Collection bag is rubbish already had to stitch up three holes only had it for one year replacement bag nearly the price of a new vacuum apart from that very good

This is my first leaf collector / mulcher and tried it out yesterday collecting the leaves from 3 trees to put on the compost heap. It was lightweight and easy to use. It’s pretty powerful it chopped up the odd twig on the leaf piles and has good safety cut outs. It only clogged when picking up wet leaves on the dry ones it worked a treat and was fun to use!
wish I had stuck to the old model
It does not cope with the stalks of Chestnut and Oak trees, or anything too long and fibrous the blade “cog” jams. It is not a 2 minute job to switch from blow to suck, you have to go back to the shed for the other parts and take it to bits. My last model was just a leaver to change…much easier. The bag is a fluffy fabric that makes the dried leaves stick. The zip is more like you would get on the back of a dress than a piece of garden machinery. It has to be hung up to empty. I would not buy again.
Great Value
If your looking for a vac and also blower all in one this is the deal. Great performance and easy to use. A top tip is to buy the roller wheel to go with it which takes a lot of the weight of your back and shoulders when using it. Does it work ? heck yes. Definitely value for money and it mulches as it goes so a lot of leaves and items take up a tiny amount of space in the bag provided

Changing it from suck to blow is time consuming you have to unscrew the black pipe chamber to fit the other one on.

Yes however if they did one at 20 that was more simple to change between setting would I pay it ?

Decent lightweight unit woth good suction but suction pipe too long and end should be slanted/bevelled so it can be held at a practical, comfortable, angled height about the waist. I have to lift to chest height so end of pipe achieves good suction over/above debris.

My last one worked hard for many years, not sure this one will. My only criticism is I fear the zip on the bag will not last long, as it jams up with debris and is bit faffy.

Picks up well.
I sued this in the autumn when the leaves were falling. It picks up well and did not get jammed at all. I don’t think I would risk using it when the leaves are wet as I am sure it would jam up.
The blower has a good strength to it.
Easy to use but can start to feel a little heavy after a bit- this would be no problem for you stronger guys!

It is extremely easy to assemble and get it working. A few clicks here and there and everything is in place. The instruction manual is clear and simple, and there really isn’t much to figure out. I had it out of the box and turned on in around 5 minutes. The cable is far longer than most people could need.
The suction is great, it picks up everything from leaves to small twigs, but doesn’t try to suck up the artificial grass.
Its great that it shreds everything that it sucks up, turning all debris in to confetti pieces. This makes it really easy to empty in to the garden waste bin.
I have only two gripes.
Firstly, a minor concern with the quality of the bag that everything is collected in to. It seemed to be poorly stitched together, with large amount of fraying around the edges. But nothing is ripped or coming undone, so for now it just seems like a cosmetic issue.
The larger issue is with the weight. Why does this not come with wheels? I know you can buy separately, but I can’t imagine anyone not needing them included from the start. I only have a tiny 25 square metre lawn, and I am a well built young guy, but after one session with this I felt like I had done a full workout. Definitely not suitable without wheels for most people.

Very powerful machine, heavy to use, was a bit fiddly to assemble, but does a good job. Shoulder harness included but not tried to use it yet.

Leaf vacum
Easy to use and assemble, would be easier to use if suction nozzle had been finish with a bit of an angle.
Difficult to disassemble.
Overall it’s not a bad product but it is extremely noisy and it is very difficult to disassemble when converting from suction to blowing; the main grey tube is almost welded tight to the motor unit and it requires two people to unscrew it. No a happy situation.

Not particularly easy to put together! the manual isn’t clear !! In operation the blower is fairly good but swapping to suction, the unit becomes more cumbersome , but with a little practise you get used to it as the mulching of the leaves is worth the hassle in the end . The clips that attach the bag are too small and fiddly , however it gets the job done when you get used to i
Useful tool in the Autumn.
Suction power is just enough not to suck up any pebbles only leaves and small twigs. The blower is very powerful and ideal for blowing the leaves in one area to be collected or mulched with the suction tool. Changing from blower to suction or visa-versa is a little fiddly until you get used to it. The mulcher reduces the leaves to mulch considerably.

I haven’t used the blower on this item as yet but found that the suction for picking up leaves was not that great even when turned up to full power. It does its job but I found that because it’s so noisy especially on high power you are rushing and want to turn it off. I don’t know if it’s that heavy or not. I don’t find it too bad, but possibly wheels might have been the answer. Would I recommend buying this Flymo. For the price Yes, but I think there are better ones out there. Of course that means paying a little extra.

This is so powerful that it could do with a half power switch. Blasts even wet leaves.
Quite fiddly changing the pipe to the suction pipe which takes about five minutes but it sucked up dry leave instantly.

This is a blower primarily, not a vacuum.
I bought this product to use as a blower when renovating a patio and extracting little bits of rubble and stones from the gaps between the slabs after I’d used an angle grinder. It was absolutely brilliant. Incredibly powerful and possibly lethal in the wrong hands! So, having finished my project I thought I’d see how it performs as a garden vacuum. It was so pathetically ‘unpowerful’ I really thought I’d assembled it wrong. How can something so powerful as a blower be so poor in reverse? After reading various reviews I have come to the conclusion it is indeed not much good as a vacuum. So, if its a blower you’re after, get it! It is amazing. But if a vacuum is your primary need forget it. Easier to rake up leaves etc by hand..

I was a bit dubious at first as I have used petrol vac/blowers in the past but the suction power on this is great. It has an on/off switch so you don’t need to hold the power switch on whilst using.

I found it a little heavy as I am a pensioner so have to use it a little at a time. I use it to collect up plant rubbish.

Powerful blower!
Wow. I underestimated the power of this leaf blower. It’s incredible. I bought it for the blower function to blow away all the grass and grass stuck on and beneath my lawn mower after use. It was able to help blower out all the grass in all the hard to reach crevices beneath ride -on mower so this will definitely reduce risk of rust etc and help maintain the equipment. Not able to comment on the mulcher function as I don’t plan to ever use this.
Finicky parts to swap ove
I had the older model which enabled you to quickly flick a switch to go from blow to suction mode…this however takes time to switch parts etc.
If you are on the short side handle the product before buying.
I have used the product once since buying.Purchased as a replacement for previous Flymo garden vac.I am generally pleased with the overall performance.

Brilliant product, suction is great and picks up with ease. The blower works just as well. The leaves is turned into a mulch which is easy to deposit in the bin.
Downside is it find it very noisy. I’m sure the neighbours will confirm that and the positioning of the bag, I find it awkward

Great value leaf blowe
I bought this in the Black Friday sale so cost-wise it was a bargain. As others have already said this does not have a variable control as advertised. That aside I found it easy to assemble and swap between blowing and suction. Both suction and blowing is very powerful. Taking advice from other reviewers about the cost of a replacement bag I thoroughly clean the bag after use and hang it up in my garage out of the way of any mice!

Item well packaged in two boxes, delivered promptly, and is exactly as advertised (as at 19/11/19).
Demolishes leaves into fine particles. Easy to change tool-less fittings. Blower is very powerful and so you have to be careful in many situations, so variable power would be beneficial. Would prefer to have more suction power.
Overall very impressed and well pleased. If this was stolen tomorrow I would be happy to buy this model again.

Brilliant garden tool
Does a great job of sucking up grass, leaves etc which is what I want, leaves the stones on our boarders on the boarders even the light stone, which is what we want. Good product. Be aware of the over heat / use cut out. It’s not a problem obviously but I couldn’t see it mentioned in the literature.

I have a pea beach drive and sucking up the stones would ruin the impeller quickly. This is made of nylon rather than metal. My old Flymo was fixed speed too but had a slower speed to avoid gravel pick up. It could also be switched between blow and suck with a simple switch. That is progess for you!

Pretty good garden vacuum reasonably light – the changeover from suction to blower is probably a little bit tedious but I do not tend to use the blower anyway so it is not too much of an issue.

Has been well used last summer and have used it already this year so 5 star for this. Bag is better balanced than our last one so makes it easier to manipulate about the garde
I only use it as a blower, with so many leaves over so big an area there would be no benefit in trying to vac them up. The machine is every bit as good as the gardening magazines say it is, I wish I had bought it sooner. powerful and not over heavy to hand hold for a thirty minute session between breaks. It is loud but worth the inconvenience when you see the results it gives.

Efficient leaf clearing!
Did exactly what I was hoping it would do – make clearing leaves from my garden so much easier and a lot faster!
Fairly bulky but works well.
I use it as a Vac, not a blower. It collects up large Magnolia leaves without problem and I find that wet leaves can also be collected provided they are not compressed onto the ground or amongst plants.

Great at it tasks sucks & blows ok. Just a bit time consuming when you change from blowing to sucking also bag gets in the way on occasions but you just have to be patient.

Cannot be used for clearing wet leaves.
I have only been able to use this garden powervac once as at this time of year there is a lot of damp weather, so I am still having to pick up the leaves with an old fashioned garden rake on the garden and brush them up on the paths. It is also very heavy and cumbersome to use when there is ideal weather conditions for it.

Pros. Powerful. Chews up leaves so the bag fills up only slowly. Not too heavy.
Cons. Converting to use as a blower is a drag. Works best when vacuum is immediately above the leaves, as opposed to at an angle, so could be a problem for the smaller person. Quite noisy so earplugs a must.

Very strong electric blowe
Much higher airflow than other places electric blowers I’ve used. Recommended blower if a two stroke blower is not what you want.
Replaces similar model which I had worn out after many years. Good to see the improvements made making it easier to access the fan. Still an excellent choice of leaf clearer and shredder. Have never bothered with the blower function. Too powerful and sends the devris everywhere. Perhaps a “sucker” machine only at a reduced price?
I have just had new false grass fitted and this is brilliant for hoovering falling leaves etc. Very powerful too.
This is a great purchase ,very easy to use and a great help in the garden.
This is my first leaf blower and after doing a fair amount of research I decided on this model. I felt it hit the right balance between price and performance and I’m not disappointed.
After cutting back our wayward hedges, I’m always shocked at just how much clearing up there is. After picking up the larger pieces by hand I was able to blow the remaining cuttings VERY quickly into a manageable pile. It made such light work of it I’m actually looking forward to using it again.
The vacuum worked well enough and I was able to successfully deal with a large proportion of the leaves that were left. It grinds them into a fine powder and makes quite a mess – so think twice before using it in your best clothes and shoes. No tuxedos!
I’m happy to recommend this as it both sucks and blows superbly.

Excellent. Arrived on time and does exactly what we expected.
Powerful machine, just a bit “fidly” when changing from vac to blower. Price for replacement bag needs to be a lot cheaper.
Just got one (50) and spent about 45 mins in two sessions with it in both blow and suck modes and it seems good, so far, to nicely shred leaves. Can take about five mins to switch and part-dismantle to go between the blowing and sucking. Best to get all your blowing done completely before going over to vacuuming. Time consuming and a bit awkward to change over. Also about 40 secs to detach full bag from its hooks/clips and then another 40-60 secs to put emptied bag back on. Beware sucking up small stones etc to stop plastic shredding blades being damaged/shredded! Blower is powerful. Likely to wake neighbours and frighten horses.
Assembling it all from box and packing when first bought took about 20-30 mins and needs close attention to understand assembly guide booklet. Could be easy to go wrong if you’re too hasty/of a simple mind. Easy to register one year warranty online.
I thought I was buying a two-in-one vacuum and blower but you have to change the tubes from one action to the other. However, very efficient.
