5.0 out of 5 stars Great toy for under 12 months old too
I watched a video recommending toys for 6-9 months old and this one came up and what a great one it was for my little 7 months old. She doesn’t use it as intended but picking the wooden colourful pieces out and now with 9 months starting to pitting them back into the holes has really helped with her fine motoric. This toy is very long lasting and great even for under 12 months olds as they are not a choking hazard.

    Favorite toy.
My grandson loves this toy. He laughs every time one pops out. Requires precision to
pop the peg into the hole then pop it out. Great little toy. And not plastic!

    Babies and Toddlers love this
A simple but great toy for interacting with your little one. At first I spent time showing them how to flick the pieces out but now they are flicking themselves and gaining the coordination to catch the pieces

    Fascinating for 12-18 Months
I cannot explain why but this toy is absolutely fascinating for ages 12-18 months. Bought for my kids birthday as it’s in a group we go to and my twins loved it! One twin in particular cannot get enough of just pushing the little men up and down. It’s honestly the one toy they really fight over – but I refuse to buy two of everything!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGood quality timeless toy
Good to teach cause-effect and hand eye coordination. Nice colours, good material and sturdy, good size too (see photo for dimensions). Younger babies won’t be able to trigger the pop-up mechanism but they will have fun taking the cilinder sticks out and putting them inside they toy. Made in UK.

    Great entertainment for toddlers
I was given one of these for my first granddaughter, she enjoys it so much I just had to get one for the second. The two year old still loves to play with it and to hear her giggle as she pops the men into the air is magic.

    Fun Toy
This is a great choice for parents looking for a fun and educational toy for their children. It’s made from high-quality wood, making it durable and safe for kids to play with. The pop up feature provides an interactive and engaging experience that children will love. This is a great investment for parents. I can see my daughter playing with it for years to come. Overall, I highly recommend the Galt wooden pop up toy to anyone looking for a well-made and enjoyable toy for their child.

Great toy Kept my 13 month olds attentio
Of all the gifts “Santa” brought, this was easily a favourite of my 13 month old. He hasn’t quite got the concept of making them pop up yet but he enjoys putting them in the holes. Great gift. Would highly recommend if looking for something that isn’t battery powered or talking in any way

My 9 month old loves this, although he’s hasn’t mastered or wants to put them in, he loves taking them out! We have had no issues with it breaking. One of my favourites to have on display, amazing for the price of it!

    Lovely, well made wooden toy.
My only complaint is that it is much smaller than I expected. Disappointed in size.

Aids creative play and handling to even a baby under 12 months.
I am amazed at how much my baby, who is under 12 months, uses this Galt toy. She can take the coloured sticks out of the holes and put them back in, obviously not into the correct colour. She also bangs the coloured sticks to make them jump out of the holder. This sturdy well made toy will be used for a long time and I am delighted.

    Easily my baby’s favourite toy!
This is a wonderful wooden toy for babies. My little one plays with this more than any of her other toys. I got it for her when she was very little and obviously as she’s got older she can do more with it. She’s 11 months now and still seeks the pegs out first. She can’t make them jump out yet but we do that and she giggles at them flying out. It’s a great price for a well made toy and it’s wonderful that it’s wood and not another piece of plastic rubbish! Highly recommended.

    Brilliant Toy
Have bought lots of these as gifts over the years because it is such a great learning toy. My son has autism and it was something that his Speech Therapist used to try and engage him in play, he loved putting the colours in order, stacking the pegs, seeing how high he could get the pegs to spring. Really fun and useful toy to have.

    Great toy however…
Great toy. My baby loves it. There is one no no though: the corners. As the toy is quite heavy for a 1 year old, having sharp corners at the base isn’t ideal.

    Favourite Toy
I bought this toy for my little girl after seein someone recommend on Facebook. It’s been a favourite of hers for months now! I’ve bought it for others as a 1st birthday gift and friends have said their little ones love it too. Great for fine motor practice. Slightly annoying for mum though when the little wooden pegs go missing

    Fabulous toy
The toy is an old one but a good one. I bought this toy 40 yrs ago for my children and have just bought it for my great niece (just one yrs).
It encourages finger control to press down, colour sorting, hand eye co-ordination to replace after they jump out when pressed, it’s simply fun, and of course it is the perfect dimensions to chew(which is all important when you are one).
Nothing to break, easy to clean, children just love it (and so did all the uncles who gathered round to play with it too)

Keeps them entertained for a long period of time
I have had this product for all of my children and from a young age it can capture their attention and develops as the child gets older. Initially it’s fun seeing them pop out and allowing your little one to grab the sticks but it leads to great fine motor skills of pushing them down as well as colour recognition. A big hit in our house and a brilliant gif

    Excellent however..
Excellent toy in general. Only thing to add is the corners could and should be rounded off to make it safer for toddlers and babies. My baby absolutely loves this toy and has now mastered it with the exception of the colour sorting which hopefully is yet to come. This is a toy that can grow with your child.

    Beware of the small elements
This is a great little toy, very well made, looks amazing. The only issue is the wooden pegs are so small they are a serious choking hazard so you can’t look away for even a second when your baby is playing with them.

    Okay
Bought as a gift. Even though the Amazon packaging was in perfect condition, the actual box for the toy is a total mess – soggy and falling apart. The toy itself seems to be fine but irritating that now I have to find a different box for it since it looks like it’s been left outside in the rain.

    My baby daughter’s favourite toy!
Since my little girl got it at the age of 6 months until now (1yo) she has been playing with this toy every day! She has been playing with it differently in the last few months at different stages of her development, we found that it really trains her focus and patience and just keeps on giving, she is now proficient at putting the pegs inside the holes and started matching the colours. She can spend hours taking the pegs out and putting them back in again. Great Montessori style toy!

Bought this following a recommendation for my baby’s first birthday. She has not stopped playing with it for the past six months. It’s the only toy she has ever fully concentrated on. Absolutely loves it and spends hours slotting in the pegs and hysterically giggling at popping them out. I am now buying them for all my friend’s babies when they turn one.

    'Attention Autism' toy
I bought this to add to my collection of Stage 1 “bucket toys” for my Attention Autism group.
It has been a hugely popular toy that has so far, provided opportunities to support Joint Focus and language acquisition around topics of colour, general numeracy, and mathematical terminology such as those pertaining to differentiating hight.
I fully expect it will provide many more years of service to our SEND students as a learning resource.
