Excellent performance from HAWKE
I had been intending to purchase a new spotting scope for bird watching for some time and had been researching the different options within my current price range, I was going round in circles to be honest. The Hawke Nature Trek certainly seemed to tick a lot of boxes, but I wasn’t 100%. It was the quality of a pair of Hawke Nature Trek 8 x 32 binoculars that was deciding factor. I purchased a pair for everyday use, but they now seem to have taken precedence to my higher end bins. I was so impressed at the quality and performance of the binoculars that I took the plunge and purchased the spotting scope.
The quality of the build it excellent. The 80mm object lens gathers an incredible amount of light, even in fading daylight or during poor visibility. The image is crisp and sharp. I would say that the optimum performance was between 20 and 40 x magnification, but even up to the maximum of 60 x, the performance is still outstanding and you still get a pretty sharp image. In my opinion the scope’s is overall performance comparable with many high end spotting scopes, and I say this as someone that previously owned Opticron and Leica scopes.
The stay-on case that comes with the scope is a decent quality and offers perfectly adequate protection and does not hinder operation.
The warranty offered by Hawke is first class and registration is straight forward
For under 300 the Hawke Nature Trek Spotting Scope is incredible value for money and it is difficult to find anything negative to say about it.
In short I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a decent scope, don’t be put off by the relatively low price, this is has really high end spec.

Great performance at 20x and good up to 45x then it is degrading up to 60x with focus just in the centre. The lens opening makes it good at twilight. I am using mostly between 20-40x. Good focus knob works smoothly, good quality overall. I am happy with it.

Absolute quality. A fine spotting scope that won’t be out of place amongst top flight makes, Nikon, Swarovski etc. Placed on a monopod or tripod it takes some beating. All in all, an excellent purchase.

HAWKE SPOTTING SCOPE
This is a really good scope it’s great for birdwatching as I’ve used at my local nature reserve it has a really good zoom the focus on it is good and the picture is really clear great for watching birds and nature close up.

I don’t usually give reviews but I’m making an exception for this scope, very nice surprise on opening the package really nice scope very well made brilliant optics easy to use,went bird watching on the north east coast and this scope really came into play only planned to stop a couple of hours but just couldn’t stop using it, had some great views of puffins,even had a couple of people asking me about it plus a look through it they were very pleased how it performs..so I would certainly highly recommend this scope..also at the price well pleased.
My first spotting scope, chosen after much research. Feels like a quality bit of kit, well made . Nice bright and sharp images, even on full magnification at dusk. Focussing and zoom controls very smooth, precise and accurate. Close focus ability is great for the garden birds – and at full zoom the sturgeon moon here last night was amazing!! Nice quality stay on case included. Highly recommended!!

I bought this after borrowing a friend’s scope and it does everything that his more expensive one. The image is clear at all magnifications, the only problem with it is it needs a slight focus change when zooming in. All in all a very good scope for the price which is permanently set up for bird spotting.
Devo dire che non pensavo di trovarmi di fronte ad un oggetto cosi bello e ben costruito ,confezione impeccabile custodia molto ben costruita e protettiva (solo quella costa circa 100 se prendiamo in considerazione marche blasonate) qualit delle lenti eccellente con buona definizione anche in zone in ombra ,ghiera per messa a fuoco molto fluida e precisa.
