An excellent air purifier overall, but replacement filters are a bit pricey.
I bought this from a local hardware shop in Norway when I lived there. I have used it on and off for the past few years and have really been impressed with how well this air purifier cleans up the air in a given space. I recommend it to anyone. Although the cost of the filters can be a bit pricey, I think it’s still worth it.

Seems to have improved air quality
At the moment seems to be doing a good job. Bought it as my wife coughs a lot due to asthma and always seems to be worse in the house after work. Coughing has greatly reduced. Nice and slim fits in the corner of the lounge and is hardly noticed. Night mode is very quiet, you hardly know it’s on. Dead easy to use, just put it in auto and let it do its job.

Light weight and does the job.
The unit is easy to move about, it’s very quiet on night mode, I clean the filters once every 2 weeks, I wish I had this this machine before as it certainly works well. I highly recommend this product. Michael.

Its a great product, I have been using this for past 2 months and the air quality at home has been elevated. My father suffers from asthama and he usually needs his pump during his sleep, however after installing this product in his room he has been saying that he is having peaceful sleep cycle. There is just one con of this product and that is the LED lights that can’t be turned off. However the PROs are soo good that it overshadow’s the con.

Quickly removes smoking smells and lowers the overall dus
Very well built and seems to do an excellent job at removing foreign particles from the room I use it in.

It’s a lot smaller than I thought it would have been and pretty much as heavy as a laptop or a couple of books.
It looks the part, but I do worry how long the touch controls will last but it does seem to be very well built.

The light does indeed stay on while one and no way to turn it off other than sleep mode which puts the fan into low spin mode.

We primarily got this for the bedroom to help clear the air, we live in a flat that is above a chain smoker, so we get the smell of smoke throughout the day and night.

Since we’ve had it running we have noticed a massive difference in the air quality and any smells that do appear, disappear just as quickly as they come and there is certainly a lot less dust to clean up while doing a clean.

At night I normally leave it on sleep move and don’t notice any smells of smoke at the usual time of 4-6am most mornings anymore, which has made the gf much happier 🙂

The auto mode seems to be a little hit and miss at times but for the most part, it does ramp up when we smell something funky going on most of the time.

It generally is quiet but can be noisy if you stick it on mode 3, but it’s very rare that you’d have to stick it on this mode… I’ve done it maybe 1 or twice and that was because someone was having a bomb fire outside.

The filter costs are high from my point of view but I’d just say I’m being tight, I’ve been at this point cleaning out the 3 filters weekly at the moment using an air blower out the window – I think they should last a lot longer than they have rated them for this way.

For the cost compared to the other brands out there its seems to be great value for money, if you don’t mind not having a remote or any of those “connected” features.

Being an Asthma sufferer I decided to buy an air purifier to see if it would do me any good even though it was expensive. Having run it for about a month it does seem to alleviate the symptoms by filtering out most of the allergens in the air in the high allergen season. It also has a setting for capturing germs in the cold and flu season. So all in all it seems to have been money well spent and I can highly recommend its purchase.

Worked for me with cat dander and polle
My wife loves cats, to the extent that I really wanted to get her one – problem is that I’m allergic to cats! So, in the end we did a deal – I bought her a cat and I got an air filter! I’ve used this one in the bedroom and it has been effective in keep it, and my eyes, clear on Mr.Blue Cat’s dander, even when he sneak in at night to sleep on the bed – even when he’s really determined to irritate my allergy by sitting on my chest breathing fishy breath!

I’ve also found it and higher end filters like it to be effective come pollen season.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersVery quiet and very effective for allergy sufferers
This Honeywell air purifier looks to be targeted at allergy sufferers, featuring as it does a true HEPA allergen remover and an ioniser (which is a fairly uncommon feature).

As a hay fever sufferer I thought I’d give it a try to see if it helped, and the answer is a qualified yes. I definitely felt the difference but as I’m out of the house a lot I’m not in a position to get the maximum benefit from it. I still needed to take antihistamines and suffered as usual away from the house.

Anyway it was easy to set up – just take it out of the packaging, remove all the bits of sticky tape on the outside and then remove the filter cover and do the same inside. Replace the filters and turn it on. It weighs in at 7kg which means you won’t move it around a lot – but it is small enough not to be a major headache to move if needed.

In operation it is really very quiet – quiet enough for a bedroom in my opinion. The controls are simple and well explained by the instruction booklet, and there is a great automatic mode which ensures that it only runs when it needs to; the top front edge has LED lighting which changes colour to show you at a glance what the air quality is. And you will notice the air quality improvement – I certainly did.

The internal filter lasts for 12 months and at the moment will cost you just under 60 to replace (82 for two is a much better deal).

It didn’t make enough difference to me personally to keep hold of this air purifier (I’m not at home enough to justify the running costs), but if you spend a lot of time at home then you’d probably appreciate it a lot more than I did.

    Solid Air Purifie
This is a full size air purifier suitable for allergy sufferers. I suffer with mild hay fever and use this in the bedroom. It has a fairly quiet nightime mode and can be left on all night without impacting my sleep. The daytime modes are a little noisier, think fridge freezer, but this is necessary to move enough air through the filter. This unit does noticeably improve my symptoms so if you are looking for a drug free way of combating allergies this is worth a try.

After a recent Which report on air purifiers I decided to buy a good one. The two best buys in Which? proved to be totally unobtainable. Then I spotted this one on Amazon. Which had not tested it but the spec seemed what I wanted and it was a good price, also available!

Delivery was amazing -within 48 hours, also free. I’m very pleased indeed with my purchase. It is beautifully made, the instructions are clear and it works like a dream. Within half an hour I felt I was breathing more easily. So 5 stars is merited. And null points to Which magazine for ignoring it!

I was first of all taken by how quiet this is when running – so much better than I remember air purifiers being. I also am pleased to report that there is no funny smell from the air generated which also used to happen with units I used years ago. The only issue is the high price of replacement filters but I imagine that would be true of any similar one.

I like this. It works well. To bright for my bedroom but perfect in the corner of the living room. One unexpected bonus was the vertical air vent which we discovered quickly circulated the warmer air from our high ceiling effectively warming the room a good few degrees lower down. May not be a benefit in hot summers.

Have also found it great that we can open windows in the morning to air the room and then onced closed the pollen reduces within 15 minutes which is very impressive.

Easy to assemble the filters and a breeze (!) to operate. Expensive but it works a treat.

This air purifier went from a ‘why the hell did you get this?’ item to a ‘please can I have it in my room?’ item quicker than a rat up a drainpipe once my girlfriend started sanding down the paintwork and opening up the tins of gloss (in case you’re wondering, she won’t let me anywhere near the DIY. Drilling holes in stuff yes, but anything else, nooooooo!)

I have to say this is a very effective bit of kit (DO NOT plug it in straight out of the box, the filters inside arrive inside plastic bags. Open it up and take the filters out of the bags first). It can be fairly noisy when going on full pelt, but the Sleep mode is much quieter (the LED bar light switches off on this setting too).

The controls are a cinch to operate and it also features a child lock in case little fingers start to wander.

All in all, an excellent and effective air purifier.

    Works very well indeed.
This is a large, heavy, floor-standing air purifying unit – a bit bigger than an airline carry-on cabin bag. It works straight from the box and it is very effective and surprisingly quiet. I have 3 large Newfoundland dogs and they spend a lot of time in the kitchen and they, together with cooking smells, result in the air getting a bit niffy at times, This gizmo keeps the air nice and fresh. I badly burned a casserole a few days back and the kitchen was full of smoke. After the smoke cleared there was a residual burnt odour but the purifier dealt with that in less than an hour. My daughter suffers from hayfever which can disturb her sleep at this time of year. With the purifier running in the background during the night she swears her symptoms are much reduced and her quality of sleep is much improved. I have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone who has indoor air quality problems or has difficulties associated with allergies to dust, pollen etc

Great machine, one very minor niggle only
Being a hayfever sufferer for most of my life, I’ve owned a fair few air purifier over the years, and this one is the most hi-tech so far.

The unit is the size of a medium size paper shredder, with the control panel on the top which makes it easy to access. The controls are all touch sensitive, so no need to press hard. The controls have blue lights on them to tell you what options have been selected. You simply touch the buttons to cycle through each of the options, it really is very easy to operate.

Before use, you must open the front cover and unpack the filters from their protective plastic bags and remove any orange sticky tapes that holds the part down during transport (bit like those in new printers) this part is very easy, and all the filters have clear labels to help you put them back the right way around. There are three filters, the inner one is a HEPA filter which removes tiny particles from the air, the middle filter is filled with active carbon beads, bit like those inside fish tank filters, this is for absorbing smells, then there’s the outer mesh filter which removes the larger dust from the air.

To force air through the three filters, the unit’s fan has four settings: sleep, germ, general, and allergens. I can’t actually find the turbo option mentioned in the official blurb, but that’s probably not one I would use anyway, since the allergen setting is fairly loud already. Not unbearably loud, but distracting enough that I don’t fancy using it unless I’m not in the room.

The middle two speeds (germ and general) are usable in everyday use. The quiet setting really is very very quiet, you certainly won’t notice it running in the background on this setting. It’s quieter than most computer fans.

The unit has an automatic mode, which is why this is marketed as a “smart” purifier, in auto mode, it would monitor the air quality and adjust the fan speed as necessary. On paper this is fantastic, but in practice it’s a bit annoying as it changes speed every few minutes, it can go from quiet to full throttle within a couple of minutes, and back again, as if it can’t decide. So I ended up keeping it in the lowest setting and it mostly reports the air is good quality.

The way it reports air quality is by way of coloured lights, blue for clean, amber for average, red for poor. The fan speed will adjust accordingly if running in auto mode. If you have it set to a fixed fan speed, the colour light will still change to report the air quality.

There is a convenient sleep button, which puts the unit to the quietest fan speed and turns the light off so you can leave it running through the night.

Other features include a shutdown timer setting allowing 2, 4 or 8 hours; a child lock to prevent curious fingers changing the settings; an built in ioniser should help particles from the air stick to the filters more effectively.

The front cover has a safety feature too, the unit will turn off immediately when the front cover is removed.

All in all, it’s a really high tech piece of kit, if only the auto mode weren’t so erratic then it would be perfect. I was going to give 4 stars but that really is too harsh for one minor niggle.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersWorks well
I have previously tried an air conditioning unit to refresh the air in my dusty flat but found this to be bulky, noisy and needs the outlet pipe to be fed out of the window (largely defeating the object). This purifying unit works much better in a smaller environment and is ideal for the home or an office. Setting up is straightforward. You need to take the filters out to remove the packaging but instructions are clear and it only took a couple of minutes.

There is plenty of information in the blurb above to tell you what it does so how does is fare in operation? First of all it is fairly quiet. Although the highest setting does have a noticeable fan noise, I could still hear the TV. In addition to the three main modes, there is a sleep mode to make it useable in the bedroom at night. This turns the fan and lights right down. Although the fan is not silent, I could sleep through it with no problems.

I have to say that the improvement in the quality of the air is noticeable. It feels and smells much cleaner. The unit’s auto mode assesses the air quality and sets the fan accordingly. However, I find that it is best to set it to a higher setting to start with, then after half an hour or so, turn it down to a quieter setting and let auto mode do the rest.

Quite effective, despite the small size
Very easy to operate and a very small instruction manual that covers everything you need to know.
Left on automatic a light pulses through three colours (blue, amber, red) until it settles upon one that shows the air quality at that time. This makes for a rather bright display but does have a night-time mode where the display is very muted and the fan considerably quieter.
Not much larger than a household shredder and very light – the packaging makes it seem far larger than it really is, because it is packed very well. Two of the filters need to be replaced after about 14 months and are expensive, but 14 months is quite a while.

Update – I passed this to my brother, who has asthma. and he is overjoyed with it. It has reduced his symptoms significantly. The replacement filters appear to be quite expensive but he considers money well spent.

This is a classy air purifier and works a treat . It is easy to use and quiet in use. I set mine on automatic and somehow the everyday odours melt away . You should close windows and doors but the atmosphere generated by it is fresh and you would not realize that there were no windows open .
I have not used an air purifier before but this seems good to me .I gave 4 stars as I have nothing to compare it with .

    I really like this.
Some definite pros and cons with this air purifier, so please forgive me using a list:
    Pros:
    1. Undoubtedly cleans the air in our living space, removing cooking smells (open plan kitchen /dining /lounge) and reducing my husband’s hay fever to negligible.
    2. I like the look of it – it could happily sit in most modern interiors and I like the space age look!
    3. Excellent filters – the carbon filter in particular is much better than the equivalent in any of my other purifiers (asthma house so we have several).
    4. Easy to use touch controls.

    Cons:
    1. High cost of machine, plus ongoing cost of replacing the filters (doesn’t work if you don’t).
    2. Too noisy… I love white noise, but on allergen mode, this is louder than the cooker hood!
    3. Lights are bright – meaning I wouldn’t use this in a bedroom.

All up – I actually really like this, as it effectively cleans the air. I love the quality. I do think it’s pricey, but for me, it’s worth it if you can afford it. I would now consider this brand in the same category as my Fellowes machines.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersEasy to use, quiet and effective
I am incredibly impressed with this model for air purification. Set up was simple although I thought the user guide could have been a little more detailed about the benefits of this system.

I decided, right from the start, to install this in our bedroom and use the automatic feature. My husband snores and I have allergies and I was after a solution for both. The program changes when levels of dust/allergens reach a high level in the air around the device and automatically goes to the appropriate level. When it is working hardest, there is much more noise of course, but this doesn’t seem to happen often unless I am changing or making the bed when movement of the bedding unsettles existing dust. I daresay this will reduce with time although I haven’t noticed a change yet after a week of use.

The snoring is still there, but I think it is less loud. My husband doesn’t mean to snore any more than I mean to sneeze or cough in the night, but I think we are both sleeping better with this device. Due to the noise and the lights on the device, I was pleased to see that there is a sleep setting which we use during the night. It still operates, but only at the lowest level and without the lights. In the morning, I turn it back to automatic.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Usersgood - albeit pricey and with significant running costs.
If you have asthma, allergies or are worried about the air quality of your house, this is a well made and easy to use piece of kit that is compact and discrete enough to blend into your home decor. It’s got a fairly good air purifying ratio for it’s size – though it’s worth noting that the Philips AC3256/30 Air Purifier, Anti-Allergen with NanoProtect S3 Filter , which is about 20cms higher, does have double capacity and an actual indicator of air quality in numbers, rather than the visual display of blue (good) amber (less good) or red (self explanatory) air quality displays that this one has.

In use to help with the hay fever and dust from building work that I am currently experiencing; the filters, which come encased in plastic and which are in the body of the purifier, seem to process the air quite quickly and efficiently. In a small room if you open the door to a dustier environment you can see the light flash as the air quality is reduced and then it lowers again to blue. The fan has a good number of selectable speeds and there’s even a setting for night time and silent – whisper quiet. I tend to use the automatic setting the most which takes the guess work out.

There’s no doubt that this is a well made and effective device – I think, however, that having to change the filters will make this prohibitive to use for some – if you have an allergy though to anything airbourne it may well be worth the investment.

Works well for improving air quality, quiet and smart looking. Charcoal and hepa air filters. Great quality
My husband hasn’t stopped raving about how fantastic this air purifier is since it arrived.

He suffers from adult-onset asthma and is currently ill in bed with painful tonsillitis and a rotten cold. As a double-whammy we also have the builders knocking a new doorway though at the top of our stairs to our extension which has caused lots of fine brick dust and plasterboard dust. He has had this air purifier running in the bedroom and he says it’s really making a noticeable difference to how easily he is able to breathe.

Interestingly, yesterday he had been in bed all evening with the machine running, and the door closed, and when I went in later, the lights were blue and the purifier was running on its auto low speed setting. I closed the door behind me to keep the dust from the landing out, but then 10 seconds later the purifier sensed the change in the air, from when I had entered the room, and the lights changed to amber, then red, and the fan speed went up to proces the dirty air that had come into the room with me. The door was only open for about 5 seconds, but the machine could sense the difference.

There are several layers of filtration, the first being a simple plastic mesh, to catch pet hair etc. The second layer is the carbon filter, to catch the smells and particles that can be absorbed into the charcoal. The third layer is a big concertina filter, like an air filter in a car, that catches the very fine particles that the other filters might have missed.

The whole unit is about the same sized as a paper shredding machine, so it’s easy to find a space for it.

Yes, it’s an expensive item, but the benefits that my husband has experienced since we’ve had it make me think that it’s worth the investment if you suffer with asthma or allergies.

    5 stars.

Generally I don’t have breathing problems but at this time of year (Spring) the tree pollen starts to affect me. However after using the Honeywell HPA710WE air purifier I have noticed a marked improvement in my runny eyes and sneezing. The light indicator on the top of the unit is very useful and I was surprised to find that when I initially switched it on it showed amber, I really didn’t think there was anything wrong with the air in our house! Having used this for a couple of days I am finding that I am breathing much better and my husband says I’m not snoring as much, which has got to be a good thing. I intend to buy another one of these for my daughter in law as she really suffers with her sinuses, so I’m sure she’ll benefit from it.

I didn’t expect to like this as much as I do! When first set-up I let it run and thought it was a bit loud and OTT…that was only because my room obviously was full of stuff that needed purifying coz now it’s a quiet as a mouse and works in the background on auto while I see clients.
As a former asthma and hay fever sufferer I know how awful it can be to be in places that are full of allergens and this machine removes them once and for all.
It even has a Ioniser setting (my fave as I still use an ioniser in my bedroom) … and means my home-office now feels much more comfortable.
Fantastic piece of kit. My only sorrow is these things weren’t available when I was younger, I certainly would have benefited from its wonderful ability to purify the air.
Anyway, now my clients are benefiting so that’s fab.

When I win the lottery I'll buy umpteen of these and have them in every room!
I’ve had other air purifiers and to be honest I thought they were pretty good. It’s only now that I’ve tried this one that I know what ‘good’ means when it comes to pruifiers. I love this thing! We live on a busy main road and I’m convinced the constant traffic is resulting in bad air quality in our home. When we first switched this on I fully expected the thing to light up like christmas as the description says it monitors room air quality and reports with the following lights, “blue (good), amber (fair), red (poor). I was surprised we didn’t get the red light but amber in the front room has been enough to convince me to have this on constantly.

Brilliant unit and when I win the lottery I’ll buy umpteen of these and have them in every room! Easy to use, looks great and has gone a long way to improving air quality, as proven by the blue light now. It does mean that I need it on all the time to be sure things aren’t sliding so I hope it doesn’t run away with too much electricity. I haven’t checked and I’m probably not going to either as I don’t want to know in case it’s bad news. I don’t want anything to spoil this…

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAn effective device that clease and ionizes the air indoors.
I GOT THIS BECAUSE BOTH MY HUSBAND AND MYSELF HAVE ASTHMA. However at the moment I am not having any breathing difficulties so it is really hard to judge this completely but it does seem very good.

Over the years, in both my home and my office, I have had various air purifiers as in London we really have no clean air at all. Honeywell HPA710WE Premium Air Purifier True HEPA Allergen Remover with Smart LED Air Quality Sensor does seem to work well. Taking away very close to 100% of pollutants and also ionizing the air which I think is of great importance.
This is a good looking machine made by a great company.
The controls are clear and easy to use. Even though it is large it is fairly discrete and good looking. It is very quiet and so can be used in a bedroom all night. Much, much quieter than coughing all night.
The real deal is the HEPA filter which takes away polluted molecules down to a very, very tiny size and stops them sticking to things like you pillow. It is an ionizer .
Ionizers work. Ionisers are simple devices that put a high-voltage negative charge into the air. Since static charge is easier to transfer to air from a sharp point or edge, the ioniser usually discharges through an array of needles or a metal brush.

The statically-charged air will then share its charge with any airborne particles causing them to cling to other (electrically neutral) surfaces which will be electrically attractive. Thus, dust, pollen, tiny fibres and smoke particles will be extracted from the air by this action. So the walls, ceiling, cabinet surfaces and glazing will become notably dirtier – but the air will be much cleaner.

The other effect is a biological one, as the oxygen exchange in the lungs is facilitated by a slight negative charge. This is the phenomenon that is responsible for the initial exhilaration of breathing “fresher” air after a thunderstorm, when vast amounts of air are charged (ionised) by lightning.

The fan simply speeds up the rate at which fresh air is conveyed past the ion transmitter element – but it is not a critical requirement. It’s important to note that a badly designed ioniser can produce ozone – which is exactly what you don’t want! Ozone is a deadly gas to organic life and is used as a sanitiser because it kills bacteria so effectively. In small amounts, such as from an arcing motor, ozone can damage your lungs and other mucous membranes. From a badly designed ioniser, its immediate effects can make you listless and drowsy, most likely accompanied by a headache.

Ozone has the typical slightly-sour smell of “electricity”. If you have ever used an electric drilling machine or food processor that is arcing at its brushes, that is the characteristic smell of ozone. Ionised air, on its own, is odourless. So a good ioniser has no odour of “electricity” (the human nose can detect it in very small quantities i.e. 10 ppb, one tenth of its harmful concentration of 100ppb (parts per billion)).

This rather large machine. like a suit case size, will I am sure, help breathing a lot and really help any asthmatic need less medication as well as keeping others free of some of our terrible pollution. . Great for a baby’s room especially if there are smokers in the house.
If you have asthma or other breathing problems I think it is a must to use an air purifier in the city now. The air quality is dreadful and these really help. On high pollution days you are supposed to stay in and this will clean the air indoors.

    Light, portable and impressive
We’re really impressed with this purifier. Within 24 hours of use it had made a noticeable difference to a musty bedroom and it’s small enough to be carried from room to room to work its magic. It doesn’t take up a lot of space and the handholds on each side make it easy to lift and move – it’s surprisingly light.

When it’s on it emits a gentle blue glow, but the colours change as it works. At night you can switch it to sleep mode, which dims the light and quietens the machine so it’s almost inaudible. It certainly doesn’t disturb sleep. Even at full speed it’s much quieter than a bathroom extractor fan, for example.

Quiet and unassuming with great features
The Honeywell HPA710WE Premium Air Purifier is a nice looking device that doesn’t spoil the look of a living room with it’s pleasant clean white finish and relatively small size (about 2 feet high, so it isn’t too intrusive).

When switched on the top is illuminated by a very sleek LED that changes to one of three colours, depending on air quality. The purifier also has three different operational modes which affect how loud it is, though in use I found it very quiet and forgot it was even there.

Air quality is something I’ve become more interested in, not just because I’m prone to hay fever, but because of the poor air quality that a typical house now has. In terms of the difference it’s made to our house, obviously it’s difficult to scientifically measure our air quality before using the purifier compared to how it is now. But I’m a believer in air purifiers and think they will become more and more common in homes and working environments. I’m very reassured by the high quality design of the Honeywell HPA710WE Premium Air Purifier and am confidant it is significantly improving the air quality in our house which will benefit us over the long term.

    Cannot fault this air purifie
Honeywell always manufacture high end quality products and this premium air purifier is no exception to that rule.
Even the box it was transported in had clear diagrams of what the purifier could do.
The instructions are some of the best I have read, clear and simple to follow – in other words flawless.
The purifier itself has led digital symbols which are so easy to follow, depending on what programme you want to use.
Every occasion for use is well thought out and covers level 1-germs. Level 2 – general. Level 3 -Allergen. Autosleep and a timed auto button.
There is also an child lock button to stop those little fingers fiddling!
Advice as to when to clean and replace filters is also given.
In fact, the clarity and variable modes available are superb

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersQuite large and heavy but apparently effective
Other Air Purifiers, ionizers and simar devices have been used in the past to assist the (mostly night-time) breathing of an asthmatic family member. Effectiveness of most has been limited or non-demonstrable but the various devices were small, generally very portable and inexpensive.

The “Honeywell HPA710WE Premium Air Purifier True HEPA Allergen Remover with Smart LED Air Quality Sensor, 33 W” is a larger and significantly heavier floor-standing unit that is just under 60cm high (almost 24-inches). Essentially similar in size to a medium suitcase, this offers a full-function HEPA filter capable of removing (it claims) 99.97% of tobacco smoke, air-carried vapours and odours, pollen, dust and pet detritus among others; that it is about the highest efficiency possible. There is also an ionizer in this model alone, apparently the top of Honeywell’s range in terms of features, size and price and not in the lesser models.

The top panel is dedicated to its controls and indicators of which there are several including a ‘traffic light’ system of LEDs for air quality – blue is good, red poor, and amber fair. Another indicator shows when filter replacement is due; generally, that will be after about 3-6 months of use (based upon experience with a few other manufacturers’ products) if used daily and for several hours each time but Honeywell are not offering any specific indication presumably as air quality and the contaminents within it in different homes or locations can vary greatly.

Operation is essentially silent although there may be the occasional ‘sizzle’ from its ionizer, apparently insufficient to disrupt sleep patterns as it is presently located in a bedroom. The machine appears to be very effective and the user’s night-time breathing appears to be improved. It is among the higher priced of all similar products from any brand but most tend to have fewer usage options and not always include an ionizer. It is fairly bulky and heavy at 7Kg (approx 15 lbs) and probably will not be relocated from room to room very often but it can process a larger volume of air over a given time than a smaller model.

Honeywell is not a widely-known brand in the UK for household appliances but is a leader within the USA for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and related products. Worth its price if you or a family member need its extra capabilities.
