I bought this to replace my petrol chainsaw. I wasn’t sure if this would be man enough but he reviews seemed good. It is truely brilliant. So easy to use and definitely powerful enough for even the largest trunks. The instructions for assembly of the chain were not the best. It helped that I had previous experience but I guess you can u tube for help. Lovely piece of ki
Handliche, preiswerte und leistungsfähige Akkusäge
Ich verwende seit einigen Jahren Greenworks-Gerte, darunter inzwischen 3 Kettensgen (1 x 80 Volt, 2 x 40 Volt). Der Einsatz der Akkusgen ist vor allem interessant, wo Motorsgen zu laut sind. Mit leistungsstrkeren Motorsgen knnen die Akkusgen nur bedingt mithalten. Die Akkusgen sind aber pflegleichter und um mal schnell einen Ast abzusgen sind sie schneller einsetzbar. Ich verwende die Sgen vorwiegend zur Brennholzaufbereitung. Allerdings habe ich auch schon Baumfllungen damit durchgefhrt. Mit der 80-Volt-Variante habe ich schon mal mit einer Akkuladung 2 Bume mit gut 50 cm Stammdurchmesser gefllt. Mit der hier zu bewertenden Sge habe ich gestern eine Fichte mit ca. 25 cm Stammdurchmesser gefllt. Ich wollte das einfach mal ausprobieren. Fr die Brennholzaufbereitung und gelegentliche Rckschnittarbeiten an strkeren Struchern, aber auch zum gelegentlichen Fllen kleinerer Bume, sind die 40-Volt-Gerte ideal. Die hier zu bewertende Sge ist aufgrund des Aufbaus und des kurzen Schwertes fr Rckschnittarbeiten sehr gut geeignet. Es gibt auch ein 40-Volt-Gert von Greenworks mit grerer Schwertlnge (40 cm) und etwas lngerer Bauform, das ich fr die Brennholzaufbereitung lieber einsetze. Die Akkus sind gleich.

J’ai achet cette trononneuse pour des coupes occasionnelles dans le jardin et je ne suis pas du ! La puissance est suffisante pour mon besoin mais n’attendez pas couper un arbre avec… J’ai achet une batterie supplmentaire et je tiens 30 minutes avec une batterie

Sgt zuverlssig, auch dickeres Holz. Kettenl luft teilweise aus, Fllstand nicht ablesbar.
J’ai pu tronconner mon abricotier mort trs pais (50cm de diamtre) sans soucis, et mme dligner quelques belles planches. Le tout avec des batteries de 2 ampres, je ne m’attendais pas ce qu’elle soit aussi efficace !
Du coup, j’ai la simplicit de l’lectrique (dmarrage trs simple), les batteries se vident certes rapidement, mais avec un jeu de 2, je n’ai pas t gn en alternant les charges.
Bref, je recommande !
I bought this with the 2 Ah battery and have been presently surprised by the amount of power and battery life. It is quite capable for clearance and logging of small 6″ diameter trees. Each time I stopped to clear the work area or take a break I put the battery on charge so I didn’t run out. The only issue I had was after cutting a larger tree trunk of 12″, which took a while, the battery was to warm to charge. Time for a tea break!
The small oil tank lasts just a bit longer than a full charge, you might have to refill it if using the larger 4Ah battery.
This doesn’t have the power of a petrol machine obviously, the chain speed is not as high so the cutting speed is slower. I prefer this as the degree of personal injury possible is somewhat mitigated!
Charging times are quicker than expected but I haven’t measured it yet.
All in a good buy and I intend to buy more compatible outdoor machines in this range

Diese kleine Sge ist der “Hammer”.
Sehr leicht und damit gut zu hndeln; hohe Durchzugskraft auch bei etwas dickerem Material und optisch ein echter Hingucker.
Habe schon einen Akku-Rasenmher von Greenworks, mit dem ich auch sehr zufrieden bin. Die Akkusge hat allerdings alle Erwartungen bertroffen. Bin sehr zufrieden.

Beaucoup mieux que mes trononneuses thermiques. Trs lgre, ce qui permets de couper avec une seule main, puissante et surtout silencieuse. Je l’ai utilise pour dbiter un saule abattu par le vent. Avec une batterie de 2500mah, j’ai pu travailler 3 heures car la batterie ne s’use que pendant la coupe contrairement une thermique qui consomme du carburant au ralenti et qu’on doit redmarrer sans arrt. Excellent achat en ce qui me concerne.

Supera le aspettative
Premetto che ancora ho usato poco la motosega ma gi dai primi tagli posso dire che supera le aspettative. Considerando il costo non ha nulla da invidiare ad altre Marche, la batteria consente di lavorare per quasi mezz’ora, il peso veramente contenuto, insomma quello che cercavo come supporto alla motosega tradizionale a scoppio.
Ho comprato questo articolo come usato, ma in realt non so cosa intendono per usato in quanto e senza un graffio , funziona bene lo usato oggi con una sola batteria ho fatto un bel Po di lavoro, anche se ogni tanto mi fermavo 5 minuti per non farla sforzare molto, devo dire che si comportata egregiamente. Avrei preferito che la parte anteriore, pi precisamente quella che va a contato con il tronco fosse stata in ferro,e non in plastica. Comunque pi in l’ha avr modo di dare un ulteriore opinione. Comunque considerato il costo mi sembra abbastanza buona .

Favolosa motosega, pratica .. versatile, per chi deve tagliare poche cose .. di rado. Fa il suo ottimo lavoro. Olio e caricare batteria, eccezionale, non ci sono perdite di tempo, alberi da sistemare a tempo perso, ideale questa motosega, per momenti di relax e la cura delle piante.

La spedizione non stata veloce come al solito, ho aspettato molto. Al momento funziona molto bene ed ha un ottima coppia per tagliare tronchi anche grandi. La cosa che devo ancora capire la durata della batteria. Comunque credo non superi i 30 minuti di lavoro continuato.

Spedizione in tempi record, motosega perfettamente funzionante con un ottimo rapporto qualit prezzo. La batteria dura circa un ora, anche di pi se si tagliano rami piccoli e la catena pur girando a velocit inferiore rispetto ad altre motoseghe taglia perfettamente. Molto silenziosa e maneggevole, batteria ed olio catena vanno di pari passo… Consigliatissima!
Super Akku Kettensäge
Habe diese Akkukettensge fr meinen Papa bestellt und er ist sehr zufrieden mit ihr. Er wollte diese haben, da er meinte der Gewichtsmittelpunkt sei optimal fr die Sgearbeiten. Er ist allgemein von den Greenworks Produkten berzeugt.

good useful tool, bought to replace my old 2-stroke Echo bought post 1987 hurricane, if you only need occasional use of such a tool this is a useful answer.
Amorçage huile de coupe
Bonne petite trononneuse, attention la premire utilisation l’huile de chane est longue venir d’o je pense certains commentaires ce sujet. Pour ma part j’ai retir le guide et la chane et fait tourner le moteur jusqu’ ce l’huile sorte par le petit trou puis remontage, la chane est lubrifie.
Sono piacevolmente stupito e soddisfatto! Ho potato un intero campo di olivi in mezza giornata, attrezzo maneggevole leggero facile sicuro ed ecologico. La recensione con una sola stella presente andrebbe rimossa in quanto si riferisce alla mancanza di batteria e carica batteria chiaramente indicata nell’annuncio
This thing is a real beast! Wasted a 70 footer oak, 25 inches ground diameter in about 6 hours. Wifey gave a priceless help. Took 2 and a half batteries of 4 amp. This is my 5th Greenworks tool and I’m really happy with all of them.

There was something wrong with the chain after a few days of using but the suppliers were wonderful – with no quibble, it was collected the next day and a new one delivered the day after. All good so far, very impressed with both the chainsaw and the great service.
Klare Kaufempfehlung für schnelle Arbeiten zwischendurch
Ich kaufte die Sge, weil ich den Akku schon hatte (Rasenmher). Bin sehr zufrieden. Montage war kinderleicht. Luft tadellos. Mein Hauptzweck sind Arbeiten in Haus und Garten (Zaunerrichtung, Fensterbretter basteln, Baumschnitt im Garten…) Die Sge ist wirklich leise fr solch ein Gert und erfllt ihren Zweck sehr gut. Auch ich schliee mich der Meinung an, dass sie natrlich nicht den Durchzug hat wie eine klassische MS aber das habe ich auch nicht erwartet. Ich finde es toll, dass man jederzeit ohne Vorbereitung mit der Arbeit starten kann, nix mitschleppen muss und im Ggsz zu einer elektrischen Sge eben maximal flexibel ist. Auch angenehm ist das leichte Gewicht, weil man nicht so schnell ermdet und natrlich dass die Sge nahezu vibrationsfrei luft. Kettenl tanken nicht vergessen und auf die richtige Kettenspannung achten. (Die Kette soll sich mit 2 Fingern schieben lassen und wenn man sie nach unten vom Schwert wegzieht soll ca 5mm Spiel sein, so dass sie nicht aus der Fhrung hpfen kann, aber auch nicht zu straff draufgeknallt. Il motosega si presenta gi montato e di un utilizzo facilissimo anche ai non esperti. Materiali molto resistenti e una potenza rilevante. Personalmente ho abbinato l’acquisto al decespugliatore con le due batterie da 2ah e devo dire se utilizzato per pezzare dei tronchi di media dimensione o dei tagli di potatura il motosega si comporta egregiamente. Se proprio vogliamo trovare una pecca devo dire che si fa fatica a vedere il livello dell’olio nel serbatoio dall’esterno a causa del colore della plastica e a volte mi ha costretto ad aprire il tappo e controllare. La catena validissima e efficente, non preoccupatevi se dopo qualche ora di utilizzo la scritte della barra cominciano a cancellarsi, mi successa la stessa cosa nel disco del decespugliatore.
Consigliato a chiunque voglia un motosega comodo,semplice e da utilizzare ogni volta che serve.

Hat logischer Weise nicht die Leistung wie meine 4 PS Stihl, ist aber zum Hochsitzbauen und Wegefreischneiden eine sehr gute Alternative. Man kommt mit einem 4 Ah Akku ziemlich weit. Einziges Manko, man sieht nicht ob Kettenl fehlt, auf Verdacht mal nachschauen und nachfllen.

Cette trononneuse 40 volts et trs utile en complment de la dbroussailleuse 40 volts de la mme srie que nous possdons dj.
Nous avons opt pour la 30 cm car la 25 cm semble un peu juste pour les diamtres de bches consquents.
Quant la 40 cm, un peu trop lourde pour les sances de coupe intensives.
Donc, la 30cm est un bon compromis, elle est ni trop lourde, ni trop courte.

With bags of logs selling for 4 each this tool has paid for itself many times over although I am fortunate to have a very large willow tree that got blown down by a high wind. In a month I must have cut 300 quid’s worth of logs with something that cost me 70.

Absolutely fine for the small tasks – chain speed is fairly low so it doesn’t bite and cut in as instantly as a petrol machine but gets the job done, resultant finish is slightly rougher for the same reasons.

Bien sur ce n’est pas une stihl, mais pour les petites coupes, c’est l’idal.
Ca vite de sortir le gros matos, celui qui ncessite un entretien que je trouve pnible. La trononneuse, le coupe bordure qui refuse de dmarrer , j’ai trop connu cela.
J’ai eu l’occasion en tant que testeur amazon de tester un produit de la gamme. Depuis j’ai achet cette trononneuse, un coupe bordure, un souffleur… Je suis pass du 24v au 40v.
Et plus d’entretien et une grande facilit d’utilisation. Bien sur la puissance est infrieur , mais au final, ca me convie
Je ne m’en sers pas tres souvent, donc pas de mise a l’epreuve avec un usage intense. Mon jardiner pensait que c’etait un “jouet pour enfant” mais etait surpris de sa puissance et des resultats. Attention cependant, j’ai un taille-haie de la meme marque, et j’attends toujours le remplacement d’une simple piece en plastique depuis plus d’un mois par la SAV en France. La SAV en Angleterre n’a pas ete super utile a part me confirmer le code de la piece. Si non, il parait qu’on peut commander direct au Canada mais ca fait cher pour la livraison. Donc la SAV en France contacte Greenworks en Suede ou en Allemagne (enfin il y a deux etapes apres celle de la France = galere.) Je ne sais meme pas si je vais recevoir ma piece. Ce sont des machines vraiment pas cheres, mais les vis sont vissees dans du plastique donc pas super solide. Mais pour l’instant je suis ravie de la tronconneuse. Je trouve leur coupe-bordure tres bien, et le taille-haie trop fragile.
Aprs 2 aprs-midi trononner des bches de 5 20 cm je dois dire que c’est un bon petit outil.
Quelques dfauts qui empchent la 5me toile :
– si on ne l’applique pas contre le bois elle saute beaucoup
– si on force dans une grosse bche elle s’arrte donc il faut rappuyer sur marche
– on ne voit pas le niveau d’huile donc il faut regarder de temps en temps
Je l’ai essaye avec la batterie Creabest ou Tradeshop et impeccable.
Lgre, et bonne surprise : la partie qui bloque le guide-chaine est en mtal.

It does a great job for what I want it for. I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend it..
cortando lea va genial,tiene mucha fuerza,rapida,sencilla de manejar,pesa poco,lo cual te desgastas menos,eso si…en cuanto a las ramitas pequeas ,sino las sujetas bien,te rebotaran por que las muerde,pero no es problema sujetandolas bien…las baterias aguantan muy bien…el aceite es el unico pero…consume…y bien…hay que andar al loro..pero le coges el callo enseguida lo del consumo ….muy servicial y comodo…por peso y por el sistema de arranque…la de gasolina a no ser que tenga que cortal un arbol ya gordo gordo…no la vuelvo a usar…clarisimo lo tengo..

La motosierra tiene un funcionamiento bastante correcto. En cuanto al uso que yo le di cortando unos 6 troncos de pino de un 1’5 metros de largo en 4 y unos dimetros de 10 a 15 cm.
La batera se me quedo un poco corta de duracin pero tampoco tengo otra maquina para comparar. Por lo dems recomendable.

its great , not heavy and even I can use it. Even my hard to please hubby likes it better than his heavy petrol model . Nearly got the full set now , pole saw , strimmer , telescopic hedge trimmer , hedge trimmer.. Very impressed I’m going to buy another battery though as all these items are being powered by one battery.

Da man sich ja hier bewusst fr ein akkubetriebenes Gert entscheidet, drfte wohl jedem klar sein, dass man keine Vergleiche mit Benzinsgen anstellen kann.
Die Leistung und Anwendung weicht schon deutlich ab.
Allerdings hat man fr einfache Anwendungen ein Topgert.
Fr mich bot sich der Kauf an, da ich schon einen Rasenmher dieser Marke habe und den Akku zwischen den Gerten tauschen kann.
Ohne vorhanden Akku htte ich wohl eher zur elektrischen Kettensge gegriffen.

Trs content des performances de cette trononneuse qui m’a permis de faire tomber un pin et de le dbiter en tronons de 50 cm sans problme. Vu certains commentaires je pensais que cela me demanderait plus d’efforts, voire que la trononneuse s’essoufflerait avant, mais pas du tout. Je dispose de trois batteries que je peux recharger en rotation et cela m’a parfaitement suffit pour ce travail. Trs content de mon achat.
Great item. Only runs for about half an hour on a 2A hour battery that I bought with the hedge-cutter, but it charges up pretty quickly. Blade oil runs out about the same time as the battery does, so they can be topped up at the same time. Much quieter and cleaner than a two-stroke one and no need to buy petrol. Nice one!

Like many people, I was worried that a battery powered chainsaw wouldn’t be man enough. Have no fear here – this works a treat and it’s so smooth and quiet to use. Remember to add some chainsaw oil to your basket – you need it simply to keep the chain lubricated and you can’t use it without having the oil (which isn’t supplied with the chainsaw).
I’ve never used a chainsaw before but i think this is one handy tool, very light and easy to use, i’ve cut wet and dry wood with this and it eats through it, of course it will be slower than a petrol saw and less powerful but it does the jobs i want to done, i’ve used it on whole trees and its still going, the battery last ages and it charges within an hour.

Amazing, as good / lighter more managble as a bosch mains one I had and more reliable and lighter than some petrol ones I’ve had.
Gets through 12 inch diameter trees no problem. Battery lasts just a few trees of that diameter but charges fast and i could do with a rest anyway, good excuse for a cup of tea.

Habe nun das Gert seit 3 Jahren im Einsatz und wurde noch nicht enttuscht. Mit einem Ersatzakku ist sogar ein fast durchgngiges Arbeiten mglich. Durch den geringeren Geruschpegel konnte auch am Wochenende gearbeitet werden.

2Ah Akku fr meine “Ausflge” in den Wald ausreichend. Werde mir aber sehr wahrscheinlich einen Ersatzakku besorgen.
Les huiles de chaines actuelles sont quasi transparentes, il n’y a aucune visibilit du niveau tellement le plastique du rservoir d’huile de chaine est pais, la jauge devrait tre beaucoup plus transparente. C’est un handicap car comme il n’y a pas de scurit “manque d’huile”, il faut surveiller sans arrt. Sinon, outil trs lger et j’ai mme pas dcharg la batterie aprs 1 heure de travail.

Ich habe mich fr diese Kettensge entschieden, da sie mit einem akku betrieben wird, und damit das nervige befllen (und kleckern) mit Sprit wie bei einer herkmmlichen Benzinkettensge entfllt. Die Sge wird mit einem 4ah Akku benutzt. Das Laden des Akkus dauert ca 2 Stunden. Und ist dann ca.1-1,5 Std. durchweg einsatzbereit.Die Sge zieht bis zum Schlu voll durch. Es gibt keinen Leistugsverlust durch ein halb leeres akku. Fr den normalen Gartengebrauch ist sie bestens zu empfehlen. Bume von einem Durchmesser von 5-20 cm schafft sie mhelos und vorallem leise. Selbst in der Mittagsruhe knnte gesgt werden.

Brilliant little chain saw. I used it to saw 15cm logs in basement and it did the job without a hitch. Battery life is good for about 30 logs and still had some life in it. Easily portable and lightweight and none of the hassle, noise and fumes of using a petrol engine.

The future for chainsaws?
Excellent lightweight, powerful chainsaw, fine for garden use, cutting up a few logs. Added bonus of no smelly 2 stroke engine, but still enough power to give a petrol version a run for its money. The battery power lasts long enough to do a reasonable amount of cutting, and enjoy a cup of tea while it charges for the next lot. I already had the battery for it from my hedge trimmer, so was pleased to be able to buy it without.
Overall, very pleased with it and would buy again.

Great product. Highly recommended. Lightweight, easy to use lasted at least half an hour.
Was able to saw approx 40 logs with one charge. Saw cut through logs up to 15cm on diameter quite easily.

Quiet, light, easy to use chainsaw. I bought this for cutting up tree trunks and so far has worked very well. I was also pleased with the price as I already had the battery and charger from the lawnmower. Only thing i was slightly disappointed with is that it didn’t come with any chainsaw oil so i couldn’t use it until I had bought the oil.

Construction of the tool is actually pretty solid, though it doesn’t initially inspire confidence being made in a particularly lively shade of lime green, as used in children’s toys. The battery (also green), is the size of a small brick and locks positively into both the charger (green again) and the chainsaw. With the battery inserted the chainsaw remains light and very easy to handle, and is nicely balanced in the hand. The safety and on/off switches are immediately to hand and feel right. Pour in a small amount of chain oil and you’re ready to go. The battery has state of charge lights to give you an idea of how much charge remains. Charge time is about an hour, the charger will stop automatically when fully charged, and as the battery is lithium based there is no memory effect.
So, how does it perform? First job was to clear a recently fallen tree — maximum diameter about 12″ (30.5cm) of very dense heavy wood. The cut was remarkably convincing and fast, particularly as the blade is only 13″ long so a number of joined cuts are needed, with a dozen or so unseasoned logs resulting. I then lopped a 9″ bough from an oak tree — no problem. I worked for another 20 minutes or so cleaning up the original tree and cutting small sections of around 3″ diameter. By this time the initial battery charge was showing down to 25% remaining though, so although the saw was not showing signs of slowing down, the battery was put back on charge while I cleared the debris. By the time I had sorted the cut wood out, the battery was fully charged and ready for use again.
The battery and charger are intended to form the hub from which to power various accessories, of which the saw is just one. The battery is the most expensive part of the concept, so there is certainly the temptation to add more accessories.
However, to me the biggest advantage of this tool is its simple convenience and ease of use. With the charger screwed to my shed wall and plugged into an adjacent power point, the chainsaw itself sits on a hanging screw alongside and, with the battery charged, is ready for instant use. Rather like a cordless drill. No need to find fresh petrol, mix it with two stroke it is just so user friendly!
My only reservation is that which I have with all cordless tools is whether the battery will be up to the job. At the price it should be, and first impressions are encouraging. Time will tell.

J’avais quelques doutes, mais les commentaires taient bons. Finalement, cette trononneuse rpond parfaitement mes besoins : branchage ponctuels, sans contrainte ni de fil, ni de carburant. Aprs 5 utilisations, tout fonctionne bien. Bien sr, il ne faut pas compter abattre une fort avec, mais pour de petits travaux au jardin, c’est parfait.
Pour information : avec une batterie de 2Ah, l’autonomie est d’environ 30 minutes.
Edit : aprs 6 ans de bons et loyaux services, le carter vient de cder ! Le problme vient de la griffe en plastique ct du porte-lame : il supporte les chocs mais la longue, il cde. Une partie en mtal aurait peut-tre permis de rallonger la dure de vie ? Dommage, elle fonctionnait bien.

I ordered this with the battery, charger and hedge trimmer. Delighted with them all. Battery charged in less than 2 hours. Charge lasted ages and the saw was just the job. Cut through thick stuff very well, not at all a weak second best. I have a petrol of same size and this is as good I reckon.

This tool v-well made and does the job. I have log burner and it is more than adequate in keeping me well supplied with wood. I read a previous review by a chap who was pleased with the purchase and i endorse all his comments. After it was delivered i was sawing wood in 15mins.

This is my first entry into the field of chainsaws. I wanted a chainsaw for some work around the garden including cutting up some laurel and bay tree braches and trucks that form part of a hedge. The diameter of the trucks ranged from 8 – 10 inches.
I tend to do my research before purchasing items and I found the prospect of buying a petrol powered chainsaw, frankly daunting ! All that two stoke petrol mixing and sparks plugs….not for me. I thought I would give the product a go and it seemed a reasonable price. But…you have to add the 40V/2Ah Lithium Battery to the cost plus 40V Battery Charger. Oh and you need some chainsaw oil ! I was not deterred and went ahead with the purchase of all four.
The chainsaw arrived and my first impression was that I had made a big mistake, this green plastic bit of kit looked like a toy ! More research on the internet showed that the chainsaw has an Oregon Chain, (like a small bicycle chain that is wrapped around something called a bar and does the cutting) and Oregon Bar. Oregon are makers of excellent cutting chains and bars and so my concerns subsided. Within a few days the battery and charger arrived and I set them up to charge.
The charging time was about 3 hours which I thought was really quick. The chainsaw comes with instructions that are fairly easy to follow and in no time I found how to fill up the small sump with chainsaw oil. This is essential as it lubricates the cutting chain whilst it cuts through the wood.
Please remember to use safety gloves, eye protection and make sure you have no loose clothing that can get in contact with the cutting chain. The instructions will tell you how to hold the chainsaw correctly. The power switch on the handle of the chainsaw incorporates a safety catch but the manufacturers advice is not to carry the tool with the battery locked in place until you get to the place where you are intending to work.
Fitting the battery is a little fiddly but once you know how to do it it’s easy. I also used a work bench to hold the branches and trunks securely.

My task took over two hours and throughout, the battery power was as strong when I finished as when I started. My advice is don’t get impatient with the cutting chain, don’t force it through the wood and it will perform superbly.
One downside is the cutting chain. I understand that the cutting chain can wear out / break and need to be sharpened / replaced. There is some doubt in my mind as to where I can source new chains or get them sharpened. Apparently the Oregon chain used is not a standard North European version but Asian. My research continues but I am still very satisfied.
The battery will fit into a range of other Greenworks garden products so maybe a telescopic hedge cutter next !
