I have two of these shelters and three outdoor cats, two of whom have really taken to it. One of them is a Maine Coon cat who shouldn’t require much “protection” from our mild Virginia winters. So I’m assuming he finds it just plain comfortable. The other was an indoor-only domestic shorthair for 10 years who took to the outdoors after she decided she no longer felt like using the litter box (yuck!). She’s been very happy outside and spends part of the days, as well as overnights, in her shelter. I love the fact that it has 9 temperature settings and a 2, 8 and 12 hour timer.
Very easy to put together. Did not realize that the heat control needs to be protected from the elements. Ended up in the unheated garage, feral cat has used it but doesn’t like being in garage.
Bought this for our outside kitten. She wouldn’t go in it until she realized it was heated. Now that’s where she spends her day. I like the adjustable temperature dial. We live in Kentucky and our weather is all over the place in the winter months. Could be 65 one day and then 35 the next.

At first my outside cat didn’t like the house , I had to remove one of the door now he is in and out of it daily and loves it. More vocal now I think he is say thank you mom I’m warm and safe.
We have one male outside cat that use to live with other cats close by. He is the only one left and we feed him on our front porch. We would like for him to stay on the porch, warm and safe, during the winter. My son absolutely loves him & wants him safe. He has been in the house before and was fine with it. We are going to put 4 large zip strips to make sure it stays where we place it, even when the wind is wicked.
The house is sturdy and must feel safe. We moved and discovered a feral female cat around 8 years old living under our porch. The neighbor said the cat had been around for several years and she never saw kittens. She wouldn’t come near us but was hungry and ate food we set out. I bought the cat house and lured her to it with treats. After a few days she stayed in the warm bed every night. She still won’t let us near her, but we know she has a warm, safe place to sleep and food. I’m very pleased with the purchase. We call her Marge.
I wouldn’t recommend this for being outside in the elements, at least not in Minnesota. It Velcro’s together. I use it in our garage for our 2 kittens and it works great in there. The heating pad warms them up without getting them to warm. Our garage is unheated.
When gone an extended time i worry about her staying wsrmand safe.

I bought a more expensive heated cat house last month and I recommended this one over the other. It’s sturdier, easier to assemble, looks better in person, has better heating pad, removable flaps for the entrances, and it was cheaper.
I have several feral cats that visit my yard. I wanted to do something to provide a wam bed for those who choose to stay. These houses are very portable and lightweight. One feature I really like is that you can adjust how many o hours it’s on and the amount of heat provided in the bed. I don’t leave them out in the rainy weather so the beds stay dry.
There were no instructions as how to use the timer on the heated pad – or how it should be connected to an outside cord. We also did not receive the faux fur pad which lies on top of the heater.
The house is well made and very adorable, but costly. It should include much more information about the heating element, and timer. That is very important to a new owner.
we had a stray adopt us. We were concerned about her being out in winter. Bought this as a backup for a safe place for her in our garage (at the time she wouldn’t come in the house).
It is very easy to put together and just the right size.
The warming bed and mechanism is great… not too hot and just right for cats.
The house is water proof (we poured water on it to see) so that was good for rain.
The “Doors” are flimsy, plastic flaps that are held on by velcro.
The cat won’t even go near the house if those are there. She acts like they are “sticky”
Also the house is very light. We purposely left it on the deck on a windy day. It blew into the neighbor’s yard. There are ties to strap it down with (camping tent style) but that won’t work well on a patio or porch.
While the bed is warmed, even with the flaps there isn’t anything to keep real cold or snow out.
I do recommend a garage, covered patio, or protected shelter for outside use.
Since then the cat has become an indoor cat.
The house works VERY well as a cozy hiding spot for her and she uses it every evening.
for us, it is still a good purchase.
Cons: Two things concern me. First, the thermostat doesn’t seem to be weather proof so I placed it inside a ziplock bag to help keep moisture away. Second, the heating function has to be set every 2-12 hours. This is only a problem in that I have to remember to turn it own in the evenings or when the temperature in going to be cold.
Shipping took 2 days longer than expected. Super easy to assemble. Put it together in about 5 minutes start to finish. Heated mat is warm on the highest setting – not so warm on the lower settings. It’s a nice house for the money, but the problem is my cat won’t go in it. He hates it. Not sure if it’s because it’s dark inside (mat and walls are black) or what, but he won’t go in it no matter how we entice him. It was 36 degrees here last night and instead of going in the warm house, he slept elsewhere. Not sure why. Will come back to update if he decides he likes it.
Great product – only complaint is that I have to manually turn on the heat for our stray cat every night. Come winter – it’s not uncommon to have -60 below on occasion here in MN – I am concerned about remembering to go out twice daily to turn the heat on for the cat.
Our 17 year olds cat that refuses to come inside loves it. Nice to have a cozier place for her.

We’ll see how it holds up. Looks to be weather proof. Heater has local control; so, I had to replace with one that heats when power applied to allow for zigbee control. Light weight, so it must be anchored or weighted.

It’s a little bit of a pain to put together by yourself. It’s a little easier with two people. The thing I wasn’t too crazy about is the fact that it’s all held together with Velcro. I would have at least expected zippers covered by Velcro. But Velcro by itself makes it a real pain in the ass to line up the panels correctly and evenly. Other than that the house itself seems nice. The cat seems to love it.
The heating pad is ok. It warms the house up a little but not where you can expect your cat to survive a winter night when it’s 8 degrees out. So basically the heating pad is good for chilly nights during the spring and fall. It’s unnecessary for summer and inadequate for winter nights.
Overall I’m happy with the house but I don’t live in it so you’d have to ask my cat.
The one thing I didn’t like was the timer on the heating control. I used my heating pad out of my old cat house instead.(No thermostat or timer)

This little house is for my cats as I cannot let them stay inside with me due to allergies. The house has to be set up in a weatherproof area. On a porch or covered patio or garage. It cannot get wet. It cannot be on the ground. In a covered area with the heating pad plugged in is perfect for you little outdoor pets in the coldest of winter. It is not weatherproof at all. Very easy to assemble and , if kept out of the weather , it should last forever years ! Good for cats or dogs.

I really like these cat houses and so do my cats. There easy to clean and they have two clear plastic doors that attach in side of the openings. Perfect hid away.
Because of the time it took to get my fur home you had refunded my money. Which was cool. 5 days later it showed up. I love it my cat absolutley loves it and came when our weather was 29 degrees out. Very easy to assemble..I’ve had this outside in the elements for a few weeks now and it is holding up just fine.
I have a cat that cannot live in the house with my other cats because she just wants to fight. She has to live in my garage with access to the outdoors. This winter has been sort of cold so I bought this little heated house for her. She loves the house and sleeps in it when the weather is cold. I don’t have to feel guilty about her living in the garage now. What a wonderful help!
My cats love this. The temp has gotten in the teens and because they are outside cats I needed something to keep them warm. Two cats share the space. They are pretty big too.

It was easy to put together, easy to clean and should hold up as long as it is not out in full weather conditions.
I have mine on my porch with a overhang so no rain or snow get’s on it.
Don’t put the house out in your backyard because the temperature controller is not weatherproof.
That would be a great improvement, weatherize the controller for the heating pad.
There are 2 settings, low and high. The low setting you can barely feel the heat off the pad but maybe when the cat is laying down they can feel it. The high setting puts a decent amount of heat out and for cold nights should be helpful. All in all it should do the job.
Goes together easily, using velcro. Cats seem to like it; took about 3 days before they decided to move in. Comes with a 24 hr times. Strangely, the control unit built into the power cord does not appear to be waterproof.

Our neighborhood is honored by the presence of a sweet calico who is probably between 12 and 15 years old. She is not feral and “belongs” to the neighborhood. Five neighbors give her regular high quality food. She seems quite happy but I was worried about her as winter approached. Two years ago I gave her a wooden doghouse, but she wouldn’t come near it. To my amazement she likes the heated cathouse and has been going in it from the first night. I think the fact that it has two openings made a big difference. Thanks for supplying these wonders!
Loved that it is lightweight so I can easily put it anywhere. It was so easy to assemble; I think it may have taken 5 minutes to set up. Also love the soft furry bed.

This is a nicely made, soft framed cat house. Our mama cat and kittens love it.
It must be warmer than others I have purchased as my outdoor cat is spending a lot more time in this “winter” version. I coaxed him in with catnip and left the plastic flap off for now.
Very easy to assemble. Set it up and Phoebe jumped in and hasn’t come out yet. My cat is an indoor cat who likes to venture out to the deck. With winter coming I wanted her to still be outside while being in a waterproof environment and a house that was off the ground. Love this cat house!
This cat house met expectations even though the stray cat is afraid of it. Hopefully when it gets cold, he will use it.
My only real complaint was that I could not figure out how to make the timer work. There aren’t any instructions on how to properly operate it. I sent an email out for help and within a couple of hours, I received a reply from Karen who walked me through how to use it, including pictures and even a video that showed exactly what to do. So great customer service with that.

We have had this cat house for about a week, and so far our cat loves it! We had to prompt her a little at first, but now she can be found sleeping in it all day. Will be interested to see how it holds up for her in the colder weather. Was very easy to put together!
What I like about the house was it was easy to assemble and light .
This little house is perfect for 1 outdoor cat, I doubt 2 could fit comfortably. Generally cats like to be in at least 2’s if they live outside for more protection from predators. I would still purchase it again because the elements can be pretty harsh in the winter time in Colorado and this will help protect the cat from freezing.
Very good quality product. Happy with what I received. I kind of wish the entrance opening was just a hair larger since I have a bigger cat, but it’s still working out well for us. I love the heating pad that this house comes with. And having the house lifted off of the cold ground makes a world of difference in the winter when my wild/garage cat needs a place to warm up or sleep. Totally worth the money spent.

My cat likes it. I’ve found him in it a few times but never in the rain or cold. Mainly just sunny but windy afternoon nap times! LOL! Maybe once I add in the heating pad he’ll like it for bad weather.

It took about 2 weeks for my outside cat to go in it. Once my cat went inside of it he loved it. This cat I adopted as someone must have just moved out and left him and he had been living on his own, for a few years. Why do people do this to pets? If you don’t want them, please take them to a no kill shelter. Here in Reno we have a wonderful shelter for them. Please spay or neutered. I have also adopted a female feral cat, hope to take her to be spayed as she has a few litters .
She loves it, I have to take it in at night to keep strays out of it. She doesn’t like their scent in it…. warm, cozy, heats well. The heated pad is worth a million. I keep it under our covered porch for daytime coziness so kitty has a waterproof place to get out of the wind and elements. I’d buy it again.
I bought this heated house for a stray kitty that I had been feeding through the summer. We had taken her to the the animal shelter and they now vaccinate, neuter, chip them and take them back to the neighborhood they came from. We get really cols here in the winter and I couldn’t stand the thought of her being that cold. As soon as I set it up she was in it and I know she has been warm all winter.

We have a stray cat who’s been coming around for a couple of years now. We live in New York and it gets cold in the winter. We bought the shelter to keep the cat warm. At first she didn’t want anything to do with it but eventually she started using it and now she is in there all the time. I am very happy with this purchase!

I bought this heated cat house for my outdoor cat. It stays warm and she really seems to like it. I was nervous at first that she wouldn’t go in it, so I took the front flap off. She definitely uses this house, especially on the cold nights and when it’s rainy. I like the fact that it’s raised up off the ground so the bottom doesn’t get wet. I would definitely recommend this cat house.

its great but my Sir Marmalade will only go in to eat his treats. We are waiting for some bad weather (we live outside Buffalo so we won’t have a long wait) He also has a bed with lights and heat in our barn so it may take a little more time…Easy to set up love it best part it does not sit on the ground.

I did not like the instructions. The instructions and pictures did not show clearly where the flaps at the bottom were to connect.
We’re very happy with it and my sister-in-law in Germany has also ordered one for her mostly outside cat. Side note, for some reason they had more options for the outside design (cosmetic) on Amazon.de.
