On-the-fly Buttons Remapping
- Just press and hold the Set button on the back for 3 seconds to enter the button programming mode.
- You can activate the remap program during the game and assign maximum 15 buttons (X, O, Triangle, Square, Up, Down, Left, Right, L1, L2, R1, R2, L3, R3 and Touchpad Button ) to the back buttons.

I didnt want to pay the ridiculous price to buy a pro controller, this was a nice alternative and was easy to install (ive done small mods like this, but its easy to follow if you have steady/dexterous hands.)
If you want to connect the touch pad you will need soldering equipment (but I never really use the pad for gameplay so I skipped it.)

I had previous eXtremeRate paddles for PS5 and didn't like them because my middle fingers would rub up against the box on the back. This one has solved that issue and works flawlessly. Easy to install, easy to map, great instructions, great support. No reason to give this a bad review in my book. A+ product.

It was very easy to install with the online video. The clicky action feels great with shooters and I do not think that I would ever go back to a regular controller. Definitely better than paying $300 for those custom controllers. Trust me I have one and it always gave me issues and now it just collects dust.

Das Kit ist in Verbindung mit der YouTube Anleitung sehr gut zu montieren. Kunststoff wirkt stabil. Hab die Version mit lten “gebastelt” was an sich ganz gut geht mit etwas lterfahrung.
Tipp: die Ltstellen wurden von Sony lackiert. Es geht einfacher wenn man diesen Lack vorher etwas abkratz.
Auerdem sollte man die Steckverbindung der Flachkabel sehr sorgsam einstecken und den richtigen Sitz kontrollieren. Erspart erneutes demontieren.

Les palettes sont trs pratique en revanche les 2 petits boutons sont compliqus prendre en main.
Montage en 1h30 environ, il faut tre minutieux mais la vido est trs bien explique.
Dernier point, bien vrifier le type de manette avant de couper, j’ai fait l’erreur mais le service client eXtremeRate m’a renvoy un deuxime schma gratuitement sans problme.

Installation took me around 2 hours but it was all worth it. I don’t get why you would buy a scuf or from any brand like them when they charge you $200+ for the exact same thing. For those who are scared to break your controller, don’t be. I was at first but then I gave it a shot and saw that it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. For people with long hands like me, I would recommend mostly using K3 and K4 since that’s what I find most comfortable. Overall, great product and thanks for not making me spend $200+ on a controller that would probably break after 2 months.

Einbau geht mit dem Anleitungsvideo sehr gut. Hab das Lten weggelassen (brauche ich nicht).
Fr mich macht das Set einen guten Eindruck. Es sieht ganz gut am Controller aus und die Taster funktionieren einwandfrei.

This is now my absolute favorite controller over my Elite Series 2, Thrustmaster Eswap Pro X, and PS4. You will not find better positioned back buttons/paddles. They feel very naturally placed, I’m usually a “2 back buttons only” guy but the buttons are so well placed I now use all four. I went the “no solder” route by Im.A.Caveman on YouTube for installation, just take you time and follow the video carefully and you’ll be fine. Other reviews have mentioned that the paddles could use a shorter travel to actuate which I could agree with but I honestly which might be good for feel but I ultimately think it would not affect performance.

Si eres de las personas que no investiga y no es de tu agrado darte cuenta de que necesitas soldar, quitar y colocar piezas, no vengas a dejar un mal comentario ya que simplemente este accesorio no es para ti, busque un accesorio que ya se encuentre ensamblado o un control totalmente modificado y listo.

Am Ende doch noch geklappt. Hatte Probleme mit einer Faltung gehabt. Der Support hatte mich angeschrieben wegen meiner schlechten Rezession und im Anhang waren Fehler Schaubilder abgebildet. Genau daran lag es. Nur finde ich die Backpaddles sehr laut.

Great add-on, be prepared
Installed this on my ps5 controller to meet my needs. When you recieve this you recieve numerous components and this one is not simply plug and play. You do have to replace two ribbon cables to make the unit replicate the 4 triggers and the x, square, triangle, and circle. If you also want the TouchPad or the L3-R3 then you will also need to go a little farther including light soldering. I didn’t need that functionality so I skipped that step. I recommend watching the tutorial on YouTube while installing.
Product functions as expected after a week or so of regular gaming. Easy to remap and keep on playing through various games.
This is my 6th custom build, but my 1st on the DualSense5. It was trickier than the DualShock4 builds but still fairly simple (only 2 solder points if I remember correctly). These back paddles are game changers! Super easy to map/remap once installed. It WILL NOT fit into its cradle charger now but that's not a problem as now I have to hide my controller from my sons! Great game change
Once you get used to playing with these you will find it hard to go back. I installed these on my old PS4 controller and now my new PS5 controller. I love using these buttons. Feels really good in your hands. The PS5 buttons seem very durable and the button mapping on/off has been upgraded from the PS4 version making it much easier to use.
Install will take a little time (maybe an hour). Just watch the YouTube video and pause/rewind when needed. Check your controller model before you cut the new connector ribbon strips so you don’t off the wrong section.
After installing you will not be able to use a charging station. You will need to charge it by plugging in a cable. Not a big deal.
Great replacement for a XBox Elite controlle
While it was pretty involved, it wasn’t overly hard or complicated. It’s comfortable and easy to use after using an Elite since they were released.
However I did break one of the Ribbon cable clamps on the kit but easy enough to rig with a bit of tape. Just be sure to not act like a 300Lbs gorilla and it should be fine lol.
Haven’t gotten to test it out ingame yet but definitely feels great!

Overall the install was easy. Like everyone else says take your time and make sure everything goes back the way it came out. I also got the clicky hair triggers from them as well and put them both on at the same time.
I personally use it for Warzone and it took a few days to get my fingers to use the paddles vs the buttons. Definitely a huge game changer once you get used to it. I also took a can of white gloss spray paint splatter to match the front trim to the gripped back plate from extreme rate. I think it came out great! Overall I love it. Worth every penny.

I thought this would be a nice alternative to a scuf controller. After an hour of gaming, the chip box on the back digs into your finger. The paddles are extremely sensitive. They get accidentally press very easily causing you to do things in the game that wasnt intended. I wouldnt recommend this

I've owned 2 stuff controllers previously, they are too expensive. This is a great alternative. I intentionally did not wire several of the buttons as they required soldering and I only needed to have the triangle, square, X, circle remapped to the back of the controller. Thankfully to remap those buttons only required changing out the ribbons. Be aware that this controller modification does require soldering if you want to do all of the buttons on the controller.

Easier than it looks
Honestly, was worried at first because of the duration of the installation video but it turned out to be quite fun to fiddle with the remote and install it, wasn’t too complex.
Had and used the product for three months but then it snapped, less than 24 hours and the customer service responded and offered a replacement for the part!
So to all people that debate whether they should get themselves a set of paddles or not, I’d definitely recommend and revisit for future products, thank you for the quick help with my orde

Works well for L3, R3
I wanted to have paddles for the L3 and R3 controls on my PS5 controller. As noted in the product’s writeup, this requires soldering (thus 3 stars for “easy to install”). Fortunately I have a friend at work who could do that for me. The disassembly of the controller and reassembly was straightforward, with very clear instructions. Apart from the soldering, it took about 2 hours total. I have since been using it almost daily and am quite happy with it. The paddles are plastic but are doing great; no evidence of any degradation. I had used the Sony paddles on the PS4; these are comparable in feel.
The rubberized grip is an improvement on the original smooth finish on the PS5 controller. I’m glad I chose it.
This is a very affordable and easy mod. After i installed it it worked exactly as it should! Just be warned it definitely not comfortable for long play session. The grip to hold this without mistakenly clicking the new buttons really triggered my carpal tunneling hands. So be careful!

One the best back paddle attachments for the dualsense. As always, if you dont need the L3 or R3 or touchmap remapping you do not need to solder anything. just replace the ribbon cables and add in the pcb

Tried soldering in my own buttons before this, the solder pots popped off easy the buttons didnt seem reliable it was a lot of work to try to perfect, this rise 4 is already perfected and a great price for what you get! Its all ready to go super easy plug and play extra screws like 10 minute installation once you got it couldnt be more pleased! Fully recommend it! To really nit pick though as some have mentioned the out side bsck paddles feel a little soft it seems fine soo far though and i do like the style of two buttons down the handles than two paddles a tad more. Yet these paddles are still comfy and easy to use!. A bit of a bummer that my controller dock doesnt work with it but thats a small price to pay and there are others that will work. Over all excellent product and more than worth it!
