Not as heavy as I thought and catches when pulling around corners but much easier to do high things and better suction quite quiet as well very pleased with this cleane
Had a 60 bagless vac for a few years but this is so much better and no dust in the throat when emptyting nonsense, great hoover and good value for money.
Great suction. Had a Henry years ago. It was a real workhorse! Improvement is the electric cord now wraps into the “hat”! Live all on the level so don’t have to carry upstairs. High ceilings are easy, too.
LOVE HENRY. GOT A LABRADOR AND MY OLD HOOVER WAS NOT LIFTING THE HAIR FROM CARPETS OR MY SOFA. HENRY HAS GREAT SUCTION. HE IS A TAD CLUMSY AND GETS STUCK IN DOORWAYS BUT I FORGIVE THAT CAUSE HE IS SO GOOD IN ALL OTHER WAYS
I was expecting more suction power for its value. Quite disappointed to be honest but it does the job nonetheless. Just not worth the price.
Otherwise it comes with all the extras for different type of surface application. Tidy cable roll, Small in size and light weight.
3.5 starts for me.
This has to be the best vacuum cleaner on the market. The design is simple yet everything you need. Had it a while now and works as well as the day I bought it.
I bought Henry to replace my broken Miele. Why did I ever buy a Miele, Dyson or Shark!?? Henry is by far the best vacuum I’ve EVER used. Suction is incredible and I literally can’t find one negative point about this fabulous little vacuum. THE BEST!
It’s perfect exactly what I wanted comes with 3 hoover attachments which is great for carpets and wooden floors great suction well worth the money 10/10
Good sturdy
Size
Come with extra long hose and long lead
Suction is unreal
Best hoover
Best brand ever made
I’d heard many good things about Henrys and haven’t been disappointed on getting one of my own. It’s not as heavy as I’d anticipated and, with its large main wheels, it’s also easy to manoeuvre (helped, too, by the especially long power cable).
Excellent range of tools – and the rack for carrying them on the machine as you vacuum is helpful. It’s also somewhat quieter than I’d expected. No-one would call it a whisper, but it’s possible to have a conversation over it.
I’ve never got the point of bagless machines – the mess, dust, and fumes when emptying them seems a backward step. This Henry’s 9-litre bag is not only plenty big, but simple, clean, and fuss-free to empty.
I’m very pleased with this. It’s a simple construction that has stood the test of time, and the cleaning performance is excellent. Compared to a Dyson, say, it’s perhaps a bit unrefined: the AiroBrush head is not as manoeuvrable, and uncoupling the sections of the stainless steel tube can be hard work. With the hose connected, it’s a challenge to carry upstairs without swiping pictures off the wall. But these are niggles. What you get is bombproof build quality, great suction power, huge bag capacity and no more clouds of dust that you get when emptying a bagless vacuum.
It’s perfect. Does the job, efficiently and with gusto! It’s a bit unwieldy and awkward but otherwise no complaints. My Mum’s been using one for over 25 years (on her second now) very happy with mine.
Henry just arrived and I’ve just finished the first vacuuming downstairs. I’m always very excited when we get new things.
For comparison our previous vacuum was a Dyson Animal, so that is what I’m basing this on.
In my opinion after a really extensive first use:
Henry is a little bulky but after 2 years in lockdown / working from home aren’t we all. All the bits can be disassembled easily enough for storage but I will need to sort out the storage space.
Henry’s suction / power is comparable if not slightly better.
Henry weighs about the same but the cable is significantly longer therefore less lifting required.
Henry Xtra comes with tons of attachments, I’m not sure what most of them do but I’m really happy to have them. Definitely more attachments than our Dyson.
Henry is much quieter than our Dyson, the cats were still afraid, but less so. One even nuzzled against him when I turned him off (I’ll get a picture next time)
Henry cost significantly less…. we could have almost bought 3 Henry Xtra’s for what our Dyson cost and that’s what stands out the most for me… was our Dyson 3 times better – certainly not, if anything it didn’t even compare with Henry’s cleaning ability; and I still don’t know what half the attachments do so Henry may prove to be even more awesome.
All in all really pleased with Henry, should have switched years ago.
Been using it for a couple of months now and haven’t needed to empty the bag yet, would definitely stay with bagged rather than bagless, picks up everything, I use it on wood, tile, and carpet. Comes with a range of attachments and a really long cord so can be used in the house, in the car, stairs, furniture, mattresses, multi-level home. Really easy to use, the cord is stored in the vacuum and winds back in neatly when you’re finished. Love it, there is a full range of Henry products to suit many environments, so far I do believe you get good value for your money.
You have got to love a Henry and the fact it now has a little door under the head to clear blockages really helps. We had a dyson before and must say this is so much better.
Thought would treat myself to a new Henry had old one at least 25 yrs still going strong but thought would keep to do cars and the new model lives up to my expectations just great Henry’s are the best!!!
We’ve got a labrador so I vacuum everyday. I’ve tried both Dyson and Shark vacuums recently. The Henry knocks spots off them. My carpets are finally totally fur free! I love the long cable. Phenomenal suction. At last a vacuum that actually does the job. Love it!
I wish I had bought this Henry Extra years ago. The suction power is great, even though it uses relatively little electricity compared with previous 2Kw cleaners, I have owned in the past, included the overrated Dyson. I was concerned that the Airobrush would stop rotating as soon as it was presented with a carpet, but it works superbly, although rather noisily, compared to the Henry’s pretty quiet normal operation. The power cable is extremely long, allowing me to clean every room in my bungalow, without changing mains sockets. And the cable is easy to rewind, with the handle – no spring loaded rewind mechanisms to break. I have noticed that quite a few people consider the Henry to be too heavy, but I can’t say that it has been a problem to me, even if I carry it with the handle.
I’ve had most of the cordless hoovers, and wasn’t really impressed. Although Henry isn’t cordless it has great suction great hoover attachments the extra long power lead is great. Ideal for pets, carpets and all floors. Thank you henry
Brilliant better than my old Dyson, Vax or Hoover much more suction, brings up the pile on the carpet a treat. You don’t have to go over each bit of fluff a hundred times before it picks it up.
This is the best hoover among others. Henry is as usual perfect. Just wanted to be sure this is the real Henry. I think it’s Kalashnikov among hoovers)) simply made, not expensive and nothing will damage it. Henry will work in any circumstances. I am very satisfied
omg this is the best Hoover I’ve ever bought if you need a deep clean of your carpets in the home buy henry it was worth every penny I paid for it and on flat surfaces its absolutely amazing. and at 600 watts is very powerful I’m a single mom taking care of two kids it does the job cleaning up after them what I love about this vacuum cleaner is that he was easy to assemble he came fitted with a dust bag and the manufacturer puts a spare dust bag in the box so you have 2 dustbags all I had to do is screw on his hose and we was ready to go it was easy for me to move around he was lightweight for me henry comes with attachments too if you need a powerful vacuum cleaner buy henry extra 900 litre its worth the money pls take care of him because if you want it to last a while it best to treat him with respect and only buy the henry approved bags buying cheap substitute bags can damage your vacuum henry will put your old vacuum out of a job so if your thinking of buying another vacuum cleaner buy henry
Love my Henry! Suction is powerful and having a German shepherd means I have a lot of dried mud and sand from her coat in my floors – Henry just sucks it all up! Great on hardwood and tiled floors and the carpet head is brilliant, really brings up the pile of the carpet and deep cleans. The only hassle I have is changing the heads, as they need quite a bit of effort in pulling them off, otherwise wouldn’t swap for any other vacuum cleaner – knocks Dyson into a cocked hat!
We like the Henry so much, we brought another one for indoor use, a little difficult with regard to move ability, however performance far out weighs that. Great produc
With the AirBrush, it will clean basically anything. Great power, much quieter than the one it replaces and better suction. For the price (when you think about dysons and Sharks that constantly clog) it’s a bargain.
My boyfriend used the first time and when he heard the strong voice hd start to smiling. He start to use and he is loved it I love as well ,very strong machine
Absolutely fantastic my wife loves it great to use impressed
Best hoover I’ve ever had . Love it. Suction is great, bags are easy and clean to replace.
I love my Henry, I had to replace my last Henry which I had for 14 years. Wouldn’t have any other vacuum cleaner. Excellent suction, lightweight, easy to empty and is worth every penny, but most of all Henry is always smiling
What’s not to like – give me a bomb proof Henry over a pretentious Dyson any day
simple design / high perfomance, no nonsence and does everything and more.
best vacuum cleaner on the market.
Powerful suction and pulls along nicely, pretty much as I expected. However hose rather cumbersome to use in small rooms. I am 5 ft tall, maybe a taller person might find the hose easier to handle. The hoover comes with one spare hoover bag,and a bag already inside ready for use. Easy to put together. nice size and storage works except for the hose which doesn’t seem to belong anywhere, and no matter where you put it makes the hoover larger to store. The built on storage does not store all items. The red plastic bucket is cheap looking. But all in all a useful cleaner to have around.
Excellent I am alredy in love with it, super cleaning and takes very less time. As described a++++
I knew they were great but overwhelmed in well they work best thing ive ever brough
Reliable as always is Henry – tough strong and does the job
It’s just perfect – been using these for years, can’t be beaten as far as I’m concerned.
Can’t stand emptying cylinder machines as dust goes everywhere, and they need emptying every half an hour. But this one has bags which cost 1 and last ages. I haven’t noticed any loss of suction, which is the main selling point of cylinder types. Henry is a bit shy when going around corners or small steps but pick him up and it’s easy af. Great for stairs and other items of furniture too. The hose is really good and flexible. Dyson hoses are too springy and annoying.
After our old Electrolux vacuum bit the dust, I decided I’d like to go cordless. The first one was worse than useless, I had to empty it/unclog it endlessly (I have a dog) and it didn’t pick up brilliantly either, on the hard floors or carpet. I thought I’d upgrade and try another one that got decent reviews, but although it was marginally better, it still didn’t do a great job and still needed endless emptying. Then my husband and I had a discussion about how good Henrys were (the cleaners at both our respective workplaces use them) so I decided to bite the bullet and splash out. OK, it meant going back to corded, but if it does the trick….and it most certainly does! Relatively easy to manoeuvre, and the suction power is unbelievable! I could hardly pull the cleaning head off the short pile carpet in a bedroom and it picked up everything in double quick time. What a joy, I can’t recommend this highly enough, worth every penny. Go Henry!
This one is a replacement for my old Henry that worked really well for 36 years
powerful corded cleaner, with loads of accessories supplied, plus overall good value for money.
The product is good, makes the floor & carpet clean superquickly with its suction power. The airobrush is the greatest head I’ve ever used for carpet, however, it gets filled with hair pretty quick and it’s very very hard to remove them so after around 10 uses max the head will be out of order!
Excellent suction, nice long hose which reaches to the top of my stairs.
I received my Henry extra vacuum today and was not disappointed, good vacuum, would definitely purchase it again.
Works well as always. Picks up all the dirt in the training centre
Having bought a cordless Dyson and paying 400 for the privilege, we found it incredibly unreliable and not very powerful. We were weary of going back to a corded appliance but so glad we did, the extra model has plenty of lead and plenty of suction, we would not go back to cordless, the Dyson we now use for crumbs etc and Henry for normal use
Amazing value and does everything that the more expensive vacs do. The main thing is it’s a lot easier to manoeuvre than those stupid stick vacs that everyone seems to want. I have hard floors all through and it’s all so much quicker with a Henry.
Just great to pull round the house. Small, lightweight and picks up great!!!
Really good suction power on the henry hoover would definitely recommend to anyone looking a new hoove
Everything ya expect from a hoover was spot on,deffo buy again if nd wen need to
The suction power is just amazing just love my Henry! I have a German Shepard and she constantly casts her hair but it’s no problem to Henry!
I needed a strong machine to keep my art studio clean. It does a great job of cleaning big pieces and fine dust. The attachments work really well in corners. Very impressed with this machine
This Hoover is the best I ve had to remove dog hair from carpets…I have 3 dogs ….all she’d like mad…..Very pleased
I had one of the original Henry Hoovers for over 30 years which finally passed away! Now a new one has joined the family which will see me through.
Would rate Mr Henry above all the higher priced fancy hoovers we keep hearing about – once you’ve had one of these you’ll never need anothe
My wife likes it so that is half the battle. Better than none wired cleaners more suction. I have had a Henry for my work for years so the wife as one now.
This vacuum in my opinion is better that the Shark x 2 that we have bought and the Dyson,a very easy to use vacuum
Have had several Numatic products over the years and this one is functionally as good as any other. Slightly disappointed with the air driven rotary brush as it doesn’t seem as well made as the one from the last model. Overall really satisfied with the product and it does everything we ask of i
I bought this for the suction and it has this in space. It has a long power cord and slides around the floor with ease. Beats Dyson any day
So happy i decieded to go with henry, the power behind it ive never experience.
I am super happy with this hover, picks up everything, not like lightweight shark i had previous.
Great vacuum cleaner, I really like my first Henry hoover. Giving it 4* because the numatic part melted after a year. Will have to buy a replacement…
I’ve had many vacuum cleaners over the years, Dison gets clogged up after 12 – 18 months…..small filters become clogged and are not under warrenty (payment needed).
Hoover sensor (bagged) 23000 watts, problems!
And then recently Henry Xtra…….fantastic, highly recommended!! (not a light vacuum cleaner but not heavy either)..well worth buying.
Worth every penny for this mighty powerful little hoover. Suction is amazing for clean carpets and surfaces. Deliver was on time and has all the attachments you need for those other jobs around the house. The bag makes it easier to keep your hoover clean and last a long time before having to change it. Very happy with this solid and reliably performing hoover.
Early days yet, but love it so far. Believed or not looking for any excuse to use it. Suction is Whaley, quiet yet powerful. Lightweight machine and to manoeuvre funny at times when he looks at you when stuck behind a door! one word of advice, do let it a near toilet roll!
This was a replacement after our last Henry, after years of arduous service, passed away. THIS NEW HENRY HAS A REVELATORY HAIR ATTACHMENT! We have siz indoor cats, and this rubberised attachment thingummy is the *business* at sorting out hair fluffs! How did we ever do without it!
Had a Henry before, but they do get better. It was nice to have a new one after 8 years. Would recommend this to everyone
I’ve always had Dysons before. Can believe how good it is. I bought the slightly larger version with the turbo brush. Made easy work of all my flooring as I have carpet & tiles. Love it & glad I bought one.
Had the last one for 15 years
This one also have good suction power and can for a very long time
Well this is a Henry! – they are brilliant!
Have three and they last for ever and take loads of punishment! But are always happy and always deliver!
Come on time, simple to put together and use – would never buy anything else!
It’s a bit old school to go back to a plug in after years of cordless cleaners – but wow!! Henry does the job and more. Superb suction, great range of tools and carpet really looks like it’s had a good clean. INHO it’s also fairly lightweight and had no problem doing the stairs. Huge dust/debris capacity. Very pleased!
I had a Henry years ago and I was always happy with it. Then when we moved house we bought a Dyson (not a good move really!) then last year a Shark Upright (definitely not a good move!). So, I ordered a Henry… And I couldn’t be happier. I knew you wouldn’t let me down Henry
. Bought in September, Absolute rubbish. Early Feb now used once a week very lightly in bedrooms & we have had no end of problems with it, The latest being the connector on the main hose came adrift & rendered it useless, We had to glue it back on with difficulty but it shouldnt have been necessary. Fed up with the machine.I is only less than 6 months old
Alwaye had upright cleaners, eg Dyson, Vax, etc, but dedided to try this popular brand. Very impressed with performance. Also checked and found spare parts and accessories very reasonably priced.
Many years ago I purchased a Henry Hover product. I always considered the brand to have been good quality and I have not changed my mind. After using a number of different brands over the years I decided the I would purchase a Henry Extra. I am not disappointed. It works very well with plenty of suction and as for attachments there are many to choose from. This is a bagged hover, maybe in future they may develop a bagless version but I would not fault this because of that.
If you buy this model you will have made a wise choice .
I fell for all the hype with the new technology and development in other brands and suffered for years with products that simply did not work. This guy is an absolute beast. I would highly recommend forgetting vortex technology and other designs. This is simple. Put a powerful motor on a collection tub add some accessories and bingo you have a vacuum cleaner the actually does what it’s supposed to do. This is my best purchase for sometime by far. Hooray for Henry!
This Hoover looks bonkers but it is brilliant. It is in the style of the old industrial hoovers and it practically shaves the carpet as you vacuum. The motors are above the suction hose so clogging the motor up with dust and particles is highly unlikely. It is also really simple to use with a long reach for the more awkward places. Highly recommended.
Small bungalow easy storage. Had previous one for 11 years. For two story house .
Should have bought a Henry years ago rather than waste time on the supposed “better /more upmarket” vacuum cleaners
Love Henry, more powerful than my last dyson ,lightweight.different types of heads too…cord is so long i can plug in upstairs and hoover downstairs cord has an easy wind in function too.
would never go back to a cordless hoover ,huge bag …and it’s such a good price too!
This is a great machine, very powerful, easy to move about, very long cable, large bag capacity. After using Dyson for years we are now converted 🙂
I really like this vacuum cleaner, it is robust, reasonable price and I like the power of it. The only weakness is the Airo Brush foot because I have had to have a replacement after less than 6 months. The other attachments are more robust and I have been sent a replacement so maybe it’s just bad luck.
I absolutely love my new Henry vacuum! What a great machine. Powerful, easy to use, with a very long cable that allows me to right up the stairs without unplugging. Henry comes complete with all manner of attachments and at such a good price too. I decided to buy one for upstairs and one for downstairs and they work out a lot cheaper that one Dyson or Shark. Henry is also very quiet, which I love. I have had quite a few vacuum cleaners over the years, but Henry knocks spots off them all. My very best buy ever!
