IPX6 Dustproof&WaterproofThe keyboard stands out also because of its IPX6 dustproof and waterproof mainboard design. It’s practical and unusual. No worries about unexpected water spill on the keyboard. | Dye-Sublimation PBT KeycapsWe chose to go with a top-grade PBT thermal sublimation keycaps. PBT keycaps are often considered the top choice for keycap materials, even over ABS keycaps, as PBT is much more durable, oil-resistant (won’t get shiny over time like ABS), and stays true to color longer. Our keycaps are also abrasion-resistant, waterproof, and dust resistant to keep your keyboard lasting longer – even for the daily on-the-go lifestyle. | USB-C to USB 3.0 PortThe SK61/61S is fully compatible with every operating system (OS) from Mac/iOS to Android and Windows, and you can easily switch between the different OS with just the flip of a switch. |

Gute Tastatur, Schlechte Software

Great Keyboard but a couple issues.
So i got the keyboard with the black switches and some keys like the spacebar were prelubed which felt nice, and the keycaps feel amazing and the wear in undetectable but, the issues are the drivers are hard to find and download, the LED lights aren’t the brightest and I do not know if this happened to anyone else but the stabilizers in the spacebar are very bad it really annoyed me at first because it gets hard to type etc. When you press the spacebar slightly on one side of the keyboard it lifts up on the other side and if you do it a couple times you have to press it on the other side so it goes down again, so if you know how to work with a keyboard like change switches, stabilizers, foam mod. band-aid mod it I highly recommend this keyboard because everything else about this keyboard is immaculate!

Esteticamente molto bella.
Software poco comprensibile.
Tasti (optical red) super morbidi e sensibili.
Layout US, ma settabile con il software.

i ordered this keyboard for a replacement for my old one.
when i got i was realy happy the feeling is great and in my opinion the keycaps look amazing.
i give this a 4.9 star rating 0.1 was cause the stabilizers were over lobbed, the space bar sounded bit wired and my finial reason is the echo form the case but is really quie

Tastiera mini gaming
Buon prodotto per uso gaming. Conforme a quanto riportato per qualit e prezzo.
First of all, for the price, it is a very good product, powerful when you learn to use it and it has the potential to become a very expensive keyboard
the only downside in my keyboard was the stabilizer of the space bar, i think it was almost faulty, you could push very easy the space bar and very noisy. Also the rest of the stabilisers were very noisy but better in the feeling when pushing it.
The first easy and cheaper upgrade you can make in the keyboard is place some tape/paper to the stabilisers to move less
the second easier is to buy some Orings and lower the noise of the key stroke.
The third easier and cheaper upgrade is to buy some third party stabilisers to replace the original.
At the moment, i have placed some foam under the pcb, new stabilisers, o rings and lubed the switches with overall price less than 100 and sounds and feels awesome.
If you want to experiment on a 60% keyboard and try to upgrade it by yourself, i think, in my personal opinion, this is the suitable keyboard to do it on it.
If the space bar wasn’t faulty i would rate it with 5 stars
Pretty good product and suitable for begginers

Perfect for me.
I wanted to experience using a 60% Keyboard at a reasonable price. This fill that want perfectly. It seems to be quite sturdy. I got black switches, “upgrading” from the blue, clicky ones I’d had before. Thought the black switches have taken a little bit of getting use to, I quite enjoy them and their significantly more quiet. The RBG has more range to it than I expected it to with the software. The texture of the keys is nice. I was unaware that the keys themselves aren’t shine-through, which has ended up working out in my favor as I have put shine-through keycaps on the keys I use the most, however had I not had other keycaps, it would have been a bummer as I use this keyboard in a dark environment.
TIPS: 1) I had the keyboard plugged in before downloading the software. The software didn’t recognize the keyboard. I unplugged/replugged the keyboard and the software picked it up immediately.
2) The software isn’t the most intuitive, however a quick search for a keyboard/software tutorial yielded quite a few results that worked out wonderfully.
Time will tell its longevity, but for now its great and I love it.

SK61- Optical Red Switch (REVIEW)
I like the optical red switches they r so light that if u basically tap it the switch activates as it has 2mm actuation point and they switch itself is pre lubed and silent until the keycaps bottoms out. rgb is quite easy to control once u understand it. shouldn’t be worth 70 should be around 60 but for me i think i got every pennies worth. haven’t had any problems for a month of usage, recommended buy for all gamers/ typists
It is a really good keyboard but the only thing that i dont like is that the spacebar is too sensitive but i got used to it after some time

First most obvious thing I noticed are the keyboard noise, it sounds close to a Cherry MX Red Key, just as loud if not louder but for the general size and aesthetics, it's the way to go. Looks better with the keys swapped to White in my opinion.

Bought this keyboard after a friend got one and recommended it to me. I have been in the market for a 60% board for a while and wanted it to be a customizable. For the price, it is amazing. The Optical Yellow switch from Gateron are buttery smooth even without lubing. The keycaps are high quality PBT and have a nice texture to them. They are a little too low for my taste, but over all they are great caps. The stabs were actually lubed well and there is no rattle on any of the modifier keys. RPG is bright and vibrant. The only bad thing is the software needed to make custom macros is pretty bad. This is normal for these types of boards though. I would highly recommend this board to anyone looking for a 60% keyboard or are getting into custom mechanical keyboards.

Good quality
I’m happy with item it’s my first 60% keyboard, I have not been able to connect it via Bluetooth yet but that wasn’t the primary interest as of yet. There is a USB provided hence I’m using that to start off with the perhaps dig deeper on using Bluetooth
piu piccola di quanto mi aspettassi
molto bella e fatta bene

My son wanted this keyboard, he plays a lot of online games and told me this was the best keyboard for gamers. I was very hesitant due to the exorbitant price but it was his birthday money to spend so I figure he’d soon learn that something as mundane and basic as a computer keyboard would never justify the expense.
How wrong I was! This keyboard is amazing. Just a few minutes typing on the mechanical switches and you suddenly understand the joy of typing on something that gives a good bit of old school resistance. The clacketty sounds the keys make brought me right back to the days when I used to type on an old typewriter. But..this is a gaming keyboard and according to my son, is a dream to use as he strafes and shoots his opponents hitting the keys in quick repetition.
Pleasantly surprised
I was hesitant at first due to the low price, but after purchasing im surprised at the quality and functionality, the lighting effects are OK if your into that sort of thing but the build quality is high and the materials used are of the same quality
Tolles Keyboard

Not bad for an entry level mechanical keyboard.
Switches feel good, I prefer a heavier switch so I went with blacks.
it’s worth noting that it is only hotswappable with other Gateron Optical switches.
Stabilizers are decent, but probably this keyboard’s biggest downside. But that’s okay, they can be replaced later if you choose to do so.
Overall it presents itself as a good platform for someone looking to get into mechanical keyboards. The software is a bit finicky, and could use some work, but the on board lighting profiles can be swapped out for a bunch of other presets so you only really have to mess with it once, and that’s it you choose to. You could definitely get away with just the built in profiles.
Keep the manual on hand, it’s great if you need to remember how to access shortcuts for a bunch of important keys and other controls.
This keyboard is absolutely fantastic. I bought it as a replacement for my HyperX FPS Alloy which served me well for the 5ish years I had it until I had the misfortune of spilling a drink onto it. I took that opportunity to look into getting a new keyboard and my brother had recently picked up this exact keyboard with the Gateron Black switches. The package arrived as expected and the packaging was good. Worked like a charm straight out of the box. As I was used to Cherry MX Blues on my Alloy, I went with the quieter Gateron Browns. The switches feel great and I have not run into any issues with sticking. I did switch out the keycaps for the HyperX Pudding keycaps from my old keyboard to 1) take advantage of them since they were essentially brand new at the time that my Alloy was drowned, and 2) to allow the RGB to be seen more easily, as the stock keys did not have any transparent portions to allow light to escape. This brings me to the 4-star rating that I gave the keyboard for "brightness". I wish it was a tiny bit brighter, particularly for when the lighting mode is switched to a solid red, it just seemed a little dim. But again, other than that, the keyboard is fantastic. There is one thing I will point out to people looking to purchase this keyboard. If you are used to a keyboard that is set lower, you may look into getting a wrist rest. I actually purchased the Glorious Gaming Wrist Rest because I knew this keyboard was set higher than my old one. Just something to consider.

Honestly nothing wrong with the keyboard at all. Wanted a 60% keyboard for a while now so I looked around. I didn’t want to pay 150+ for. Keyboard. Then I came across this with great reviews, so I bought it 🙂
Only thing is, the space bar is very very sensitive. But that’s something for me to get used to because of my previous keyboard I guess.
Its Pretty Good, great for gaming , could be 10$ cheaper, overall good.

Nothing to dislike so far. Comes with easy to follow function command list. RGB presets are nice and varied. USB plug and play. Overall keyboard feels very well built. The key caps are well made etc.
For colouring, the baseplate is whiter than the keys – which are more of a creamy white.
My son loves this small keyboard for gaming. Has multi colored lights and plinky keys

Where do I start? This keyboard feels amazing with its 85% thick PBT caps. The quality doesn't feel cheap and the keyboard is made from strong plastic. If I'm sure the stabilizers and switches come factory lubed which is a great thing. Overall I wish there were more color variations of this keyboard. I think this is way better than GK61. However, if you need arrow keys you should go for the SK64. This is a very smooth board and is pretty good for gaming.

All I wanna say is the shipping was very quick! And would recommend this keyboard to a lot of ppl it’s put together very well and feels stronger than most of those cheap ones you can get for $40 plus the switches feel really good I got the red’s (keep in mind if you’re new to mechanical keyboards these switches will feel kinda like a regular keyboard but way smoother and clean when clicking. Great keyboard overall

It's all good, but there are some issues
So I bought this the other day and I’m satisfied with almost everything: amazing price, modern look, smooth feeling when typing, solid build. But I encountered some problems:
– If you’re like me who is used to a bad keyboard where you have to apply extra force in long duration, let say when sprinting in an FPS, the smoothness of this keyboard may throw you off. I would love it if it has a slider to control the sensitivity of the WASD keys just for gaming.
– This is a big one. When I turn on the computer, the PC doesn’t automatically recognize the keyboard and I can’t type my password to log in. When I get into Windows and open the software, it recognizes the keyboard and it starts working normally.

This is a Christmas gift, so our grandson hasn't used it yet. It appears to look the same as the photo though. It isn't very big.

The keyboard is very comfortable. I also like the software alot, it took a long time to get used to but it is very fun to make new profiles. I hope that they add more options for lights, like each frame can have different color lights, This keyboard is great. It would be absolutely perfect if the software had more customization options

Good value, swappable optical switches, compac
Purchased with brown switches. Easy to remove optical switches to replace, lubricate, or add TX film. The tool for keycap and switch removal is included along with a USB-A to USB-C braided cable. Case fits tightly with little flex creating a compact package. Other reviews have said this keyboard has hollow sound due to the plastic case, but adding O-rings helped. A heavy metal case would help, but that would add to the cost. The sound of the keyboard is normal for a mechanical keyboard, especially when sitting on cloth or a mouse pad. Includes three extra keys for Mac layout. I also like that I can turn the backlight to lowest level for night use. Did that by selecting blue or green LEDs always on with FN+ and then selecting the brightness with FN+P. FN+E switches to Mac keyboard layout, essentially swapping Alt and Win keys for Command and Option respectively. The Mac layer also enables the four arrow keys available on the layer using FN+R-Alt, FN+R-CNTL, FN+Menu, FN+?. Pressing FN+E toggles back to the standard layer. I use Karabiner Elements with my MacBook and the the standard layer works well with this app. Not using the keyboard for gaming, but I am using it for typing. For that use case, the keyboard is an excellent value. My keyboard came with keycaps that were not sculpted or tall, they were low profile.
The F and J keys have homing “bumps.” I was going to put on different (taller) keycaps, but ended up liking these. It seems the lower profile with the swappable switches reduces the wobble of taller keycaps. Not long ago mechanical keyboards with hot swappable optical switches were hard to find. At this price, you you have a keyboard with removable optical switches for $65, less when on sale. You could spend a lot more and get less than you do with this keyboard. If you are interested in swappable optical switches, but don’t want to spend too much on your mechanical keyboard hobby, this is a great value.
I've used this product for a few months now and I have to say I'm in love with it, the switches feel really good especially if you lube them, the only thing I would change is the PCP so I'm able to use regular switches and not optical.

If you’ve never used linear switches, you’d feel the difference. I would accidentally click on something because of the amount of force it takes to actually press the switch down.
They are hot swappable but I’m pretty cool with the red switches. Mine is not the Bluetooth version, i have not tested it with a Mac. But if it works literally like plug and play, it would work on a Mac.
The manual is very useful if you’ve never used a 60% keyboard. It has different rgb mode, there is this one particular mode that takes in the sound and displays the amount of rgb lights it’ll display (according to sound). I didn’t know this feature, it would be a no no feature since i am not looking for a keyboard that can spy on me.
However, it’s a good keyboard. Been using in nonstop . I tried my cheaper blue switches keyboard and I hate it.
The switches are flat like how’d you see on a laptop or magic keyboard. But it’s all good because it’s amazing to use.
Well worth the money!
Really happy with with epomaker SK61. Excellent value for money, I love it that much I fully customised it within the same week I bought it. It has a nice weight to it, feels very premium, works really well, haven’t had any problems at all. I definitely recommend buying one
I was accidentally sent an SK64, which was actually a nice surprise since I was thinking about picking one of them up too.
First impressions were that this board (despite being fitted with Gateron reds) is loud! Some attribute this to the board sounding hollow, but it’s a sound I love. Typing on this thing is super satisfactory.
A potential downside is that the caps are not shine through, so you miss out on some of the RGB potential – but I just replaced the keycaps it came with with some doubleshot PBTs and it looks great (non standard size meant that I had to keep a couple of the stock keycaps but I don’t mind that). The legend on the original keycaps is not very attractive in my opinion, but I do very much like the colour scheme.
This is my first board with optical switches, and they work just as well as any other switches I’ve used. Quiet switches but with a lovely ‘thunk’ from the board.
Overall a really nice board for the price. If you want a super quiet board, go for something like a Kemove 61, but if you like a nice thunky board, this is a great pickup.
Actually quite nice. Build quality is a step up from the GK61. Thicker plastic shell that’s all matte, a braided usb cable, and the keycaps especially are really nice PBT. They aren’t double shot though, so the RGB backlight doesn’t shine through the letters; keep that in mind.
Also note; this isn’t the Bluetooth version, look for the SKU with “S” at the end for that feature.
Optical red switches are really smooth and light, but just a bit too light for me.
Software is very difficult to use. It’s not like Razer or Logitech, you need to know what you are doing to navigate it. I had to watch some YouTube videos to figure it out, but once you do it’s pretty feature rich.
I ended up returning it for the Bluetooth version with arrow keys, but if you don’t care about that stuff this is a great buy and cheaper too.
I really like this keyboard, especially for the price. For what is important to me it really nails it. The keycaps are nice and thick and add to the overall reassuring feel that the keyboard has. I was worried about the lack of arrow keys with this being a 60% layout keyboard but I found that I can change the layout to "Onboard mode1" and the ALT, MENU, CTRL, and '?' become the arrow keys and if I need to use any of those keys (which I rarely do) then I can access them with the function key again. I found this way of doing things (using the FN key to access another layer) to be pretty nice and within my first day of use already more convenient than having to move my wrist and find keys on a standard layout or even a tenkeyless. As for the Gateron blacks that I ordered this in I really find them nice to type on compared to my blue-style keyboards and my Gateron red keyboard (I found that I didn't like how light the keys felt). I really prefer these Gateron blacks over what I've used previously and I've not found them to be fatiguing like other people find switches that require more force to type on. The bottom housing, or shell of the keyboard is also nice with it being so thick and whatever plastic it's made out of seems really solid to me. As for programmability I can't comment on but for me it isn't a feature that I need considering I have it working the way I want it to. In the picture I have the light set all the way up but for me I usually have it set way darker. I also personally like how the plastic is raised a bit on the sides as it makes it easier to use the keys on the edges and also lets me rest the sides of my hand on the board which is something my previous keyboards didn't have.

keyboard with gatheron red. smooth and easy switches, a little bit noisy, but lies very solid on the table.
great price, fast delivery.
Feels great -black switch
Came from blue switches and i though switching to linear was going to be a bad change but the black switches felt and sounded great had it for 2 weeks now and its still holding up.
Great keyboard, very solid and very smooth to the touch with the red switches, great for gaming..

I ordered this with Black Switches and they are smoooth. Buttery smooth, the board also sounds very good, although some lubing would take it to the next level.
I was unable to get any drivers to work with this board. But that’s not too much of an issue. I don’t have any complaints with this board.
[Update 1]
I’m a pretty heavy keyboard user, after a few days I can generally tell if a board is good or not, this board is unbelievable, after a few weeks the wear is undetectable, which is unusual for me (because of my university work I can spend up to 8 hours a day on a keyboard). But the real game changer for this board is the sound for me, this board is so satisfying to type on, I’m not sure if it’s the switches or the backplate or a combination of the two, but this board sounds unreal
[Update 2]
No complaints with the board, infact to this date by far the best board I have ever used. Better than things 2-3x the price. However when you buy from smaller brands like this the driver’s aren’t always the greatest andt his board is no exception. The driver SUCKS it’s a modified GK61 driver but never have I ever been so frustrated with a driver. I still reccomend this board, but expect to have an argument with the drivers
[Update 3] Still going strong after nearly a year – stabalisers are beginning to rattle a bit which is totally normal – definitely gonna have to lube it – still fantastic to type o
Awesome keyboard!
I just received my keyboard yesterday. This is replacing my old “LeaningTech” 60% keyboard, which I loved.
I’m not the type who purchased for the RGB, I have it turned off and really could care less about the lighting.
I went with the Gateron Brown optical switches, which feel amazing so far. The keyboard has a nice subtle “thock” to it when you bottom out. The keys are a bit odd being similar to the XDA profile; the rows are all about level with each other, similar to a laptop but not like a standard keyboard. That did not matter to me as I ordered a separate OEM profile keycap set anyway.
The keyboard is very very rigid which is great but mine has just a touch of wobble as it sits on my desk; a business card eliminates the wobble for now but hopefully I can find a better fix.
The braided USB cable is nice, although it’s not coiled and I may be ordering a coiled unit to help keep my cables a tad cleaner. Definitely not a deal breaker by any means.
Something I will need to get used to though is the FN layer. The old LeaningTech keyboard (which appears to be no longer available) used FN-Backspace for Delete, which made a lot of sense. Out of the box, this keyboard uses that combination to turn the backlight off; Delete is FN-M. This is not marked on the side of the keys, which is fine for me; the unit comes with a legend that shows you the combinations.
Overall this keyboard is pretty awesome. No nonsense, straight to business. No logos on the sides of the case. Very “plain” looking aside from the different key colors you can get out of the box, which I like very much as most inexpensive mechanical keyboards seem to be aimed at “gamers” and can be too flashy for my tastes.
Overall I would definitely recommend this keyboard to anyone considering it.
Ok so this is a relatively… cheep keeb. But it has software that works, albeit clunky like… but it works!!!!
The stock effects are entertaining, the XDA profile caps are aight. I ended up switching to a low profile, sculpted cherry layout.
The original caps are reasonably well made given the cost of the board. It’s hotswap using the optical switches.. so you are limited, but it’s a reasonably wide catalogue I suppose. I got the blackies and I am quite happy with how relatively quiet they are and how super smooth and nice the extra weight feels. (I plan to get it modded w/100g springs. Cause gaming on my 150g speed silvers can be tiring… and cause I can)
The actuation on the switches isn’t as lightning fast as my 150g super speed mod mx silvers. But it’s still quite fast, still super responsive, and I don’t feel it holds me back when I am gaming or just typing out messages.
The hollow plastic case is… noisy.. super noisy if you don’t do some kind of bandaid mod to the stabs.. But they are easy enough to take out and modify, there’s cutouts you can thread the wire through… albeit forcibly over the led but hey.. you don’t have to unscrew anything. They do come factory lubed and it’s not the best job. They didn’t have to lube them at all but they still decided to go that extra mile. It made me smile to be honest.
The plate is pcb mounted as far as I can tell so adding some dampening should be super easy if you want.
The software is reasonably robust as I had mentioned and it comes with even more lightning effects. It comes pre built with two layers. The win lock, caps lock, and the fn lock (via quick double tap of FN) all have an led effect. So that’s pretty…snrk… lit… I’m sorry..
You can save macros and layouts or any other real modifications to the keeb’s internal rom. So that’s pretty damn neat.
READ THE BLOODY MANUAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want the software that will see this keeb they tell you the url.. in fact, here’s the url now; http://jikedingzhi.com/downloadlist?driverID=41
On the manual it will tell you what the secondary FN layer is.
If yer a programmer then you will need to give this some software love before this thing is ready for your bidding.
Such as there is no way to easily use the fn+ r-alt, r-menu, r-ctrl, and “/?” key for arrows with something like l-ctrl and/or l-ctrl+l-shift for highlighting multiple words for editing. That can be modified in the software, but it’s cumbersome initially to say the least. But the fact remains that you can alter it.
But the fact that you can save some amount of local macros, alter all the keys, and have like… three or four layers is honestly a darn value for something this cheap.
Sure I could nitpick it being noisy and the like… but it has a well laid out manual, the software works reasonably well. I honestly can’t say I hate it at all for gaming. I actually.. kinda enjoy it if I am to be really honest with y’all.
Overall?
If you would’ve told me about this keeb several years ago I would’ve called you a liar and threw an orange or something at you. But to see, feel, use, and enjoy it now? Well heck.. I can’t say that I am all that upset.
It’s nothing super special but I feel it’s a great value teensy keeb.
A decent budget optio
This is my first mechanical keyboard with a plastic case – my daily mechanical keyboard has a 3lb aluminum case, so I decided to purchase this for travel purposes. The switches themselves were slightly wobbly but very smooth, typical of Gateron switches, and the PBT keycaps felt nice to type on. The only small nitpick I have is the ringing from plastic cases – I ended up removing all the keycaps to add some dampening, since the bottom-out noise on plastic cases is more unpleasant than the ring of a metal case. Keys are relatively straightforward to replace.
The keyboard also came with a nice selection of accessories. I appreciated the inclusion of both metal and plastic keycap removers, as well as the OS X modifier keys; I do wish that there were enough to replace both left and right side modifier keys should someone wish to. In my case, I rarely use the right-side modifiers or look at them, so it was not a big deal.
I haven’t tested the IP6X rating – will update this review when tested. Overall, this keyboard does nothing wrong, and at $65 is a decent starter option for those who might balk at the price of $100 mechanical keyboards, or would like to try out the mechanical keyboard experience. I will be using it for travel, as well as to test drive new switches for a substantial period of time.
Very pleased with this keyboard! It is compact and very well made. The base feels very solid and sturdy, the mechanical action on the switches is very satisfying and all of the different functions/shortcuts are very well explained. Very good value for the price too!
As a person that uses a keyboard throughout most of my day, one can’t survive without using the “right” mechanical switches.
To make the fewest mistakes, to type the quickest, to get the feedback that you need from your fingers pressing down back to your brain saying “you did that right” or “you slipped up and need to do *this* to correct it”.
If it’s so much as slightly confused, as to what your mistake was exactly, or that you’re unsure if you pressed the key properly, that makes you take inadvertent breaks that make you way less proficient with whatever you’re doing.
When typing for work, talking to friends, gaming competitively, etc. — Any incoherency will slow you down, mess up your fluency and pattern of doing things, making you feel less in touch with the game you play.
It’s only human to need something that is tailored to work on the same mental frequency as you physically handle it, it’s like knowing the feel of your basketball better than any other. You bring it to the court with the same pressure you prefer and you don’t want to admit that it gives you an advantage, that you understand how it’s going to operate when you use it.
That is exactly how it feels with these Gateron Brown switches.
Within the past few years alone, I’ve been through a couple different boards with different advantages. I started with the typical “clicky and tactile” mechanical keys. They were a neat introduction into what a better keyboard had to offer. The sound made the use of a keyboard seem “enhanced” while offering a tactile feel with transparent feedback.
When it came the time to retire the clicky mechanical board, I made a move in the opposite direction.
I ended up getting a “silent”, linear switch mechanical keyboard without the “tactile” bump. Now this was an improvement for me when it came to playing certain games where strafing was involved, but the activation point was so short, that I found myself hitting wrong keys accidentally WAY too much for my liking.
That’s when I got this Epomaker keyboard with the Gateron browns.
First off, I LOVE this keyboard. In my experience within mechanicals, no keyboard switch is truly “silent”, but these are very quiet and present a very warm, low tonality that is easy on the ears and provides the auditory feedback I need to be confident when I type.
I had myself worried at first “how will I ever get used to a keyboard where I can’t use the arrow keys to do simple text edits”? Boy, I was wrong. This board allows you to use arrow keys with function + the surrounding keys. Matter of fact, it has all the key functionalities that a “tenkeyless” keyboard has, and there isn’t a big learning curve either.
The space I have for competitive gaming is amazing, I use a very low sensitivity and this makes me feel much more open to control my character with the movement room it frees up. That combined with all the keyboard functionalities I’m used to makes this keyboard a no-brainer.
I mentioned before that you really need a “feel” for your keyboard. Switches that make you feel in touch, to maximize the proficiency that you’re capable of. Why should your keyboard be the limit to how you type rather than your own physical limitations?
I find these brown Gaterons give me the feedback I need in every way to type confidently with minimum mistakes, and at the maximum potential of my own limitations. None of those excessive mistakes like I’ve gotten with my previous linear switches.
Now, I’m usually not very impressed by keyboard lighting, it’s usually just a convenience for seeing the keyboard layout or backlighting the key text on some keyboards. The backlighting, pattern and speed options in this keyboard are great! The coloring is solid and fills very well, it looks clean and presents a nice aesthetic. At the same time, I find the light doesn’t leak out where it adds visual “noise” to my surroundings. It is very focused on the board and pleasant to look at.
I honestly could not recommend this keyboard more. For the price it delivers above it’s weight and supersedes the value of other more expensive keyboards I’ve owned and used.
If I have one complaint, it’s that at night the dark color scheme of this keyboard makes it harder to see the key markings. This is mostly my fault though, as I don’t have any light in my background other than my monitor. I would definitely suggest a lighter version of this board (the second darkest or the white) to anybody in a similar situation. Other than that, the keys are generally easy to see.
All in all, I can’t say there’s a better keyboard on the market for this price point, and even more-so, I didn’t expect this to impress me more than most of the “flagship” keyboards from other reputable companies. When I am in the market for another/different board, I will certainly be looking for another Epomaker!
Good 60 percent keyboard. Red Switches feel nice keycaps have a nice texture. Takes times getting used to the 60 percent layout if your moving from a full sized layout like myself overall good board.
Really good buy
I’ve always scrimped out on keyboards, over the last couple years I’ve had maybe 4 or 5 low end budget mechanical keyboards. They all break, keys go non responsive and the quality is generally mediocre. I spent a little bit more on this occasion and I can honestly say its worth the 70 price tag. It’s very sleek, the key caps are good quality, rgb is great. I did also disassemble the entire keyboard, and it’s very well built, good components, I added some foam to the bottom for dampening and also lubed all 60 switches, which had made it even better. Totally exceeded my expectation, no complaints. Also worth mentioning the gateron black linears I went with were really good before lubing and awesome after lubing.
I was skeptical about buying this 60% keyboard at first, however after a week or so testing this mechanical keyboard out, I would have to say it is an incredibly satisfying keyboard. The Keys sound really crisp having gone with the Red switches and the keyboard itself feels quite durable. It’s made out of plastic; however it’s quite heavy and feels like it’s built to last. I would really recommend buying this keyboard. I haven’t heard of this brand prior to purchasing this and I will definitely keep an eye out for future releases.
Negatives – I haven’t found any so far really – the only minor thing I would suggest is that the instruction manual can be improved upon for understanding shortcuts. Nonetheless, this is a 60% keyboard worth mentioning for sure!
