier.

    It does the job
Works well as a dehumidifier, gives out low noise and looks good. Using it in winter and welcomed the byproduct heat. It is also very useful if you need to dry some clothes indoors as it removes general humidity and the air blown helps dry the fabric faster.

    Does Job Well
Probably one of the better and more reliable products purchased on Amazon lately.
Well, so far working great anyway. Wanted a second dehumidifier for our home and since we already have an older EcoAir model still working strong, we opted for the newer DD1 Simple. Works great for drying clothes indoors during the winter months too.
The water tank is smaller than our old one and tends to fill up quickly which shows just how well the product works, and I don’t mind at all emptying the water collected a couple of times a day. Just hoping it will last as long as the first one we bought severals years ago has.
In the end, a dehumidifier is a dehumidifier, and this model may not be the cheapest one out there, but having done my research comparing other items on the market, I am happy with the choice made.
    Highly recommend this item.

Works where conventional refrigerant types do no
Although slightly more expensive than the refrigerant type dehumidifiers I normally use, this dessicant model was necessary for a very cold bathroom with a mold problem. In practice it has worked better than expected, reliably extracting 2l/day or more even with ambient temp less than 3 or 4 deg C and operating in 2-hour bursts 3 or 4 times a day. The room is dry, no sign of mold returning. Intuitive controls, good build quality.

    Small but mighty.
I already have the Ecoair DD3 classic and I have to say I am very happy with this product. I needed a second unit and it needed to be more compact and this one ticked all the boxes.
It fits perfectly upstairs as it takes little space and when run in the night it is quite silent. I have measured the noise and it is about 31dB, bettering the manufacturer’s claim of 31dB, really good.
The water tank is only 2 l but it is more than enough to collect the moisture of the longest programmable time, 8 hours, so no issues there.
Hopefully it will last as long as the bigger bother.

    Does what it says
Really was hoping this would be effective in helping to get clothes dry and be quiet – totally impressed with it. I switched it in eco setting g and medium and it drew about 2cm in 3 hours with no damp washing – just from house. It’s on nearly everyday as I have recently moved into property and is really helping with what I didn’t think was a damp concern. And it’s used every time I put clothes to dry indoors. They dry within a few hours. If I had the room I would buy another. Impressed

Top product & now it has 3D Louvre air vent too
After many years of service my original DD1, which has been working every day between autumn and spring drying washing and our steamy kitchen when cooking, started to leak water past the side of the collection container intermittently and needed replacing as not cost effective to even ask about repair.

No hesitation – straight onto Amazon and get another DD1 – next day it arrived. (suggestion – do not select to have it put into Amazon packaging as being in its original box enables delivery driver to see which way up it needs to be and also gives them 2 strong handle to carry it by, so avoiding the occasional comment about it arriving upside down)

Once out of its sturdy deliver packaging I let it sit in a warm room (very cold day at time of delivery so device felt cold) for a few hours to aclimatise and let any outside dampness clear the workings.

Straight away I noticed that Ecoair have improved this model since my original purchase and it now has manually adjustable 3D louvers on the air outlet – I don’t think they have updated the listing to mention this.

First day drying washing on the bathroom line I spent time adjusting the 3D louvers – they have a nice click to them as you move through 8 optional angles and judging by the various amounts of movement seen on the washing can tell this really does make a difference.

I now leave the louvers in the position I have decided is best and washing is now dry in 60 – 90 minuets quicker than with the original (non-adjustable) DD1.

Well done Ecoir for continuing to evolve their machine – its better than ever now.
