As my daughter is dinosaur obsessed, we do do have a few remote control dinosaurs and this one is the best. The way it moves is great, runs over my carpets and rugs with a decent amount of speed. Has all your usual dino noises and the build quality is pretty good. My reason for knocking a star off is I just think 50 is a bit too much for it….it is good though

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt seems to be a good build quality. The remote is easy to use once you have got used to it. They say that it only takes 2 hours to fully charge but I would say nearer 3 hours from flat. How long a playtime you get on a charge, I have yet to find out. They do say in the instruction 2 hrs. Shame there is not a mute button for the roaring. After an hour I think it will drive you barmy. Overall the product is sound as seem to work very well. I would recommend to buy one if you have a careful child or they are 5+

This dinosaur cought my attention the second I saw it so I had to order it. It comes in a large box and with all needed accessories. The only piece you need to assemble is tail and it simply clicks so after putting battieries in the remote it is ready to play with. It is very realistic design and also the sound is realistic too! Kids were so excited when they’ve seen this toy and played with it many hours already. It gives so much fun and excitement so even if it is quite loud, I was able to spend time with my friend while chilrdren run around the house with this dinosaur. I love it and I ordered another one so kids don’t argue about it. The controller is easy to use and comfortable to hold. It’s a perfect toy! Highly recommended!

This GILOBABY Remote Control Dinosaur Toy comes in a nice box, which makes it very much giftable.

I ordered this for my 8yers old son as he started to spend more time in front of the screen playing games, and I wanted to encourage him to play with toys.
He enjoyed playing with it for 1 hour, and then he lost interest; when I ask him, he says this dinosaur just walk, shake and roars nothing else. So I think this toy is for 3-6 years children. It’s my personal experience, though; It is impossible to know if your child likes it without trying it.

The assembly was easy; you need 2 x AA batteries for the remote, which you need to buy your own. The tail needs to clip into place, and I didn’t have to charge the toy as it was already fully charged, so I was ready to go.

The dinosaur is quite large Approx 19.29inch long and 6.69inch tall. The colour and detail is quite good, looks accurate from far. The base is also good, It doesn’t fall over on my laminate floor, but when I tried it in my room where I have carpet, It often falls over.

The sound is Okey; it doesnt make me go wow sound quality-wise. Also, it would be best to get used to remote as there is no symbol for forward, reverse, etc.

I hope this review helps you to make a purchasing decision.

This Rc dinosaur toy with 2.4g remote controller, can forward, backward, turn left, turn right, dancing with roaring.
Dinosaur toy can walking, shaking head and tail.
It is quite fun to play with it and is easy to use the remote too.
Personally wouldn’t recommend for kids under at least 3 or 4 as they can get scar
Otherwise would be such a lovely gift for dinosaur lovers

This is a great gift for any young dinosaur lover. It is incredibly well made and detailed, the sculpting is amazing, there are individual bumps all of the dinosaur that are very detailed and well made, it is very realistic. The movement works well, it is not the most balanced of remote control toy, it really struggles to make it over obstacles. The movement itself is very strange, it is very mechanical and a little unerring which is kind of nice for a dinosaur, it really reminds me of the dinosaurs from the jurassic Park movies.

The controller is also really cool with the buttons arranged like a dinosaur, this is a really nice touch. We found that a lot of the time it is actually best left in demo mode so it will go through its functions with no need to control it and this is great fun to watch.

This dinosaur toy is nice and large but the design is not the best. The dinosaur looks very strange with overlong arms and the quality is not quite there in the details. The sound quality of the noises is also not great but the remote controllable movements an delights add some extra fun.
Overall this is a good toy if you like the dino design.
I hope you find this review helpful.

    Good features

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAn great toy for dinosaur fans. The remote is very good. You can get the dinosaur to walk, shake his head and tail.

My grandson thinks this is great fun. Along with other toy dinosaurs he has been playing with this for ages.

My twenty month old granddaughter loves dinosaurs but is terrified of this so it only comes out when she’s not here.

    It roars quite loud lol

This is a decent remote control dinosaur but I’ve seen better at this price. I think with a few tweaks this could be so much better.

    Mixed thoughts about i

Toys have definitely evolved over the years and this is a great one for a pre-historic hi-jinks. Getting started is easy enough once you’ve installed the batteries in the remote and put Mr Raptor’s tail on. The remote is quite unique, a bit Flintstone like and not particularly intuitive but I like it. As for the dino itself, well he roars about (literally) at quite a pace (best on hard floors) and definitely looks and sounds the part with his red eyes and sharp teeth and claws. Very good fun and rechargeable too though quite pricey at fifty pounds currently.

This is quite a large remote control dinosaur, it’s a velociraptor design, although it’s arms look slightly too long and out of proportion it still looks really well designed and quite realistic, it’s well made too.

The tail needs clicking on when you open the box, it’s rechargeable and takes around 2 hours to charge , the remote control takes batteries.

The remote control is different to your average controller with the buttons in the shape of a dinosaur, it makes it quite easy to operate, even for small children.

The dinosaur walks and roars and there is a demo button you can press to quickly see the dinosaur in action.

The dinosaur feels really well made and durable , it’s a good size too, it would make a really good present or surprise for small children, I mean what child doesn’t love dinosaurs and RC toys.

The price seems a tad expensive at 49.99 at the time of review, but it’s a well made toy that children will find a lot of fun.

A lovely gift for my youngest son, who is absolutely keen about dinosaurs and vehicles. A neat design feature of this remote controlled dinosaur is the way the arms are placed.

They’re made in a way where, even though they’re arms, they act like frontal legs. It helps keep the dinosaur balanced and not fall face first when walking.

The remote control is a bit confusing so make sure to refer to any sort of guide that is given. The dinosaur can be recharged through a USB cable and it takes about 2 hours for it to be fully charged.

Quality wise, the dinosaur itself is fairly rigid. The controller feels a bit cheap however and it doesn’t help that at times, the button presses don’t exactly correspond to the action the dinosaur is doing.

For the price, I’d at least expect the button presses to match exactly what the dinosaur is doing. I was pretty close to giving it an average score but my son has spent a good amount of time on this and he’s been pretty happy with it so it’s a four star.

    Thank you for reading.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFirst impressions Bigger than I thought Looks great.
First the remote control I don’t like it when the Battery compartment is screwed down (spoils the excitement looking for a screwdriver that fits) and then I found it very hard to slide the cover off.( takes two AA batteries. (shame its not Usb same the Model itself)
The Dinosaur itself, you only have to connect the tail and I like how easy it was a simple push and click and its ready for action. The on off switch is under the belly and then you just need to charge using the USB lead.
I like how easy it is to turn on and play however the controls are a little hard to get used to but once you do its easy to control and you get some nice effect from lights to sounds when the model walks. I did find that it fell over a bit on carpet and if it changes the surface it walks on ( on flat floors it worked great).
The instructions are ok well written and easy to understand. The remote control is fairly easy to understand but theirs a lot to remember.
Price point for me is a little high.

This will make a child very happy!
    Large and robust toy.
Easy to get going, just need to add batteries to the remote.
The dinosaur itself is rechargeable using a wire that is provided.
The toy moved back and forth confidently, roars, lights up and swishes it’s tail.
It’s quite the spectacle and lots of fun for a child to play around with.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a good sized, fairly realistic dinosaur that is good quality plastic. It’s really easy to get going without spending ages assembling etc. It does come charged so you can play with it straight away. It’s quite noisy but it is amusing when it starts running around. It doesn’t turn very well, it has quite a wide turning circle and does tend to fall over. The control pad is not very intuitive at all, which is a shame for young kinds. It’s an interesting design having the controls be a skeleton dinosaur but it makes no sense. They all look like buttons but not all of them are. I think one is a demo mode as it just goes crazy and does what it likes. But the buttons are not like a directional key pad, to go backwards you press the arm which is on the left. So it is a bit hit and miss but for kids I don’t think they would be bothered.

Amusing, easy to set up but the control pad isn't intuitive

A good looking remote dinosaurs but not without its problems. The Dino seems well built and feels a substantial toy to hold. When it arrives, the tail has to be attached by clicking into place and then pressing a button to remove again if you wish. The dino took a couple of hours to charge via the usb wire. The remote control needed 2 x AA batteries.

This toy will excite kids at first as its interesting, it moves quite fast, roars and responds to the controller but its playability is slightly limited although what’s more annoying is it falls down quite a lot! This makes my kids frustrated and they soon lose interest. For the price tag, this will not keep them entertained for long, so will end up being a costly ornament. If the item didnt fall over so much the price might be justified as the Dino does look impressive but I think for my kids anyway, this will just end up being a one day wonder and then consigned to the toy cupboard.

A large realistic dinosaur. It has a remote control to make it move, roar, and flash its lights. It walks in a realistic way and quite fast to. It seems well made and robust and the remote is easy to use. Any dinosaur fan will love this probably from age 5 upwards to about 10 years. I think it is good value for 49.99 and will provide lots of fun.

    Realistic and fun.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersGILOBABY Remote Control Dinosaur Toy with Sound and Light

Some months ago I received a very similar toy to this, in fact I’m sure it was from the same company. The toy was a large remote control T-Rex, which to be honest was great fun, it walked, roared and has flashy lights. The only downside was that it took a large number of batteries for power. This Raptor is a very similar Dinosaur toy that overcomes that problem as it has it’s own built in rechargeable battery. The only batteries that are required are for the remote control which last a very long time when compared to that of a moving Dinosaur.

Here we have ‘Raptor’ which is essentially a model of a Velociraptor. I’m sure we’ve all seen the film where these have been portrayed as the most intelligent and deadly Dinosaurs of them all. Well you need to be scared!… this toy is so realistic, you are going to want to run and hide when you turn this on. It certainly put a scare into our little girl when it was activated and began fiercely roaring at her.

The tail is supplied separate from the main body, but that just clips into place with the minimum of thought or effort. This is quite a large toy measuring 50 cm in length x 18 cm in height. It looks so realistic, the attention to detail is amazing, even down to its cold orange lizard eyes that seem to look at you as if you are his lunch.

This is quite a speedy Dinosaur when compared to the T-Rex that I have, the T-Rex is slow and lethargic with lots of flashy lights. This Raptor literally runs across the ground roaring and growling on the way. You can steer him left or right as he moves along the ground. He doesn’t have as many flashy lights which is probably to help conserve battery power. His mouth lights up blue when he’s activated.

The remote control requires 2 x AA batteries which are not supplied, but these should last quite a long time. The remote resembles a grey rock with the buttons shaped like a Dinosaur. These buttons are used to control the Raptor: Forwards, Backwards, left, Right, Demo and Power. Demo mode will activate the dinosaur to move and react as a demonstration of what he can do.

The asking price of 49.99 may seem a little expensive, but this is a lot of toy for the money. Personally I feel it’s worth it as the toy does have a rechargeable battery, so running costs will be low. I loved my T-Rex and I equally love this Raptor too – Highly Recommended!

My Grandchildren are 2 & 3 and they really loved this! It wasn’t as big as I thought it would be from the image but the kids were still extremely excited to put the batteries in and each take a turn figuring out the controller. It’s quite hard for them to remember which button does which but the older kids seemed to pick it up more more than the little one. It’s quite expensive for what you get but overall I still think the kids really enjoyed it, it didn’t captivate their interests for too long but that might have been because they were fed up at sharing at that point. I really reccomend it if you have a dino lover regardless!

    The Grandkids loved it.

This is the most realistic dinosaur I have ever seen. With a remote control it is almost ready to go out of the box – you just need to click the tail into place and the remote needs two batteries (not included). Our little one is four and he has enormous fun playing with this and I think this is about the right age upwards. On the box the recommended age is 6 years plus but I would say from 4 to 6 years is about right.

The dinasour itself is so fast, it goes frontwards and backwards and from side to side. It roars and falls over. It seems to fall over quite a lot but that does not detract from its play value. Quite expensive at 50.00 but a brilliant birthday or Christmas present.
