Does what it should . Limited use if you intend to use for large spraying jobs as the PSI drop is quite swift However, it does work well and I can also use for pin nailing once I’ve got a gun.

Really hard to fault, perhaps a bit heavy to lug about, wheels might have been helpful but that’s a minor fault. I’d buy it again.

First impressions when opening the box that it’s a really compact little machine – prefect for my cramped workshop.
When starting it, I was very impressed with how quiet it is. It’s not ‘silent’ (what compressor could be?) but it’s amazingly quiet and so much better than the old reciprocating compressor I currently have.
I’ll only be using it for nail guns, blowing and possibly some airbrush work – it’s perfect for these tasks but there are larger models if you need to use air tools or for spraying etc.
All in all, I’m very happy with this little machine and am looking forward to setting it to work (as are my ears!).

    Great compact compresso

The package arrived next day from Prime and was easy to assemble and much smaller than my last compressor. So far only used it for pumping up car tyres which was successful with air tank refilling very quickly and very quiet too.

Very quiet and works a treat, ready to use in no time !
    Thank you !

With my old compressor I used to hate it when it kicked in as i was part way through nailing some wood together – I’d jump and my heart would race, not with this compressor.

When this compressor kicks in I don’t even have to raise the volume of the music i’m listening to.
The quiet motor and the thick rubber feet combine to make this compressor the quietest I’ve ever seen (or should that be heard?), my pal has a ‘silent’ SIP compressor that seems a lot nosier than this Hyundai model.

Not that it happens too often, I mainly use this with my nail gun and the 8 litre tank is plenty for this task and this means the compressor only kicks in occasionally.

It has a compact design, making this unit is ideal for my workshop where space is at a premium.

The carry handle is perfectly positioned making this unit easy to move around and seemingly lighter than the stated 15KG

If you are looking for a quiet compact compressor, that’s easy to move about, with a decent sized tank, I can’t recommend the Hyundai 8 litre compressor enough.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOk where to start, when you turn it on it’s not what I expected!!!! I thought it was going to be a high pitch sound but it was silly quite, it also generates air so quick it easily keeps up with a air spray gun for a car. I have also used it to clean panels before I have sprayed to remove dust before I paint and because it’s oil free double whammy..BOOM o yes

Also used it on a nail gun and staple gun and it’s yet again a total beast.

I think the most impressive part is the size, I’ve had a few compressors and they just destroy themselves from the inside out and the noise is so loud that I’ll never go back to a standard compressor again and at 110 I truly don’t think your ever going to get close to the quality that this little beast can do!!!

Totally recommend 100% and I would say use it with 1000% trust.

Quick build up to pressure, very quiet operation, more than capable of running my small engines and airbrushes, will not use a lot of air tools off it as we already own a larger compressor. Very pleased with purchase perfect for my needs.

I like everything about this air compressor.
Firstly oil free is a big bonus, secondly is the noise is so low, that when using the dust blow gun I can’t even hear the compressor running! Enough power and air supply for my other air tools.
It’s far much better than my old one requiring oil change, maintenance and super noisy!
Very pleased with this tool. 😉

I was looking for a small compressor to keep in my work van, this thing is brilliant, very quiet, way quieter than I expected actually. builds up air very quick and is ideal for what i needed, an air supply to blow dust out of motors etc.
All the reviews I read are spot on accurate. It came with a quick coupling but I swapped over to PCL so I can use my tools on it.
For 110 this is a total bargain. So if you need a small portable compressor for airbrush work or just blowing dust out of stuff this is right on the money. Nice job Hyundai.

Great compressor, very happy with it. Bought for airbrushing small items rather than one of the smaller kit types in the same price bracket. With added moisture trap and works beautifully for that. I have also used to inflate 4×4 tyres no problem with that either. It’s not silent but silenced for sure and quiet enough not to disturb the neighbours. I’m sound sensitive and have no problem with the noise level compared to having to wear ear defenders when using my previous parkway compressor which was so loud I dreaded using it.
Great compressor for its size and correct applications most negative reviews seem to be the very occasional defective unit or people expecting it to preform like a 200 litre industrial unit. Personally I would not hesitate to by this unit again it’s perfect for my needs.

Bought this as in my opinion it appears to be much better made than the airbrush specific compressor,s I’ve been looking at, although a lot of them had some good (and bad) reviews, this one looked as good as my full size ( loud) clarkes compressor.
I’m glad I made the choice I did, when it arrived I couldn’t help but marvel at the workmanship and quality for such a low price.
I couldn’t believe how quiet it is when running, my wife was in the living room, and I was in the kitchen, (we have a 5ftx4ft hatch linking the two,) and she was amazed that it was barely audible in the living room.
It fills up to pressure very quickly, and suffers from no air loss whatsoever.
This is one of the best small airbrush compressors in my opinion, fairly lightweight, compact, and whisper quiet.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this unit to anyone looking for a compressor to run airbrushes, and other light demand air tools.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI bought this to replace my HUGE v-twin 3000watt beast. I still needed a small airflow for small jobs.
Wasn’t sure if this tin can on wheels would inflate a paper bag, but.
    OH MY!!
    What a little beauty.
It runs a belt and maintains pressure in a small tank, regardless of output! And it’s virtually silent!!
    What is this Sorcery!??
Wish I had bought it years ago.
Will easily run an underseal gun.
Will easily run an shot bladt gun.
Will easily run a mini HVLP gun for spraying single panels.
Will run a full size HVLP gun over one side of a car!!?
Unbelievable performance for short term DIY use.
PLEASE Don’t think it would be suitable for TRADE use.
    It won’t.
But it would be VERY, VERY good for AIRBRUSH Pro’s.

I wanted a small compressor that I could carry about and do little jobs on the car/garden/house and it has been brilliant. It doesn’t take long for the tank to fill up, and has enough in there to add a few psi to each tyre on two cars, if you are careful. If you do run out its not a hardship to run an extension lead to it, and away it goes.
It is very quiet compared to my larger one that I cannot move.
I have used it to blow crumbs off the seat of the car, clean bird feeder and many other uses.
It is not heavy and as long as your not expecting to spray a car or use heavy use air tools then this is the compressor to go for.
If my large compressor breaks I will definitely be buying Hyundai!

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersPros:-
Low weight, very quiet for a piston type compressor( my upstairs neighbour cannot hear it operating even at the quietest time of the day, ie 2 to 6am 🙂 which is great because i tend to be a virtual nightbird, lol!, )overall build quality is good.Price is very competitive. Good thickness of paint on the tank, Drain valve is really good and well placed on the tank.
    Cons:-
Euro ‘quick release’ air outlet makes a generally really nice unit far less useful ‘out of the box’ than a lot of its competitors. A simple ‘1/4 inch BSP’ threaded hole with a standard double ‘male” 1/4 inch BSP spigot would be much more useful, as this size thread is pretty much standard in this class of compressor.
An item of concern is the wall thickness of the castings . From what i could see, you need to be VERY careful not to accidentally overtighten any components of the air regulation unit if they ever need replacing.
The power ‘ push-pull’ switch is WAY too stiff to operate with just your thumb and fingers, it either needs the size/diameter increasing considerably, or the mechanism made a lot less stiff to operate( the current switch is small in diameter with sharp ‘knurls’ that cut into your digits painfully when enough force is applied to pull it into the ‘power on’ position.
The other main bugbear is the ridiculously short power cable ( barely 1 metre in length) which means an extension cable is needed 95% of the time.
    Minor ‘niggles’ :-
Could not find any ‘dump valve’ fitted, but the tank drain tap works easily for the same operation.

    Overall:-
Great value for money. ‘Refilling’ is very quick when the compressor is in use ( in my case to run 1 or 2 airbrushes at about 20PSI ). Living in a small groundfloor flat, size and noise level are quite important, and it meets those restrictions very well.
If the switch was easier to operate, and a sensible length of power cord was supplied i would have given it 5 stars, but the issues mentioned above sadly means i can only give the product 3 stars. :((

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this to replace a small air compressor I bought from Screwfix several years ago. My old one was OK except that like many others it is really noisy and I couldn’t use it in my man cave/shed without wearing ear defenders.

Despite the predicted delivery time of 1-2weeks it actually arrived two working days later undamaged in a sturdy cardboard box. The only thing needed was to unpack it and attach the air filter.

Noise wise, compared to my old compressor this one is a complete contrast. It isn’t silent but is very quiet and it fills its small tank quickly. Being the smallest model it doesn’t have the flowrate for large tools but I wanted it for clearing swarf, shavings etc from a CNC router, general workshop use and maybe for a laser cutter if I ever get that far.

What do I miss compared to my old one – nothing really apart from it had an easily adjustable pressure regulator but this one doesn’t. Not an issue for my usage.

All in all a good purchase. I am very happy.

Plus points I clue that it comes with an intake filter, which is very handy for when working in a dusty environment and is relatively portable thanks to the carry handle and weight.

Nice compressor and does what it says regarding the output.
The bar to carry the whole thing is well placed and balanced, and you can therefore easily transport it.
    No negatives really.
Happy with the purchase and allows me to realise a lot more personal projects in the mancave now.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersI bought this after looking at various compressors for my laser cutter and could not be happier. It arrived next day as expected and was very well packaged. The unit is factory set ready to go so i plugged it in and was shocked by just how quiet it was, then i noticed the small black can silencer in the box so screwed that in and wow what a difference, even quieter than before. This compressor will be used next to mt laser cutter to provide a powerful stream of air whilst cutting mdf wood so needed to be reliable and quiet. So far i have been really happy with the consistency of air flow and the power it supplies. I could easily run an air nailer from this little machine and it certainly has enough oooomph to keep up with my work flow. At only 104 I couldnt be happier with my purchase. 5 stars, highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis compressor looks more expensive than it’s retail price. Fills the 8 litre tank quickly and quietly. It’s a product that gives you confidence that you will finish the job you started and not go up in a cloud of smoke like others in this price range. I would recommend this compressor and supplier to anyone wanting a first class product at a very competitive price. Five stars all the way.

Compared to my current Compressor it is a Bit loud. pressure slowly bleeds off unlike my current compressor which is fully Air tight with all it’s hoses on. Bought it because I need something capable of running a Mini sandblaster or slightly Larger Spray gun. will run my Airbrushes quite comfortably

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersReceived next day. Very quite, maximum pressure charge it is 6.5 bar about (92 PSI) with a strong blast than it automatically re-start if the pressure drops down at 4.5 bar about (63 PSI), it easily cope at 4.5 bar only with an intermittent work (on/off usage while re-charging), if it is in constant use it will drops down at 2 bar and it can guarantee a constant air flow at 2 bar about (30PSI) while in constant charging mode, it will re-charge from 2 bar to 4.5 bar in about 5 second and full re-charge in about 20 second 6.5 bar. In conclusion if you give it a few second in between the short/medium blast I believe this compressor will meet the expectation. It weight 17.5Kg as printed on the box.

    Very compact and quiet.
When it arrived box was badly damaged, luckily the only damage was the plug which was crushed.shows how strong the compressor is as there was no other damage. It’s surprisingly powerful for such a small unit, have used it to clean components and inflate tyres.
    So far very impressed.

    Quiet and powerful

compressor is excellent for what use intended, very low noise level , will not run large air tools but not designed for that, great in small workshop to blow off dust, air brush use etc, build quality very good, in all very pleased with product. Good value @ price.

This is excellent and very quiet as described. My only regret is not getting the bigger litre capacity model but for my initial purposes for blowing out dust, water ideal. Not sure how long it would take to inflate tyres though.

Golden Review Award: 35 From Our UsersThis compressor is amazing, so much better than I expected and was delivered within 2 days.
I wanted a quiet compressor for the shed to allow me to blow off dust and swarf from my lathe and for clearing out carburettor passages.
I fired it up and fitted an air gun and hose I had and away it went, amazingly quiet and did the job perfectly.
I’ve just got to find a place for it now, my shed ain’t the tidiest I must admit.

Awesome bit of kit, very quiet and does the job for its intention.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersIf you like quiet then this is the baby for you. Ultra, ultra-quiet, and a fantastic purchase. Was not expecting this beauty to be as smooth and as noise-free, as she is, forget all the other so-called “Whisper Quiet” models from other sellers, this far and away, the best compressor on the market in the UK.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIf you’re thinking of buying a small mains voltage compressor, then I can highly recommend this model. It is VERY quiet, builds up to full pressure quickly, and extremely good value for money. In fact, I don’t know how they can manufacture and deliver it at this price. I am very impressed, and such fast delivery from the Hyundai agent.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersCompact and comparatively light compared to similar compressors. Much quieter than other compressors too. Great piece of kit for a DIYer like me. Use it for seating and inflating tubeless MTB tyres, inflating car tyres, cleaning golf shoes and trolley wheels. Also good for drying mechanical parts after washing. Cleans hard to reach parts on bikes and other mechanical parts.
Great price and delivered next working day. Can’t fault it.

Golden Review Award: 36 From Our UsersAfter much research looking to upgrade an older Draper diaphragm compressor and looking at compressors with tanks, I settled for this Hyundai 5508 model. Low noise and an 8 litre tank would be perfect to run my airbrush. I have opened the box and read the instructions, assembly just requires a rubber tube to be put into an air filter and the air filter to be wound in to the compressor housing, and that’s it, it’s ready to go. Instructions for use are clear and within minutes I was ready to switch on to test. Turning on the unit I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it is for its size and it happily went to 7 bar of pressure before automatically cutting out ready to use. Air being used, the compressor will kick back in at just below 4 bar to start filling the tank again. From empty to full only takes less than a minute. A small screw valve at the bottom of the tank empties the air when turned for finishing using it. Pressure can be regulated down to lower settings by adjusting a screw inside the switch housing, but this for me will make the compressor work more often the lower the pressure is set, so I need to buy a small regulator to fix to the air outlet that allows me adjust the air pressure to 4 bar. For Airbrushing this is perfect, you wont be disappointed, so far hooking it all up it works brilliantly. Other compressors for the same price only have a 3 litre tank, whereas this has 8 litre. Highly recommended for the hobbyist or Artist.
